Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Raymond Ibrahim: Pope Francis’ Jihad on Christianity

May 20, 2016 1:34 pm By Raymond Ibrahim

pope-francis

The man known as the pope and the vicar of Christ – but who in light of what follows is probably best referred to by his real name, Jorge Mario Bergoglio – recently gave an interview demonstrating why “so many people think he is the anti-Christ.”

The more salient features follow:

Christ as Warmonger

In classic relativistic fashion, Jorge claims:

It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam. However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.

Only someone who is ignorant of or hostile to Christianity can make such a claim.  To state the obvious: yes, both Christianity and Islam seek to win converts.  However, Jesus’s call to his disciples to “go forth and make disciples of all nations” in Matthew’s Gospel was understood and practiced peacefully.  Disciples preached; people converted.  No violence, no coercion.  In fact, it was Christians – chief among them disciples and evangelists – who were persecuted and killed simply for preaching Christ, first by the pagan Roman empire and later (and still) by Islam.

Conversely, Muhammad said, “I have been sent with the sword between my hands to ensure that no one but Allah is worshipped – Allah who put my livelihood under the shadow of my spear and who inflicts humiliation and scorn on those who disobey my commandments (The Al Qaeda Reader, p.12).”  The Koran is replete with commands to do violence on those who refuse to submit to Islam – and yes, in ways that far transcend comparison with Old Testament violence.

Unlike the spread of Christianity, Islam spread through the sword.  This is a simple, historic fact, acknowledged by more sober European leaders: the overwhelming majority of territory that today constitutes the “Muslim world” was seized from non-Muslims by great violence and bloodshed.  Two thirds of Christendom – the Mideast and North Africa – was to be swallowed up by Islam a century after its founding.  Even Rome was sacked and the Vatican defiled by Arab raiders in the name of Islam in the year 846.

The making of martyrs is the only similarity that Christianity and Islam share when it comes to how they spread: while Christians were martyred for their faith, Muslims martyred whoever refused their faith.

Dislike for “Christian Roots” of Europe (or Dislike for Truth)

According to Jorge:

[W]hen I hear talk of the Christian roots of Europe, I sometimes dread the tone, which can seem triumphalist or even vengeful. It then takes on colonialist overtones.

One expects such ahistorical multicultural drivel from a clueless atheist – not the pope.  A quick education for Jorge: the “Christian roots of Europe” are a fact.  For centuries, after the aforementioned Islamic conquests of the Middle East, the original heartland of Christianity, Europe became the heart and standard-bearer of the Christian faith.  That’s why it was called “Christendom.”  How can the supposed vicar, or representative, of Christ “dread” this fact, denouncing it as “triumphalist or even vengeful”?

Christianity as a Welcome Doormat

Apparently for Jorge, Europeans may express their Christian roots and faith – but only by being “welcome” doormats:

Yes, Europe has Christian roots and it is Christianity’s responsibility to water those roots. But this must be done in a spirit of service as in the washing of the feet. Christianity’s duty to Europe is one of service. … Christianity’s contribution to a culture is that of Christ in the washing of the feet.

So according to the head of the Catholic Church, the entire purpose and message of Christianity is the “washing of feet” – or, in this context, taking in millions of Muslim migrants, many of whom are openly hostile to Christianity.

Yes, Christ served and washed his disciples’ feet and preached mercy and compassion – but that was hardly the sole or even primary purpose of his mission.  He offered an entire worldview founded on profound theological assertions.  When people erred by profaning the temple, he didn’t “turn the other cheek” (let alone wash their feet).  He whipped them.  He didn’t preach naivety – “open your doors to those who have a long history of subjugating and still seek to subjugate you” – but rather taught his followers to be “wise as serpents.”  He spoke of everlasting hell and torments – indeed, more so than anyone else in the entire Bible.  That’s why all Christian denominations have traditionally held that being Christian far transcends “the washing of feet.”

But for Jorge, the only aspects of Christianity to be expressed are those that benefit Muslim migrants, some of whom hate and persecute Christians in Europe.

