One that he and his minions have aided and abetted. “If Europe wants to rejuvenate, it is necessary for it to find anew its cultural roots” — yet Catholic bishops in Europe wouldn’t dream of standing for Christianity, or trying to preach it among the Muslim migrants. That might harm the “dialogue.”
In any case, the problem is not Arabs coming into Europe. The problem is Muslims coming into Europe believing that Sharia is superior to Constitutional government and determined to impose it in their new countries.
“Pope: ‘Yes, we can speak today of an Arab invasion [of Europe],'” Rorate Caeli, March 2, 2016 (thanks to David):
In his interview with French religious periodical La Vie, Pope Francis was asked about the current situation in Europe, and this was his response:
“The only continent that can bring about a certain unity to the world is Europe,” the Pope adds. “China has perhaps a more ancient, deeper, culture. But only Europe has a vocation towards universality and service.” … “If Europe wants to rejuvenate, it is necessary for it to find anew its cultural roots. Of all Western countries, the European roots are the strongest and deepest. By the way of colonization, these roots even reached the New World. But, by forgetting its history, Europe weakens itself. It is then that it risks becoming an empty place.”
]La Vie:] Europe, an empty place? The expression is strong. … Because in the history of civilizations, emptiness always calls fullness to itself. Incidentally, the Pope becomes clinical [in his diagnosis]:
“We can speak today of an Arab invasion. It is a social fact.” … “How many invasions Europe has known throughout its history! It has always known how to overcome itself, moving forward to find itself as if made greater by the exchange between cultures.”

That is spot on!
Don McKellar says
That sums it up.
And as Robert points out, he can’t even get it right and say Muslim invasion. But that’s almost certainly intentional.
Shane says
This dhimmi Pope should resign so that someone who will take on the Islamic invasion of Europe can be appointed. Europe is in a war against Islamic jihad, and so far the Muslims are beating the crap out of the infidels of Europe.
Rob Porter says
Don McKeller, this statement “It has always known how to overcome itself, moving forward to find itself as if made greater by the exchange between cultures,”pretty much says it all regarding this Pope. Like Obama he re-writes history with considerable alacrity and seems to imagine that we will simply swallow his manufactured twaddle.
Christianblood says
Does he even know what he is talking about?
The Quiz says
No Way.
Spot On says
No. Like most PC liberals, he thinks that free or Judeo Christian society is a “given” and that it is “too big to fail”.
Kind of like an old bridge that has stood for centuries… don’t pay attention to “those crazy non PC engineers”. There is no danger it will fall any time soon because it has stood for centuries.

