Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

1930’s Iran: “Moth-eaten mullahs”

Jun 3, 2016 6:42 pm By Robert Spencer

“Iran is trying to get rid of religion in its own schools…How would you like it, if we bundled up a crowd of moth-eaten mullahs and sent them to America to open up schools there?”

In the 1930s it was a rhetorical question. And now it’s happening: “Lots of ‘moth-eaten’ mullahs have been sent to Europe and America, facilitated by Leftards and useful idiots, to set up schools and it seems at the end, Islam will be victorious and take over!”

Of course, it ain’t over til it’s over.

“How Times Change – The Secular Iran in 1930s,” Azarmehr.info, June 3, 2016:

BBC Persian’s revelation of a letter from Ayatollah Khomeini to president Kennedy in 1963, pledging that he would look after US interests in Iran and would not try to export the revolution, prompted me to read the whole 86 page document, “CIA report, Islam in Iran, March 1980, Secret, CREST”.

The document is a summary of the role of Islam in Iran in recent history. What prompted my interest was a section in the beginning of the document, which described how secular Iran had become in the 1920-1930s.

The document describes an American Christian minister who had approached Reza Shah the Great’s court minister, Teymourtash, seeking his consent for sending missionaries to Iran and setting up schools there.

Teymourtash’s reply was:
“Iran is trying to get rid of religion in its own schools” and further asks “How would you like it, if we bundled up a crowd of moth-eaten mullahs and sent them to America to open up schools there?”

Nearly hundred years on, it seems that is exactly what has happened. Lots of “moth-eaten” mullahs have been sent to Europe and America, facilitated by Leftards and useful idiots, to set up schools and it seems at the end, Islam will be victorious and take over!…

Iran still has not ‘got rid’ of religion in its schools. Taking too long, isn’t it? When the counterrevolution comes, the moth-eaten mullahs will seek safe havens in the ‘The Great Satan’ (US), the little satan (Israel) or any place that they criticized. The irony will be lost on them.

Under the Shah Iran did in fact get Islam out of the schools. In Teheran in the seventies you would not see one hijab, but very fashionable young women and men, there was considerable wealth and for most of us a takeover by religious freaks was unimaginable.

Fast forward to 1979, where that imbecile Peanut Khadr enabled the Ayatollah Khomeini to topple the Shah, and the rest is the nightmare we’re living through now.

Yes–Iran was our first real experience with a resurgent Islam in the modern period, and the way our leaders handled it did not bode well for the future. This presaged a lot of what is happening now.

Talking about Iran, according to a piece of a declassified news wire, America secretly collaborated with Khomeini and urged the Shah to leave Iran.

(…the US told a Khomeini envoy that they were – in principle – open to the idea of changing the Iranian constitution, effectively abolishing the monarchy. And they gave the ayatollah a key piece of information – Iranian military leaders were flexible about their political future…) More on the BBC link below please:

Everyday we see more and more muslims entering and spreading their evil cult of murder, rape, torture and slavery . They need to be stopped. We speak of a “broken immigration system” It is not broken. It is just not enforced. USCIS ACT 212 strictly prohibits anyone practicing polygamy, slavery, or sex trafficking from entering the United States. ENFORCE the LAW!!!!

    Same here in Australia too.

But most interesting a number of Islamic schools here including some of the largest in Australia are currently under Federal investigation for misappropriation of Government subsidy funds which are to be used only for strictly education purposes at the school to which they are allocated. It appears tens of millions of dollars may have been redirected by various muslim only school boards and management to other Islamic causes and even out of the country , where to and to whom we can only guess but terrorist links can’t be ruled out.

This story has been publicized most in the Murdoch media while the leftists who dominate much of the rest of the media here have tried to play it down which is no surprise

Respecting the larger issue prompted by this article, I would contend that the entire Islamic faith is moth-eaten, a relic of a totalitarian past which foolish and uninformed Western elites continue to make excuses for but which, in the final analysis, needs to be confined to the trash heap of history because, among so many other reasons, it is an enemy of liberty, equality under the law, a true Golden Rule for all, fine alcohol (let’s face it, Islamic breweries are kinda’ scarce), musical theater (let’s face it, Islamic musical theater is a very thin repertoire), and general common sense.

