Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Iran: We designed our missiles to hit Israel from a safe distance

Apr 4, 2016 7:03 pm By Robert Spencer

That is a clear declaration of war. And at the same time they warned the U.S. to back off and remember who’s boss.

Iran missile

“Iranian military official warns US: Stay away from Iran’s red lines,” Jerusalem Post, April 4, 2016:

Iran warned the US on Monday that any attempt to encroach on the Islamic Republic’s ballistic missile program would constitute the crossing of a “red line.”

“The US calculations about the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation are fully incorrect,” Iranian Deputy Chief of Staff Brig-Gen Maassoud Jazzayeri was quoted by the Fars News Agency as saying.

“The White House should know that defense capacities and missile power, specially at the present juncture where plots and threats are galore, is among the Iranian nation’s red lines and a backup for the country’s national security and we don’t allow anyone to violate it,” Jazzayeri said.

Jazzayeri accused US President Barack Obama of making vows and breaking them by saying removal of sanctions on Iran would be conditioned on the Islamic Republic halting its ballistic missile program.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) test-fired two ballistic missiles last month that it said were designed to be able to hit Israel, defying a threat of new sanctions from the United States.

The launches followed the test-firing of several missiles as part of a major military exercise that the IRGC says is intended to “show Iran’s deterrent power and… ability to confront any threat”.

The IRGC fired two Qadr missiles from northern Iran which hit targets in the southeast of the country 1,400 kms (870 miles) away, Iranian agencies said. The nearest point in Iran is around 1,000 km from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

“The reason we designed our missiles with a range of 2000 km is to be able to hit our enemy the Zionist regime from a safe distance,” Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh was quoted as saying by the ISNA agency….

“The arms shipment appears to mark the latest provocative action from the defiant Islamic republic, which reported last month that it tested missiles marked with the phrase “Israel must be wiped out.” And on Monday, the Iranian government warned the U.S. to butt out of trying to control its missile program. “The White House should know that defense capacities and missile power, specially at the present juncture where plots and threats are galore, is among the Iranian nation’s red lines… and we don’t allow anyone to violate it,” Deputy Chief of Staff Brig-Gen Maassoud Jazzayeri told state media.”

” last month that it tested missiles marked with the phrase “Israel must be wiped out.” ”

What is Obama going to do?Agree that Israel must be wiped out?

The cowardly rambunctious Mullahs will find out the hard way that there’s no “safe distance” from a devastating Israeli counter strike, in the unlikely event they make good on their empty juvenile threats to the awesome Jewish nation.

If western leaders had known that Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” was effectively a blueprint for and promise of what he would do to Europe and Jews, would they have acted to “neutralize: him?

Iran has promised to “…wipe Israel off the map”, and they now tell us they have the capability to do just that…where’s the action to “neutralize” Iran?

If western leaders had known that Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” was effectively a blueprint for and promise of what he would do to Europe and Jews, would they have acted to “neutralize: him?

What makes you think that “western leaders” – each informed and advised by a diplomatic service and secret services – did not at least suspect that Hitler was serious, especially as limited euthanasia programs got underway in the late 1930s?

After World War II, would Allied governments publicly admit that they had been in possession of damning (and by then, highly embarrassing) information early on? Are you aware that the New York Times decided to sit on information regarding the incipient Holocaust? (The UK Telegraph was the first newspaper to publish the information.)

Remember that open anti-semitism and class conceit was endemic in international “polite” society before World War II, and eugenics and even euthanasia had become very popular causes among progressive “elites” throughout the West by the 1920s. The annihilationist mindset never quite went away and remains – advocated less openly but no less fervently – to this day.

The actual events of WW II show that Western powers made NO EFFORTS WHATEVER to interfere with the smooth operation of National Socialist death camps – e.g. by targeted bombing.

There may have been sound reasons from a purely military perspective for the Allies to prioritize other strategies and operations, but the common belief that the war was fought to put an end to the Holocaust is a postwar myth.

        Apr 5, 2016 at 10:49 am

Yes, eugenics was going merrily along in the US in that time period. I think you’re right, and recently some quotes from Churchill stated they were fighting the war for economic reasons; they didn’t want Germany to have an isolated economy.