It is not Catholicism that lead Europe to reject their Christian roots and become secular. The protestant reformation and especially sola scriptura stuff that lead directly to the abolition of Christianity in Europe. Don’t forget it was the Catholics that saved Europe from a direct invasion by Islam three times Vienna, Portieres, and Lepanto. Those are the three direct invasions. There were several other smaller incursions and a continual threat that only the unity of the church and Catholic monarchs were able to challenge. It is secular France and secular England that over the past few centuries have allowed the enemy to literally invade without firing a shot.
Western Canadian says
Andrew and Timothy, you efforts to blame the death of reduction of Christianity in Europe on Protest against the RC church, are pathetic. Marxism, socialism, the incredible and totally pathetic French revolution, Hitlers rise to power….. And a few other items could be added. All of which trump your hate filled offerings.
Wellington says
Well, Lee, many popes have been quite impressive, for instance Leo I, Gregory I, Urban II, Innocent III, Julius II, Paul III, Innocent XI (whom Winston Churchill, certainly no Catholic, praised for his statesmanship), Benedict XIV, Leo XIII, and Benedict XVI.
Beware of the broad, sweeping generalization. Certainly Francis I is a fool, but then you could find Prime Ministers, Presidents and Kings and Queens who were (or are) as well, but this shouldn’t translate into denouncing these offices in the aggregate, now should it?
Frank says
Very well said, Wellington. Thank you for that. Indeed there have been atrocious popes, but there have also been a great many heroic and saintly popes.
There seems to me to be too many here on JihadWatch who are just too eager to seize upon any mistake or mis-statement of any Catholic priest, bishop or pope, and use it to (try to) discredit the entire Catholic faith and Church.
I’m getting pretty tired of that.
gravenimage says
Hear, hear, Wellington!
Michael says
Wellington and Frank those “kings, queens and rulers past and present” have never gone around with their flowing robes and piety speaking on behalf of the Almighty. Broad strokes I agree are not fair for every Catholic believer.
Kathy Brown, Esq. says
Well said Wellington. And Frank? I join in your…fatigue? I’ll go further-as I think you meant-and call my reaction ,’disgust’.
What are we here? Are we Americans? Patriots? I thought so.
Thus I’m disgusted by the posters here who take any opportunity to ridicule, attack and deride the Holy Roman Catholic Church of which I am a devoted, proud and emphatic, member. As are many, many on this site; and on many of our conservative, patriotic sites.
The only other place I see these attacks are in my daily work. I practice law in the area of the 1st Amendment. This takes me to our colleges where-daily-helpless young people, students, are singled out for attacks. They are threatened-verbally, then IN WRITING-with being flunked, given low grades, having their term papers ‘lost’, etc., etc. Why? Because they identify themselves as ROMAN CATHOLICS.
This opprobrium is visited upon them because they declare their Faith; and declare their opposition to so-called ‘same-sex marriage’, homosexuality, and abortion as cornerstones of that Faith.
So those of you who feel compelled to insult us? Understand with whom you make common cause. Tyrants of the Left who single out defenseless KIDS, whose career dreams they can-and do!-shatter. The shrieking intolerant members of the MSA who call us ‘Crusaders’ and who are so ignorant of actual history that they conceive this to be an insult instead of the highest compliment any Catholic could ever be paid.
Understand this. And govern yourselves accordingly.
Pong says
‘same-sex marriage’, homosexuality, and abortion as cornerstones of that Faith.”
Opposion to those practices is not what makes catholic church so disguising. What you have done is substituting the real problem with no problem. If you are a proud catholic you have also to be proud of the following:
1. Allah and god are the same
2. Supporting moslem’s against Israel
3. Not giving any, even moral, support to M-E christians
4. Supporting moslem invasion of Europe and USA
5. Helping moslems to deceit the west by establishing so-called dialogs
You do what many moslems do. They can defend islam because islam is also against the same sex marriage, homosexuality and abortion. If that is a “cornerstone of catholic faith”, what’s the problem of being a moslem ?
Myxlplik says
Hey Pong, do you have any incling as to how diverse the RC community is? A lot of Roman Catholics are very upset by the aiding and abetting of this invasion by, for instance, the Clergy of Italy. I can tell you though, these Clergymen are “fishing” and attempting to give humanitarian aide. I can tell you that if you have taken the calling of Roman Catholicism to become Clergy, it’s not possible for you to believe that any soul is beyond saving through the Holy Spirit.
I’m an Agnostic now, but I’ve been watching a lot of folks bag on the Pope, and Catholics as “Satanic” etc., and I can tell you that first of all in my community RC Churches are standing room only. The Pope is like any other political leader, things he says and does can get people killed, including his Clergy, who are woefully vulnerable.
People have the Freedom to say whatever they like about the Pope and Roman Catholics, because we don’t murder people like Muslims do, so go ahead and have a Pope cartoon contest and never compare us to Muslims again.
Thanks for writing this Kathy, they are pissing me off too with the rampant ignorance.
Western Canadian says
Pong maybe safely written off as a loon. Try it, it is most satisfying.
Black Eagle says
Welll intended? Hogwash! He is silent about the ongoing genocide of Christians, as they aren’t Roman Catholics. “Only” Eastern orthodox, or other non-Muslim sects. Too bad for them. Just remember his attitude while in Mexico, preaching Communism, then lecturing Americans for not taking in more of Latin America’s throw-away excess children, from poverty areas following Catholic doctrines against contraception and abortion. These multi-Billionaire Popes are nobody to admire. They sit on tons of gold, making a mockery of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Salome says
There are a lot of Eastern Rite Christians in communion with the Pope in those parts, and he doesn’t say much about them either. Their bishops occasionally drop hints.
andrew sapia says
The reason he doesn’t, and I believe he is wrong, but the logic is that since the church can do little to actually aid these Christians, speaking out loudly will only piss the muzzies off more and cause them to further harm the Christians, many of whom are in communion with Rome. I think it is wrong policy but that is why the church has adopted this policy.
Michael says
This pope is atrocious when it comes to teaching the foundational Christian cornerstones of our faith, he is the classic case of sitting on the fence and tickling the ears of the liberal lefties who are his audience oh sorry congregation. Seriously this pope is dancing with the devil when he stands with the Muftis in their mosques and announces we share the same ‘god’ and then have a warm fuzzie prayer session and ho hum “god” is good, allahu Akbar and off they all go to the next political podium. Doesn’t God say in the Tanach that he is a jealous God and He alone is to be worshiped?? What will Christianity devolve into in a few years time by chipping away from the Gospel a little here and a little there until what? One world religion that is lukewarm towards Israel?
Gentlemen, this site is no platform for criticizing Catholicism I have the utmost respect for their tradition and Christian militancy but surely our commission on earth is to go out and make disciples and not marry the world? This pope has married the world..sorry.
Swiggamacorffe says
By Black Eagle’s reckoning, Jesus Christ was a multi-billionare too. When Pope John Paul 2 died, like his predecessor, their entire worldly goods fitted into a shoebox.
Have you ever seen the private apartment where Pope’s live? No decent Yank would degrade themselves to succumb to such poverty and self-inflicted austerity. Most Protestant pastors have nice homes, TV’s, all mod cons. These Popes put them all to shame, but lets face it, Protestantism isn’t about Christianity, it is about ganging and beating up Catholics.
There is little I can see between Protestantism and Islam except that the Protestants have killed more Catholics than the Moslems.
Western Canadian says
“There is little I can see between Protestantism and Islam except that the Protestants have killed more Catholics than the Moslems.”
Some people come here to bash the RC church with unadulterated gibberish and ignorant hatred. You come here to bash Protestants, using the same methods. REALLLY impressive there sparky!!
Myxlplik says
Look, as a Roman Catholic, I can tell you that there are many bilingual masses in California where Anglo, and Hispanic communities come together in love and harmony. Through the Church it’s possible for our communities to come together in a positive way for the greater good of mankind.
The Pope also has to be very careful about what he says or people will die, mostly his Clergy who are trying to serve in troubled areas within the Middle East.
I can’t believe I’m defending this guy, but my roots run deep & it’s just simple logic anyhow, unless you just consider the entire Middle East and ALL of its souls a loss, which I’m sure the Pope does not.
Pong says
“I can’t believe I’m defending this guy, but my roots run deep…”
It is called prejudice.

are these the words the Holy Pontiff would have told the Christians of Egypt, Syria, and other countries of the Middle East run over by the sword of Islam in the 7th and following centuries?
would he have counseled Spaniards not to reconquer their lands and culture?
Exactly how has any place on earth been made better by an exchange of cultures with Islam?.. looks like his reasoning power flew off with his hat.