And yet here’s another: sartorial bad taste. I’m talkin’ atrocious here. Well, just look at the photo above for partial confirmation. And then there is that glorified garbage bag, the burqa, to further drive home the argument that if you have Islam, you have shit in clothing. Easily so. No contest. Fitting, though, since Islam gets most everything wrong.

I believe that one million mullahs agree with you, but they cannot admit it or change or leave their jobs. They are useless for other work. Such men as these mullahs who dedicate their entire lives to the study of the Islamic source texts MUST HAVE NOTICED THAT MANY THINGS ARE WRONG WITH THE TEXT. How could they not notice?

Both the Koran and hadiths have many details that don’t add up, are contradictory, absurd or downright offensively immoral. We should not assume that the MULLAHS THEMSELVES have not seen these FLAWS in the Koran and hadiths that we beginners see ALL TOO CLEARLY when reading them for the first time!

Imagine if you had read these absurd texts dozens and dozens of times…the flaws in the Islamic texts would get more under your skin each time you read them. For that reason, I believe most mullahs have trouble believing in Islam. If they felt safe to admit it, I believe they would. They must feel very lonely.

Why not assume, instead, they they found a way to internalize and justify those flaws? For example, “you have your religion and I have mine” and “fight those who do not believe in allah”. Contradictory? Yes. But, according to islamic scholars and apologists, those are meant for different situations – when muslims are in the minority then everyone has their religion and they must agree to et each other go on their merry way. When they’re in the majority, however, you better believe allah – or else.

Operation Ajax was a necessary initiative by the Eisenhower Administration during the early stages of the Cold War and one which prevented the Soviet Union from getting warm-water ports in the Indian Ocean and having Iran as an ally.

Reconsider the simplicity and overall error of your statement. Besides, and as gravenimage already mentioned, assuming passivity on the part of America in 1953 would have at all put a curb on a 1400-year spiritual totalitarian ideology is naïve in the extreme. Remember, Islam has wanted to dominate the world since the seventh century and no appeasement of it is ever a good idea. Oh yeah, reconsider.

Maybe we see the secular blindness and stupidity of Reza Shah Pahlavi in the quote given. No wonder his son had to put up with high-minded patriots like Mossadeq who was a bold lion with British oil interests in Iran, but who saw playing the crippled mouse before Soviet interests in Iran as an exercise in “internationalist solidarity”. Extensive Christian influence might have been just the thing that Iran needed; not a militant secularism which, everywhere it has gone, has produced “hollow men”.

As for the moth-eaten mollahs, much as I hold no candle for Islam and would not have wept had Khomeini been assassinated in a timely manner, I’ll have to hand it to old Popeye-the-Sailor-man-in-beard-glowering brows-and-turban that he did a real end run around all the so-smart secularized folks in Tehran, Washington, Moscow and a few other capitals, edging out the odds-on, smart-money favorites in the Tudeh as the Shah began to topple.

As a teacher who tries to avoid being the professional swindler of the young that my professions powers-that-be seem to want me to be, I see clearly the end of the March Through the Institutions launched by Marxists like Gramsci–and the institutions are ALL so much the worse for it.

Reza Shah was a Persian nationalist who enforced Persian nationalist education and ideology on ethnic minorities. He let the remaining Zoroastrians come out of the closet.

The Zoroastrian Persian Sassanians were enemies of Christianity and fought the Christian Eastern Roman Empire and Armenia.

Why would he let an offshoot cult of Christianity from western Europe gain a foothold in Iran?

Mohammad Reza Pahlavi went on Umrah and boasted that he was a fanatical Muslim. Uneducated Mullahs are often made fun of by devout believers. Making fun of Mullahs does not mean someone is secular. Wearing a suit and tie and shaving does not mean secular. Referring to a Shia Grand Ayatollah as an ordinary Mullah is already deliberately derogatory because ordinary Mullahs are not in high regard. Mullah Nasredine jokes are popular for a reason..they are made fun of like clowns.

The Pakistani ISI officers and agents who deal with various militany groups are religious but wear standard uniforms, suits and ties and shave their beards.

Mohammad Reza Pahlavi also wanted to nationalize the oil and hated the British but was boxed in at the time. Pahlavi said he wanted to “f*ck” Britain and it was Britain who invaded Iran and forced Reza Shah’s abdication.

Mossadeq was related to the Qajars who were overthrown by Reza Pahlavi. The personal grudge between them had little to do with disagreement on nationalizing oil and Britain.