The Muslim World’s Problems: Our Fault and Responsibility

When asked if Europe has the capacity to continue accepting so many migrants, Jorge said “the deeper question is why there are so many migrants now.”  Like a true apologist for Islam, he went on to cite anything and everything – arms manufacturers, hunger, and, parroting the Obama administration, unemployment – as causes for upheavals in the Middle East, while ignoring the elephant in the room: Islamic culture, which engenders dysfunctional, intolerant, violent, authoritarian, and tribal societies.

Simply look to the birthplace of Islam, where Islamic law is strictly upheld: Saudi Arabia is wealthier than most Western nations and has none of the problems cited by Jorge, yet it too is barbaric, corrupt, backwards, and hostile to all who do not profess Islam.  Why?

—–

In the same Gospel of Matthew that Jorge disingenuously cited to conflate the mission of Jesus’s disciples with the mission of Muhammad’s jihadis, Christ declares, “Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them.”

If ever there was a person whom this admonition seems to pertain to – a man who holds the authoritative office of “representative of Christ,” but who empowers the historic (and ongoing) enemy of Christianity, while urging Europeans to suppress their Christian heritage and express their faith exclusively by the “washing of feet,” that is, by meekly lying down before Muslims – surely Jorge Mario Bergoglio fits the bill.

Well said and I totally agree that the Pope is misleading us to believe that to be Christian means to embrace our enemy. Wrong the enemy must repent, ask for forgiveness and be Baptized into Christ. Period.

The claim of the Roman Catholic Church that the pope is the vicar of Christ. The word “vicar” actually “substitute. For Christ .Since Jesus had ascended into heaven. Nevertheless pope Francis so much in the news lately and with his false statements about Islam being “peaceful” and many other polices of folly concerning Islam .As the above article reads “many people think that he is the anti-Christ.” In wouldn’t go that far as to say that he is “The Anti-Christ” who is a false leader the Bible predicts sometime in the future will come..Still something is very wrong So much so that the pope may have some of the anti-Christ in him. For example , pope Frances want to divide the State of Israel in to nations a Muslim one and a Jewish one. The Bible predicts the that coming anti-Christ “shall divide the land… ” Daniel 11:39. Also the pope know or should know that Jesus taught “If a kingdom is divided against itself ,that kingdom cannot stand .” Mark 3:24. [K.J.V]. In addition , not to get too much off the topic of the folly of people Francis concerning Islam. After many years after reading the Bible ,I started in the year 1974, in discovered the Bible teaches that there is no actual physical man substituting Jesus on earth. .Someone far superior to a man came to substitute for Jesus into the hearts of a real Christians . This Someone is the the Person of the Holy Spirit. As seen in John 7:39 24 ;16,17. 25,26. Getting back to the main subject of pope Francis being so wrong and in so much error concerning Islam it is wise not to trust him.

      1 John 2

21 I have not written you because you lack knowledge of the truth, but because you have it, and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son can have the Father; whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.…

Dare one hope that more adult members of the Curia are asserting themselves, and that Jorge Bergoglio now finds himself in the crossfire between the fashionable pro-Jihadi faction and the less fashionable pro-Catholic faction within the Vatican.

One can hope. Check out this article about Jorge Bergoglio in today’s edition of Breitbart.com: http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/05/20/vatican-insider-pope-probably-dislikes-americans/ Two points: 1) a Vatican insider is telling us the pope doesn’t like Americans, most especially conservative Americans, which implies criticism of the pope by a Vatican insider. 2) The article continues that resentment of America (the US) is “mothers milk” all across Latin America, so in all likelihood he’s been influenced more than a little by that. Never forget this pope most likely despises America and wants to deliver us to the conquering Muslims as much or more than he does Europe. If conservative Donald Trump wins the day (we pray) in this year’s presidential election, the pope is only going to get more negative on America.