Angry Aussie says
Anger and frustration is what I, as a RC, feel. Not just towards Pope Francis, but towards the majority of Western religious leaders. In Australia, they are almost all in denial, with the exception of a very small minority. Look up Mark Durie. He is Anglican. There’s a DVD called “Sister Religions? ” that respectfully but bluntly, tells it like it is. It’s a shame more church leaders weren’t like Mark Durie.
The Pope is a figurehead of the Catholic Church. He isn’t like a Sharia Court Judge and can’t enforce his opinion on Catholics. He is respected. He is human. He does make mistakes. His role is mainly that of a peacekeeper. My view is that he believes if he speaks of love and unity enough, he will solve world peace issues. (Who wants 1.2 billion Muslims crashing through the gates of the Vatican or anywhere else?).
Don’t be too decieved by his Yoda-speak. He is a very intelligent man. English is not his first language, nor native tongue. I think he knows what is going on, but, like Frau Merkel, choses to see the positives in hijrah (whatever they may be – I am yet to observe a single positivity).
For the record, what The Pope says and does, does not impact the daily lives of the majority of RCs. Maybe only the clergy. Kind of like whatever Obama says and does is ignored by most of the world, despite what Obama believes.
Most Christians and Atheists I know, have strong beliefs that a return to the days of the Crusades is inevitable, and within our lifetime.

Charli Main says
The real miracle of the Crusades, was that less than 2000 Knights of the Holy Orders and a poorly trained and equipped local Christian militia, surrounded by some 5 million Muslims, was able to keep the Holy Land free for some 250 years.
Yes, Crusading armies went to the Holy Land to fight the Muslims on several occasions, but THEY NEVER STAYED. After a couple of years or so they returned to Europe, more interested in continuing their internecine warfare, rather than liberating the Muslim occupied, Christian Middle East.
Westman says
I doubt the US Catholics are paying much attention as the church is in decline. Only about a quarter of US Catholics attend mass, while a severe shortage of Priests has left over 3500 parishes wit out a resident Priest. The number of lay ministers has doubled since 1985. The number of Sisters and Brothers has dropped to approx 1/3 of the 1965 numbers. The number of Religious Priests and ordination are about half the 1965 stats. The most interesting figures are the increase in foreign-born members and the increase in secondary and college enrollments. It appears that the church is becoming an educational institution for perhaps, non-Catholics?

Perhaps the most telling stats are for the mass attendance in Italy.

Angemon says
Start by kicking the foreign muslim rapefugees out, like we’ve done during 14 centuries or so, from North to South, East to West. As for muslims who happen to carry the citizenship of an European country, cut them no slack – as long as they behave they can enjoy all the perks that come with being a law-abiding citizen, but if they step on the line and, let’s say, support an islamic terror group, it should be considered treason and treated accordingly.

