St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, Florida is an absolute disgrace, but it’s just another Catholic installation in these days when Catholic Church policy is strictly enforced willful ignorance and denial about the jihad threat. Cowardice and self-delusion rule the day among Catholic clergy today. You can be sure that St. Petersburg Catholic High School would never dream of having a speaker talk honestly about the Muslim persecution of Christians, or the bases for the jihad threat in Islamic texts and teachings. Why, that would be “Islamophobic”! It could harm the “Muslim-Christian dialogue.” You know, that dialogue that hasn’t spared a single Christian from Muslim persecution, or stopped jihadis from destroying a single church.
This willful ignorance and outright deception about the threat the Church and the free world face is heading both for disaster. When that disaster comes, I hope the principal of St. Petersburg Catholic High School, Father Richard Rosen, will stand up and take a bow. Call him at (727) 344-4065 and politely and courteously ask him the questions below.
“Pro-jihad hatemonger addresses Catholic school kids,” by Pamela Geller, WND, March 14, 2016:
Despite the continuing Muslim genocide of Christians in the Middle East and Africa, American Catholic leaders continue not only to turn a blind eye to jihad terror and the persecution of their fellow Christians, but are actively aiding and abetting the forces that are persecuting them. Last month, the entire student body of St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, was called together to hear a deceptive presentation on “Islamophobia” from the notorious Ahmed Bedier, who openly supports the jihad terror group Hezbollah and has worked for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR).
Bedier’s address was ostensibly about fighting the supposedly rising level of “Islamophobia”; he also offered what he presented as a primer on Islamic culture. In it, he blamed the U.S. for ISIS, claiming that the bloodthirsty caliphate arose because we bombed innocent civilians in Iraq. He also called out Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, white people, Jews, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Ben Carson – all as examples of Muslim-haters – while proselytizing for Islam.
Bedier compared a Jewish podiatrist with Osama bin Laden, claiming that this podiatrist had weapons in his house and was planning to attack an Islamic center. He didn’t address the disparity between this one alleged attacker and bin Laden’s worldwide terror network. He dismissed the jihad terror group ISIS, which controls a territory larger than Great Britain and has attracted 30,000 foreign jihadis to its ranks, as “a few people.” He blamed the rise of ISIS on Syria’s Assad, claiming that when people demonstrated for freedom, Assad bombed the protesters and insisted that we are overstating the threat of Islamic terror groups, especially ISIS. We are spending too much on security and war, he said, and declared that we should be spending that money on alleviating poverty.
The real problem, said Bedier, is anti-Muslim bigotry. “Islamophobia,” he said, is all over TV, and no one is challenging it. He said that “Islamophobia” is just like anti-Semitism and the same thing will happen: We’ll have a Holocaust. He didn’t mention that FBI statistics show that anti-Semitic attacks are much more common than attacks on innocent Muslims. Nor did he address the Islamic texts and teachings jihadis use to justify violence.
Bedier also falsified history, claiming falsely that “Muslims were here even before America was founded.” He said that “some of Columbus’ navigators were Muslims – because he was from Portugal, and Portugal and Spain were controlled by and were led by Muslims for over 700 years until the Inquisitions happened. You can read more about that.” And if you do, you’ll discover that no Muslims accompanied Columbus. And to be completely accurate, it must be noted that Muslims did in fact play a role in early America – America fought its first and second foreign wars against the Barbary Pirates, who were Muslim jihad raiders, as memorialized in the Marine Hymn, “to the shores of Tripoli.” The first mosque wasn’t established in the U.S. until 1915, and relatively few mosques were founded before the 1960s, when the great hijrah to the West began in earnest.
Join Pamela Geller in her fight to retain free-speech rights and the uniquely American culture — read “Stop The Islamization Of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance”
Bedier’s lies didn’t stop there. He said that when the Muslims ruled Spain from the 700s until the 1490s, they allowed the Jews and Christians to worship freely: “The society could continue to be a Catholic society. Now compare that to what happened when the Europeans came to America.” He said that in contrast to how good the Muslims in Spain were to the Jews and Christians, it took a couple of hundred years for the Europeans to exterminate the Native Americans and eliminate them from their lands. He said: “Now they are limited to casinos.” This is nonsense. In reality, Jews and Christians could only live in peace in Muslim Spain if they submitted to Muslim hegemony, paid the jizya tax, and accepted the humiliating and discriminatory regulations that ensured their second-class status.
Bedier asked the 350 assembled students if they thought it would be fair to be called terrorists because of what Timothy McVeigh did, falsely connecting McVeigh with Catholicism and Christianity, which of course is erroneous since McVeigh was not a Christian at the time of the Oklahoma City bombing. And besides, no one is calling all Muslims terrorists anyway. He also showed the students pictures of Ahmed the Clock Boy in handcuffs, telling the kids how the incident of his fake clock/bomb and arrest showed anti-Muslim bigotry. He claimed that three Muslims had been murdered in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, by an “Islamophobe,” when actually the killer was a deranged man who was enraged over a parking dispute.
