There is a concerted effort among “Palestinians” and their supporters to erase all evidence of the historical connection of Jews to Israel. The UN, controlled by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, is a willing partner in these efforts. Besides being motivated by Islamic Jew-hatred, this endeavor is in line with the Islamic supremacist tendency to appropriate the holy places and sacred figures of other religions.
“UNESCO Renames Western Wall ‘Al-Buraq Plaza,’” by Adam Eliyahu Berkowitz, Breaking Israel News, April 17, 2016 (thanks to Janice):
On Friday, the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization’s (UNESCO) Executive Board in Paris adopted a resolution erasing Israel’s ties to the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.
The UNESCO resolution referred to the Temple Mount area solely as the Al-Aqsa Mosque or Al-Haram Al Sharif, ignoring the Jewish claim to the site.
The resolution called Israel “the occupying power” and the Western Wall as Al-Buraq Plaza. It demanded that Israel not restrict Muslim access to the Temple Mount, condemning Israel for “illegal measures against the freedom of worship” at the “Muslim holy site of worship”. It demanded a return to the “status quo”. The status quo since Israel conquered the Temple Mount in 1967 forbids non-Muslim prayer on the Temple Mount and has remained unchanged.
Blaming “Israel aggression” for the violence at the site, it had no mention of the role of Muslim rioters.
It also condemned the Israel’s plans to establish an egalitarian, non-Orthodox prayer section by Robinson’s Arch.
It accused Israel of “planting Jewish fake graves in other spaces of the Muslim cemeteries” located on Waqf property east and south of the Temple Mount, and of “the continued conversion of many Islamic and Byzantine remains into the so-called Jewish ritual baths or into Jewish prayer places.”.
It referred to Hebron and Bethlehem as solely “Palestinian sites”.
Authorized by the executive board’s Programme and External Relations Commission, the resolution was submitted by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, and Sudan. The 58-member board approved the resolution with 33 votes in favor, six against and 17 abstentions. Two countries, Ghana and Turkmenistan were absent all together. Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the US voted against the resolution. France, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia and Slovenia were among those countries that supported the resolution.
Israeli ambassador to UNESCO, Carmel Shama, released a statement saying, “Even if UNESCO passes dozens of resolutions, and decides to continue passing thousands more, Jerusalem will always remain as part of the capital of Israel and the Jewish people.” Shama added, “As you continue on this path of incitement, lies and terror you will be sending UNESCO down a path towards irrelevance.”
“This is yet another absurd UN decision,” Netanyahu said Saturday. “UNESCO ignores the unique historic connection of Judaism to the Temple Mount, where the two temples stood for a thousand years and to which every Jew in the world has prayed for thousands of years. The UN is rewriting a basic part of human history and has again proven that there is no low to which it will not stoop.”

“France, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, and Russia” supported a resolution that pretends that Jews never had any historic presence to or authority over the **Temple Mount in Jerusalem**.
Well, we can assume that France, Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia, all of whom have a Christian past and a practising Christian presence within their countries, are prepared to burn all those New Testaments in which there is very clearly a **Jewish** Temple on the Mount in Jerusalem? Or state publicly that the writers of the New Testament got it wrong and that Yehoshuah of Nazareth (born in Bethlehem in Judaea, of the tribe of Yehudah, and raised in a village in the Galilee) was not a Jew, not a man of Israel, but rather, an Arab Muslim and that there was no Temple on the Mount but, rather, a bl**dy Muslim mosque???
And they’re going to have to tell all the Christians in their country to stop reciting the Psalms…
Psalm 122.
“I was glad when they said unto me: Let us go into the house of the LORD.
“Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
“Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together.
“Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.
“For there are set thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
“Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within they palaces.
“For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.
“**Because of the house of the LORD our God** I will seek thy good.”
Righto, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Spain, and France – yes, you, O France, who were once called the eldest daughter of the church – WHAT IS THIS PSALM TALKING ABOUT? And when was it written and sung?… Answer: CENTURIES before the hideous death-cult of Islam was ever invented out of whole cloth; *centuries* indeed a thousand years at least before mohammed was ever spawned, and a thousand years *before* Muslim Arabs violently attacked and conquered Byzantine ‘Palestine’ which the Jews had known for millennia as Eretz Yisroel, Land of Israel.
And what are they going to do about all the archaeological data that *does* exist, and the pre-Islamic *historical* accounts by Josephus and by others?
UNESCO has gone mad.
They have endorsed bloody Arab Muslim BULLSHIT and pretended that it takes priority over historical fact and archaeological fact.
Their brains have turned to sh*t.
As for Russia: Jew hatred has always poisoned and crippled their society. Spain is pretty sick, too. Sweden is sick.
Jew-hatred is a deadly sickness and those who voted for this resolution are *sick*. Or else they are scared sh*tless of all the crazy-mad Mohammedans they have stupidly allowed to colonise and now dominate their countries.
dumbledoresarmy says
The *Muslim* members of UNESCO, who proposed this insane resolution in the first place, are sick with Islam, which is virulently Jew-hating.
Those *non-Muslim* members of UNESCO who cravenly voted *with* the crazed BS-artist mohammedans, are sick with Jew-hatred also… and sick with Dhimmitude, sick with fear of the Mohammedan Mob. A disgusting spectacle: once-proud Infidel nations denying *history*, denying science – archaeology – and blindly grovelling to and echoing the nonsense-and-lies of the Mohammedan Mob.

