He’s right, of course, since British authorities are so avid to appease Islamic supremacists. And it’s only going to get more Islamic. But that is not what he means. What he means is that London is more Islamic than the Islamic world because London is tolerant and multicultural, and Islam is all about “love and justice.”
His Catholic audience no doubt bought it, too, because it’s so very much what they want to hear. He is unlikely to have mentioned that Islam’s tolerance and multicultural harmony are predicated upon the submission and subjugation of the unbelievers, who are not equal with Muslims but must “pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (Qur’an 9:29).
“London ‘more Islamic’ than Muslim world – scholar,” by John Bingham, Telegraph, March 9, 2016:
London is a more “Islamic” city than much of the Muslim world put together, a leading Muslim scholar has argued.
Maulana Syed Ali Raza Rizvi, a prominent Shia cleric, who was born in Pakistan and studied in Iran, said he “feels more Islamic” in Britain than other countries because of the freedom to worship and the multicultural mix.
He said Islam could be summed up as being about “love and justice” but that the “Muslim political leadership” around the world was failing to foster this.
He was speaking alongside the Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the leader of the Catholic Church in England and Wales, and the Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis at the annual Benedict XVI Lecture, an interfaith discussion event in London.
The three leaders discussed how members of their own faiths had, in different ways, lived as “creative minorities”.
Maulana Rizvi said that unlike their “Jewish and Christian brothers”, Muslims in Britain were a new community, established for decades rather than centuries, and had a “lot to learn” from other religious groups.
But he added: “I feel that London has more Islamic values than many of the Muslim countries put together.
“There are many different communities living together in peace and harmony, giving respect to the others and loving others and that is what Islam is all about – and unfortunately [much] of the Muslim political leadership has failed to provide that.
“I feel more Islamic living here because I can easily practise my faith and give respect to all other members of the community belonging to different faiths and not even belonging to a faith, to anything.
“Because that is what Islam is all about, respecting and giving to others … if in one line I could say what Islam is all about, it is all about love and justice.”

This muslim cleric spoke together with a Catholic Bishop and a Chief Rabbi…
I wonder how much this was orchestrated by UK’s higher politicians to further their agendas?
Recently, Kerry met with Hollywood film producers… can’t wait to see the future plot lines of blockbuster non-Islamofauxbic movies!

Seems like muslim leaders worldwide and throughout history never managed to grasp the basic of islam – what are the odds?
Except that the muslim leaders he decried live in, and are picked by, muslim-majority countries. Could it be that rather than being individuals that just happened to reach a position of leadership and just happen to “misunderstand” islam they are, in fact, representative of mainstream islam? Case in point: Iran’s cracking on religious minorities. Perhaps Mr. Rivzi should be reminding his shia brethren in Iran of their “true way” rather than spending his time ensuring non-muslims that the oppression being committed in the name of islam is ok because it’s not really islamic…
What do they need to learn from Jews and Christians? How to live in a civilized world that abhors child marriage, slavery or chopping of limbs? If so, what’s the point of his religion, if they need to learn basic civilized behaviour from non-muslims?

Muslims are raised and educated to regard good manners as Islamic. That what I believed for decades. It was customary for us to praise a well behaved non muslim as he was “more muslim than us”. It is to do with the powerful islamic indoctrination since childhood.
The great Muslim reformer Mohammed Abdu of Egypt (1849-1905) famously described France by saying: “In France I saw Islam without Muslims, in Egypt, I see Muslims without Islam”. He meant that Islam equals good manners.

Does not feel comforting. Rather worrying. Imagine Christians in an islamic state saying the same thing: – ” Christ is all about love and justice. ” Or a rabbi: – ” The Torah is all about love and justice”. In Pakistan, in Iran or in Palestinefor example.
I guess that would start riots and plundering.
There is too much tolerance with the intolerant. One thing being in minority claiming you respect “love and justice”, another being the majority. As islam has the potential for to become in Europe and certainly is planning to become one day.
One cannot express solidarity with those not

No sane person, if given the choice, would live in a Muslim majority country when they could live in Western democracy. It’s self evident that ignorance, superstition, corruption, poverty, censorship, religious intolerance, tyranny, violence, and suffocating laws follow Islam wherever it has taken over and ruined the lives of the people who were previously getting along just fine Just ask the Sunni Muslims in Mosul Iraq who welcomed ISIS as saviors a few years ago. Now they are monitored for any deviation from the joy killing dogma that enshrouds their daily lives. Just yesterday a teenager was publicly beheaded for skipping one of the 5 mandatory daily prayers
If Europe ever becomes a Muslim majority continent then Muslims will be trying to leave it just like they are trying to leave their own home countries now.

Muslim cleric: London “more Islamic” than Muslim world
…………………….
Appalling. London is–or *was*–one of the greatest cities in the world. Now Mohammedans are beheading British soldiers and elderly grandmothers in the streets.
But of course Maulana Syed Ali Raza Rizvi mean this as Taqiyya–and no doubt his foolish Infidel audience bought it.

Frankly it seems like this man utters complete nonsense or complete lies.
But when one thinks about it; no, he CAN validly say this, from our standpoint. Not because his view is shared by so many Muslims, when they are not lying or ignorant, but because it would require a high standard of clarity and consistency for a whole corpus, of a religions’ most important guiding texts, purported to be divine in origine, to allow for a single, clear interpretation.
But this man can cherry pick, and come up with a more or less valid interpretation of Islam, Quran-Hadiths-Sira, in divers variations. Yes, he USES Islam. But Islam itself is so USABLE for so many people. He does not really lie! He genuinely USES Islam.
Because Islam simply is very imperfect, very multi-interpretable. Something NO Muslims may ever admit. But outsiders like us should see this. It takes a genius or a God to install a religion that is clear, so that 99 % of it’s followers can’t misunderstand. Islam is nowhere near such clarity. Yes, separate verses can be as clear as day, but in the big picture many of the clear verses clearly contradict each other! Or make no real sense.
And about the “misunderstandings” and the misrepresentations and different interpretations”, they are everywhere every day! As soon as people start to think and argue about Islam they arise. Robert Spencer already has joked about it more than a thousand times.
My hope is that the Westerners somehow take advantage of the poor clarity-quality of Islam!