“Islamophobia” is not limited just to Trump and Carson, Bedier said. It also comes from the media. He challenged what he claimed were false media portrayals of Islam: Shariah, he said, is basically a code of ethics. He didn’t mention that it’s a code of ethics that calls for stoning for adultery, amputation of the hand for theft, the denial of equal rights to women and non-Muslims, and restrictions on speech. He claimed that there was no compulsion in Islam and that women were not forced to cover their heads. Tell that to Aqsa Parvez, who was murdered by her father and brother for refusing to wear the hijab – and the innumerable other girls and women who have been similarly victimized. By contrast to this supposed freedom from compulsion in Islam, he claimed that “secularism is a religion in Europe” and that Europe imposes its secularism on people of faith.
When he was asked if Muslim women have to walk a certain distance behind men, Bedier answered: “This is some of the stereotypes. If the women do happen walk behind the man, it’s not a protocol thing, it’s just the men are silly and they walk ahead. I see a lot of white guys walking ahead and their girls way behind. It doesn’t mean that he read that is a protocol somewhere or he’s following his teachings, he’s just being a guy. So it’s their male chauvinism. Yes, it exists worldwide. It’s not because of the faith; it’s because men are not being gentlemen.” This was ridiculous: He was relying on the ignorance of his audience, counting on them not to know how Islam institutionalizes the subjugation of women.
Bedier claimed that the only difference between Muslims and Christians is the status of Jesus. “Jesus is a part of our faith,” he said. “Muslims believe in Jesus, son of Mary” and that Jesus was born of a virgin. “We don’t believe it because it’s popular,” he said, “we believe it because it is written in the Quran.” He said that the Quran was the only sacred book (other than the New Testament) that confirms that Mary is from G-d – that Mary is the mother of Jesus, that there was a virgin birth, and that Jesus is from G-d.
In a dig at Jews and Judaism, Bedier said: “As much as Ted Cruz and others would like to talk about Judeo-Christian values, you realize the Jewish faith did not accept Jesus Christ as the messiah, right? You understand that? If the Jewish people accepted Jesus as the Messiah then they would be Christian, correct? So for us, we accept Jesus and the message of Jesus; the difference is that we don’t view Jesus as divine or part divine, meaning we don’t believe Jesus is one with G-d in the Holy Trinity.”
Bedier said that Muhammad was the founder of Islam, but that in the Quran G-d talks about Jesus five times more than he talks about Muhammad. “We believe that Mary is highly regarded. We have an actual chapter in the Quran called Mary. My daughter is named Miriam after Mary. Mary is very loved in the Quran by Muslims; we just don’t see her as divine or that she somehow delivered G-d’s Son. We highly respect Jesus. We follow his teachings and we believe Jesus will return before the end of times. We don’t believe Muhammad is going to return at the end of times, we believe that Jesus will actually return before the end of times and will unite the believers together.”
This was open proselytizing for Islam, especially in light of the fact that the students had certainly not studied Islam’s critique of Christianity or been given any ways to counter it.
In sum, his presentation (unsurprisingly) was pure propaganda and completely one-sided, and nothing short of a disgrace. No one should be surprised by that. Bedier has a long history of extremely controversial associations. According to Discover the Networks, as far back as 2002, Bedier was the outreach director for the Islamic Society of Pinellas County, “a mosque whose website features material calling for violence against Jews. Moreover, he has cultivated relationships with organizations and individuals connected to anti-Israel terrorist groups overseas, including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Hezbollah. In February 2003, Bedier began working as communications director for the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). This was subsequent to CAIR’s involvement in the funding of Hamas, which had taken place prior to December 2001, at which time Hamas’ American financing wing, the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), was shut down by the U.S. government. Also in February 2003, the Tampa-based terrorist and former University of South Florida professor Sami al-Arian was taken into custody by the FBI – indicted for his leadership role within Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Bedier became Al-Arian’s ‘unofficial spokesman,’ holding press conferences where he voiced concern about the government’s treatment of the professor, and allowing his radio program to be used as a propaganda vehicle for al-Arian’s family and his PIJ colleagues.”
On his radio show, Bedier has given considerable airtime to guests who praised the jihad terror group Hezbollah.
Bedier’s association with CAIR is significant. It is a matter of public record that CAIR is “an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case – so named by the Justice Department. CAIR operatives have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror.
It is disgraceful that a Catholic school would host such an event, but not surprising. The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) recently launched a “National Catholic-Muslim Dialogue,” partnering with pro-Shariah groups linked to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood: the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). The pope insists that the Quran teaches peace. St. Petersburg High School is just following along.
