What backlash? Muslims attacked? Mosques burned? Laws passed barring Muslims from entering airports? No. Actually, there has been no backlash at all: “violence against Maine’s estimated 6,000 Muslims has not been a serious problem.” So where’s the backlash? Why, one Muslim says that “the anger and hostility displayed nationally during the political campaign season eventually reach him and others as a low-level hum of suspicion that permeates their everyday lives.” A low-level hum of suspicion! It’s an outrage! Call the “Islamophobia” police!
In reality, if Muslims in Maine want to silence this “low-level hum of suspicion,” let them cooperate actively with counter-terror measures and act honestly and firmly against the jihad ideology, instituting genuine programs in mosques to teach against the understanding of Islam presented by the Islamic State.
“Backlash from Brussels terrorism frustrates Muslims in Maine,” by Matt Byrne, Portland Press Herald, March 28, 2016:
When the images of the terrorist attack in Brussels began to flood across Ahmed Abdiraham’s television screen last week, his mind went in two directions.
First he thought: Please, don’t let it be in the name of Islam.
Then, like so many Muslims in Maine, he was reminded of his own past.
When there are “things like what happened in Belgium, it makes them remember, ‘That happened to me,’ ” said Abdiraham, director of the Maine Muslim Community Center in Portland, who fled Somalia’s violent civil war before resettling in Maine’s largest city. “It triggers that pain again” from witnessing horrific violence.
As the Islamic State militant group has continued to target European cities, the Muslim community in Maine has been forced to confront shifting attitudes about Islam and the politics of terrorism, in both the race for the presidency and the news media’s response to attacks around the world.
Republican presidential contenders Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have both made the U.S. response to terrorism key tenets of their candidacies.
Trump, in a statement in December that drew widespread condemnation, proposed temporarily shutting U.S. borders to Muslims. Last week he reiterated that stance after the Brussels attacks. Cruz suggested that police should step up surveillance of Muslim neighborhoods in the U.S. before they become radicalized. He cited a controversial surveillance program by the New York Police Department that collected intelligence on Muslim communities, but which critics say failed to provide any useful information about radicalization and turned public sentiment against police in those communities.
Abdiaziz Mohamed, a Maine Muslim center board member, says that “what (Islamic State militants) do is killing, and killing is haram,” the Arabic term for “forbidden.” For us, “(ISIS is) hijacking our name.”
Killing is haram?
“And kill them wherever you come upon them, and expel them from where they expelled you; persecution is more grievous than slaying. But fight them not by the Holy Mosque until they should fight you there; then, if they fight you, kill them — such is the recompense of unbelievers, but if they give over, surely Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate. Fight them, till there is no persecution and the religion is Allah’s; then if they give over, there shall be no enmity save for evildoers.” (Qur’an 2:191-193)
“They wish that you should disbelieve as they disbelieve, and then you would be equal; therefore take not to yourselves friends of them, until they emigrate in the way of Allah; then, if they turn their backs, take them, and kill them wherever you find them; take not to yourselves any one of them as friend or helper.” (Qur’an 4:89)
“This is the recompense of those who fight against Allah and His Messenger, and hasten about the earth, to do corruption there: they shall be killed, or crucified, or their hands and feet shall alternately be cut off; or they shall be banished from the land. That is a degradation for them in this world; and in the world to come awaits them a mighty chastisement.” (Qur’an 5:33)
“When your Lord was revealing to the angels, ‘I am with you; so confirm the believers. I shall cast into the unbelievers’ hearts terror; so strike above the necks, and strike every finger of them!” (Qur’an 8:12)
“Then, when the sacred months are over, kill the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them, and confine them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent, and perform the prayer, and pay the alms, then let them go their way; Allah is All-forgiving, All-compassionate.” (Qur’an 9:5)
“Allah has bought from the believers their selves and their possessions against the gift of Paradise; they fight in the way of Allah; they kill, and are killed.” (Qur’an 9:111)
“When you meet the unbelievers, strike their necks…” (Qur’an 47:4)
Although violence against Maine’s estimated 6,000 Muslims has not been a serious problem, Abdiraham said the anger and hostility displayed nationally during the political campaign season eventually reach him and others as a low-level hum of suspicion that permeates their everyday lives.
“It creates that fear,” he said. “Your neighbor might feel that anger. It makes everything for everyone that much harder.”…

