Not against, say, jihad terrorism.
“Saudis act against anti-Islamic footballer haircuts,” AFP, April 10, 2016:
Saudi sports authorities are taking action against footballer hairstyles deemed to be anti-Islamic in the ultra-conservative kingdom, local media reported.
A video posted online on Friday showed one player being given a last-minute haircut before a fixture to comply with Saudi Football Federation guidelines.
The video shows a referee using scissors to remove a small mohawk at the front of his head before allowing him onto the pitch.
The head of the kingdom’s youth organisation Tuesday asked its sport federations and Olympic committee to “ban the qazaa phenomenon”, using an Arabic name for eccentric styles often sported by footballers, the website www.arriyadiyah.com reported.
Such haircuts are against Islam and Saudi traditions, one commentator wrote in the newspaper Al-Jazirah on Friday, urging the football federation to “impose sanctions” on offending players whose “bizarre haircuts are imitated by their fans in schools”….

Where in that book of hate, supported by Eastern Canada purchase of Saudi oil, does it dictate haircuts?

The youth will no doubt rebel. It’s common in Islamic countries to ban music, films, haircuts, dancing…virtually everything that young people want…innocently and harmlessly in most cases.
The young will inevitably reject the rulers’ interpretation of Islam and probably Islam itself.
The next generation of Muslims will be less Muslim as a result.

This is a good example of how Islam reduces freedom and wants to control every aspect of human life. As to what will happen in the future, I am absolutely certain that I haven’t a clue.

This just goes to show the extent of control in an islamic state. It’s not a safety issue for the sport, these haircuts, it’s because they’re un-islamic. This is islam’s deformed morality, where blowing yourself up to kill innocents is heroic but long hair is unacceptable. Beating women, raping kids in forced marriages, killing for apostasy, cutting infidel throats for religion, perfectly fine for allah, it’s all in a day’s work.
I think we can live without their religious dementia, don’t you?
Ban the mosques! that’s where they teach this filth!
Bill says
Not to worry, this will not improve their football – even with Allah’s loving approval. Soon enough though players from Europe who play in or teams that visit there to play will be forced to comply. Just watch and see.

A lot of Islamic critics tend to attack and criticize Islam because its Shariah Law is strict. I agree that Islam is very strict when it comes to justice, but why complain and argue about something that will not affect you? Who are the people that should complain about Shariah Law? They are the people who are going to be affected by it; they are the ones who should be complaining. Who are the people who are going to be affected by it? It’s those rapists, drug dealers, murderers, thieves, armed robbers, fornicators, adulterers, slanderers, drunkards, party animals, etc. that are going to be affected by this law. Are you one of them? If you are, then you better change your ways because you have no right to be like this in the first place. If you are not, then why complain?
People might go and say, “Well we are born sinners, we have to sin.” But that is no excuse. I can’t go to court and tell the judge that I was born a sinner. We all make small mistakes. We all make minor sins. But in Shariah Law there are no punishments for minor sins, but for major sins. There is no excuse for us to commit major sins.
Islam not comic/entertainment/ play and amusement
5:57. O you who believe! Take not for Auliyâ’ (protectors and helpers) those who take your religion for a mockery and fun from among those who received the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before you, nor from among the disbelievers; and fear Allâh if you indeed are true believers.
6: 70. And leave alone those who take their religion as play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But remind (them) with it (the Qur’ân) lest a person be given up to destruction for that which he has earned, when he will find for himself no protector or intercessor besides Allâh, and even if he offers every ransom, it will not be accepted from him.
7: 51. “Who took their religion as an amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them.” So this Day We shall forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to reject Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.).
20: 16. We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play .
17. Had We intended to take a pastime (i.e. a wife or a son, etc.), We could surely have taken it from Us, if We were going to do (that).
44: 38. And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play,
39. We created them not except with truth (i.e. to examine and test those who are obedient and those who are disobedient and then reward the obedient ones and punish the disobedient ones), but most of them know not.
40. Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allâh will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them,
41. The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive,

This is, of course, ludicrous, and coming from a spammer who not that long ago stated that sharia was just. It was just a couple or so of weeks ago, and now is very strict? I could write a great deal on how wrong he is, but I believe it it boils down to a single question: can you, sham, assure us that anyone convicted under sharia is in fact guilty? Because if you chop the hand, gouge an eye or kill someone who turns out to be innocent, how is that just? Especially on a system where word of mouth counts more than science and deduction. Don’t believe me? Fine. Take rape, for example. Under sharia, and in order to prove she was raped, a woman needs to present four male witnesses saying she was, in fact, raped. And they need to be four male witnesses that witnessed the rape, not four specialists who analysed forensic evidence and concluded she was raped. What happens if the woman can’t provide four male witnesses? She’s accused of sex outside marriage, a crime punishable by stoning under sharia. But, according to sham, if I were to say that the penalty for adultery under sharia is unfair, them I must be wanting to have sex outside marriage and I need to change my ways. Meanwhile, the woman who tried to bring her attacker(s) to justice gets killed, her attacker(s) walk away scot-free looking for the next victim and sham sits in the background, clapping and saying “well, it’s strict but she should know better than to have sex outside marriage – sharia is just”.
Why complain? Because, unlike you, you soulless ghoul, I feel empathy and I care about justice.
“People might go and say, âWell we are born sinners, we have to sin.â But that is no excuse. I canât go to court and tell the judge that I was born a sinner.”
This is a misrepresentation of the Christian concept of original sin. I know of no one who tried to defend themselves in court by saying “well, I was born a sinner, and sinners gonna sin”.
“We all make small mistakes. We all make minor sins. But in Shariah Law there are no punishments for minor sins, but for major sins.”
Citation needed. Do tell, sham, which sins have no punishment under sharia. Is being raped a major sin? Because sharia law can kill a woman for being raped. How about being born a woman? That must be a major sin in sharia law.

Non-islamic countries criminalize things that islamic countries don’t. Such as child marriages, paedophilia, abuse of women, slavery, etc. Plus, in an civilized, non-islamic (but I repeat myself) country a citizen has a fair expectation of getting justice. How many crimes in islamic countries go unreported because the victims fear for their life if they report it?

Sham wonders why non-Muslims should be concerned about Sharia Law when it doesn’t impact them. Actually, non-Muslims are impacted in two ways: 1) I cannot be free if my brother is not free. Muslims, particularly the women, are second class citizens and are burdened by Sharia Law. Equal rights belong to all.
2) Sharia Law directly impacts non-Muslims in the following ways:
a) Muslim employees demand prayer dispensations where non-Muslims have to cover for their absence;
b) Muslim taxi drivers refuse to carry passengers with dogs or alcoholic beverages; c) Muslims demand foot baths and prayer rooms at airports and universities, all paid for by the taxpayers; d) Muslim health workers refuse to use sanitation gels and other precautions which result in exposing people to infections; e) Freedom of speech is denied when Muslims are offended by legitimate criticism of Islam and Sharia Law and threaten or take legal action; f) Muslim refusal to cooperate with law enforcement exposes Americans to terror treats, often starting from within their own community.