Lately I’ve been reading Lars Brownworth’s histories of the Vikings. They actually did invade Europe, conquered England, some of Ireland, Siciliy, parts of Italy and France. After a generation or two, or three, they began to assimilate. They converted to Christianity, and are today remembered for “Bluetooth”, starboard, port, inventing the keel and blond Italians. Thus, one may wonder: Why can’t the Muslims follow suit?
The Vikings were pagans (ex. Odin and Thor) and were in no way religious fanatics and had no interest in dawa or world conversion. Also, despite their brutality, their womenfolk were treated with fairness and equality (ex. equal inheritance, divorce initiation rights).
The Muslims are another invader altogether.
gravenimage says
Pope Francis: “We can speak today of an Arab invasion” of Europeir new countries.
…………………….
This seems at first like an important admission by Pope Frank–but then he goes on to say this:
“We can speak today of an Arab invasion. It is a social fact.” … “How many invasions Europe has known throughout its history! It has always known how to overcome itself, moving forward to find itself as if made greater by the exchange between cultures.”
…………………….
Yeah–the last invasion of barbarians just destroyed the Roman Empire there and brought on the Dark Ages. It took Europe almost a thousand years to regain the same level of civilization there.
And anyone familiar with the history of Islam knows that Muslims are *much worse* than your average barbarians. It has been almost 1400 years now, and the places conquered by Islam–those that were not able to throw off the yoke–remain hopeless hell holes.
Pope Francis is not so much acknowledging a crisis in Europe as reassuring the dhimmis that they don’t have to worry about it overmuch…
DFD says
gravenimage says: “…Yeah–the last invasion of barbarians just destroyed the Roman Empire there and brought on the Dark Ages. It took Europe almost a thousand years to regain the same level of civilization there.”
Hi Graven, you mange to put a few misconceptions into one sentence. The dark age lasted for 300-500 years, depending upon scholar. Then came the middle ages. Roman Empire, which one? And in conjunction with Islam, may I direct you to Dr. Warner’s site? https://www.politicalislam.com/why-we-are-afraid-a-1400-year-secret/ In case you don’t know it, or are unaware of this piece. He’s very scholarly, if a bit dry, but highly informative and his work and research is very thorough.
It will clear up a few things about barbarian invasions and their consequences, bit lengthy, ~ 1.4 hours. Though, it is primarily dealing with Islam.
Wellington says
It is not a good thing for all of Western Civilization should a fool occupy the papal throne.
But one does now.
DFD says
To Wellington: “…fool in papal office…”
I agree mostly with what you say. But I don’t believe he is a fool. Though, he certainly is acting foolish, no question about that. If he were a fool, his counsellors could reign in on him – assumed they are men of reason. But even if they are, and he is not a fool, then he gets his way.
This guy is an enigma. Or indeed a fool surrounded by foolish advisers…
Wellington says
I would argue, DFD, that Francis is indeed surrounded by many fools, those who are the inevitable institutional descendants of that great exercise in foolhardiness, Vatican II (1962-1965), which did so much destruction to the traditional Catholic Church. John Paul II and Benedict XVI fought read-guard actions against the many ill effects of Vatican II, examples of such wrongs being the destruction of the Latin Mass and the astounding (and silly) claim that all religions have valid revelation experiences (Islam didn’t have a shed of this).
Now, the heirs of Vatican II have “their guy” on the papal throne, having driven a very good man off that throne, Benedict XVI, who understood how the world really works far better than the current occupant of the throne of St. Peter does. Look up the Cardinal Godfried Danneels for partial confirmation of what I have asserted here.
Good to see your posts here. Take care.
Pong says
Thanks for putting a bit of sanity to the discussion. Most people do not understand the profound effect of Vatican II on catholic church. It isn’t the same church anymore.
BTW. Thank you for pointing to my mistake about C.Lewis some time ago.
SAKOVKT says
The only “unity” Europe ever brought to the world was via its Imperium.
The peoples or nations of Europe have always been distinct and competitive.
The European Imperium ends in WW1, a European “civil war” of sorts, for there was a “European System” a la Bismarck or Congress of Vienna, ect.
But Europe was never united, not even against the Ottomans, upon occasion, the barbarian or proto-agonal enemy.
Imperial wars were often enough only the echoes of continental struggles.
The finale of the European System was WW2, which brought about the end of the last and greatest of the empires, after which Europe floods with its former colonial subjects, as with most empires.
Even American, Australia and Canadian troops in the world wars might be considered “colonial invaders” on the Continent and different only in race (as the term was once used) from the colonial troops employed by Britain and France.
Oswald Spengler and his disciples actually predicted this would happen as it happened in the other empires Spengler studied in detail.
Europe presently complies with the form of imperial decline.
This is not necessary, because we know the cycle, why it happens, and do not have to comply with it.
But to stop it, Europe will need to recover its cultural and National culture and roots. Money and power must recede before people and culture. Power is not necessary for a great people but only a great people can have power.
This was actually the gist of the Napoleonic Nationalist Movement which later became Fascist.
Today, it is necessary to realize that Fascism, itself, is no longer possible due to the Consumer Economy and that the “Far Right” groups of today, opposed to the Jihad, are allies, no matter what historical tradition they may avail themselves of.
Nationalism simply prescribes that a people or a nation or a race, as the term was then used (not as it is today) determining its own destiny via is own nation state, much like Israel, the “Jewish state”.
Nationalism is the answer, no matter what it may look like from the view of certain “historians” who are largely little more than agitprops.
Trump is an American Nationalist.
Ted Cruz is more the Traditional American.
either one might accomplish the present task as required and I doubt that any of the others even realize the scope of the problem.
My two cents!
Wellington says
Be careful with praise of Spengler. As Paul Johnson wrote of him in his magisterial history of the twentieth century, Modern Times, “By sheer bad luck, the most widely read and influential book in 1920s Germany was ‘The Decline of the West’ by Oswald Spengler, a foolish and pedantic schoolteacher.” Spengler, as Johnson notes, wrote his work during WWI “in anticipation of German victory” (well, got this wrong, didn’t he?).
Spengler despised democracy, saw it as a weakness (so German) and pushed for a nation to be led by a dynamic dictator, as evidenced by another work of his, ‘Prussianism and Socialism’. So glad none of the Founding Father of America ever bought into the nonsense that Spengler over a century later promulgated as wisdom and truth. In short, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution beat Spengler by a mile.
Wellington says
“Fathers” and not the sigular “Father.”
Wellington says
Uh, again wrong. This time it should be “singular” and not (go figure) “sigular.: I quit for the night.
gravenimage says
Yes, Wellington–Oswald Spengler is an equivocal figure *at best*. He was also a Socialist, though he despised Marx. His relationship with the rising Nazis was pretty uncomfortable, as well.
In his less well-known “Man and Technics” he warned against the supposed perils of technology and industrialization–even though innovation is an important aspect of Western Civilization.
He was also a thoroughgoing pessimist in general, and said, “optimism is cowardice”. Certainly, unfounded or blind optimism is profoundly foolish, but one can argue that optimism as a world-view–and the can-do stance that so often accompanies it–are actually key attributes of the free West.
Weirdly, Malcolm X was a big fan.
Huck Folder says
“…he warned against the supposed perils of technology and industrialization…”
“How dreadful are the curses which MOHAMMEDANISM lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.
The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.
A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in MOHAMMEDAN law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the ‘faith’ of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die: but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.
Far from being moribund, MOHAMMEDANISM is a MILITANT and PROSELYTIZIING ‘faith’. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that CHRISTIANITY IS SHELTERED IN THE STRONG ARMS OF SCIENCE, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”
“The River War: An Historical Account of the Reconquest of the Soudan (1899), by Winston Churchill, concerning his experiences as a British Army officer, during the Mahdist War (1881–99) in the Sudan.”
Wellington says
Didn’t know, gravenimage, Malcolm X was a big fan of Spengler. Thanks for that.
Well, talk about strange bedfellows, but then perhaps not so strange since neither “got” freedom and both aligned with forces of repression. You know, I fight the cynical urge to conclude, as Napoleon did, that history is a pack of lies agreed upon, but when I see people like Spengler, Malcolm X and that most overrated person of the 20th century, Gandhi, consistently praised, I find myself sorely tempted to agree with the Emperor.