They are muslims. Ergo, they’re lying. Kind of an islamic variation on the Cartesian, ‘I think, therefore I am’, dontcha know!
I figured out why they’re all such world-class liars. I mean: If you’ll get killed if you criticize/leave your ‘religion’, well, what’s a muslim to do? Oh wait: They could grow a pair and cast off their shackles, as WE did in our Revolution…
Wait a minute. They’re muslims. Never mind.
BC says
You were protesting taxes, it a financial issue, no shackles involved except of course on the slaves even your famous leaders owned

kilfincelt says
At that time slavery was quite common all over the world, especially within the Muslim world. Some Americans did want to end slavery at the time of the Revolution but not enough to end the practice. Ultimately, we fought a Civil War which brought slavery to an end.
Furthermore, millions upon millions of people of all races, including blacks, disappeared into slavery within the Muslim world from the 7th century onward. Blacks were often used as foot soldiers in Muslim armies. White slaves made up the cavalry. Yet, with the exception of the blacks of Basra, very few blacks can be found within the heart of the Arabic Islamic world. Many died on the march through the Sahara on the way to the North African slave markets and/or were turned into eunuchs. In fact, the Arabs are very racist and look down on blacks even today. Just ask the blacks of Basra. In addition, those hated colonizers, particularly the British, tried to end slavery in Muslim countries and elsewhere. Unfortunately, slavery is ingrained in Islam and its culture. See ISIS, the Sudan, and Boko Haram for current examples.
Jay Boo says
Wow BC is still upset about the US revolution against a dead English king. We should avoid mentioning that along with “growing a pair” which seems a bit lacking of late in the UK in dealing with Muzzie pimp gangs.
Very touchy.
It is true though, that former US leaders owned slaves and British ships helped with their transport early on along with British royalty aggressively pushing the opium trade at the point of a cannon yet the British police today don’t dare raise a peep as their own British children are savagely raped and they even aid and provide comfort for the rape gangs. I guess I would be touchy if I lived in such a place.
Geoffrey Cooper says
Are you saying Muslims never owned slaves? Enslaving kuffirs is the very essence of Islam, Arabs have been taking slaves from Africa since pre-history!

Yes and those poor little snowflakes are so fragile they can’t tolerate the hostility, but are unwilling to take the appropriate actions to change perceptions about themselves! Instead they’ll whine like the infants they are. Muslims always complaining as usual.
Marcel Bérubé says
…… and manipulating , too. Poor little musliars.
RCCA says
A lot of internal conflict within Muslims these days. Like the man said, scenes of terrorism trigger traumatic memories of similar experiences they have witnessed. But instead of rationally blaming the instigators and source of the trauma, they feel (unconsciously perhaps) that it is safer to project their fear onto non-Muslims. Confronting Muslims is inherently dangerous and they know that.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Too bad! If they’re unwilling to correct their own problems, they have no business coming here and trying to change our home to suit them!
RCCA says
I should add, confronting Islam is inherently dangerous, and they know that.

Wellington says
They’re either lying or their ignorant about their own religion. No third alternative exists. And either way they’re highly culpable, whether due to mendacity or egregious, willful ignorance.
Also, enough with the backlash crap. Backlash to a Muslim means that any criticism of Islam, no matter how mild and non-violent, represents something that simply should not occur. Muslims in Western nations have all kinds of freedoms, including freedom of religion, that Muslim nations have not at all. So, an additional indictment here can be one of hypocrisy. And yet here’s another: Muslims are effing babies, tending to prove once again that Islam is for adults who refuse to grow up. Cry me a river.
Kepha says
They’re either lying or they’re ignorant about their own religion…
Can’t help being a teacher.

Wellington says: “…Cry me a river.”
Wellington dear Chap,
Don’t ask for that, they’ll give an ocean. Strange thought or question occurs: How old is the dead sea? Did it come with Muslims complaining? You’re a scholar, tell me. 🙂
Sandra Lee Smith says
Apparently came along sometime after Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyrd, since some of their ruins were found in the sout end of it.
Wellington says
Seems there’s disagreement about this, DFD. Some geological indicators put it being formed as far back as 20 millions years ago during the Miocene Epoch of the Cenozoic Era, but other scientists think it may have been formed only some 50,000 years ago. Apparently the high salt content, for reasons I don’t have enough scientific knowledge to understand, confuses the dating of this body of water.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Could have something to do with the chemical assault that befell Sodom and Gomorrah; since the ruins of one have been found IN the south end of the Dead Sea, some years back (sulfur and brimstone).
DFD says
Thanks for your replies dear folks. I was kidding, based upon ‘river of tears’ and tears being salty, and the Muslims always crying over something.. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Nevertheless, thank you for answering, that is providing help and information.

