Pope: “I dream of a Europe where being a migrant is not a crime”

Ahmad al-Mohammed and one other of the jihadis who murdered 130 people in Paris in November 2015 had just entered Europe as refugees.

In February 2015, the Islamic State boasted it would soon flood Europe with as many as 500,000 refugees. And the Lebanese Education Minister said in September 2015 that there were 20,000 jihadis among the refugees in camps in his country. Meanwhile, 80% of migrants who have come to Europe claiming to be fleeing the war in Syria aren’t really from Syria at all.

So why are they claiming to be Syrian and streaming into Europe, and now the U.S. as well? An Islamic State operative gave the answer when he boasted in September 2015, shortly after the migrant influx began, that among the flood of refugees, 4,000 Islamic State jihadis had already entered Europe. He explained their purpose: “It’s our dream that there should be a caliphate not only in Syria but in all the world, and we will have it soon, inshallah.” These Muslims were going to Europe in the service of that caliphate: “They are going like refugees,” he said, but they were going with the plan of sowing blood and mayhem on European streets. As he told this to journalists, he smiled and said, “Just wait.”

This is what the Pope is trying to shame Europeans into accepting. This is what the Pope is trying to make Europeans feel guilty for being concerned about.

The Pope and the Catholic Church are aiding and abetting the destruction of Europe and of Judeo-Christian civilization. And woe to you if you dare dissent from this view: the Catholic hierarchy enforces lockstep on the idea that Islam is a Religion of Peace and the Muslim migrants are harmless refugees much more rigidly than it does its own stated dogmas.

“Pope rebukes ‘weary’ Europe, says migrants not criminals,” by Philip Pullella, Reuters, May 6, 2016:

VATICAN CITY, May 6 (Reuters) – Pope Francis on Friday lamented a Europe he said had grown “weary” and “entrenched”, and urged the continent not to see migrants as criminals.

Francis made his pointed comments in the presence of top EU leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi and the presidents of the European Parliament, Commission and Council.

“What has happened to you, the Europe of humanism, the champion of human rights, democracy and freedom? What has happened to you, Europe, the home of poets, philosophers, artists, musicians, and men and women of letters?” he asked.

“What has happened to you, Europe, the mother of peoples and nations, the mother of great men and women who upheld, and even sacrificed their lives for, the dignity of their brothers and sisters?”

The pope was speaking at a ceremony in the Vatican’s frescoed Sala Regia to award him the Charlemagne Prize, conferred annually by the German city of Aachen to those who have contributed most to the ideals of post-war Europe….

Francis called Europe “weary, yet still rich in energies and possibilities” and said it was “increasingly entrenched, rather than open to initiating new social processes capable of engaging all individuals and groups in the search for new and productive solutions to current problems.”

The Argentine, the first non-European pope in 1,300 years, said desire for European unity “seems to be fading” and that “those who consider putting up fences” were betraying the dream of the founders of a modern Europe.

“I dream of a Europe that cares for children, that offers fraternal help to the poor and those newcomers seeking acceptance because they have lost everything and need shelter … I dream of a Europe where being a migrant is not a crime,” he said.

Addressing the pope, European Parliament President Martin Schulz said the migrant crisis represented “a defining challenge for Europe.”…

That it is, indeed. But not in the way that Schulz thinks.

    • Agreeing that Muslims differ in their COMMITMENT to the doctrine, but they do not disagree on matters of IDEOLOGY. All Muslims realize what the IDEOLOGY of JIHAD demands from them, even though they do not follow it. They all know what Sharia law demands of them, even if they do not make the effort to PRACTICE it.

Or they can depend on superficial criteria (= that Muslim isn’t exploding, therefore he must be “lax”… etc.) and/or polls & surveys: Polltaker: Do you believe in jihad? Muslim: “Islam is a religion of beace, I only do beaceful things, my family is beaceful, everything is nice and lovely, I love the USA…!” etc.

          Such stats are elaborate ways of playing Muslim Roulette with our lives, and the lives of our friends, family, and fellow citizens.

    • I don’t like the modern context of the word ‘radicalized’. It gets thrown around like it’s something that just happens to muslims through no fault of their own. It’s always somebody else’s fault. Some ‘radical’ imam did it. Or they fell under the spell of their ‘radicalized’ friends.

      When will the western world wake up and realize that all this sickness comes directly from the Koran and the hadiths?

      They haven’t been ‘radicalized’. They simply took the time to truly understand their religion and take it to heart. These are true believers we’re dealing with here. As long as there is a Koran, and muslims follow it’s creed, you will always get some ‘radicalized’ muslims. You can go from truly peaceful muslim parents who teach kindness to their children, to their muslim son who might one day take islamic doctrine to heart and become a terrorist. (I am thinking of Maajid Nawaz as a good example).

Except most orthodox religious folks aren’t out sawing off heads with dull pocket knives, or tossing homosexuals off tall buildings or stoning women for any number of excuses. See his Regensburg lecture of 12 September 2006–if you can find it!–wherein he quoted Byzantine Emperor Michael Paleologus, that Islam stood in opposition to Christianity and that Mohammed had added nothing to the value of human civilization.

      • Agree with Cynthia’s well-written post. Pope Benedict dropped over the target and the church was taking flak for it. He raised the issues of jihad and Islamic obscurantism. Dead on.

        Benedict argued that if God exists, he is necessarily a god of reason who uses reason to convince people of the right behavior and belief. Islam uses violence to convince people, but their argumentum ad baculum (jihad) is entirely fallacious because it isn’t even an ‘argument’, but a threat. It’s a pity Benedict didn’t focus on that and leave out the quote from Palaeologos. Some Muslims might have even started to consider his point which is philosophically powerful. Islam, on the other hand, tells its followers not to use their large, functioning brain to discover the truth, but suppress their own, and other’s, critical thought.

