Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Florida Catholic School That Invited Pro-Jihad Speaker Doubles Down

Apr 9, 2016 9:19 pm By Robert Spencer

Here is more on the disgraceful Catholic school in Florida that invited in a pro-jihad speaker — and would never dream, of course, of hosting a counter-jihad speaker.

St Petersburg Bedier

“Catholic School That Invited Pro-Jihad Speaker Doubles Down,” by Pamela Geller, American Thinker, April 8, 2016:

In mid-March I published an article in World Net Daily about an incident at St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, Last month, the entire student body was called together to hear a deceptive presentation on “Islamophobia” from the notorious Ahmed Bedier, who openly supports the jihad terror group Hezbollah and has worked for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Now the principal of St. Petersburg Catholic High, Fr. Richard Rosin, is making a clumsy attempt at damage control. He sent parents this letter – and some of them sent it to me:
Dear Parents/Guardians:

You may have heard that Ms. Pam Geller of Breitbart media has written a scathing and erroneous article about St. Petersburg Catholic High School. The article attempts to address the assembly held on Thurs. Feb. 18, 2016. It is important to allay any fears that this article has created.

The principal is sloppy and intellectually lazy: my name is Pamela Geller and the piece to which he is referring didn’t run in Breitbart News, but in World Net Daily. And while he claims that my article was “erroneous,” you’ll see that he doesn’t in his entire letter give a single example of any erroneous claim I made.

A few months ago some students came forward who were concerned about the media coverage of the Islamic people. The impression that seems to be prevalent in the media is that all Muslims are terrorists. The students recognized that such an irrational, global portrayal is not in concert with our Catholic faith nor our mission to educate the whole person.

“The media coverage of the Islamic people” were news reports of jihadi attacks — and many of those attacks involved the slaughter of Christians living under Islamic rule. They were oppressed and slaughtered because they were Christians. Is this how the good Father Rosin should respond and educate his young people?

And where did these students see media reports claiming that “all Muslims are terrorists”? That’s ridiculous. The media bends over backwards to make sure that Americans think that terrorism has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, and that peaceful Muslims are victims of “backlash” after terror attacks.

Meanwhile, one of my sources at the school has informed me it was just one student who thought this deceptive assembly would be a good idea, and she reportedly pressured the administration to get it approved. In the end, however, everything that occurs at that school is the responsibility of the principal. I wonder if anyone even vetted this Fr. Rosin. Not only was it a disgrace to subject these Christian kids to this propaganda, but it could have potentially been very dangerous.

After considering the request to present an appropriate and correct view of Islam, the administration agreed to have an assembly. Upon the recommendation of a well respected member of the clergy of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, who previously had our speaker make a presentation to his parish as part of an interdenominational dialogue, we asked Mr. Bedier to speak to our students.

A correct view of Islam? From a former representative of terror-tied CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation’s history? If Fr. Rosin really wanted to present an accurate view of Islam, he should have Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sutlan, Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Robert Spencer — not a former representative of a group with multiple links to Hamas, and which has been designated a terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates. Why didn’t the principal invite to the school one of the Catholic priests from the Middle East whose flock has been decimated by Islamic jihadis?

Beginning with the Baron Bulletin of Feb. 5, 2016, I indicated that we would be having the assembly on Islam. The assembly was published on our calendar. As always, parents were invited to attend. In fact, I had hoped more parents would be in attendance to share this information with their child and have a meaningful discussion.

After the assembly, our teachers spent time in classes discussing the assembly. By all accounts from the teachers, the discussions were very productive.

If this is true, all the teachers are as clueless and intellectually subjugated about this foremost issue of our time as Fr. Rosin is.

Additionally, St. Petersburg Catholic High School recorded the presentation. This was done so that any parent who wished could view the presentation for discussion with his/her son/daughter. There were a few parents who requested the link to this video.

While there is some disagreement about a few comments Mr. Bedier made, I did not find anything to be inappropriate in the presentation for our students. The Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of St. Petersburg has reviewed the presentation and found nothing inappropriate for our students.