Innocent people were murdered in cold blood and they’re worried about “backlash”? Oh the poor dears.
Mirren10 says
How very telling that this cretin’s first thought, wasn’t horror and compassion for the victims of his vicious co-religionist’s murder spree, but ”please don’t let it be in the name of islam.” islam must be protected, you see. And his second thought ? How is this going to affect me, me, me ? Very islamic.
Champ says
Indeed, Mirren10, and such self-centeredness seems almost surreal to those more civilized.
Mirren10 says
” … such self-centeredness seems almost surreal to those more civilized.”
Yes. I find it surreal/appalling, but, what I’ve just also thought of, as well; what unbelievably thick skinned unawareness of how his ‘priorities’ would strike normal people. It’s like their cult of victimhood blinds them to normal emotions. Or perhaps those normal emotions just aren’t there.
Hope you’re well, Champ.
Sandra Lee Smith says
I think that relates more to the fact that their culture of abuseof children creates a population, almost universally, of adult-children, arrested early on, so they never mature sufficiently to develop the charateristic of adults, such as compassion, and empathy.

So true!
Wellington says
True, MIrren, what you say, and in origin due, I would argue, to the narcissistic element found in Islam from its warped founder onwards to this very day.
Have Islam? Well then, narcissism is lurking just around some metaphorical corner here or there. Wherever you have Muslims you have a self-absorption factor. Helps to explain in part why Islam never developed a true Golden Rule for all.
Hope you are doing well. Take care, my British friend.
Mirren10 says
” … the narcissistic element found in Islam from its warped founder onwards to this very day.”
Very true, Wellington.
You’ve often said that Christianity underlines the dignity, and *worth* of the individual. But islam is the cult of selfish narcissism, par excellence.
I’m doing fine, my American friend, or as well as can be expected in these depressing and *enraging* times. You take care too.
Jerry says
That’s right. And as I read that line I pounded my chest in sorrow with him and exclaimed, “Please, please, please don’t let it be in the name of the religion we all know is the source of this hate! Please don’t let it be another case of murder for allah, even though he teaches it! Please don’t let it be for the jihad that their faith honors with the highest praise! It’s so unfair and is bound to lead to a hum of suspicion that hurts their feelings!”
No, if there’s a hum of suspicion then it comes from their own texts that teach violence against unbelievers. And there’s another hum, listen…hear that? It’s the bloody cries from those souls murdered for the god that supposedly inspired those texts. Somehow, amazing, I don’t feel the least bit guilty about our hum of suspicion. In fact, I’m rather comforted by it.
Mirren10 says
”And there’s another hum, listen…hear that? It’s the bloody cries from those souls murdered for the god that supposedly inspired those texts.”
Well said, Jerry.
boakai ngombu says
” … a low level hum of suspicion.”
if the slaves of the allah god of islam (unknowable; the best of all deceivers) hear the HUM, there must be guilt of the corporate kind which they bear … guilt for ALL OF THEM failing to meet the expectations of the allah god of islam which gives no peace to the guilty conscience but demands more blood, since it cannot grant peace of heart and mind.
a terrible bind the slaves are in, for they so much need to satisfy the bloodthirst of the allah god of islam.
they can only seek more pain, destruction, ruin, killing, blood.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Excellent insight. It very likely is their own collective guilt they’re feeling, rather than any actual “backlash”, although I do believe there is heitening suspicion among Americans regarding the presence of so many potential threats, as well. We living with an awfully large number of ticking time bombs in our midst.
boakai ngombu says
let the low-level HUM continue
as the slaves of the allah god of islam are prone to lie, so come suspicions about intent and activity
thus they fear when the low–level HUM of suspicion permeates their every day and maybe their every night
uncomfortable, that; let it be
Sandra Lee Smith says
Maybe if we make it uncomfortable enough for them, they’ll go home and leave us alone!