Still, its leaders should have more discernment and moral courage. The principal of St. Petersburg High School is Father Richard Rosen; his phone number is (727) 344-4065. Politely contact him and ask him why he allowed someone with so many ties to terror as Bedier to address the school. I called, but Rosen would not take my call. I was referred to Sister Marie Daniel, the school’s marketing director, who confirmed that Bedier’s presentation did happen and said she would try to have someone get back to me. No one did, of course.
If Rosen had had the courage to take my call, I would have asked him these questions:
1. When you invited Bedier, were you aware of his connections with CAIR, and of CAIR’s connections to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood – established by the Department of Justice?
2. When you invited him, were you aware of his work as a spokesman for Sami Al-Arian, an admitted leader of the terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad?
3. When you invited him, were you aware that he has featured supporters of the terror group Hezbollah on his radio show?
4. If you were not aware of those connections when you invited him, would you invite him again now that you know of them?
5. What were your impressions about what Bedier said? Do you endorse his message – particularly his claim that “Islamophobia” is a legitimate problem, rather than a term invented to intimidate people into thinking it wrong to oppose jihad terror?
6. Do you plan to bring in a spokesman to discuss the reality of the global jihad threat or the Muslim persecution of Christians? If not, why not?
I hope Rosen will answer these questions. His students, and their parents, deserve answers, rather than Islamic proselytizing followed by stonewalling.

What would you call blaming the US for ISIS, or calling Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, white people, Jews, Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and Ben Carson “muslim-haters”?

The priest in charge of our local [REAL] Catholic School here in Ks. invited me to teach there. He asked me to teach ‘American History’ because he said ‘I know you’ll teach it the right way.’
During the last semester the topic of ‘islam’ came up (as it inevitably would). I told Father that I wished to teach that islam was demonic, and evil. Father said, ‘That is exactly what I wish you to teach. Islam IS demonic; that is Church teaching.’
The vast majority of our ‘Catholic’ schools are-just as Robert has said-alas!-not worthy of the name. But we have a [steadily growing] number of small schools-those run by the FSSP, the SSPX-which are still Catholic, militantly Catholic.
Will all here reading this please hold my Church in their prayers? Particularly with a Pope making un-Catholic ‘statements’ on a regular basis: We need more courageous Bishops who hold the [Catholic] line. Please know, all of you, that I hold your churches in my poor prayers, that they too will use God’s grace to stand against Satan, aka ‘allah’. For both are the same, the Prince of Lies.

Kudos for your activism, Kathy 🙂
Kathy Brown, Esq. says
My dear friend: I have no doubt whatsoever that, by virtue of our very membership in ‘SIOA’, we are all ‘activists’.
The great thing to remember is that we ourselves can NEVER do enough to overcome islam. Islam is Satan. And as we all know from Scripture: He is only a little less ‘perfect’ than Almighty God, Himself.
But when we unite our ‘widow’s mite’ to His omnipotence, and beg His assistance? Then we are more than victorious. Indeed: Next Sunday we celebrate Christ’s conquering death itself…
So: I teach my students that this is the only reason our beloved country was successfully founded, then became what it is, the greatest nation on the face of the earth. And I also teach them that this is why we-the-people, can withstand-then defeat-islam/Satan.

” SECRETARY OF STATE KERRY HAS NOW MADE IT OFFICIAL —- ISLAMIC STATE IS COMMITTING GENOCIDE AGAINST CHRISTIANS”
But, as you and I both know, that White House approved claptrap perpetuates the utterly bogus notion that such genocide is un-Islamic and a perversion of the ROP; a fairy tale too many of our fellow citizens still believe to be factual.
Goebbels would be proud of our “leaders”.
Manuel Paleologus says
From what I read here it makes me sick at my stomach. This Catholic priest is a betrayer of the Catholic Church and Faith. It cannot be a compromise between Christianity and Islam. The Christian Faith is a true divinely established religion. Islam is not a religion to begin with. It is a morbid perverted ideological cult, a demonic and antichrist cult.
Since 622 Islam slauthered tribes, nations and butchered tens and tens of thousands of innocent Christian, Jewish people. What this so called priest is claiming is contrary to the historical reality of islam.
He is serving islam and not the Catholic Church. He is a Judah type of priest who wants to usher in Islam and see the destruction of the Universal Church.
Islamophobia is not a hatred towards islam but speaks directly of what Islam is. Islamophobia is a political tool used by pro-Muslims to brainwash and scare the stupids and dummies. Compare the what Jesus said and did and what Muhammad wrote and did.
This Catholic prelate needs a good counseling and to spend some time in good monastery to repent and recant the idiotically assertions he made during this speech.
