Vox is not bothered by Zakia Belkhiri’s vicious anti-Semitism. Vox doesn’t care that she loves Hitler. After all, she apologized — at least after first lying about what she had said. Therefore she must hate Hitler and love Jews, right? The Left is so credulous, so eager to be fooled by those in their protected victim category. It would be touching if it weren’t so lethal.
An update on this story. “Vox: Muslim Selfie Girl’s Apology Was ‘Heartfelt’… Islamophobes Capitalised,” by Raheem Kassam, Breitbart, May 23, 2016:
Vox.com has sought to reverse the overt Jew hatred of “Muslim selfie star” Zakia Belkhiri, blaming “Islamophobes” for using her comments as an “opportunity” instead.
Ms. Belkhiri – who shot to internet fame for taking pictures of herself outside a Flemish nationalist protest – was offered gleaming coverage by the likes of Vox.com, which announced: “She decided to take some cheerfully defiant selfies in front of the protesters”.
Following the Breitbart London story about her anti-Semitism, the Vox.com article was updated, but not in the way you might assume.
Instead of asking tough questions of Ms. Belkhiri, and posting her anti-Semitic comments for all to see, Vox journalist Emily Crockett used the situation as an opportunity to attack anonymous, “Islamophobic” Twitter accounts.
Citing Breitbart London, Crockett’s update said:
But of course, with virality comes increased scrutiny. Within days, screenshots of an offensive tweet Belkhiri apparently sent in 2012 (reading “Hitler didn’t kill all the jews, he left some. So we [would] know why he was killing them”) began circulating, and getting coverage particularly from right-wing and anti-Muslim media sources.
Belkhiri, who had already been tweeting about wanting to be left alone by the media before her tweet resurfaced, briefly deactivated her Twitter account. Then she reactivated it to tweet a lengthy, heartfelt apology to the Jewish community in both Dutch and English, before deactivating her account again.
Her apology probably wouldn’t be enough for everyone. Still, some used the incident as an opportunity to spout even more of the Islamophobic hatred that Belkhiri was protesting in the first place.
Her article is the second to be updated after the BBC also used Breitbart London coverage to shift their narrative when the facts failed to back up their glorification of Ms. Belkhiri.
The BBC dejectedly wrote that the story of the selfie star had “a not so pleasant postscript”.
Ms. Belkhiri returned to Twitter to suggest her comments were about Zionists, not Jews – even though her initial comments decried the “Jew language” Hebrew, and she made referencehttps://twitter.com/emilycrockett/status/734783827147665412s to the Holocaust – not something that was perpetrated on Zionists, but Jews.
But this isn’t something Vox seemed to be concerned about. Nor were her initial claims that the anti-Semitic quotes were “photoshopped” – an excuse that was revealed to be a lie when she finally took responsibility and “apologised”….

Islamophobia
Whenever Muslims get caught behaving badly they play the victim excuse rather than accept any responsibility and follow Muhammad’s disgraceful example.

The formula:

I love that word “Islamophobia”–It describes me perfectly. She and her ilk are truly frightening.
Sog says
For me Islamophobia describes *their* fear. Many islamists are terrified of the edifying prospect of individual freedom: That individuals might reject the Medina aspect of Islam and follow the Meccan principle that predates it along with the contact religions for which Islam originally took many of it’s original principles. Heaven forbid that large portions of Moslem populations should restrict their principles to those that are commensurate with the Golden Rule.
Tjhawk says
Look at the confidence with which she displays her abundant Muslim pride. She’s taunting these alleged hate mongering white supremacists.
She understands, but won’t admit, that these horrible white people are actually operating within a decent moral code, and that she is completely safe from them.
Could a Jew have pulled off this same “cheeky” move in front of her beloved Nazis in1939?
Could a “cheeky” kuffar show the back of their hand in a taunting manner to a crowd of agitated Muslims anywhere today, and assume their physical safety, the way this Muslima is able to?
If you answer my questions, it will be clear why resistance is not islamophobia.

Yeah–she was in no danger from these “Islamophobes” at all–and knew it.