mortimer says
65% of Muslims worldwide demand Sharia law and a caliphate. That is exactly what we see in ISIS.
65% of Muslims worldwide approve of ISIS to some degree. Much of ISIS is very appealing to a large majority of Muslims.
Why would there not be suspicion of anyone who approves of this murder cult? Which Muslim will ‘go off’ next?
The gas meter inspector? The water plant worker? The teacher? The engineer? The doctor? The day-care worker?
Muslims must all be suspected from now on forever. Muslims by doing nothing to stop jihad and by silently supporting it, have place all Western people on the FRONT LINE of jihad.
Wellington says
Yes, mortimer, that 65% figure is highly damning. Were it “only” half this it would still translate into some four or five hundred million human beings who want any Muslim who converts to another religion killed; any critic of Islam, the Koran or Mohammed to be severely punished or killed; the replacement of all man-made constitutions, including the American Constitution, discarded for Sharia as the law of the land; the requirement that a woman who alleges rape must produce at least four male witnesses to this foul deed; the requirement that a woman’s testimony counts for only half that of a man’s; that non-Muslims are the equivalent of human waste———and on and on and on and on and on with complete and despicable nonsense along these lines.
Shame on Islam. Shame on all those who think that a good Islam lurks out there since it doesn’t. Shame most certainly on those who think Sharia is enlightened since it is barbarism masquerading as a proper and decent legal code. And shame on all those dhimmis out there who keep making excuses for the oldest totalitarian ideology in man’s history.
If one wanted confirmation of Mark Twain’s conclusion that mankind is pathetic and human life is full of emptiness and nonsense, no better example of Twain’s sage assessment could be found than the continued promotion (in effect, exculpation) of Islam by both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
The religion of Islam stands as sterling testimony to the folly of man. Yes, man can be noble at times but, sadly, this is the exception and not the rule. Islam, sadly, represents the rule. Well over one billion Muslims still around confirms this.
Shmooviyet says
‘(In effect, exculpation)…” Excellent point.
I heard it again two days ago from a ‘conservative’ radio host answering an angry caller named Rashid: “Well of course we know there is good and bad in every religion!” The detected nervousness in the host’s voice, and the remark itself, weren’t scraping enough for the offended caller.
Can’t someone, for once, be a bit specific about the good in islam? Examples, please.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Inbreeding is killing them?

well, there is the “good cop” (eg: muslim brotherhood),who just want you to surrender/ capitulate to islam peacefully, as opposed to ” bad cop”(jihadist)who just can’t wait that long. that pretty much sums up the good islam vs bad islam. just that the “bad cop” is rewarded a better afterlife by allah for the greater sacrifice.
DFD says
mortimer says: “…The gas meter inspector? The water plant worker? The teacher? The engineer? The doctor? The day-care worker?…”
I think all of them, very soon.
So lets get ready and let us backlash as usual, in other words: Lets get the candles ready for light-chain, to express our sorrow. Followed by a massive hugging session. Our battle cry shall be: “This will not affect our values, we will uphold our values by simply continuing!” Followed by another hugging session or by singing ‘Umbayadah…”
Agreed?
Shmooviyet says
As well as the TSA workers and elder-care attendants.
Don’t forget Mark Steyn’s suggestion about bringing back the “Imagine”-playing pianist, to provide a soundtrack for the candles, teddy bears and hugging.

Agreed. And please let’s not forget to heap up piles of flowers and teddy bears, while wearing our “I am XXX” tee shirts. Sniffle.
Jay Boo says
An obvious question
Although 65% of Muslims worldwide demand Sharia law and a caliphate — Ordinary Muslims should not be harassed.
However —
When is a backlash justified as self-defense?
The Muslim leadership hopes for a (‘backlash’)
But they want a backlash that is within their control and to their advantage, like spray paint near a mosque or an attack on an innocent Muslim.
They have threatened Pamela Gellar with violence.
Should the core Muslim leadership and their toxic infrastructure be off limits to swift and decisive self-defensive acts against their aggression as deterrence.
خَليفة says
“Back lash against Muslims” is code word for ‘fear of exposure” = fear that the kuffar will further educate themselves about islam
When the back-lash does occur, it will be too late for Muslims to do anything about it, and the kuffar will be like angry hornets ready to sting any Muslim left standing
Sandra Lee Smith says
That may well be. Western people do seem to be beginning to realize there can be no “coexistng” with Islam.