God help the American nation to have a president who loves America because we are sick and tired of all these political correct liars.

Thankfully a few good Catholic schools remain which won’t tolerate this. But the vast majority are just in lockstep with the “spirit of Vatican II” — and that means destructive, lying doctrines about interreligious dialogue.
The Roman Catholic Church is mostly a crippled, ineffectual institution. The strong, orthodox remnant will be weathering hard times for the foreseeable future.
mortimer says
Is Father Richard Rosen aware that Islam has designs on the conquest of Rome and the destruction of Christian faith worldwide through jihad?
Those two beliefs are practically universal among Muslims, because not believing in jihad, turns a Muslim into an apostate-kafir who is considered to have left Islam and should be executed.
Is Father Rosen aware that the Vatican is heavily fortified today as a consequence of the raids of Muslims against the Vatican?
Is Father Rosen aware that Congress has just voted unanimously to declare that ISIS is committing genocide against Christians in Iraq and Syria.
Westman says
“,,we just don’t see her[Mary] as divine or that she somehow delivered God’s Son. We highly respect Jesus. We follow his teachings and we believe Jesus will return before the end of times.”
Let’s see what this means. Islam believes that:
1. Jesus was not the Son Of God. He was only a Prophet.
2. Jesus did not die on the cross.
3. There was no Atonement by Jesus for sin.
4. Christianity is false and worships a prophet.
5. Jesus will come back and destroy the arch-enemy of Islam – the Jews.
As an Agnostic, even I have no difficulty understanding the damage this Judas Priest Principal has done to the faith of vulnerable students by letting a crafty destroyer inject poison into unguarded immature minds.
Who will the “Father”, guardian of the flock, invite next? Pornography workers? Some “made men” from the Mafia? Some skin-heads from Idaho?

True Mortimer.
Perhaps the most telling evidence of His Holiness’s part in WWII was given by none other than Joachim Von Ribbentrop-Hitler’s Foreign Minister-at the Nuremberg Trials.
Good ol’ Joachim testified that the Pope was a ‘constant’ opponent of the Third Reich. He further testified that the Nazis knew he was sheltering Jews and other enemies of Hitler; but that his activities were ‘cloaked in the impenetrable mystery’ surrounding the Vatican.
On the stand Von Ribbentrop became quite exercised about the Church’s actions. He appeared to nurse quite the grudge v. the Pope since he had ‘cheated’ (VR’s words) Germany of many ‘political enemies’.
Lowlife VR was hanged as a common criminal in Nuremberg in 1946. Pope Pius XII died in 1958, much revered not only by the Church, but indeed by the government of Israel.
Perhaps ‘Lee’ could have recourse to Israel’s inclusion of His Holiness in the those named as ‘Righteous Among The Nations’. Surely they have the last word on who was, or was not, pro-Jew and anti-Hitler.

Bedier’s deception involves misrepresenting the defective, lackadaisical practice of Islam by negligent Muslims as normative. Lax Muslims are actually called ‘hypocrites’ in the Koran.
Therefore, to call non-jihadist Muslims ‘normative’ is to misrepresent Islam as laxity.
Sharia law demands the practice of all its laws and the belief in all Islamic doctrines, including the requirement of participating in jihad, the world conquest by Muslims through violence and deception.
Father Rosen is a well-meaning dupe and if he has the guts to do so, he should correct all the disinformation his students received and apologize to the parents and students for the error of judgement in bringing a terror-supporter to deceive and promote theocratic totalitarian and anti-Catholic propaganda.
The deceits in Bedier’s address would require a book to refute to explain all the ways that he lied to the students.

Robert Spencer and Pam Geller, I wholeheartedly support your words and actions. However, I chose to e-mail Fr. Richard Rosin instead of calling him. Here is an excerpt of the e-mail that I sent:
“I offer an unsolicited caution: Your good intentions may well surpass those of the speakers that you allow to formally address your students. I am specifically referring to Ahmed Bedier.
Having taught in Catholic schools, attended and graduated from Catholic schools — elementary, high school, college, and graduate schools — I understand and support the mission and goals of Catholic education. Likewise, after 20 years of service in the intelligence arena — national and international– I am most familiar with threat analysis, threat groups, and terrorist strategies and tactics. Additionally, with a degree in history, I am most familiar with the influence/impact of Islam on Middle Eastern, European, and other Western countries, including the United States.
