A man accused of murdering a Muslim shopkeeper in Glasgow admitted last night that he had killed him.
Quoting the Koran, Tanveer Ahmed said in a statement issued through his lawyer that he killed the shopkeeper because he claimed to be a prophet, not because of his conciliatory attitude towards Christians, as had been suggested.
Asad Shah, 40, was killed after posting an Easter message to Christians on Facebook.