I know, Muslims just don’t listen to reason. Them seem incapable of adapting to modern times. They continue to show adolescent mental traits. They are totally incorrigible. It’s like they’ve been brainwashed by Satan himself.
rightstuff1944 says
Fourteen centuries of brainwashing, reinforced by unbelievable fear. This is also abetted by a high degree of inbreeding, including that between first cousins. A Danish Psychologist named Sennels has done a great deal of scholarly work on this phenomenon.
Sandra Lee Smith says
One other factor you didn’t list, and I’m not sure Sennels got to it either; the rampant sexual abuse of children, which arrests emotional development at the age of the first assault. What we’re dealing with is, in fact, a mass of vengeful children in adult bodies and with access to adult “toys”! They will never mature until and unless they deal with the trauma of those abuses, and since they consider that their “normal” that’s unlikely to happen either! Yet so long as they refuse to deal, and to mature, they remain exactly like a cancer tumor in our physical bodies; USELESS and good only for killing the host organism!
Sandra Lee Smith says
But they HAVE been! Who did you think their “Allah” IS??? Read the character description of Allah in the Quran; and then read the character description of Yhwh in the Bible; and the character description of Lucifer, aka Satan, therein also; see which matches….

Backlash in Maine, for something that happened in Brussels? That doesn’t even make sense. Wouldn’t the backlash – if there were one – be against Muslims in Brussels?
Either way, where is the evidence of all this backlash? In EITHER place?

Come, come, Mo !
If one merely gives a mohammedan a cold and unfriendly look, that’s ‘backlash’ ! And this poor man, (with the ears of a bat), hears * a hum of suspicion* !!
How can you be so hurtful and islamophobic ?
خَليفة says
In the Muslim mind it makes sense for non-Muslims in Maine to harm muslims in Maine that had nothing to do with the Muslims in Brussels who harmed non-Muslims in Brussels.
And it goes the other way too, in the Muslim mind it makes perfect sense to harm ANY KAFIR, ANY WHERE for ANY WRONG against ANY Muslim done by ANY KAFIR at ANY TIME IN HISTORY. ( for all practical purposes it’s always open season on kafirs I.e. the kuffar )
Muslim reasoning is seriously flawed, primitive and uncivilized.
All Muslims suffer from kafirphobia to some degree or another.

Mo says: “…. Wouldn’t the backlash – if there were one – be against Muslims in Brussels?…”
Impossible, just mentioning that, and the Belgian police will arrest you immediately.

Wouldn’t you think the Muslim community in Maine has been forced to confront their own “shifting attitudes about Islam” within themselves and “the politics of terrorism” within their own communities? It must create enormous cognitive dissonance when fellow Muslims in other parts of the world are actually doing what the Quran commands rather than enjoying the the good life like the Muslims in Maine. They would be torn in two directions, depending on their predilections: Either feeling unworthy as a Muslim lacking sufficient piety, or the other way, actually questioning their religion that is inflicting such violence upon this world. It must all be rather disturbing, whichever way they lean. They are between a rock and a hard place, and “islamophobic” comments by aspiring political leaders only increases the dissonance, robbing them of any hope of internal peace. All this external stimuli impinging upon their consciousness, tearing them apart inside. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, because Islam confronts them at every turn. You could almost feel sorry for them…

It’s a rerun. Terror attack and all the moslims not directly involved (perhaps wishing they were) start spewing their drivel about how scared they are, how people look at them, they are looked at suspiciously, they worry that they might, perhaps, maybe, just possibly, might be looked at with suspicion by people in their community who are not moslims and wonder just how these moslims feel about the terror attack that killed innocent people all for the advancement of their evil cult from satan.
People might wonder and this is so very frightening, so awful, so horrific, that each one must run to his local imam and express his worry that he or she is being looked at because moslims killed innocent people and that imam must call the local press…tv, paper, blog writer…to complain that they are living in fear of a backlash not happening…er, happening to them as it is not, er..is happening to every other moslim everywhere and they are just oh, so scared and remembering the horror of when they lived where they might be killed for just going about their day.
And if they are being *looked at*…the community people are most likely wondering just when the whining about a backlash will be in full swing, or hoping the whining will soon end.
islam is a beast from satan and like its maker, it is evil, with evil designs on innocent humans.