Ahmed Bedier is disingenuous in his presentation. Here are only some of the examples:
1. The Investigative Project provides a snapshot profile of Ahmed Bedier. He has publicly supported the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas — whose Charter calls for the total destruction of Israel — and Hezbollah. Further, he has supported Sami al-Arian, who was convicted in the Holy Land Foundation Funding Trial for providing support to a terrorist organization. As a side note, he supports the stoning of women for adultery . . . if there are four male witnesses to verify the contact was not consensual . . . which would mean that they stood idly while watching the crime occur.
http://www.investigativeproject.org/profile/175/ahmed-Bedier
2. Ahmed Bedier makes no mention of the Muslim Brotherhood, an astonishing omission, unless, of course, you know that CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) is the primary front in the United States for the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization condemned even by Egypt for its ties to Islamic terrorism. Bedier knows this, proudly supports it, and relies on you and others not knowing it. His words and actions are in complete accord with the mission, goals, principles, and tactics promulgated in “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Group [Muslim Brotherhood] in North America” (5/22/1991). That is dangerous.
http://www.clarionproject.org/Muslim_Brotherhood_Explanatory_Memorandum
3. Ahmed Bedier is lying about the real Muslim recognition of Jesus. What Bedier does not say is that the Islamic canonical texts (Qur’an and Hadith) are adamant that those who believe that Jesus (the Jesus of History) is the Son of God (the Christ of Faith) should be killed. In fact, the Qur’an, the Islamic “immutable” word of God (Allah) mandates that Christians be killed because they worship more than one God. Muslims do not accept the Trinitarian One-God-Three-Persons, Christian dogma and believe that Christians, instead, worship three Gods. Muslims consider Christians to be polytheists (idolators), the punishment for which is death mandated by Allah:
Quran 9:5 – “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them.”
Quran 47:3-4 – “Those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord… So, when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah’s Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives) … If it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them (without you). But (He lets you fight), in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.”
Additionally, the Hadith tells you a lot about the Jesus that Muslims honor:
“The Prophet said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus. He will descent (sic) (to the earth) … He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam.” (Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 37, Number 4310, Narrated by Abu Hurayrah: see also Sahih Bukhari Volume 3, Book 43, Number 656)
http://www.answering-islam.org/Authors/JR/Future/ch06_the_muslim_jesus.htm
4. Ahmed Bedier did not tell the students what Allah [God], and therefore Islam, thinks of Christians. Let me do it for Bedier: Muslims are the “best of peoples,” while Christians and Jews are the “vilest of creatures.” So, as Bedier spoke to your students, he saw himself as superior in all ways to them . . . and to you . . . and to Christianity . . . and to every other religion on earth. Supremacy is a trademark of Islam, a trademark that crouches behind claims of victimization and charges of “Islamophobia.”
Quran 3:110 – “Ye [Muslims] are the best of Peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book [Christians and Jews] had Faith [Islamic faith], it were best for them: among them are some who have Faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.”
Quran 98:6 – “Verily, those who disbelieve [in the religion of Islam, the Qur’an and Prophet Muhammad] from among the people of the Scripture [Jews and Christians] and Al-Mushrikun [polytheists] will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the vilest of creatures.”
In summary, the Islamic canonical texts are the source of rhetoric used by those who commit unfathomable atrocities against Christians, Jews, Yazidis, Hindus, Buddhists, et al. That also accounts for the almost 1400-year conflict between Sunni and Shia, as each branch considers the other to be apostates, the punishment for which is, of course, death.
As such, I offer this suggestion as an appropriate opportunity to address the truth with your students. Invite a Catholic speaker, whose knowledge of the Islamic canonical texts is unsurpassed: Robert Spencer. He is a superb speaker who professionally and respectfully addresses issues. Though all of the 1.9 billion Muslims in the world do not want to kill us, they do worship Allah, who is titled, “the Greatest Deceiver” (Quran 3:54). There is no Christian testament in which it is recorded that Jesus referred to Himself as such. Instead, He denounced the Greatest Deceiver with these words: “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 14:1) Your students deserve to know the truth.”

Frank, thank you for your reply. It was an honor for me to write a necessary argument, in behalf of Christianity, to Fr. Rosin. For anyone interested in doing likewise, his e-mail address is: .
Cecilia Ellis says
Here is an extract of the e-mail I sent to Fr. Richard Rosin earlier today:
“Ahmed Bedier is disingenuous in his presentation.
Muslims consider Christians to be polytheists (idolators), the punishment for which is mandated by Allah:

I want everyone to know, this Pope Francis has decided to put the Catholic Church in a crisis. This Pope has gone way above scripture to put his own opinions as if they were from God. And they r not.
Many feel he is a betrayer of all Catholic.
He has criticized Catholic families and embraced homosexuality as the norm. He has told Catholic families, ” not to breed like rabbits”, when the drop rate of Catholic births have never been lower in history!. He has allowed Muslim families to live in the Vatican, criticising nations, USA, about how dare we limit immigration.
His love for the Muslim in one breath, then the reality of Italy and it’s merkle Muslim migration finnaly made him realize, in 10-20 years, there will be more Muslims in Italy then Catholics, because of muslim high birth rate.