The Soviets set up puppet Azeri and Kurdish republics in Iran like how they set up a puppet Uyghur Republic in Ili. Great fighter (even if the Liston fight will always be a question) but a tool of the Nation of Islam and Elijah Muhammad. Beyond the fights and clownish entertainment, he was someone who furthered Islam and made it “cool”, especially in the black community. He was someone who exchanged his “slave name”–actually named after someone who helped end slavery–for the namesake of someone part of the greatest enslavement of African people in history, an irony pointed out by no one back then.

Read Oriana Fallaci’s encounters with Ali, such when his Black Muslim goons surrounded her in her taxi after a hostile non-interview, shouting “filthy Christian” and starting to overturn the taxi until a police car happened by. “I love Elijah Muhammad much more than my mother” Ali said to her in an earlier interview, “because Elijah Muhammad is a Muslim and my mother is a Christian. I could even die for Elijah Muhammad. For my mother, not at all.” Elijah Muhammad, whose chief pal (after getting rid of Malcolm X) became Louis Farrakhan, who once said “all human progress has been achieved by Islam. The only white man worthy of respect is Adolf Hitler, my idol because he tried to get us rid of the Jews.”

Those nasty insects around Ali weren’t no butterflies.

Good points–although while I might’ve laid down my life for my mother (God rest her), I still say I love Jesus Christ over her (and pray that my sons will love Christ over my wife and me, too).

I also think it repulsive that Muhammad Ali made it “cool” to abandon the religion of abolition for that of people who only said a grudging and insincere “OK” to abolition at the point of British cannon and maxim guns–and who go back to slaving as soon as the world stops watching. But I will also add, too your comment, Jack, that I heard obscure people with some knowledge of history, including my own father, pointing out the irony of Cassius Clay’s conversion back in those Silly ‘Sixties and Sillier ‘Seventies.

And ain’t it grotesque what Ali said about Jews after all that certain Jews did for his career (the seemingly friendly banter that went on between Ali and Howard Cosell could get the attention of even non-sports fans like me). As for his pal Farrakhan–there’s a gutter religion for you (reference intended).

Yes, Ali, back in the day, said “the United States is the stronghold of Zionism and imperialism”; and “you know the entire power structure is Zionist. They control America; they control the world. They are really against the Islam religion.”

Fast forward–Ali’s daughter marries a Jewish man and their son embraces Judaism.
Ali’s grandson, Jacob Wertheimer, is a Jew and had his Bar Mitzvah in 2012 (attended by Ali). Ali in his dotage wanted it to be known: “There are Jewish people who lead good lives. When they die, I believe they’re going to heaven. It doesn’t matter what religion you are, if you’re a good person you’ll receive God’s blessing. Muslims, Christians and Jews all serve the same God.” According to the Qur’an the only Jews who lead good lives are the ones who become Muslims. Ali must have gotten forgetful.

It was not stupidity of the shah but a well planned system of government that favored the old persian empire before islam took over. the Shah even had his soldiers role playing old persian soldiers. His monarchy was intended to turn the populace from ayatollah domination to the old style persian rule.
why did the Shah even attempt this? the reason is we have several players in Iran of the 50’s,60’s and 70’s. we had a large population that believed in democracy or a people’s republic. You had fanatical ayatollahs with fanatical followers who wanted no democracy or a monarchy but an islamic republic. You had marxist and communist groups that wanted a socist republic.
Now the shah knew that the population wanted democracy but these people were like sheep and could be easily swayed an d controlled by the ayatollahs. these people were not fanatical but the supporters of the ayatollahs were. it was only with a strong military and a strong intelligence service (Savak) that he could control the fanatics.
This was not understood by the western nations who only saw the shah as an autocrat interested in and power and that he was not letting the Iran become democratic. But the shah firstmost was a persians and he wanted to lead Iran away from the ayatollahs and possibly islam. the ayatollahs were off course fully aware of this and did not in any way wanted an end to islam and iran as a secular monarchy.
Now we are in the late 70’s and the shah had cancer but the world situation was such that the west wanted him to abdicate and replace his rule with the rule of the ayatollah. The ayatollahs played the west well in making them believe they were all for giving people rights and setting up a democracy with iran an ally of the west.
They also played the marxist and communist while promising democracy and human rights to the population of sheep in Iran. In the Carter administration and France, they found their perfect dupes. With western support eroding and the shah in ill health he may have realized this was the end of his rule and iran that he wanted. The ayatollahs and their fanatical branch of islam were going to be the real rulers.
The rest is history, with the takeover of the ayatollahs it quickly became clear these people wanted a theocracy with no democracy.