Maulana Rizvi knows he is inventing his own version of Islam. Islam does not have a Golden Rule so it has no place for pluralism or democracy, because only one political party can have the ‘CORRECT’ program…all ‘others’ are either heretics or they are dirty kafirs.
Maulana Rizvi is deceiving himself…but more likely he has a hidden agenda.
The only reason Maulana Rizvi can practice Islam in HIS OWN WAY is because he is not in an Islamic country…but then there are many parts of Islam he can’t practice: polygamy, enslavement, extortion of kafirs, armed jihad, revenge killings, honor killings, vigilantism, enforced Sharia, etc., etc.

Soon to happen in Australia.
TMT. Turncoat Malcolm Turnbull (the head honcho of Australia) is also the Grand Mufti of Australia. I saw him on the tele, at the Islamic Council of Australia, speaking in glowing terms of the Muslim community in Australia. How they have enriched Australia with their culture and that they are now part of Australian culture. Speak for yourself, Turncoat Turnbull; you do not speak for me. Australia has been Asianised, Africanised, Moslemnised and terrorised. Now the Grand Mufti Turnbull is hell bent on the Islamification of Australia. Mosques, Halal food, walking black tents and the wearing of nightshirts in public. Muslims in the defence force, what a joke. A Trojan Horse within the gate. Our former enemies, Japan and Germany are going to build the new submarines, another bloody joke. Add to that insanity the proposed same sex marriage (un-natural marriage) legislation.
“Whom the Gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.”
Advance Australia Fair; another bloody joke.

One can hardly accuse the cleric of exaggeration or wishful thinking. Recently we read on JW that study of Islam had been made compulsory in England while Christianity was optional. What kind of f…ckd up thinking is behind such decisions is incomprehensible. Insanity is a sure sign of the great big fall that lies ahead. Unless England’s leaders change their ways, the country and it’s people are screwed. Weak leadership is setting up the country for an almighty crash.

I think this comment is analogous to the claims by Muslims and their apologists about the “Islamic Golden Age.” When Islam first takes over an area, and there is still a good deal of the political, legal and social infrastructure remaining in place from the previous, superior civilization–then yeah, Islam can roll on pretty well for a short while as a parasitic entity. But as Islam fully takes root and more completely permeates society, the society will become the intellectual, spiritual, moral, artistic, and economic failure that most of the Muslim world is today.
jayell says
…he added: “I feel that London has more Islamic values than many of the Muslim countries put together….” But the culture of London has been demonstrably Christian-based for most of the last 20 centuries, so its values are inspired by Christianity, nothing to do with islam, and islam has only been a very minor incidental factor, if it has featured at all, during the last 40-50 or so years during which time there has been no major shift of values in London except perhaps AWAY from what we understand as generally ‘religious’ (which would include ‘islamic’) values. Yet its values, according to this fount of wisldon, are ‘more islamic’ than ‘islamic’ countries of up to 14 centuries standing? Is this supposed to make sense?
….“There are many different communities living together in peace and harmony, giving respect to the others and loving others and that is what Islam is all about – and unfortunately [much] of the Muslim political leadership has failed to provide that…..” There are many communities in London that are just about tolerating each other -although I don’t know for how much longer – and although the indigenous English seem to have been railroaded into ‘respecting’ their uninvited muslim guests, the muslims seem to have had a great deal of trouble in even attempting to return the compliment, assuming they have the intellectual ability to understand what it actually means. In fact, to go by the evidence, they have failed miserably, and their track record in the capital (including crime and general public behaviour and attitudes) has been nothing short of abysmal, sometimes spectacularly abysmal (e.g., the murder of Lee Rigby). We in the capital are all acutely aware of this, apart, apparently, from this idiot Maulana Syed Ali Raza Rizvi. And I’m just plain mystified by his assertion that islam is all about ‘giving love and respect to others’, unless he conveniently forgot to add that this is usually ‘other muslims’; because, as he should know, his famous Qu’ran says the exact opposite as far as anyone else is concerned. So why is he questioning why islamic political leaders aren’t following all this sweetness and light, when he should already know the answer – that they are actually following the rules that he’s trying to kid us don’t exist? Is he ignorant? Is he deluded? Or is he just lying, trying it on, dispensing the bullsh*t and expecting no-one to notice? That would certainly accord with his Muslim credentials!
“I feel more Islamic living here because I can easily practise my faith and give respect to all other members of the community belonging to different faiths and not even belonging to a faith, to anything….” That’s what the ‘Great Prophet’ taught, did he? Not according to his rule-book, he didn’t! And, where they follow his famous rule-book they most certainly DON’T “respect to all other members of the community belonging to different faiths and not even belonging to a faith, to anything….”
“Because that is what Islam is all about, respecting and giving to others … if in one line I could say what Islam is all about, it is all about love and justice.” Er, no. ‘Islam’ means ‘Submission’, usually achieved by force, and all the ‘respecting’ and giving’, such as it is, is dependent on whether or not one is deemed by muslims to be worthy of any respect, or justice, or benevolence. It’s in their book. And gruesomely evident in their disgusting historical track record.
Quite simply, Maulana Syed Ali Raza Rizvi appears to be behaving like a typical islamic fraud.