This Reverend in this church is insane. How dare he do this, without another Catholic person to argue the debated side and question this Muslim about the horrific abuse Muslims do to Christians in middle East, Egypt and India.
Sickens me, that this was done. I pray the parents saw this and was educated enough to rip into this reverand. He definitely deserved it if they did.

Lee, I firmly believe that Martin Luther, Huldreich Zwingli, John Knox, Thomas Cranmer, Nicholas Ridley, John Calvin and the whole show were on to something about the papacy; and basically read the Bible aright . Maybe RC’s who really love Christ ought to become Evangelicals–we’ll have progressive Popish prleates profiting Protestant pews.

Ah, according to their website it is Father Richard Rosin, not Rosen. Pamela should be more careful not to misname the person she is directing her ire at, lest she be accused of sloppy journalism. Likewise, Robert should be checking her work for accuracy before posting important errors such as this, as fact.
That said, Rosin’s position is still wholly indefensible, but the majority of Catholics that I know, as I am one also, pay no heed to Francis and his inane mutterings.

A great and bitter modern irony is that the current Catholic clergy en masse, starting with the present Pope, are extraordinarily failing their own faith and Catholics worldwide. It would not surprise me in the least if a mass exodus from Roman Catholicism occurs over the next decade or two, so dismal, so ignorant, so wrong is what passes for the Catholic hierarchy nowadays. I think it not too strong of an assertion to state that the current Catholic hierarchy is actually betraying the traditional Roman Catholic faith.
I would contend that this is due, above all, to Vatican II being a debacle, a debacle which is now manifesting its idiocies in voluminous amounts. Seen from this perspective, Pope John XXIII, an old fool if ever there were one, who called Vatican II, is extra culpable in this regard. Were I a Catholic, it would break my heart to see what has happened to the Catholic Church over the past half century.
Oh yes indeed, let’s go into full kumbaya mode and wish each other a sign of peace. Yuck.
awake says
I concur to a point, Wellington. Vatican II was an attempt at tolerance and inclusion, whether we Catholics agree or disagree. Francis is merely a progression to a fault now.
The Church is still very strong and I actually predict an uptick, as the last bastion against the eradication of faith-based morality. Political pontiffs aside, the power of Christ will continue to compel us all, who are so inclined to believe.
And that is a good thing in my estimation.
Wellington says
If Francis, awake, were just about the only problem in the Church, I wouldn’t have written what I did. But I see an extensive change in a great deal of the Catholic hierarchy over the past half century which is not a positive one and which directly stems back to Vatican II. I mean just look at how many times here at JW Robert Spencer has an article on yet another Catholic prelate counseling foolishness where Islam is concerned. They seem legion anymore. And American Catholic universities and colleges, almost all of them, are Catholic in name only now. A neighbor of mine who went to a Catholic college and remains to this day a Catholic refuses to send her children to her alma mater so disgusted is she with its political correctness, multiculturalism and overall leftism. The pre-Vatican II Church would not have allowed this.
Vatican II also did other damage, for instance destroying for all intents and purposes the Latin Mass. As for Vatican II being an attempt at tolerance and inclusion, what was it about the pre-Vatican II Catholic Church that was wrong, unethical or not expansive enough in mind about the world? Vatican II for me serves as a classic example of that old saying if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Catholic Church was not broken and yet John XXIII thought it was. Big mistake I would contend. As early as 1969 I noticed that the kind of men going into the priesthood were not the kind of old. Many were effeminate. Real men need to be priests, not girly men. This change too I think can be laid at the feet of Vatican II, at least in part.
Kepha says
Guys, like a lot of Protestants about a century before them, the prelates of the Second Vatican Council lost their nerve and decided to take their cue from their cultured despisers.
I’ll admit there’s a lot in pre-Vatican II RC belief that I can’t accept: immaculate conception of Mary (for the record, this is NOT the virgin birth of Christ, which I do accept), bodily assumption of Mary, encouraging veneration of images and saints (as if the average Irishman saying, “Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!” distinguishes latria, hyperdoulia, and doulia in doing so), indulgences, tradition on a par with Scripture, and the anathematizing of justification as God’s forensic act (as done at Trent). But at least the pre-Vatican II RCC recognized the necessity of Christ’s work for our salvation. While I sympathize with Vatican II’s attempts at irenicism towards us “separated brethren”, I think they went a little too far, too.
Think I’ll go to bed, read a couple chapters of the Bible, and a couple chapters of Calvin’s _Institutes_.