Nothing inappropriate? As I showed in my original article on this, Bedier minimized, downplayed, and dissembled about the jihad threat. He falsely exaggerated Muslim achievements, played moral equivalence games in claiming that there were Christian terrorists as well as Muslim ones (with his one example being Tim McVeigh, who is supposed to be equivalent to the perpetrators of 28,000 jihad attacks since 9/11), and gave students an incomplete and misleading picture of the doctrinal differences between Islam and Christianity – even as Muslims are persecuting Christians to a degree unparalleled for centuries.

After the assembly it was discovered that Mr. Bedier posted a picture of our students on his Facebook page. We were not aware he would do so and in our continuing effort to protect the privacy of our students, we requested he remove it.

More dishonesty. Bedier took the picture during his presentation and said that he was going to post it to social media. So then Fr. Rosin was shocked to find it on Facebook?

As soon as I contacted Mr. Bedier he very willingly removed the picture. However, it is apparent that one or more of our parents have shared misinformation about this assembly with outside sources, e.g., Breitbart media, initiating a chain of events that could potentially incur significant negative repercussions for our school and our students. Ms. Geller not only spoke disparagingly about St. Petersburg Catholic High School but also the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. She also encouraged her readers to contact St. Petersburg Catholic High School and published the school phone number. Since we have received a few phone calls as a result of Ms. Geller’s article, we have been extra vigilant with regard to our visitors on campus as an added measure to continue to ensure the safety of our students.

What ridiculous posturing. Fr. Rosin, those who oppose jihad and Sharia are not murderers. None of my readers or supporters have committed any acts of violence. Nor have I ever called for or condoned any violence. Your students need have no fear of me or my supporters. They should fear Islamic jihadis who have repeatedly threatened to murder American civilians – but you have made sure that they are ignorant and complacent regarding that threat.

In his presentation, Mr. Bedier explained the Muslim perspective as well as bringing our attention to some very interesting and salient points for dialogue with the Abrahamic traditions. He condemned terrorism of any kind as well as advocated for reconciliation and understanding among all people. Is that not what our faith teaches? There was no occasion during Mr. Bedier’s presentation where our students could have been exposed to physical, psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm. This was not an exercise for the purpose of indoctrination but of understanding, which is what we want our students to be able to accomplish.

“There was no occasion during Mr. Bedier’s presentation where our students could have been exposed to physical, psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm”? What a hubristic claim. How could Fr. Rosin possibly know this? Is he so relativistic and intellectually compromised that he thinks that a patently deceptive presentation designed to make students less willing and able to resist a genuine and growing threat doesn’t cause psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm? And Bedier, who has featured open supporters of Hizballah on his radio show and worked for a Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood group, condemned terrorism? Is Fr. Rosin really that naïve and eager to be fooled? And does he really expect parents to be as well?

Our assembly followed the example of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, who urge us to open, honest dialogue of our faith with all our brothers and sisters. Our students are taught not to be ignorant of their Catholic faith, nor to shy away from sharing their Catholic faith. They are also taught that living their faith as Jesus commanded is the best way to help others understand their life with God.

In reality, Muslim groups worldwide are making active efforts to convert Christian young people to Islam (sometimes forcibly). The Catholic Church has done absolutely nothing to counter this, even as former Catholics have become jihadi terrorists. The Pope and the U.S. bishops are committed to the idea that Islam is a religion of peace while Muslims who know better are picking off their young people and turning them into killers. The “dialogue” they’re so fanatically committed to, meanwhile, has not saved one Middle Eastern Christian from being brutalized by Muslims, or one church from being destroyed.

In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, we are reminded that God’s mercy is greater than all of us. Let us share His love and mercy with each other.

Love and mercy – good. Love, mercy, and truth – better. But you’re not going to get truth from either Ahmed Bedier or Fr. Rosin.