“Although violence against Maine’s estimated 6,000 Muslims has not been a serious problem,…”
Serious problem? How about not any problem at all. If a muslim was even accidentally nudged in a crowded bus, CAIR would be all over it like a dirty shirt, screaming from the rooftops about “the backlash”. We must even know when muslims feel low-level hums of suspicion.
“Nearly all of the people interviewed said their faith was not that of ISIS …”
That means some of the people interviewed were ISIS sympathizers. Gee, I wonder why there’s a low-level hum of suspicion towards muslims.

Regarding the “Christian” who terrorized a Planned Parent Clinic in Colorado: ““They never called him a Christian terrorist,” Abdirahman said. “Why do we give (Muslims) this title?””
Perhaps because the ratio of Christian terrorists/Muslim terrorists is very close to 0?
Perhaps because even the few examples of Christian terrorists are not incited by Christian texts as the basis of their actions?
Said the ex-wife of the Colorado shooter: “He claims to be a Christian and is extremely evangelistic, but does not follow the Bible in his actions. He says that as long as he believes he will be saved, he can do whatever he pleases.” (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_Springs_Planned_Parenthood_shooting)
I read over this article a couple times to be sure; perhaps it’s an omission on the part of the writer, but there was not one single statement of sympathy for the victims in Brussels, but plenty of self-pity.
Which is worse? A low level hum, or lying dead in an airport? Count your blessings, Maine Muslims; you are safe, and no one is trying to hurt you. 35 people in Brussels are dead, and that makes them the victims.
DFD says
To Karen: “…not one single statement of sympathy for the victims in Brussels, but plenty of self-pity…”

Moslems in London have said that the streets of London are more dangerous than those of Somalia. Islam is the problem. It is following the script that has worked for 1,400 years. Began in the Arabian Peninsula, now a worldwide plague. The Western media mistakenly refer to battles being fought against Islamists as “civil war”. These are not civil wars. They are countries at war with Islam’s slow but sure conquest. See Myanmar for examples.

These morons will whinge and whine about how they are suffering some type of backlash or discrimination by people who have just had enough of their BS.Their nauseating playing of the victim card every time a terrorist act happens is starting to wear a bit thin!
Marcel Bérubé says
Hey , Westerners, get used to frustrated muslims, please. Isn’it part of their religion, part of their manipulation , part of their strategy to obtain gains ?. If you would be a muslim , wouldn’t you be frustrated too?Where does this religion bring peace , love or happiness? Where is the fun of being muslim except for the imam, the prophet or the calif?

Backlash?
What about the under reported wave of misery generated by every mass attack?
These events are reported in the Media with a cold dispassion, focused on the number of dead, then moving on.
But there are very many more: the extended family member of every innocent victim, the Medics and Police who must deal with the raw evidence, the injured and maimed, the survivors who were just a few feet away and witnessed it all. They are all now scarred for life.
Backlash? Shut the F up and go clean house, for real.
Because if you don’t, we will. Not taking this shit anymore.

YES.
A thousand times yes. Here is an excellent article by an israeli that talks about just that, focusing on what it is like for those who survive these kinds of attacks – specifically, explosions such as were detonated in Lahore, right next to – mostly Christian – kids and parents at a playground, and at Brussels, and a year or two ago in the courtyard of a Christian church in Peshawar, and at the Boston marathon [many surviving victims became amputees] and in Israel more times than anyone remembers.