As citizens with membership in a non muslim country alll being changed from being shelter seekers into being oppressed and in need of their own teachings and way of living as muslims, according to islam and sharialaw, because they claim that they are being oppressed by the government and country they now live in not accepting its laws and way of life.
How many muslims and mosques are there in Mexico and South America? Not many I suppose. Nothing like in the U.S.A. or in Europe anyway. A dublestandard there as well.
Better Maria than sharia. Happier with Trump Towers than mosques.
The rules for seeking asylum ought to be changed. Not allowing islam to be spread. Only allowing real refugees and according to the rules of sovereign countries not according to the EU or the UN.

I had a friend who was placed in a Catholic orphanage when she was a child. Her mother died during the Spanish flu epidemic so she would have been placed in the orphanage probably in the 1920’s. She has long since passed on, but she was a really good friend. She told me some tales of what happened in the orphanage. It wasn’t pleasant. I recall her telling me that the nuns made the children kneel on dried corn. And the movie of a couple of years ago, Philamena” told a story that was supposed to be true about children being stolen from their mothers at a Catholic home for unwed mothers in Ireland.
I’m sure that state run institutions were equally cruel, but they didn’t pretend to be working for God. That makes a difference to me.
Kathy Brown ,Esq. says
Human beings run institutions, secular or religious. Human beings are possessed of original sin, in other words, flawed. Since that is so, individuals will always sin.
Of course it is worse if those [flawed] individuals are ‘working for God’. But that individual people fail in their ministrations does not mean that all of them ‘pretend to be working for God’.
Was your friend also careful to give credit to all the caregivers who loved, helped, cared for, her? To others? I hope so.

Something is wrong with that article because it just doesn’t make any sense. Perhaps the journalist quoted him wrong. Perhaps it went through various translations, from the Pope to the journalist, and from the journalist to a newspaper article, and from the newspaper article to English.
On the other hand, it occurred to me for the first time that the Vatican has reason to be concerned with the invasion of the Muslim hordes, because they could overwhelm Vatican City in the end. In any event, the article does seem to be inconsistent with both the Pope’s condemnation of Trump and his apparent affection for Islam.

@DFD
I suspect that you are a close European Union watcher. As such, I have little doubt that you are fully aware of a long term objective of the loonies running the asylum in Brussels.
Its not just about getting Turkey into the European Union, its getting ALL the countries of the Mediterranean basin ( North Africa/ Near East ) into the EU.
These lunatics are planning to recreate the boundaries and territories the old Roman Empire.
A new Rome ruled by them from Brussels. Inundating Europe with Muslims is a part of the ” softening up ” plan.
Angemon says
Charli Main posted:
“These lunatics are planning to recreate the boundaries and territories the old Roman Empire.”
I respectfully disagree, Charli Main, on the grounds that the Romans saw their values, culture and law adopted by the people they conquered because it was superior to their native values, culture and laws while the buffoons in Brussels are throwing away their values, culture and law for others that are clearly inferior. I’ll say that they’re trying to finish what the Umayyad Caliphate failed to do.

