Still more evidence that Pakistan is not an ally and has not been for years — as if any more were needed.
“ISI controlled Osama bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound: Book,” PTI, April 28, 2016:
WASHINGTON: The Abbottabad hideout of Osama bin Laden was under ISI control and a Pakistan Army doctor treated the most dreaded terrorist in the world before he was killed in a daring raid by US commandos in 2011, according to a new book.
In fact, the doctor Amir Aziz, of the rank of major, who lived in a compound near bin Laden’s hideout in Abbottabad, was rewarded by the CIA with a share of the $25 million bounty the US had put up because a DNA sample had conclusively proved the al-Qaeda leader’s identity.
In his latest book, ‘The Killing of Osama bin Laden’, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh claims that ISI got hold of bin Laden in 2006 after paying bribes to some of the tribal leaders. At the time he was said to be very ill.
“Early on in his confinement at Abbottabad, the ISI had ordered Amir Aziz, a doctor and a major in the Pakistani army, to move nearby to provide treatment,” Hersh claims, basing his account on a conversation he had with an unidentified retired Pakistan Army official.
And all this while the Pakistani leadership in particular the army chief and ISI boss repeatedly told the US that they did not know the whereabouts of bin Laden.
“It’s understood in Washington that elements of the ISI believe that maintaining a relationship with the Taliban leadership inside Afghanistan is essential to national security. The ISI’s strategic aim is to balance Indian influence in Kabul….

They gave him up for money. And it came from the USA- we the people! Money well spent. Yet it disgusts me at the same time. We need to get rid of our “friends” in the ME, except Israel.

They gave him up for money.
So what? As a sworn enemy with world takeover program Moslems are the most intractable enemy. We could turn fascists and communists against their own using a variety of techniques, but Moslems have a solidarity and unreliability never before seen. It’s good that at least we can buy a double agent with money. But even that’s questionable. My take is that Dr Aziz was given the nod to go ahead and take the payoff cuz by that point it made sense for the Paks to rid themselves of a major liability in Osama. Then the ISI guys stole the CIA millions (aka U.S. taxpayer dollars) from the doc and put him into the slammer to keep their Sunni allies happy.

Pornistan is the worst fake friend a country could have and the biggest consumer of pornography of all countries. Whose side is Pakistan on? The side of undercover jihad, of course.
Even the local people in the neighborhood surrounding OBL’s compound suspected it was a safe house for terrorists maintained by the intelligence. No one was fooled that much. They just didn’t know for sure the identities of those inside. They lived there five years.
Is Pornistan our friend? If you can say no, join me in asking they be defunded immediately.

We don’t need Sy Hersh to know about Pakistan. Certainly Pakistan, or “elements of the ISI” (like there are innocent elements elsewhere in the ISI) knew all about where Bin Laden was, if not had put him in captivity there in 2006, as Hersh alleges. He says the Saudis knew and paid for his upkeep. He says it was actually a high-ranking ISI man who turned Bin Laden in, for the reward money. He says the Pakistan Army and the ISI knew in advance about the U.S. raid on the compound. Well, maybe. It’s hit or miss with Hersh. Problem is Hersh is notorious for falling for hoaxers (ex. the phony cooked-up sources in his JFK book); for using other unnamed and maybe non-existant sources; and for his vicious biases–against Israel, for instance, where Hersh is prone to making dark insinuations about “Jewish money” and Israeli conspiracies behind every bush (or Bush).

Pakistan has been carrying out proxy war with India since its inception. It is a nuclear power now with USA as one of its foremost allies. The latest of its terror activities being the one on Pathankot Air Base killing three of our armed forces personnel. How long will the international community turn a blind eye to Pakistan’s illicit role in the so called ‘fighting terrorism’ rhetoric. It itself is a terrorist state. And we all know how democratic values are upheld in Pakistan. Military coup is the natural order of things in Pakistan.
The west and all the other sane democracies including India talk so much about human rights, freedom of religion, freedom of expression etc. I am sorry, where in Saudi Arabia do you find even a single one of those principles? And still Modi, Obama and brethren goes and visits Saudi time and again. When will our leaders grow some balls and start calling spade a spade?