    • Larry says

      Apr 5, 2016 at 3:52 am

Why do you expect people like Churchill, Beaverbrook, Stevenson, et al began to take the actions they did in 1934.

They’d read Mein Kampf and were keeping a close eye on happenings in Germany, but the same sort of head in the sand idiots that keep telling us that “islam is a religion of peace” were in power and working very had at ignoring the Nazis and their stated objectives.

This quote from Iranian Deputy Chief of Staff Brig-Gen Maassoud Jazzayeri is an interesting example of creative writing in English, probably by a native speaker of Farsi rather than the product of machine translation. Noteworthy features include (1) “specially” rather than “especially”, (2) “galore” used an an ordinary adjective meaning “numerous”, (3) “red lines”, a term of vague meaning, (4) subject-verb agreement of “capacities is among”.

“The reason we designed our missiles with a range of 2000 km is to be able to hit our enemy the Zionist regime from a safe distance..” – Iranian Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh

Islamists, particularly, the Ayatollah and Shiites of the IRGC, are extraordinarily delusional. There is no safe distance from Israel.

Much of Israel could be destroyed with a few nuclear devices but it would spell doom for Iran beginning with Tehran, Qom and all the rest of the larger cities. There would be no reason to even bother with the nuclear sites, the nuclear bombing of 100 or more cities causing the loss of perhaps 1/2 of the total population, 35 of 77 million – 70 times the human cost of the 8 years war with Iraq.

Only a delusional Islamist country, with nutcase leaders, could consider losing half of its population to inflict 1/10 as much unnecessary destruction on a supposed enemy.

The ME Muslim countries are incredibly dishonest, justifying the destruction of Israel with the Palestinian problem while refusing to take the “palestinian refugees” in. The naked truth is the hatred of Israel cones directly from Islam’s ideology.

It would be a fatal mistake to start an attempted annihilation of Israel without realizing it will have doomsday scenario plans for its response.

That sounds to me like an accurate description of Iran!

Consider – only a complete nutcase could deliberately blow himself up to inflict death and injury on supposed enemies. But it happens every week. And guess what these splodydopes have in common with the Iranian leader?

Iran has said many times in the past that they do not care about losing most of their population if they can get rid of Israel via nuclear weapons.

When these monsters say “safe distance” they mean themselves and their families, not the people of Iran, who are forced to sacrifice their needs for Hamas’ jihad.

Yes, and the ‘Zionist Regime’ can send Iran back to the stone age many times over if the latter makes a serious attempt to destroy it with its missiles. But unlike Iran, Israel doesn’t threaten and doesn’t brag about what it’s got. Who do you think is smarter?

By engaging in this “test firing” of such missiles, last month, those mullahs and ayatollahs along those other Muslim villains in power in this tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran their total arrogant contempt for the US and the other Western nations in this so called “deal.” Those Muslim clerics and other Muslim tyrants in power in this cruel and oppressive Islamic tyranny are, in character, reflected in the Bible in Psalm 73:6-9. Which reads, “Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their mind know limits. They scoff and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.” [N.I.V.]

That’s funny, Iran accuses Obama of being a liar. Of course he is! He’s one of the biggest liars on the planet. But the Muslim’s sacred books allow forgiveness for lying as long as it furthers their cause. It might be the only religion that thinks lying is justifiable. Iran has shown how honest they are by thumbing their nose at the agreement they made. Obama belongs in Iran, they would be kindred spirits.

There’s no morality here with Islãm.
It is war on all of the levels, weapons, lies, breeding soldiers and rapees for Allah,
and unlike the Infidels, Islãm is one for all,
and i’m not sure about the all for one.
But they are more together as a working evil whole.
    Just saying.

If the Jews are seen as separate by the rest of the infidel world then the Infidel world is being divided, in small ways, and also now maybe in a massive way.
It is also, apart from aught else, giving credence to Islãm’s bullying, by allowing the bully to bully in full view of all. Islãm is like, or is, a narcissistic bully, and it will not stop with the bullying of the Jews.
    Just saying.