Parents have a responsibility to understand what their children are being taught, and as they were invited to this assembly, they should have understood what was happening and accordingly expressed their disapproval and objection. My son is grown, but I would not have allowed him to attend such an assembly. Furthermore, Ms. Geller, you are absolutely correct about the intellectual dishonesty and obvious pro-Islamic bent of the principal, Fr. Rosin. No parent should trust the impressionable mind of their child to that dhimmi fraud. The Catholic Church seems to have completely lost its understanding of Islam and its inherent evil and danger, and sadly its foolish Marxist Pope leading his flock further astray.

      * Dialogue is a written or spoken conversational
exchange between TWO or more people.

All I ever see is Christianity (Christinsanity?)
and a significant vocal minority of ‘Jews’
      genuflecting and abasing themselves
      to murderous mohammedans.
It’s a ONE WAY STREET! Christianity
MAY be recognized in pakistan in the written law,
but in practice Christians are treated
      worse than dhimmis.

They are murdered at will, and one Pakistani
who had the temerity to speak up, was murdered,
and a vast throng turned out to CHEER
the islamic righteousness of his JIHADIST murderer.#
The evil ‘blasphemy laws’ are used as a stick
to beat Christians, while the equally evil ‘frank’,
not only looks the other way, he kisses the feet
of those who would cut his throat.

I hope there are many Christians,
      particularly Catholics, reading JW,
who can see the venal HYPOCRISY of
      the ‘pope’ (in name only),
the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops,
and all other congregations of supposedly ‘Christian’
ostriches, which fawnicate with Satan’s spawn.

      # Those ‘silent majority’ NEVER EVER turn out
to protest against ISIS, the Taliban, Boko Haram…
A few talking heads like cair proclaim ingenuously:
      “We protest against ALL violence
against innocents.” Nudge nudge, wink wink.

First, they infer that LESSER JIHADI murders
      are a fraction of all acts of violence on this planet;
second, they know that the umma only counts
      acts of ‘violence’ when directed against THEMSELVES;
third, ‘innocents’ can ONLY be mohammedans.

The majority of the women and chiildren killed in the Easter Sunday bombing in Lahoere, Pakistan, were Catholics. Shouldn’t this priest be explaining to his students why muslims, based on Islamic doctrine, are killing Catholics and other Chistians? There are two bishops of the Orthodox Church in Syria who have been kidnapped several years now and nothing is known of their fate. Shouldn’t he be interested in them and in thousands of Catholics who are living as refugees in the Kurdish region of Iraq, having been expelled from their homes by ISIS? Some of the villages where they are from have been liberated but they are afraid to return due to the attitudes of muslims there, the very ones who were their neighbors. These told ISIS where the Christian families lived and thus they were expelled from their homes. So much for peaceful musllims. They know what jihad is and the cooperate with it when it comes their way.

St. Petersburg, Florida is a very nice place to live; beautiful trees along the water, etc. Way too nice for a pack of lies from the moslim who belongs to terror sponsors and way too nice for lies to be propagated by someone who is just *making stuff up* in order to make himself look better.

Just one student: most likely a scarf-wearing moslim trouble-maker who wishes to help the lies along. Whatever happened to the schools doing what is best for the student body and not pander to one moslim?

However, St. Pete has for a very long time, been a place where the elderly have settled down. For years, the city was really quiet and a very nice place to go to the beach or just a drive along the bay.
moslims have changed much of every place they have invaded in large numbers. It’s just esp sad to see when it happens to such a nice, quiet city by the water.

The northern Coast of Libya, used to be nice too, when Rome was in control. Under Roman rule roads were well maintained and lined with olive trees as far as the eye could see. There were vast agricultural lands and green pastures. Travelers felt safe staying at inns along the way. People created wealth thru trade and a thriving economy and the safty provided by Roman hegemony.

Times were good until the Arab Muslims conquered and took over. Take a look at Libya today… What a waste land, much of the agricultural areas were ruined centuries ago due to negligence on the part of Muslims. This is the epitome of Islamic stewardship.

Let’s hope in a hundred years that Florida does not see the same fate as Libya.

    How dirty is Islam?