The pattern is that the liberals are living a stupidity, and the more that becomes apparent the more Moslems they bring in. This is of course acting out on self-denial, but it brings disastrous long term consequences. Sweden, France and Germany are great examples of this suicidal tendency, but don’t leave out Britain. The worse it gets the worse the liberals get, they keep doubling down because they dare not admit to themselves that their predicates have been ridiculous from the start, and not just on Islam. But that’s the worse of the stupidities, we possibly cannot recover from the Moslem fantasy. Why is it liberals are never held to account for their mistaken fantasies?

Unfortunately the time to put a stop to all this is insanity is now past. We have leaders in the west who reflect the will of the mostly degenerate liberal consensus and the mass majority of the youngest generation’s (what I like to call generation “Z” for zombie) minds have been captured by the prince of this world through technological promotion of sin and mass mind control. It is all coming to a rapid head and it will start with a mass disappearance of the bride of Christ. There is no longer a political or military solution. You can only stop a cancer in the initial stages. There will be a push-back in Europe and/or America against this satanic system called Islam (all set up and created by the Roman Catholic church centuries ago I might add) but it will be part of the deception and little to little to late. There will only be one escape. Seek the King of Kings.

This is utter rot–and complete calumny. Islam developed far from the Catholic seat of power. Catholicism had no power and little influence in dark ages Arabia. The Christians who did live there were mostly Gnostics of various sorts and other fringe types–few of them were orthodox Christian.

Well, I have to disagree. I realise what I said would be a shock to most but the Roman Catholic church is not of Jesus Christ. Check out this presentation by Walter vaith and then get back to me. It’s not my only sorce to which I came to this opinion and I also realise Walter Veith is an seventh day adventist and I believe SDA’s have some very questionable origins as heretical doctrine. I am not an SDA. But I believe this presentation is spot on. Just look at the communistic and quite frankly anti-Christian things this Jesuit pope has been saying….”Christians and muslims worship the same God” and the “Koran is a book of peace.” Now, you want to talk about utter rubbish and blasphemy. But check it out if you dare…Walter Veith – The Islamic Connection to Rome Catholicism

There is no doubt that this pontiff is a foolish dhimmi–but this is hardly always the case. In the fact, the previous pope was quite Islamo-savvy.

Catholics protected Europe against Islam for centuries–this would make no sense if they had created Islam.

You can object to Catholicism on doctrinal grounds all you like. I am not Catholic myself. But the idea that Catholicism created Islam is simply ahistorical claptrap.

Robert Spencer himself is a devout Catholic–and a brave Anti-Jihadist.

No…I’m definitely blaming the Iranian mullahs for their own nonsense. I don’t know how you got that from my comment. But I would contend that Gravenimage has not dissected my comment as you put. It’s just that you disagree with it. That’s fine. I may have went off on a tangent concerning Catholicism I admit but there is no reason for you to be insulting as you are. I don’t want to get in to it with you. You really show what you are made of when you debate in this fashion not to mention that you are not adhering to scripture and sound doctrine, namely Proverbs 18:13.

The secularizing trend in the early twentieth century was due to the modernizing influence of the European powers. This was very beneficial, despite all the lamentations about imperialism and colonialism. Since the Europeans left, those countries to their own devices, they are slowly but surely sinking into chaos and barbarism. And now, it’s too dangerous for Western people to even go to many of those countries.

*Very* true, Jewdog. The influence of Islam was weaker throughout much of the Muslim world in the 19th and early 20th centuries for just this reason.