Dale Netherton says
The Two Prong Attacks of Islam
A false dichotomy is afoot. The notion that Islam is only composed of “Radical” extremists and the other Muslims are simply peaceful is actually a two prong effort to instill Sharia law by two methods of infiltration. First ,the one that gets the most attention is the bloody acts of killing and maiming witnessed most recently by the attacks in Paris. Here the suicidal fanatics demonstrate to the innocents and the muslim population at large how dedicated and ruthless they can be. Willing to blow themselves up to instill terror in the hearts of the innocents they simultaneously instill that same terror in the Muslims passively going along who dare not speak up against their fanatical brothers acting out the atrocities of Mohammad. This method of spreading Islam has been the strategy of Islamists from the first days of this religion. The objective of creating Sharia law and the killing of infidels, the worldwide conquest of all nations, and the establishment of a caliphate drive this movement.
Once the terror is established by the fanatics the road is clear for the passive Muslims to make their move by infiltration and non-assimilation into countries primarily of another persuasion. Relying on the altruism and fear of their victims, mobs of Muslims take over by majority as in the town of Hamtramck Michigan. It is equivalent to a mopping up operation after the blitzkrieg of the fanatics. This follow up movement must be reinforced by periodic acts of violence and terror to reinforce the followers belief that the movement is inevitable.
Americans and many others have not wised up to this approach and have excused the followers as deserving of innocence. The taking over of pockets of formerly non-muslim areas proves otherwise.
If you couple this approach with a willingness to lie to promote Islam you have a potent objective that can only be stopped if it is recognized as the devious monstrosity it is. The intellectual defense of claiming islamaphobia when “innocent followers” are accused of compliance to this spread of Islam works well in a country willing to give the benefit of the doubt and turn the other cheek .
This war is a different war than those of the past. It is not a war of identified enemies with uniforms and national loyalty. It is a war of subversives willing to connive and infiltrate, perform suicidal carnage and simultaneously slither into the population of the unsuspecting in two different forms. One is the fanatic and one is the follower but both have the same objective and only perform differently to obtain this goal.
The term radicalized has real meaning when the follower becomes the fanatic. Passively infiltrating and avoiding assimilation is a more subdued method so those who want to speed up the process and inspire the followers to comply become who we call “ radicalized” which means they are now of the fanatic class and will do violence to intimidate and strike terror.
So what is to be done in such a war? First identify the strategy for what it is and realize how attitudes and mores are affecting our ability to counteract the movement. Calling the followers innocent is a major mistake. When the followers do not denounce the fanatics you can be sure they are being compliant. How many Muslims did you see condemn the killings in Paris?
This logically leads to the need to identify and root out those who are plotting against the people who are innocent. The source of propaganda is wherever the notion of a caliphate and Muslim dominance is taught. These centers whether in America or the Middle East or the Far East must be targeted as seeds of conquest and infiltrated and monitored and/or destroyed. Hiding behind the “sacredness” of a religious temple or sanctuary is only another tool the true Muslims hide behind just as they hide behind women and children in battle.
Once the enemy knows we are onto their game, the game is over. When they talk we know they lie. When they seek peace we know they seek dominance. When they claim innocence we know they only use a different method to overtake us. When they cry discrimination, we simply tell them we discriminate against all criminal behavior. We need to give no quarter to this enemy that is doing everything it can to overtake us. They think they are being clever but the identification of their methods and connivance puts us in the position of strength they fear. Once they know that we know what they are up to, trepidation will begin, doubt will spread and the cleverness they were sure was undecipherable will disappear. Know your enemy is the first requirement of victory.

FROM ICE: A repeat of a previous comment: I am still waiting for someone to correctly refute my six irrefutable premises on the Christian & Islamic faiths: Please do not allow these poor lost soul representing the Islamic faith to come into our schools, or any other public place, to spew lies about Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. If you do allow Islamic people into our schools or other public facilities, make certain first that the speaker(s) know that you will follow up their speech with my six irrefutable premises regarding the Catholic & Islamic faiths, so that all people are taught the Truth and Light of the One True God Who Lives before they leave the meeting..
SIX IRREFUTABLE PREMISES ON THE CHRISTIAN VS THE ISLAMIC FAITHS:
1. The first important premise to address is regarding the belief of the beloved people of the Islam faith – as well as by many people of other faiths – that professes that Allah is the same God as the God of the Jews and the Christians. To prove as succinctly as possible that this is not the Truth, I will ask you the following question, Reverend Ann, that you may seek the answers to this falsity in the heart of your own soul: If Allah is the same God as the One True God of the Christians and the Jews, why does Allah deny repeatedly throughout the Koran that Jesus is the Only Begotten Son of God, when God Himself prophesied 60 times and mentioned over 300 times in the Old Testament the future coming of a Messiah, a Suffering Servant, His Son, who would die on the cross for the salvation of all mankind? Would God prophesy the coming of His Son, a Messiah and Savior, only to deny Him through Mohammed, who professed to speak for Allah? Would this not make God a liar?