You are more correct than you think.
The EU fancies itself in that role. And, unfortunately it cannot be reformed, except under pressure of revolution – possibly, though not likely. The rulers, nationally as well as within the ‘Brussels framework’ have lost touch. They believe in their advisers, their financiers (not the public), and the newspapers, confusing these with the public’s opinion. Generally, it is not too difficult detecting actual contempt and haughtiness in them. Witness here the statement of a German minister in a speech saying that those Germans “who don’t like it are free to leave.” The audience exploded, he was chased out. But it shows the *mindset*.
Further, comparing the EU with the Roman Empire is correct, that is what it wants to be, and it will fail for the same reason, since it already follows the same policies. Cutting military expenditure and sticking loafs of bread onto the enemies swords. Didn’t work then, doesn’t work now. All the enemy does is raise another sword, demanding to put meat onto it, done. Another sword, attach a bag of gold… Ad nauseum. But that was, and is again, true for the western half of the Empire.
Action replay:
The eastern half of the Empire will rise. It has no other choice. It’s core group is already established, the Visigrad four (or five). They are willing to fight, from the outset. They are aware of the history of Islam, having been occupied and terrorized by Islam, and thus unlike the western half (Brussels) do not depend upon short, professional synopsis and reports, pretending to inform those in power. Mortimer, on this group, states frequently that they haven’t read the core texts of Islam, he is correct, and they can’t be bothered to do so. Too much reading, too much time. They have to go to important meetings, lunches, etc., coupled with a complete lack of feeling for what is going on in the streets. Here is the core thinking of the western half: Islam? Just another religion, will be sidelined and ridiculed like Christianity. The media will make sure of that. The new generation will be like us. And once indebted for their new Mercedes’ and Porsches, they’ll have other problems. Many of them actually believe their own cr.p about religion of peace, misunderstood, a small minority, etc. All that ‘briefing’ and PR rubbish.
The Balkan Europeans are different, their memory is fresh. Moreover, they are also aware of the 30 years war. So are the Germans, of course, but the German leadership chooses to ignore it, or is to terrified to contemplate it. It will happen again. And next to the inferno of the 30 years war, ww2 was a piece of cake. And remember, it was a religious/political war.
The EU will go down in flames, unless it reforms; unlikely, and if so, too late. The German and Scandinavian public is rapidly relearning. Poland thinks it doesn’t have a Muslim problem, it does, Chechen (refugee) attacks are increasing constantly, even in Warsaw. Russia? Moscow is the Muslim capital of Europe. Turkey into Europe? Nonsense, at least the current ¾ of member states which have vetoed Turkey’s entrance will continue to do so.
Further about the eastern half (Byzantium) of the empire. From the Rhone/Rhine area eastward, the peoples are all Alemans. It’s a Viking/Latin term, meaning “All Men”. Note, the Germans are the most western tribe of the Alemans, the Russians are the most eastern tribe. Ignore the Hitleristic bull about the Slavs being subhuman, no German or Scandinavian thinks remotely like that. There’s a lot at stake here. ‘Russian’ contains the word ‘Rus’. That’s Viking for ‘Ore’ as in rowing. The slaves actually appointed a Viking to rule over them. For, like the German tribes, the Slavic tribes were constantly fighting among each other. With the Viking king and Viking settlers they became the Russ – and essentially joined the Allemanic group of nations. Or tribes, whatever you want to call it. Let me put it this way, put a Muscovite into the streets of Berlin, he will be less noticeable than, say, a Parisian.
I don’t know about the French, but the Germans will not be Islamized. Action replay: 30 year war, and seeking refuge with the east. France and Italy cannot be relied on, England/Britain? If it goes alone, than the commonwealth will be a gusher of people coming to the ‘motherland’. And the UK was already declared to be just another member of the commonwealth, by India!
That’s an extremely brief overview of a very complex matter. War will break out, not if, but when. Germany will be the start, and the Germans wont wait for another 50/50 situation. Already this year, 2 months, over 600 asylum centres burned down or drowned (open the tabs, close windows and doors. The building needs to be demolished afterwards, and you have an easy, undramatic getaway). In Sweden they are burning daily. The Muslims will push and push, then withdraw because of fear of the backlash, wait and start again, to install terror into the hearts etc. That’ll be too late then. Don’t rule out massacres. And it’s quite a walk from Berlin to the French border.
I wrote and posted on the 30 years war, and also what the German army is training and equipping for, for several years by now.
If you like, I can repost this here.

Well done, your Holiness, but the good citizens of west London (Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge) have been talking about an ‘arab invasion’ for years as these paragons of civilised humanity appear every summer to pollute the place, racing and making a noise around the streets in their obscenely over-priced autombiles, double-parking and blocking junctions (who cares about traffic regulations?), keeping all the expensive local call-girls in business and pestering all the other girls who don’t happen to be ‘in the business’. And our Jewish friends in other parts of London are having an unwelcome reminder about honing their survival instincts as a result of our wonderful new guests. But apparently we wouldn’t have the fantastic sky-high ‘Shard’ building if it wasn’t for Qatari money, assuming we actually wanted that wretched eyesore on the London skyline in the first place.

The last time I was in London, three years ago, and I do mean the LAST time, I was told by native British that the real English go home to the suburbs every night and the Muslims take over. Of course, they are not allowed to criticize the Muslims. I have even seen a woman in her shroud working as a cashier at Tesco’s. Outrageous.
Pong says
I remember, even in 1981 I was the only white person on a bus, which I took from Trafalgar Square.
jayell says
Hello Carolyne. The real English have been escaping from London to the outer suburbs and even further out ever since the process of ‘enrichment’ began in earnest about 20 – 30 years ago. What happened over the years was that, as more moved out, the ‘enrichers’ moved in and (as has been officially recognised) depressed house prices and sold only to their extended families, friends, etc….. One trick would be for them to keep an eye open any elderly (English) homeowner dying, or in bad health, or likely to move for any reason, and then to plague that person, or the relatives, with calls at the house or to a known phone number with offers of a quick cash sale before the house went on the market, and even sometimes before anyone had actually died! I speak from experience, having had to sell two properties of departed relatives in ‘enriched’ areas – an utterly nauseating experience. Then of course the place gets pretty well completely taken over, English names and produce disappear from shops, and although the buildings might be recognisable, the rest of it transforms into a suburb of some ‘subcontinental paradise’, overflowing garbage included. The other angle of attack is the acquisition by ‘extraneous elements’ of shops in strictly non-enriched areas, and then the ‘shrouds’ start appearing there as well (yes, we also have a Tesco’s + shrouds at times!). You don’t need to be particularly observant to see it spreading. Mr. Spencer mentioned one example of this in the guise of ‘Euro garages’ (a muslim-owned concern) which actually acquired the local filling-station-cum-supermarket in a currently bijou ‘English’ area. All the wine and beer disappeared from the shelves! Now there’s a funny thing!! (The locals are not at all happy!). There isn’t a mosque or islamic centre here. Yet. Hopefully I won’t be around to see it when it appears.
Stewart Davies says
It is true that as Cardinal Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Bergoglio adnonished Benedict XVI for his Regensburg speech. And since his elevation to the papacy, he has somewhat naively, and even panderingly tried to engage muslims in dialogue. But maybe, just maybe, he is beginning to recognise, and publicly acknowledge, the diabolic menace that is Islam. We have immense problems with this satanic cult, and for the last several decades, especially since the Second Vatican Council, the Church, having embarked on a reckless adventure of misplaced idealism, has left itself wide open to be deceived by the “politically correct” spirit of the world. Pope Francis is just as much a product of this as everyone else in the Church. But give him a little more time to learn. And remember, God is in charge of His Church, and He is not asleep in the stern. There is nothing we can tell Him that He doesn’t know. He merely expects us to remain faithful and trusting in the face of whatever the world chooses to throw at us.