For the uninformed, a Trad catholic is one that enjoys hearing the mass read in the latin. Trad Catholics are traditionally more conservative and think themselves closer to Christ. Why is this? I don’t get it personally but I think it’s the result of hearing mass read in a language they do not understand. I am a new catholic and frankly, still struggle understanding the mass in english. I know this wasn’t the topic. The topic basically is what must the college of cardinals do to unseat this wayward pope and replace him with him with someone faithful to the teachings of Christ? To this question I do not have an answer but believe that is the only avenue available. Thank you.

I personally can’t imagine why hearing something in another language (especially if you don’t
understand it, with no translator translating) would do much more than entertain—I can say,
that if You read the Bible, for yourself, starting with : Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts,
James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John, and Jude, in that order, all of them, straight through,
before you read Paul’s writings, and revelation, you will be reading in the original order
in which they were placed, the rest of the Bible should be more clear also.

In the “La Croix” interview cited by the article Pope Francis referred to Pope St. John Paul II comments on the “Christian roots of Europe”. To my recollection JPII reminded and urged the European Union elites to never forget that the “European civilization was founded on Christian faith and as such must be recognized and embedded in its Constitution.” However Europe has long untethered its ties to Christianity in the name of secularism. That is quite a contrast from Pope Francis view.
Additionally Christ cautioned the disciples about dealing with people at large when he said “16 “See, I am sending you out like sheep into the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of them, for they will hand you over to councils and flog you in their synagogues;” (Mat 10: 16-17). That is definitely not to be doormats. Christ also taught us to not throw away our jewels in front swines lest they are trampled. The moral of the admonition is that we have to be wise in spreading the treasures and not waste it on those who may not appreciate its worth and value. Mat 7:6 “Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

It is clear. jorge…. is anti Christ, anti-Christian. He is committing spiritual adultery, at the very least. He is preaching against Jesus Christ and His commandments, which qualifies him as anti Christ.

John wrote, in his first letter, that “There are many anti Christs. (2:18), so there can be, and are, more than one person who is against Christ.
In his second letter, John said, “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching (the true teachings of Christ), never receive him into your homes (1:10).

It is not his place to try to change what Jesus Christ told His disciples. This guy is not qualified, nor authorized to make new commandments nor tell Christians what to do, or not to do. He may have authority over those who look to him for direction…but only because they allow him to have authority.

His bologna will not be served at my table. And no moslim invaders will have their feet washed in order to please this anti-Christ.

Mind blowing. I (almost) cannot believe what I am reading. My grandparents and thousands upon thousands of Catholics were persecuted or even killed in Eastern Europe for the Byzantine CATHOLIC faith under Communism in Romania, in the Church of the Catacombs. I remember as a 5 years old being carries by grandma and running trough minus 30 Celsius with Ceausescu’s political police (the Securitate) after us. All that trauma and sacrifice for the Catholic faith, so that this joker of the bishop of Rome (sold body and soul to anti-Christian and occult groups of interest), could sell us all Catholics, like cattle, worse then Judah Iscariot sold Christ. Sell us for NOTHING! The blood of millions of ancestors all across Eastern and Western Europe that stood against the religion of the devil and the ideology of the antiChrist- Islam- cray out laud to God Almighty to avenge this blasphemy of this “pope= father”. What kind of “Papas” is the one that sells his own children to the enemy that wants them dead?! This guy is no pope. Holy Mother of God have mercy on us all! These are scary times indeed. They may even be apocalyptic times. Only God knows but it does not look that what is coming for Christianity will be easy. It may be that the prophecies of Our Lady of Fatima and La Salette will come to pass… Christe Eleison! CHRISTUS VINCIT! CHRISTUS REGNANT! CHRISTUS IMPERAT! WOW!!! Episcopul Marius, that is a great testimony!!! Certainly the people of Eastern Europe have suffered for the Lord as few have done. Would that those in Syria and Serbia, and others in these last few years would never have had to do so.