2. The second premise to address is the Islam belief that Jesus Christ was only a prophet – that He was not deity or the only Begotten Son of God. In 1 John, 2:18-23 we read: “Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that the antichrist was coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. Thus we know this is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not really of our number; if they had been, they would have remained with us. Their desertion shows that none of them was of our number. But you have the anointing that comes from the holy one, and you all have knowledge. I write to you not because you do not know the truth but because you do, and because every lie is alien to the truth. Who is the liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Whoever denies the Father and the Son, this is the antichrist. No one who denies the Son has the Father, but whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.”iIn 1 John 4, 1-3 we read: “Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh belongs to God, and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world.”ii Also, Jesus Christ professed many times in the Gospel that He was the Messiah, the only Son of God the Father. If the Islam faithful sincerely believes that Jesus was a Prophet, how can they at the same time not believe that He was God’s Son? – For a prophet is one who speaks the Truth for God, you see.
3. The third premise that I wish to address is the Islam belief that Mohammed was the final prophet of Allah, and that he was inspired through the angel Gabriel to change God’s previous words of the Holy Bible in order to bring mankind His final words. After Mohammed’s death, Mohammed’s words were later written in their book called the Koran. The Koran, as you know, professes to contain four God-inspired books: the Torah of Moses; the Zabur (Psalms of David); the Injil (Gospel) of Jesus; and the Koran. In changing, deleting and adding to the Inspired words of God’s Holy Bible, Mohammed and his followers committed a grievous sin against God! In Revelation 22:18, 19 we read: “I warn everyone who hears the prophetic words in this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book.”iiiMohammed and his cohorts did not merely add to or take away God’s words of His prophetic Book! They deleted the entire Book of Revelation, as well as most of the other Holy Books of the Bible! I sincerely believe that Jesus was stating that we must not add to, delete, or to desecrate any of the Holy words of the entire Old and New Testaments of the Bible, for He, being the Son of God, certainly knew that Revelation was the last Book of the Bible and was most likely speaking of the entire Bible as “The Book.” And please do not counter by rationalizing that the God changed His own laws and words via the alleged angel Gabriel and Mohammed! Jesus Christ, speaking for God, knew that the Islams, Mormons, and people of other false faiths would attempt to change, delete, or to deny God’s laws, words and Scripture in the future! This is why Jesus stated emphatically that He is the end of the law!
4. The fourth premise that I will address is regarding the alleged angel Gabriel who purportedly instilled Mohammed with Allah’s messages given to him over an approximate 22-year period with the words that later became the Koran. The alleged angel Gabriel repeatedly denied that Jesus was the Son of God! However, the true angel Gabriel, speaking to Mary the Mother of Jesus in Luke, 1:31-33 states the following: “‘Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.’”iv God, in His infinite wisdom, does not have to give two of His angels the same name – He surely has given each of them a personal, special name, as He will do for all those whom enter God’s kingdom. So, how then can one reputed angel Gabriel of the Koran deny repeatedly that Jesus is God’s Son, when the true angel Gabriel that appeared over 5 centuries earlier had called Jesus “Son of the Most High”?
5. The fifth premise is regarding the utilization by Mohammed and subsequently by the entire Islamic faithful of: the God of the Jews and the Christians; Abraham; the prophets; and a semblance of the One True God’s Holy Scripture in the Koran. Why did not the author of the Koran use his own text and credos, as the Hindus and the Buddhists have done? The reason that the author of the Koran utilized this ploy was so that a semblance of Truth, or a certain credence and correlation would be portrayed to the Muslim-Islams, in order that from that time onward they may more easily be duped and led away from the Truth and the Light when they read or heard the words of the Koran.
6. The sixth premise, Reverend Ann, is regarding your sincere belief that you can be an adherent of both the Christian and the Islam faiths. This, as you were made aware of in the above premises, is impossible, as the two religions are diametrically opposed to one another. For you must understand that the Christian faith stems from the words of Truth and Light of the One True God who Lives – the One Whom has proven to be the One True God; for He is the only God who is able to prophesy infallibly those many things to come throughout the history of mankind and even until the end of the age. The Islam faith, on the other hand, stems from the antichrist of which was revealed to you above from the words of God in 1 John. Also, in 1 Corinthians, 10:14-22 we read: “Therefore, my beloved, avoid idolatry. I am speaking as to a sensible people; judge for yourselves what I am saying. The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
Look at Israel according to the flesh; are not those who eat the sacrifices participants in the altar? So what am I saying? That meat sacrificed to idols is anything? Or that an idol is anything? No, I mean that what they sacrifice, [they sacrifice] to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to become participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and also the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons. Or are we provoking the Lord to jealous anger? Are we stronger than he?”v