Wow – that was quite the read! The view from the outside is entertaining. The Catholic fundamentalists are like fundamentalists of any persuasion, and the Pope is a liberal. It looks like a split is developing, maybe even a new protestant reformation.
This is bound to happen, because Truth refuses to be a block of stone as the fundamentalists would have it. While Truth may take the form of a solid at times, more often it is a liquid, and sometimes even a gas.
Meanwhile, the Catholic Church has been a moribund relic of the past, having utterly failed to keep pace with the evolution of social consciousness. It has been losing members in the developed world at an astonishing pace to atheism on one hand, and evangelicalism on the other, with fifty shades of grey in between. Growth comes from third world nations of impoverished peoples who will be unable to fill the Church’s depleted coffers like the West once did.

The original instructions from God were given to Moses written on stone..

One of the most important points of receiving the commandments is that.
God Spoke the Commandments to a multitude of people gathered around a
mountain…they were trebling in awe below the mountain…his voice literally
shook those people…with its power as it boomed across the land like the
sound of roaring thunder…He spoke the Commandments with His Voice
…He was atop Mount Sinai…the whole mountain quaked greatly.
He appeared to everyone…some 3 million people.
The only way one can ever claim so many witnesses of a revelation
and have it accepted is if it is true
Personal revelation is an extremely weak basis for a religion
since one can never know if it is indeed true.
This is one of the main reasons Islamist hate Christians and Jews.
You might force a belief based on personal experience…even if not so.
But You just could not keep up belief based on millions of witnesses…
If it were not so.
Swiggamacorffe says
Some 3-million people. Where do folk get these obscene numbers from?
It is doubtful there were more than 20,000 escaped via the Exodus.

A small technicality Mark, HaShem spoke to Moses atop the mountain – remember the brethren were too afraid and the elders said to Moses to listen on their behalf. The mountain did indeed shake and they all saw and heard. Bless you brother!

With all due respect for the Ten Commandments, though the substrate is stone, some of the Commandments themselves are fluid, depending on circumstances. It may say “Thou shalt not kill”, but it is widely accept that we may kill in time of war, for example, to protect our loved ones and ourselves. While we are commanded to “Remember the Sabbath and to keep it holy”, it is broadly accepted that emergency workers and medical staff may work on the Sabbath.

“… it risks becoming an empty place.” Too true. Empty except for Muslims.
The birth rates in all European countries mean that their native stock will decline and disappear because they do not birth enough children to replace themselves. This is voluntary genocide by the population of a part of the world whose civilization brought about the modern world.
So sad. No more Germans. No more Italians. No More Spaniards. No more Frenchmen. No more Russians. No more Belgians, Swedes, Danes, Serbs, Albanians, Greeks, Slavs, or Hungarians. All will be gone.
Leaving their territories part of the Muslim world and inhabited by medieval-minded coreligionists. Europe will not assimilate them; they will assimilate the Europeans. It won’t take long. A couple of generations or less, depending on how the Europeans capitulate–by adopting their new religion or, if the Muslims get antsy, by surrender to violence.
And with them will go all the grandeur of art, sculpture, and literature produced over millenniums that will be deemed non-Islamic and destroyed by the mullahs.

Does it have anything to do with Ireland being a catholic country, or it is by an accident ?

Your hatred of the RC church has been noted. Now, shut up, you pathetic moron.
Pong says
It is unlikely you understand the irony of your post, accusing me of hate. 10 years ago, on this blog, I predicted that RCC is moving toward alliance with islam. To see something and point to it is not hatred, but it does bring hatred from people like you. Deep inside you probably feel that I am asking the right questions, but scared to admit it. You are already responding the same way as moslems do: personal abuse. You didn’t address the issue, you ignore it. I understand, it is painful to see that catholics getting in bed with moslems, but reality is there and soon you will have to face it. When the time comes, my prediction is that you will close your eyes. Many post on this blog point to problems about RCC attitude to M-E. Many criticize this position as the wrong one. With the time people will understand that it is just a pro-islamic position of the church. Guys, you have been sold and sold cheap.
Western Canadian says
No irony at all. Numerous of your posts are nothing but hatred. As for the RC church ‘aligning’ with islam, that is notup to a single pope, or his underlings. If he actually does something so stupid, he would be quickly deposed. And I am blind to very little, in any form of dealing with islam.

Western Canadien.
Calling me “pathetic moron” reflects much more on you, then on me. Your parents are probably very rich people. They seems to save a lot on teaching you manners.
Western Canadian says
Calling you apathetic moron is a response to your pathetically moronic comment about Ireland….. That you have such a thin skin is no surprise, you habit of name calling is a clue that you do not argue, but attack. And cannot tolerate anyone who picks up the rocks you throw and throws them back at you. Your parents must be very poor, they must have spent a fortune on teaching you to have such blatant double standards, and it is very hard and takes a lot of effort to stay as ignorant as you are.