Op-Ed: Israel and Brussels: The “merely wounded” in terror bombings
A7 special expose: The horrors experienced by those wounded in terrorist attacks are hardly known to the public, nor the cruel ways they are planned to inflict pain; they often mean a lifetime of physical and psychological rehabilitation.’
‘…by looking back systematically at Israeli terror-victims, we can learn more about what actually happened to the recent terror-victims in Brussels, and also what could still be experienced elsewhere in the intersecting European and American futures.
‘Sometimes, the painfully human impact of terrorist bombings can be made at least partially evident on radiographic images.
‘For too long, X-rays of terror bombing victims in Israel have shown hundreds of metallic fragments, ranging in size from millimeters to whole nails, embedded in the victims’ bodies – literally, from head to foot.
‘Here, materials that had been created originally by civilized human beings for suitably constructive purposes, have been transformed by Islamic terrorists into the cruelest of projectiles.
‘In Brussels, as in Israel, nails, screws, nuts, and ball-bearings were included in the attackers’ plan to maximize lethal effects, and also to inflict gratuitous suffering.
‘These objects, sometimes after being dipped in rat poison, or other available toxins, are deliberately propelled into skin, flesh, and bone with the equivalent ballistic force of bullets.
‘There is more. Usually, the nails fly head first, presenting themselves to the attending radiologist in a strangely surreal yet also orderly arrangement within the victims’ bodies. Many are embedded “only” to the depth of their entrance sites.
‘Others burrow their way in more deeply, and lodge palpably under the skin, where the examining physician can actually touch and feel their alien presence.
‘Others must be removed after hours of meticulous surgical exploration.
‘Still others enter the body far more deeply, perforating and lacerating vital organs at random.
‘In Israel, CT scans of these victims’ heads have generally indicated blood, air, metal, and bone fragments displacing normal brain tissue.
‘Belgian physicians can plausibly expect the same pattern of injuries from the Brussels attacks.
‘The “lucky” patient who has somehow survived the initial explosive “insult” will often require subsequent surgeries to repair badly-damaged organs.
‘Others, as we have already seen in Brussels (following more “typical” attacks in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem), may sustain fractures, burns, amputations, vascular injuries, paralysis, blindness, or brain damage.
‘Nowadays, a collapsed lung or perforated colon – an insult that would ordinarily be considered a fully major injury – is taken by the physician as a blessing.
‘After all, the victim here, whether in Brussels, Tel-Aviv, or Jerusalem, is merely wounded.
‘Although some terror-bombing victims may recover physically, and return to a more or less “normal” life, many more will require an entire lifetime of ongoing rehabilitation.
‘Some, of course, will be impaired permanently. All will suffer serious psychological effects that will need complex and expensive treatment.
‘Significantly, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety will affect not only the actual victims of any such attack, but also large swaths of nearby populations.’
and THAT is what mohammed the accursed fully intended and had in mind when he declared boastfully ‘i have been made victorious by terror’.
The aim of this kind of thing is to destroy the soul, to break the spirit, of individuals and of whole communities and societies, so that the sadistic megalomaniacal narcissists of the ummah can stamp their spiked boots down hard on human faces for ever and ever, for fun and profit.
DELENDA EST ISLAMIA.
gravenimage says
All true, Dave and DDA. There are always many more victims–family members, loved ones, first responders, friends and neighbors and all the rest who have been terrorized.
Sandra Lee Smith says
That is true; even the first responders are often “victims” in that the trauma of dealing with such horrific injuries and deaths does impact them as well. I did EMS for a number of years and ran onto some situations where that was true, even here without bombs going off; those would be even worse!
gravenimage says
Working as an EMT must have been very stressful–thanks for your service, Sandra.
And all the more so with Jihad terror, of course. There is not just the general stress of dealing with death and destruction, but Jihadists often follow a bombing with a second bombing specifically intended to target police, fire, EMTs, and any civilian rescuers who try to help.
God, I hate Islam.
Sandra Lee Smith says
That was back in my younger, crazier, and much faster days, before the jihad came to America, although it was starting over in Europe, Africa, and Asia already. Mostly it was challenging, more than seriously stressful, but on occasion things got a little grizzly and hairy.
Mike says
I’m sure that if they put up big signs outside their mosques advocating the death penalty for terrorists, turned in anyone suspicious, ridiculed the Europeans for being suicidal, and so on, the “backlash” would sound more like: “What’s wrong with these crazy Europeans, these guys aren’t like that here!”
Cecilia Ellis says
” . . . a low-level hum of suspicion that permeates their everyday lives.”
Due to the high-decibel cacophony of “Allahu Akbars,” explosions, blast waves, screams of the dying and injured, sirens of first responder vehicles, multiple gunshots, wails of mothers holding dead children . . . all brought to forefront uniquely in Islamic-originated atrocities committed daily around the world.
Yet, attention seems to focus on concern for the feelings of those who show no concern for the victims of such viciousness. The standard operating procedure of whining about backlash, which has yet to be substantiated by any revengeful acts of violence or discrimination, is a well-ingrained technique of diversion employed by the Muslim Brotherhood in Western countries.
It is apparent that Muslims have no laudable ethics. In fact, as once stated by Elvis Presley, “Values are like fingerprints. Nobody’s are the same, but you leave ‘em all over everything you do.” He was right.