What’s new.
Pakistan ,Iran and Saudi Arabia axis of Evil.
Notice something about the 3,they are I—— Countries.
Note the article says Pakistan is using USA in its fight against India and the US administration lets them do so that Pakistan can check on the Taliban. But today the Taliban are kings and Pakistan is their friend.
So what was the point of so many dead Americans ( and others ) in Afganistan?
At least with North Korea and Zimbabwe they do not go into mass terrorism.

“Pakistan should never have existed, it has cost more lives than the whole of the British Army in 200 years…what should I think of a culture that burns down the British Council Library in Lahore because an English publisher printed a picture of Mahomet? Fanaticism plus Machiavellianism plus brutality equals Islamic Pakistan.”

I;ve said it before & I’ll say it again, ad infinitum: Pakistan has produces some of the worst anti-western types. I ran into one who was an official in my large-city county government, and his daughter was a local Assistant State Attorney. Some years ago, the father hosted a large gathering of Muslim members of the local business community. My family members & a friend attended as we were concerned that upstanding members of the local Muslim community might be harassed or worse in the post-9/11 political environment. However, true to traitorous form, guess who was there in all their undisguised virulent hatred? None other than CAIR–if looks could have killed my guests and I would have been killed outright. I am sick of the benign freedoms of the West and especially the USA being used by these and other hateful vermin to undermine & eventually destroy the best thing that ever happened to humanity other than the Judeo Christian tradition–our beautiful, beleaguered United States of America.

Regardless of how much knowledge ISI had or didn’t have about Laden’s compound hideout there can be no doubt that Osama bin Laden was grinning on that day of September 11, 2001 when he received news of that murderous affront on humankind and America, being such an evil and vile character that he was. Bin Laden when he found out that his demonic scheme worked all he could do was sit around a grin. That Islamic fiend Bin Laden that no sympathy or empathy all for all the people who died the awful way in America. For he was actually glad about that murderous jihad calamity that occurred that day of 9/11. To such a callousness of that character as Bin Laden the Bible teaches “He who is glad calamity will not go unpunished.” Proverbs 17:5. For that’s just what happened. For as they say “What goes around comes around.” So when his deadly violence came back on him in his compound on the outskirts of Abbottabad he was no longer grinning. For on the day the heroic Navy SEAL’s exterminated him, the report was that he looked confused and scared. Likewise the Bible teaches “For whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” Galatians 6;7. Bin Laden sowed violence and death so therefore he reaped violence and death. The very words of Jesus thus are proven be to be true. For Jesus taught the “He who takes up the sword shall perish by the sword.” Matthew 26:52. For Bin laden took up the firearm and he died by the firearm Osama bin Laden is now suffering in the fire of hell. May the name of Osama bin Laden rot in history. As the Bible teaches “The name of the wicked shall rot.” Proverbs 10:7.

Is Pakistan Islamic? What more did we need to know regarding alliances? But it is interesting to have confirmation of just how intimately they were involved in sustaining the SOB. Who didn’t believe they knew he was there? Now we know they put him there and that answers a lot of questions regarding our difficulty locating him. LOVE THE SEALS.

I take a lot of what Seymour Hersh says with a big grain of salt. He is a committed peddler of Left-wing conspiracy theories about the very sinister inner workings of official Washington (the great enemy of all goodness, the peaceloving people of the world, progress, and enlightenment blahblahblahblah). If it’s only Seymour Hersh saying that Bin Laden’s Abbottabad compound was run by Pakistani intellience, I’ll withhold judgment until other sources confirm it, even if OBL’s presence in Abbottabad raises plenty of red flags about our supposed Pakistani ally.
Dean says
You are right about distrusting this author but the story fits together so many unanswered questions about how he got there, was obviously known by them to be there and so hard for our intelligence to locate. This story I frankly want to believe but never stake my life and reputation on anything I can’t verify personally.