This heinous Islamic regime of Iran is even false in its name. For it has the title of “The Islamic Republic of Iran.” It is Islamic for sure, but its falsely called a “republic.” This is because a real Republic comes from the Latin word; res-publica meaning “The property of the people” This is one thing that this brutal and harsh Islamic tyranny is not. For the mullahs and ayatollahs who have the strong and terrible power in this Islamic have much control. Even the Iranian parliament is much influenced by those ruling Muslim clerics. Those mullahs and ayatollahs of this Islamic dictatorship come down very hard on the human rights of the Iranian people through their ruthless gang of thugs who are called “The Republican Guard.” Furthermore, this hideous type of hard and oppressive tyranny is taught about in the Bible .For in Ecclesiastes 4 :1 in teaches about “the tears of the oppressed.” and about all the power being “on the side of the oppressors.” Likewise, in that same Bible book in 5:8 it informs the reader not to be naïve about such awful wickedness. For it teaches “If you see the poor oppressed…and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things.” Moreover in Proverbs 15:15 it also teaches “All the days of the oppressed are wretched…” In addition, the Iranian president, Rouhani and ayatollah Khamenei may be described in Proverbs 28:15 which reads “Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked man ruling over a helpless people.” In short, the brutal and vicious Islamic regime of those two characters, just mention, as well as the other mullahs , ayatollahs and other Muslim tyrants who have such harsh and brutal control with their terrible oppression over the lives of the Iranian people , Proverbs 29:2 is thus very appropriate . For it teaches “When the wicked rule, the people groan. “ [N.I.V.]

The “test firing” of a missile last month and likewise earlier this year “test firing” of other missiles, shows the gall and defiance of those mullahs and ayatollahs along those other Muslim villains in power in this tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran their total arrogant contempt for the US and the other Western nations in this so called “deal.” Those Muslim clerics and other Muslim tyrants in power in this cruel and oppressive Islamic tyranny are, in character, reflected in the Bible in Psalm 73:6-9. Which reads, “Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their mind know limits. They scoff and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.” [N.I.V.]

Islam is a cult of death and destruction. This actually began for sooner then islam was created..Genesis chapter 4, speaks of GOD separating the early people into tow parts after Gain Murdered Able. God saw that his creation had turned their backs on him after EVE gave Adam the apple from the Garden. GOD foresaw the self destructive attitudes of mankind. He chose to split mankind into different ideologies. One who would follow Jesus and the other who would chose death. Islam was created in the seventh century. Adolph Hitler met with a mullah in 1931`, The land of the islaimc peoples is cursed as mention in Genesis and will produce nothing but death.,.

When it comes to Iran, history has shown this matter is apart from any presidency decision at a time, rather it is embedded within the long term policy of the U.S. governance system. This is because Iran has always been a critical point of geopolitical interest for the United States.

During the cold war era, as a resolution to stop the expansion of communism in the Middle East, U.S. along with its European allies, in a Conference in France in January 1979, came to conclusion to establish a green belt under the Soviet Union border by promoting and supporting the anti-atheist Islamic theocrats to take over the government in Iran. Since then the Mullahs’ regime has shown its extreme domestic and global atrocities in at least three fronts, act and support of terrorism, meddling in neighboring countries, and grave human rights violation against its own people.

During the past almost four decades, six U.S. presidents have been the bystanders of the regime’s shocking security threats across the region and the globe and yet not a single countermeasure against it has been instituted. Over time it has become more evident that such inaction and indifference of U.S. presidents has nothing to do with any individual U.S. government’s lack of will in responding to these unprecedented threats but has emanated in long term U.S. policies, which sought strategies far into future. These long term policies, per domestic and global necessities, are usually modified or changed over the course of a decade or so and has little to do with a single U.S. government’s dogma at a time.

About four decades of appeasing Iran policy has been carried out by six U.S. presidents. Regardless of the Iranian grassroots discontent, they have made all the supportive efforts they could to keep the mullahs’ regime well and alive. Why?, because firstly, the neocolonialism loves to deal with imbecilic Islamic mullahs whom at the very least, per their Sharia among other things, are against the nationalism, a key-code and an invitation card for an easy foreign aggression. And secondly, the apocalyptic IRI regime can easily be used as a wrecking ball to do the U.S. dirty job of destroying the region. How long this policy will continue? is it going to change at all? if so, when? All the evidence suggests that for no less than another term of the U.S. presidency, regardless of whoever is the next U.S. president, the ongoing chaos in Middle East is not only going to continue but will spread all over the region in general and to Iran in particular. Remember this is part of the long-term U.S. geopolitical strategy in the Middle East, which tends to change the current regional borders once established by the Sykes–Picot agreement a century ago.

Actually, we had–quite sensibly–cut off all diplomatic relations with Iran for decades. It is Barack Obama who decided to change that.