Yep, Western Wall was always wrong, the only debate though should be between it being called the Kotel or probably the more correct Kosel.
kangi_nunpa says
marc, you’re wrong on both counts.
In Hebrew, it’s הכתל המערבי Ha-Kotel ha-Ma’aravi, literally the Western Wall. “Wailing wall” was always wrong – but it’s decidedly the Western wall, specifically the western retaining wall built by Herod during his expansion of the mountain.
The pronunciation ‘kosel’ is Ashkenazi, generally used in Yiddish. According to Israeli Hebrew, it’s incorrect; the ת is always a ‘t’ sound in Israeli Hebrew.

The exact same thing happened last year in Kosovo when their muslim government filed the UNESCO claim for all remaining medieval Serbian orthodox churches and monuments as their own, after they already destroyed and desecrated hundreds of them (now only about a dozen or so remain). Luckily, that ludicrous claim was BARELY denied by a SINGLE vote. But they’ll try again this year.

Kepha says
President Reagan took us out of UNESCO back in 1984 as a protest against its fiercely pro-Communist and anti-Western stance. In 2003, under Bush II, we rejoined. In 2013, we cut off our funding of UNESCO in protest of its recognition of “Palestine” as a full member; and thus lost voting rights in the organization. I am not surprised at France’s stance here. It is following its secularist-socialist conscience fully, since a denial of the Jewish presence in Jerusalem’s identity and archaeological record is as well an uprooting of that city’s Christian identity and presence (and Christianity has been the prime target of the Western radical tradition since the French philosophes of the 18th century).
Back in the waning years of the Cold War, there was even talk of a separate international organization for countries with limited, multi-party governments; chiefly because there was a virtually unbreakable bloc of Soviet satellites and client states that invariably worked against US interests.
Frankly, as far as I’m concerned, UNESCO exists to employ a handful of bureaucrats and lots of Left-wing people of “kulchah” who can’t sell what they’re writing. Given the Leftist rot infecting most public educational systems across the globe and in the media, it should be expected that UNESCO will reflect this orientation. Now that Muslims are both a Leftist client group in the West and have a large bloc of countries in the UNO (and hence in UNESCO), it should be expected that UNESCO will be one more instrument of the Red-Green unholy alliance.
It is a fine old tradition on the American right to bash the UN and the various agencies under its aegis. While I would not pull out, since I see the UN as a useful forum in which to air international disputes, I see all attempts to make the UN a kind of world federal government ill-advised, foolish, and–due to its being structured along the lines of representative democracy–simply an invitation to the best organized bloc or coalition of blocs to give themselves a moral authority they do not have and international clout that they do not deserve. We have seen that done ever since it was agreed that the Soviet Union would have three votes in the General Assembly (Russia, Ukraine, Belo-Russia) as a compromise with its original insistence on 15; and it has gone downhill since then. Indeed, by giving first totalitarian Marxism-Leninism a large voice in an institution initially designed to further a liberal world order, and now allowing the same with Islam, the UNO in all of its aspects is a self-subverting entity; and apart from its role as an international forum, seldom advantageous to the national interests of the United States.
While we’re at it, the anti-Jihad movement would do well to also press for an increased de-centralization of education in all countries where it is active and for stronger protections for freedom of speech. It should also use whatever room a given country’s constitution gives to free exercise of religion to press for the free exercise of Christianity, Judaism, and other non-Islamic faiths and their access to the public square.