“The pope is not the Faith, only its custodian. He cannot make new doctrine, or change old, to suit himself.”
Oh yes, he can. The doctrin of salvation was changed at Vatican II.
Andrew Reset says
The stupidity is the failure to properly identify the threat. You cannot apply reason to an un-reasonable or non-reasoning people in an attempt to second guess their motives. There is no “why” because it is the nature of such to infect, rob, rape and murder when prey is available and vulnerable.
As long as people subscribe to the belief that all cultures, religions and people are created equal, prey will be plentiful.

Yes, I think it is part of the misguided and unwise: “Who am I to judge?”

I’d like to point out the massive gaping lack of an historic analysis of the immigration and political realities we are facing.
1 main point is ignored. The Catholic Church has been the SOLE historic defender of western civilization against the relentless hegemony of Islam’s fundamental premises to convert the world by the sword.
If we look at Isaiah 10, we can see a fundamental reality:
10:5. Woe to the Assyrian, he is the rod and the staff of my anger, and my indignation is in their hands.
What would God be indignant about concerning America? Well, earlier we find God stating: “10:1. Woe to them that make wicked laws: and when they write, write injustice:” Hmmm … could the 57 million abortions crying out to Heaven for vengeance have anything to do with unprecedented invasion by nominal Assyrian hordes? What wicked laws inviting injustice might Our Lord God have in mind in this event? Could it possibly be Roe v. Wade?
Okay, so let’s look at what the Catholic Church was able to do to stem the tide of Islam during the past 1400 years: Charles Martel was a noteworthy leader of armies with epic success in stemming Islam’s assaults against the west early on. The crusades, which are roundly despised by leftists who characterize them as some of the worst examples of Christian atrocities, were, in fact, a short term response to centuries of Islamic assaults on the European continent and the challenges they inflicted upon pilgrims to the Holy Land, whom they raped, kidnapped, enslaved, murdered, robbed and beheaded with impunity for centuries. See Dr. Bill Warner’s historic analysis at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_To-cV94Bo
Next we see La Reconquista of El Cid, Queen Isabella and King Philip was successful in displacing the Moor from the Iberian Peninsula over a period of centuries.
Or how about that miraculous victory at Lepanto where the Ottoman Empire’s navy, driven by the forced labor of Christian (read: Catholic) slaves at the oars, was decidedly annihilated by a smaller Catholic navy. This due to the broad prayer of the Rosary to the Blessed Mother by the laity and Mass after Mass at the Vatican by the Pope.
Shall we forget the Gates of Vienna? There, the pasha of the Islamic army was at the last blockade keeping him from his clearly stated goal of conquering Rome and making St. Peter’s Basilica a Muslim mosque. The Polish, Catholic, cavalry came to the day and defeated the pasha, who men had him beheaded and the head sent back to their leader as they retreated in abject defamation.
Today, what do we find concerning the Catholic Church? Since the 1500’s, the PROTESTant revolt has succeeded spectacularly in one aspect, i.e., complete theological chaos as the principle fruit. What else shall we expect, however, when Luther let the demons out of Pandora’s Box by reassuring each and every sola scripturist that he or she was solely responsible for understanding Holy Writ? This, of course, makes each reader of the Bible a Pope and Magisterium to him or herself. No one else can challenge the conclusions each individual has about what the Bible means. Church after church conduct class after class in reading and studying the Bible, and ultimately, what is the result?
54,000 different, disputing, disagreeing, diluting and dissipating sects, not one of which, again, can agree with the next.
Is the Holy Ghost a divisive Spirit or unifying?
Where do we find today the exact same theology promulgated and expounded by the Apostles and the Early Church Fathers?
Nowhere other than the One, Holy, Apostolic Universal Catholic Church.
If you were satan, and you wished to send everyone to Hell, what tactics WOULDN’T you engage in, in order to achieve this end? Would contempt for Christ’s Church be one such methodology to drive people away from the Truth? What PROTESTant holds the Catholic Church in honor?
Would you send people into it in particularly important positions in order to discredit it? What about all the bishops who brought in homosexual predators under the pretense of the priesthood to inflict decades of scandal against the laity?
Did not the Huns, Napolean Bonaparte, Goths, Vandals, Alans and Franks invade Rome and pillage the Vatican? Yet who stands to this day? Did not the PROTESTants spend themselves worthlessly assailing Catholicism and instead, blithely agreeing to disagree in order to avoid the shame of disunity?
Fr. Robert Barron recalls a comment made by Chicago’s Cardinal Francis George, who had been asked what he was thinking as he stood on the balcony of St. Peter’s after the election of Benedict XVI. George said, “I was gazing over toward the Circus Maximus, toward the Palatine Hill where the Roman Emperors once resided and reigned and looked down upon the persecution of Christians, and I thought, ‘Where are their successors? . . . But if you want to see the successor of Peter, he is right next to me, smiling and waving at the crowds.’”
People, that you hate the Catholic Church is no surprise, for ravening wolves of PROTESTant pastors, the media, and virtually every other opinion you’ve ever been introduced to by the world has never failed to underscore this most elemental tenet, the Catholic Church is the Whore of Babylon.
Really? PRAY THE ROSARY AND COME HOME. WE ARE THE LAST CHANCE FOR SALVATION AND THE LAST CHANCE FOR CIVILIZATION.