The question here is not whether the sources who posted her old tweets are “right-wing” or “anti-muslim”, the question here is why did some media outlets ignored her background? I realize that no one likes to be caught with their pants down with their genitalia on their hands, but admitting they made a mistake would be far better than pretending nothing haooened.
And this is why we see people complaining that they don’t trust the mainstream media.
First of all, timeline needed. Second, she seemed to thrive in attention – why did she recoil, allegedly before her old tweets surfaced?
Great, another mind-reader. The excuse was “heartfelt” and not a cynical attempt to get off the spotlight because Miss Crockett says so.
Yeah, go figure – some people are so offended at her tweets that they feel an “heartfelt” apology won’t cut it. Imagine that – people being offended and not being unoffended by a mere apology.
What “islamophobic hatred” are you talking about? Stating facts? And what would your reaction have been if a Jew had tweeted something like “Israel doesn’t kill all palestinians so we know why they’re killing them to begin with”? Do you think an apology would solve it? Would you say that anyone criticizing such a tweet was “anti-semite” or spouting “anti-semitic hatred”? I doubt it. I bet nothing that person would do or say would be enough for you, and I bet you’d be front and centre, leading the lynch mob, pitchfork in one hand and torch on the other, shouting “burn the islamophobe!”.

Spot on, Angemon!

Would that more Jews understood the wider implications and got off the sob-sister racism kick, we might have more of them ditching the Democrat Party. If only.

Dude, seriously, every Jew in America could vote Democrat and it would not even register if more than about 3 Americans voted in their own elections.
I’m Jewish and If I were in US I would not vote Democrat but I sure as hell would not want to vote Repub.

Vox laments that Muslim selfie girl’s love of Hitler became basis for “Islamophobic hatred”
………………………………
So now having problems with someone loving Hitler and Holocaust is “Islamophobic hatred”?
More:
Then she reactivated it to tweet a lengthy, heartfelt apology to the Jewish community…
………………………………
Not exactly. First she denied she ever said it, and then “clarified” that she was just cheering on Hitler having murdered “Zionists” during the Holocaust.

Her apology probably wouldn’t be enough for everyone.

Gee, after that “heartfelt apology”, I wonder why? sarc/off

Still, some used the incident as an opportunity to spout even more of the Islamophobic hatred that Belkhiri was protesting in the first place.

The demonstration posited that Islam is violent and dangerous. Zakia Belkhiri proved their point with her love of Hitler and the slaughter of Jews. *That* is what is going on here.

‘Vox journalist Emily Crockett used the situation as an opportunity to attack…”right-wing and anti-Muslim media sources”.
I’m making a note of that name – Emily Crockett. She joins a few hundred other Journalists-for-Islamofascism across the Western world. These journalists are such savage psychopaths that if you express concern about Muslims’ Hitler-worship, or complain about Muslims’ *Holocaust fantasies*, these journalists actually have the gall to smear you as “right-wing”.
And by “right-wing”, they mean along the lines of Hitler. That is, if you complain about Hitler-loving Holocaust-loving Muslims, it is *you*, not the Hitler-lovers, who is like Hitler.
Now of course, Journalists-for-Islamofascism don’t believe these arrant lies for a second. Their goal is to influence the masses who are too busy with family life and work to think or do anything other than get a quick grab of news headlines. And here in Australia, the JFI have successfully labeled a range of anti-Jihad politicians across the world as “like Hitler” – starting way back in 2002 with Pim Fortuyn of Holland, who they provoked the assassination of.
Yes, the JFI have been wildly successful (so far). I personally know people who tell me they watch nothing but network TV headlines, and from this they think a range of Eastern European politicians, and Trump, are “like Hitler”.
Western countries aren’t being invaded by Muslims. We must never forget it is non-Muslim politicians and their JFI cheerleader/activists who are deliberately Islamizing our countries, Hitler-worship and all.

It couldn’t be expressed any better than that. The New Left has entangled itself in its criss crossing web of alliances and its baggage of mutually incompatible values.

Back in the says of Stalin, leftist journalists were eager to be fooled by the USSR. They could visit the Soviet Union and take the official guided tour and be fed and pampered and come back home with stories of how there was no famine, and everything was going great-guns. The Revolution was a success! All shiny and bright.