The Dome of the Rock was built on a cleared rubbish dump by Caliph Abd al Malik and completed in 691. It is the solid evidence that Abd al Malik created Islam out of Arab folk religion and other elements of neighboring religions in Syria and Persia. The shrine of Abd al Malik has nearly the same dimensions as the dome of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Mohammed was later said to have risen into heaven on an ass at that spot, thus giving it authority additional authority. However, the site of Mohammed’s ascent was at the ‘farther mosque’, which denotes TWO mosques, such as the summer and winter shrines of Hubal or Dhu Shara at Petra and Mount Seir.
The Arabs, however, didn’t want Jerusalem to be the hub of Islam, because they had always worshipped Hubal and Allat at Mount Seir and in Petra. What to do? Abd al Malik then created a new Kaaba in Mecca (where it had never been). This ensured the religious capital of Mecca wouldn’t be captured, since it was in the middle of the desert and hard to reach.
All the hubbub about Mohammed leaping off of the Rock of Mount Moriah is hogwash created after Abd al Malik by his successors. There was never a mosque on Mount Moriah until after Mohammed had been dead many years.
The Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa are trumped up conflations of confusing, contradictory fables fabricated in the first 250 years after Mohammed. It is impossible to authenticate any story about Mohammed.

The Islamic Evidence

VOICE OF INDIA
NEW DELHI
VOICE OF INDIA published in April 1991 Volume I of a projected series – Hindu Temples: What Happened to Them.
It was a collection of relevant articles by Arun Shourie, Harsh Narain, Jay Dubashi, Ram Swarup, and myself. An important part of the volume was a list of 2000 Muslim monuments built on the sites and/or with the materials of Hindu temples. This list became famous all over the country as soon as it came out.
Meanwhile, the evidence I had collected regarding Islamic iconoclasm could already cover several, and much bigger volumes.
VOICE OF INDIA published in May, 1991 Volume II of the series.
It was devoted exclusively to Islamic evidence, historical as well theological. It was received very well, particularly by the world of scholarship. Only the prestigious newspapers and periodicals in this country ignored it completely; they did not even acknowledge it in their Books Received column.
But an extensive review written by the Belgian scholar, Koenraad Elst, was published by VOICE OF INDIA in 1992 under the title Negationism in India: Concealing the Record of Islam.

Hatred of Jews is enshrined in the Quran and man-made laws are haraam. These countries are not Democratic. Israel is the only real democracy in the region. This is just another OIC slam of Israel. At least the US and other democracies voted against the resolution.
UNESCO has 2000 employees, not volunteers, employees! This is UN-ESCO, a UN organization, showing clearly what a bloated political back-stabbing den of robbers the UN has become. This is where third world despots come to criticise democracy, play major powers against each other, and extort money. The US should send it to Brussels and raze the building.
The next request I get from a UN “charity” is going in the trash.

Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. Many verses have seen fulfillment in this *generation.* Many more will be soon.
Ezekiel foretold a time when the nations of “gog” would gather on the borders of Israel, seeing the “wealth” at “the center of the earth” and choose to invade in order to “take much spoil”….translate: to war against and steal. (There is a spot in Jerusalem known as the “center of the earth”.)
Ezekiel, chapters 37 through 39 have extreme importance to the time in which we are living. One of the nations named as being with gog is Persia. Persia, as most here know, is Iran.
We are soon to see this advancing of gog and his crowd of evil armies against Israel. Read the chapters for the outcome of the war. History written in advance, and no moslim nation or moslim loving/fearing nation, can change it. This prophecy will come to pass and this shortly.