Compare this to Patriarch Kirill of Russia who has called the muslim/ISIS offensives all over the world a “holy war.” I am very close to doing something I considered years ago, and leaving the Roman Catholic faith for Orthodoxy. I want no part of the New World Order or a Pope who can’t tell the difference between his Christian flock and the muslim who would torture and kill every one of them. What’s worse is to sit in a Third Order meeting and being force-fed the writings of Jorge Bergoglio while other older ladies sit there and just gush over his platitudes. Obama and this Pope are two sides of the same coin.

Jacques de Molay was slow roasted alive and Pope Clement V is known for suppressing the Knights Templar, most were burned at the stake or imprisoned for life. Pope Clement V also approved of torture on Knights located in the British Isles as hunted down by the king of France.
The knights Templar that fought for Richard in the Crusades against you know who. Imagine that. Templar Knights were blamed for the eventual fall of Jerusalem. The knights Templar who built their own banking network which central banks at the time did not like. The last Templars who may have made it to America as outlined by Scott Walter forensic geologist. With the baby Jesus and the bones of Jesus according to Scott.
The blow back from the initial (and poorly planned) invasion of Afghanistan in 2003 has this pope right on the heels of the Jihadis who do the physical damage followed by disingenuous (in)moral rhetoric by the so called vicar. Bush should have finished the job.

This pope is burning us and falsely imprisoning us the best he can just like Barack Hussein Obama the falsest hope ever seen in west.

Everyone in Argentina knows that Verbitsky has zero credibility and that he is a puppet of the Kirchner family, who by the way are mortal enemies of Bergoglio. As it is evident from his public declarations, Bergoglio is a leftist. Hence, he would have never sided with the fascists who ruled Argentina during the 70’s. Regarding his “silence” during the dictatorship, any opposition to the military regime would have meant his immediate kidnapping and almost certain death. Why would he have talked? To defend the terrorist from the extreme left that were planting bombs in bars, schools, and universities? These extreme-left terrorists would have killed all of the priests if they had succeeded in their revolutionary endeavors.

Islam is a form of fascism…theocratic fascism…so it is ABSURD for any Leftist to defend it.

The chief error the pope makes is to assume that there is a well of GOOD WILL within Islam towards the ‘other’. There is not. Islam has only hatred and hostility towards the ‘other’.

RCC theologians have generally not discovered the horrible hostility to the ‘other’ that is normative Islam.

There is no way for Muslims to jettison this hostility because it is ESSENTIAL DOCTRINE in Islam (usul ud-deen) and is called ‘Al Walaa wal Baraa’. RCC theologians need to read up on ‘Al Walaa wal Baraa’.

“It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam. However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.”
-Jorge Mario Bergoglio, (aka) Pope Francis

The Jihads gain converts by using physical threats coercion or outright conquest and Jesus’ apostles used reasoning and not the sword to submit to God’s good will. Was his choice of the word “conquest” he cited was deliberate to show solitary with the Islamic justification to their cause? Is this pope for a “One World Religion”?

Why some of the previous popes were comfortable with the Islamic adherents, just like Francis’ attitude towards the Muslim community in spite knowing what horrific crimes they have committed in the name of their god, Allah?

It seems that Bergoglio has been spending more time reading Islam’s tenets than Christianity’s dogma. Perhaps he has been fascinated by what the Muslim’s scholars has concocted that the Bible prophecy has proven Muhammad’s legitimacy and his role of being in God’s fold. The Muslim culture is always out for a customary approach in ways that makes them prominent above other ethnic races. To obtain such success’ they make use of plagiarism and practice the copycat syndrome. They always claim to be the first ones that invent anything, i.e. electricity, the sonogram and many other advances to aid humanity, etc. The Wikipedia table below shows the coming of Muhammad prophecy as an example.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bible_prophecy#Muhammad

    Muhammad
These passages have been interpreted by some Muslim scholars as prophetic references to Muhammad. This claim has always been unacceptable to most Bible scholars. All the following are Muslim scholars’ interpretations of various Biblical passages.