After the attack in Boston President Obama entered a Catholic Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston for an (INTERFAITH prayer service) and remembrance of Islam’s victims to show “solidarity”. Invited to speak was a Muslim.
Obama’s interfaith is not about Jews or Hindus etc.
It is all about inviting Muslims.

    Why in a Catholic Cathedral?
    Are Muslims so special?
Far be it that Catholics dare to mourn victims of Islam inside a Catholic Cathedral without including a mandatory (nothing to do with Islam) Muslim speaker.

That is how dirty and shameless Muslims and their collaborators are.

What a great opportunity. To lecture young people whose minds are plastic and able to learn so much. Some of the material that is presented is true, some is not, and the kids are unable to distinguish between them. What is needed at a school presentation is not an Islamic apologist alone, rather a debate between the Muslim and a person who can show convincingly that Islam is not a religion peace. Pam Geller is not that person. She comes on way too strong and would “turn off” too many people that are on the fence. Robert Spencer would be the ideal choice, but it is unlikely that any Muslim would be stupid enough to debate him.

This essay is in a literary form known as a “fisking”:
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Fisking ,
that is, a point-by-point refutation of someone else’s presentation.
Here, Pamela Geller comments, paragraph by paragraph, on a letter written by a school principal, Father Richard Rosin, of a Catholic high school in the Florida town of Saint Petersburg (formerly known as Leningrad). The format is “quote from Rosin, comment by Geller; quote from Rosin, comment by Geller; quote from Rosin, comment by Geller; …”. But as commenter Aton points out, in a fisking, the reader should have some easy way to distinguish the quotes from the comments, such as by indentation or different fonts. Unfortunately, that was not done here.

But the above photograph that the Islamic speaker Ahmed Bedier took and published will assure both Bedier and Father Rosin of the docility of the student body. None of the students shown in the first row are committing the mortal sin of isbaal.

5: 32. Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind. And indeed, there came to them Our Messengers with clear proofs, evidences, and signs, even then after that many of them continued to exceed the limits (e.g. by doing oppression unjustly and exceeding beyond the limits set by Allah by committing the major sins) in the land!.

    Bukhari :: Book 9 :: Volume 83 :: Hadith 6

The Prophet said, “The most hated persons to Allah are three: (1) A person who deviates from the right conduct, i.e., an evil doer, in the Haram (sanctuaries of Mecca and Medina); (2) a person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance, should remain in Islam (3) and a person who seeks to shed somebody’s blood without any right.”

MY ADVICE TO CATHOLICS BACK TO PATH OF JESUS:

THE MODERN CHRISTIANITY WAS CREATED PAUL(JEW)
Paul admits during his ministry, preaching his Paulinism (Christianity of today), he falsely acted in order to draw people to his faith. In the following passage he openly confesses that he used deception for conversion:

“Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.” – 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

Paul is confesses here that he acted as a Jew in order to convert them to his faith. He even acted as a pagan so that he can lure them to his religion. The above verse shows that Paul would go in great lengths to spread his religion by deception. Let’s see now what the experts have to say on the above passage.
    KILLING BLINDLY NON CHRISTIANS

Deuteronomy 13:6-9 “If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying: Let us go and worship other gods (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other, or gods of other religions), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people.”

Also let us look at Deuteronomy 17:3-5 “And he should go and worship other gods and bow down to them or to the sun or the moon or all the army of the heavens, …..and you must stone such one with stones and such one must die.”

This verse was sent to me by Yusif 65; may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him: 2 Chronicles 15:13 “All who would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, were to be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman.”

WHAT WAS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS?
“‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'” (Mark 12:29,30)
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” (Mathew 7:21)
We have understood that Christ had never taught the concept of Trinity. All that he did say was that it is only the One God who is to be worshipped. He had worked many a miracle But he never claimed that he had done these to prove that he was God or that he was one in a triple God-head. He had said, “I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father had taught me.” (John 8:28)

Jesus was, indeed, a great man. A man who had endured great sacrifices for the sake of the Israelites. For that reason itself he was, doubtless, great. But the Almighty who had appointed him is much greater still. This has been stated by Christ himself: “..the Father is greater than I.” (John 14:28) Here, Christ has struck at the very root of the Trinity doctrine which holds that the One God is essentially a combination of three equally powerful personalities: the father, the son and the holy ghost.