This Muslim is attacking a Foreign Legion fort, and when it does not fall quickly enough to him and his Jihadi buddies, he starts carrying a “This Fort Unfair to Arabs” sign. The cartoon also features a suicide bomber!

How many Muslim men have to wear those traditional (Islamic man-dress) and organ-grinder monkey hats at a prayer session for Allah to take notice and count their prayers?

So many questions need to be answered by abbas
Charles Martel says
I’m from Maine and am fed up with Leftist apologists who keep defending Muslims and the supremacist, totalitarian political ideology of Islam.
Do your readers know that three Somali Muslim men brutally beat to death Freddy Akoa, a Christian, last August? They’re in jail but no one can get any information on who was responsible for re-settling them for money. Catholic Charities is the likely culprit and they should be held accountable and sued.
There are several cases where halal shopkeepers in Lewiston were exposed by the FBI for laundering food stamps and welfare money to terrorists overseas.
In Portland, there is a Muslim man who is on the school board and will be running for the city council. He has admitted he is a Sharia-adherent Muslim.
Another female Muslim gave a presentation and made the statement that most people thought she looked too young to have 6 children. I have one and could barely afford to raise him and put him through school.
Why is it I see so many Muslim women working at Maine Medical Center or at L.L. Bean, for examples, when those jobs could be taken by native Mainers?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen Muslim women driving SUVs while homeless vets are on the street corners panhandling.
The Lewiston police is soliciting Muslims on their police force. I just hope they’re not attending one of the mosques we hired Dave Gaubatz to investigate in June of 2014. He found them in the “High” category for sedition and dangerous activity.
Last September, there was a photo in the Portland Press Herald of 3,000 Muslims gathered in a football stadium celebrating Eid al-Adha. Why in a sport stadium that is as apple pie as football? To me they were making a statement about the Hijra.
Last October, I took a photo of a van that had a decal in the back window of Mohammed’s favorite sword, the Zulfiqar. The slogan translated from Arabic was used to re-establish the Caliphate and threaten vengeance.
There is more but I think you get the picture.

Why are there Muslims in Maine? I’ve been to Maine (east coast and Acadia Nat’l Park) and it’s absolutely incredibly beautiful. Pristine.
They don’t deserve to be there. It’s infuriating.
Sandra Lee Smithnn says
The question is: WHY are there ANY Muslims in America? A law passed in June of ’52 prohibits immigration of anyone who comes from an ideology bent on the overthrow of the US government and Constitution; Islam is!
rightstuff1944 says
Our elected officials don’t know what laws were passed in the past, nor do they care. They live only in the present, wondering how they can enhance their personal legacy.
We need a session or two of Congress where the elected officials have to review all the laws currently on the books, and either rescind those not needed, or reaffirm those good laws passed in prior sessions.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Couldn’t hurt, but I’m not sure it’d help!

HR569 expresses its condolences to all (any?) victims of anti-Muslim sentiment and condemns all such sentiment.
It does not offer any condolences to the actual victims of the many actual deadly attacks on non-Muslims all over the world.

Anything to foment trouble is what drives muslims worldwide. They are a religion of hatred and cannot change they should b forced to live among other muslims in their self-created hellholes. With Obama and Hillary their employees at every level of government are Marxist disciples who use muslims and illegals to divide us and steal elections. Do not be misled. Hi, just wondering with CAIR: is there irrefutable evidence that they are linked (or had been linked) with the MB? Just read comments elsewhere on another site and it was said that the accusations are baseless. Hard evidence please. Thanks.
Sandra Lee Smith says
Have you read the book The Muslim Mafia? If not, I heartily recommend it! Chris Gaubatz, the son of one of the 2 authors infiltrated CAIR’s DC headquarters and brought out masses of documentation thereof, which is documented in the book; indeed half the text is documentation of their and other American based Muslim organizations direct links to Hamas, Hezbollah, the MB, and the rest!

Thanks will see if I can get a copy.