    • Deuteronomy 18:18 and 33:1,2 – God promises to raise a prophet who would be among the brethren of the Jews and like unto Moses. Muslim scholars interpret “brethren” as a reference to Ishmaelites, the ancestors of Muhammad.] Muslims believe that Muhammad resembled Moses as a married father; warrior; law-giver; who was forced to immigrate; and raised by non-parents.
    • Habakkuk 3:3 – Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina.] Since according to Genesis 21:21 the wilderness of Paran was the place where Ishmael settled (i.e. Arabia, specifically Mecca).
    • Isaiah 21:13–17 – Arabia is the land of the promised one
    • Isaiah 29:12 confirms the way Muhammad first received his revelation from the angel Gabriel
    • John 1:19–25 has John the Baptist being asked if he was “the Prophet” after denying he was the Messiah or Elijah. Islamic preacher Ahmed Deedat said this was a prophecy of Muhammad.
    • John 14:16, 15:26, 16:7 and John 18:36– These verses describe a Paraclete or comforter. John 14:26, identifies it as the Holy Ghost, while Muslim scholars doubt the underlying meaning of the term.
    • John 16:12–14 – Comforter was to bring complete teachings. Christians actually believe this prophecy was the outpouring of the holy spirit on the day of Pentecost.
    • Matthew 21:42–44 – The rejected stone according to Islamic understanding of these passages is the nation of Ishmael’s descendants which was victorious against all super-powers of its time. “The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”
    • Acts 3:20–22 – Muhammad to come before the second advent of Jesus.

By comparing peaceful Christian missionaries to militant jihadists, Pope Francis has made a landmark quote for the jihadists to use in their propaganda to justify their violence.

Surely, the more this pope opens his mouth, the more church revenues will drop. The cardinals made a second bad choice in a row.

Both Benedict and Francis are entirely unable to speak about Islam. Both men underestimated the complexity of speaking about Islam…a duplicitous and intentionally confusing system.

The pope could use well-informed Roman Catholics like Robert Spencer to explain Islam to him, but that would be to lose face after the church’s assuming (without evidence) that such scholars of Islamology and Jihadology are on an invalid emotional tangent, when in fact they understand Islam in exactly the same way as the scholars at Al Azhar University…but without believing it is true.

The ‘Common Abraham Fallacy’ which the pope accepts implicitly is the source of much of the error in the RCC with regard to Islam. Judaism, Christianity and Islam have totally different versions of Abraham. Judaism and Christianity do not believe that Abraham was ‘REALLY’ a Muslim. Not at all.

Excellent and informative comment Mortimer.Your paragraph below garners a lot of thought….. a lot to ponder upon. Thanks

p.s. I will use what is written about this fact as a reference from this website:

‘Abraham in the Qur’an and the Bible D. ISHAQ OR ISMAIL: THE MUSLIM DILEMMA.’

A side note: As a novice of biblical history I’m fascinated with this part of all biblical studies.

Edward, I just read the article, “Ishaq or Ismail: The Muslim Dilemma,” available at the link which you provided. Excellent! I never realized that Ishmael was not mentioned in the Quranic account of Abraham and the sacrifice, addressed only in one passage: Surah 37.100-113. Thank you for posting the link.

Abraham was as far from being a Muslim as one can get!

Pope Francis fallaciously assumes that Muslims are ‘a race’. Muslims are not ‘a race’. Not at all. Muslims are theocratic fascists who come from all races.

Pope Francis should learn that Islam is a political ideology, rather than ‘a race’.

Jorge must resign as Pope. He is not a defender of the faith. He is an IslamoFascist appeaser and traitor of the faith.

God does not work according to our ways or yours for that matter. Man has no power over God because free will is the determining factor of evil which comes from free choice. The only simple example that I can clearly give is when Jesus hung on the cross and two criminals were with him. One asked for forgiveness the other could care less. The point being is that Jesus did not take the criminals off the cross and though He Himself was without sin was sacrificed none the less. Their is a price that we pay for turning from Gods direction whether it be a Pope or a dope. If we commit a crime against the Commandments then we had better ask for forgiveness for God knows the hearts of all men faithful or unfaithful.