The most important gospel of Christ was this, ” ‘Worship the Lord, your God, and serve him only.'” (Mathew 4:10) Yes. It is only, the pure and holy Creator, the Sustainer of all life, who is to be worshipped. Krishna, Christ and the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) : all were creations; never the Creator. It is the Creator who is to be worshipped. The Almighty, All-Powerful Creator alone. This is the Gospel of Christ.

That which the Quran quotes from the words of Jesus is also the same message. “‘It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.'” (Quran 3:51)

Jesus had departed from this world conveying the news of the arrival of a great messenger from God who was to come after him. He said: “But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Pericletus will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement….

“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” (John 16:7-13)

The Pericletus prophesied by Jesus was born in Arabia. It was the prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who came confirming and attesting to the truth of the mission of Jesus, who taught the world concerning sin, truth, justice and law. Indeed, it was he who had guided the world unto all truth. The prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who had taught the etiquettes that were to be observed in all fields of life, was truly the follower of Christ as well as the last of the messengers. Islam is the religion that has been completed through him. He had exhorted the people to tread upon the path of Jesus and all the earlier prophets.

Accept, therefore, the prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the follower of Christ, as the messenger of God. Order life in accordance with the dictates of the Quran – the Divine book revealed to the world through him. That, and that alone, is the path to eternal salvation.

More the ham head denied the death and resurrection of Christ, and His divinity. That is no follower.
In essence, More called Christ a liar, and declared Him a prophet. Apparently in islam one must be a liar to be a prophet.
      Allah is Satan.

And the risen and glorified Jesus–who while on earth said, “Before Abraham was, I AM (John 8:58–thus identifying himself with YHWH who spoke to Moses from the burning bush) knew exactly what he was doing when he knocked Paul down on the road to Damascus and turned him from an enemy to perhaps the most powerful advocate ever.

Sham, if you want to turn Jesus against Paul, it won’t work. The Silly ‘Sixties and Sillier ‘Seventies ended long ago; even if too many of their dupes are in positions of power today.

Let us have a bit of honesty.
Just because the self-serving Muhammad inserted himself like an unwelcomed guest does not mean he was a follower of Christ. He was far from it, which is easily shown by the disgraceful life he lived.

the pope has 79 million reasons to continue kissing the feet of muslims, and to order his minions to do the same: http://www.nowtheendbegins.com/catholic-church-paid-79-million-by-obama-administration-to-force-migrant-invasion/ and that was in 2014, think that dollar amount has grown? but, of course the catholic church has upwards of $3 billion to pay in settlement fees for child abuse cases, so keep kissing!

BRAVO PAMELA!!! There’s something very sick going on in this world. All over Europe and America we find Muslims barging in – who lets their future murderers into their nation knowing that they will rape, torture and murder their citizens? And now my Church is doing the same thing – sick! People send their kids to religious schools so they will learn about their religion and get a better education than public schools provide. They don’t want them indoctrinated by Muslims.

all moslems are not terrorists BUT THEY ARE JIHADISTS and jihad, 97% of the time it is mentioned is to do aggressive politics and to war against non-moslems. Even their daily salat denigrates and bashes us. Jihad can be any and all strategies of war – deception, propaganda, funding (part of their zakat is required to fund violent jihad), emigration (to build up their numbers so as to become a political force and also to increase violent jihad against us), etc.

The clergy and teachers should be totally ashamed of themselves but it starts at the top and the Pope, Cardinals and Bishops are just as much a problem of misinformation as the priests, nuns and teachers are.

All are terrorists should be ” all are potential terrorists.” If I had a child in that school they would immediately pulled out and see what could be legally done to go after them as enabling terrorists.

Antipope Francis and his Vatican II sect are not Catholic. True, that is traditional, Catholics have zero respect for Islam and the Catholic Church wants the extermination of the diabolical sect of the reprobate and faithless Mahomet.