        The stupid Muslim reaction to criticism is almost always “If you say Islam is violent, we’ll kill you”…thus proving Islam truly is violent, as well as obscurantist.

  7. Europe isn’t against “migrants”, just look at the polling. Europe has come to realize that Islam is against (read at war with) it, and is a cultural anathema to Western values. It just so happens to be that most of the migrants are Muslim, so the Pope is playing word games to make it seem like this rejection is race related.

Most people who emigrate to Argentina are educated and have professional-level skills; they’re not country folk, farmers and the like, who may need education and other social services before they become contributing members of Argentinian society.

    But “farmers and the like” are orders of magnitude BETTER than the layabouts/slackers/terrorists sent on hijra: the Muslim invaders do no work, they live like parasites on the host societies in which they’re implanted, and are on a mission to destroy it from within. Farmers are good, honest, hard-working people; it’s just that, in most Third-World countries, they’re also illiterate and un- or under-educated.

    Msgr. B clearly hasn’t looked out of his aerie recently to see the masses of Islamic, pro-Caliphate humanity pouring into Europe in the guise of “migrants.”

    The only good part of this entire discussion is that most of the mainstream press now refers to these Islamic invaders as “migrants” rather than “refugees.” Maybe because more of them have invaded Europe than there were people in Syria to begin with?

    Being a migrant is not a crime. Throughout European history, especially in the past 5 or 6 decades, Europeans have moved around from one country to another in search of a better life, personal satisfaction or simply a new personal challenge. Entering a country illegally, or even by force, however, is a crime. A nation can not be a nation unless they can exert some sort of control over their borders and decide who can and can not cross them. I would advise you to take a look at the history of your predecessors – by which I mean the rightful ones – and see for yourself what they made of it. Take for example Pope Leo I. He met Atilla the Hun and persuaded him to turn back. He didn’t try to shame his countrymen into letting Atilla go unchecked into Italy. Or Pope Pius V, who arranged the creation of the Holy League to fight against an invading force that wanted to conquer Europe. He didn’t try to shame his coreligionists into willingly allow Ottoman troops to do as they please.

    Wrong. The original idea behind the EEC (as it was) was to be a free-trade area between consenting sovereign States, not the undemocratic monolithic abortion that it has become. The reasoning was simple. The various European countries were far too entrenched in their separate cultural identities and the various economies did not match. This has all become abundantly clear as time went by.

    Well, Europe is supposed to look after its OWN children – and its OWN adults – first.
    And what a nice idea that these lovely ‘newcomers’ are all ‘seeking acceptance’ – except that’s exactly what they’re NOT doing. To be blunt, they’re just on the scrounge and apparently seem to think that they have some divine right to anything and everything they choose. Also their well-documented disgusting behaviour is not exactly what one expects from people ‘seeking acceptance’; in fact, their behaviour has done everything to militate AGAINST their acceptance. Furthermore, we would only have some duty to recompense them for losses if WE had caused their losses. We haven’t. They have sustained losses because they collectively can’t behave themselves, and therefore they and only they (collectively) are liable. And lastly, being a migrant has never been a crime, so long as it is done legally and properly according to the laws and regulations of the places to which they want to migrate. With these ‘migrants (or ‘refugees’ as they like to be known), they are trying to enter and occupy other peoples’ territories without permission. This would be correctly termed ‘invasion’ or ‘trespass’ which is illegal. So they ARE, in fact, criminals.

  37. I’m Catholic and I have a few questions for Pope Francis.

    Your Holiness, what do you think will happen when Muslims are a majority in Europe, a situation some expect to happen within 20-30 years?

    Do you think a Muslim majority in Europe will tolerate the Vatican and the open practice of Catholicism in Europe? What is the Church’s current position on dhimmi status and the payment of jizya to Muslims by Jews and Christians?

    Will the Church accept Islamic law which says the Christians and Jews are not allowed to maintain existing churches or build new ones?

    If I was to be offered the three choices offered Jews and Christians under Sura 9 of the Koran, i.e. convert to Islam, pay jizya and accept dhimmi status or die, what is the Church’s position if I should choose none of the above and take up arms?

    I’m not willing to passively allow some Muslim fanatic to hack off my head if I refuse the three options under Sura 9. Is my attitude a problem in your view?

    If a Muslim majority in Europe imposed dhimmi status or death on Europeans who refuse to convert to Islam, does the doctrine of just war apply to those of us who would take up arms to resist?

    I have many other questions on this topic as well but, for starters, let’s go with these ones.

So, it is very questionable if the Catholic Church even has a Pope at this time in history, certainly his voice should mean nothing to faithful and good Catholics he either has lost the papacy through apostasy or it is totally irrelevant to faithful Catholics, he is just an embarrassment to Holy Mother Church! The Cardinals are losing their credibility more and more every day they allow him to occupy the Vatican. This Pope/Anti-pope seems more interested in being the head of religions than the Catholic Church anyway so maybe we should give him to the Moslems to be the Caliph of their religion that way he could do something useful for us help destroy Islam forever, and we could have a Pope that actually will strengthen the Catholic Church and be of service to all Christians.

    Pope Frances, does not care about rape and murder etc that Moselms commit so let us not be worried about his moralizing his morality is in no way Christian. The Vatican and the cardinals have not shown themselves as faithful good Catholics as they almost never defend the Catholic position on any issue, hmm, Catholic will have to start studying their religion and think more for themselves, or their religion will disappear from the earth, the hierarchy of today will only lead you to Hell, both in this life and in the next. Study the Scriptures, the Catechism, the fathers the ecumenical councils the 2nd Vatican Council is the least important of these as it does not speak with authority. God prepare us for the war that is coming!
