Throughout this questioning by Ted Cruz, DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson maintains that how the enemy is identified is unimportant, and that he and other intelligence and law enforcement top dogs know full well who the enemy is, and are busy foiling his plots. Cruz, in response, shreds Johnson, pointing to numerous ways in which the Obama administration’s politically correct willful ignorance led to danger signs being disregarded numerous times — danger signs that, if they had been heeded, might have prevented the Fort Hood, Boston, and Orlando jihad massacres.
Johnson’s irritable arrogance here, and refusal to address the facts Cruz adduces, is revealing of the mindset of the administration in its refusal to name the enemy accurately. The facts to which Cruz points show how this policy is costing lives.

Normal people (if there are any left) should riot until such enablers as the one above are fired from their jobs and persecuted as traitors!
jihad3tracker says
I watched the entire clip & you should too, as well as sending it to your federal and state elected officials. Jeh Johnson is obviously completely P*SSED OFF THAT HE HAS TO ANSWER CRUZ’S QUESTIONS.
I suggested in another post today that, if you would like to have Senator Cruz on the ticket (as the Vice-Presidential candidate) with Trump, tell the Trump campaign at its website. BUT HERE IS A MUCH BETTER IDEA — TRUMP’S FACEBOOK PAGE.
What you write does not have to be long. It could be as simple as something like this: “Ted Cruz was excellent at the Willful Blindness hearing.Tuesday. He would be an extremely strong choice for vice-president, and probably bring undecided Democrats and Independents into Mr. Trump’s voter support.”
Please get on the Facebook page VERY SOON ! Things happen fast these days, and we don’t want to lose this moment and the fresh memory of that hearing on Obama’s disgusting sympathy for Islam.
vlparker says
Considering the bad blood between them I seriously doubt that Cruz would accept. The VP is a useless job anyway. If I’m wrong and he would accept, Sec State or Attorney General would be much better.
jihad3tracker says
Yes, I agree that the VP is TYPICALLY USELESS but there Cruz could turn it into something active. We also agree that Secretary of State or Attorney General would be better — that occurred to me.
My point about the VP slot is that it would put Cruz into minds of voters immediately after Trump names him. And “bad blood” — as you accurately write — can be mopped up if the White House is at stake.
I have followed campaigns since Kennedy versus Nixon (1960) — deeper animosities than the Trump/Cruz slugfest have been forgotten for the sake of winning a presidency.

Hello JT,
Unfortunately I have to agree with vlparker. I’m really disappointed Cruz did not become our nominee.
At this point however I’m actually more concerned about the cash that is not flowing into Trump’s campaign. Even if he cleans up his act and continues with (albeit scripted) the fairly decent speeches he gave regarding clinton and a ban on the Islamic Supremacist migrant inflow, he still needs cash to push the campaign forward…..LOTS OF CASH.
Things are going to get heated and interesting in the next two weeks before the convention. I’m still holding out for the slim chance that the delegates do what I consider: The Right Thing.

We need to seriously guard against allowing a wolf to take over the hen house. The Democrats are all over the voting system looking for ways to corrupt the republican party. The truth, clear judgement, honesty and good character are unknown in the Democrat and Muslim world.
Rob Porter says
Ex-Muslim, Jeb Johnson has the refinement and manner of a total ignoramus, his hostility evident. It would have been interesting to have Cruz ask Johnson the basis of his obvious hostility. You are right, he is a wilful enabler and in my opinion an enemy of the country and his people. What is more I regard him a contemptible liar for the simple reason that he has to know about or in fact be the one who is directing employees of Homeland Security to scrub all reference to Islam, jihad and Muslim. There is not the slightest possibility that he would not know about such a directive – and not know that the disgusting Attorney-General, Loretta Lynch is not doing similarly. Some coincidence that Homeland Security and the Attorney-General are doing similarly! Obviously it is Obama policy.
Ted Cruz did an excellent job of cross-examining this ignorant fool.

And the enemy is NOT “radical” Islam.
It’s the Islam of Qur’an, Sunn’ah, Islamic “scholars”, and those Muslims carrying out the commands and demands of their fictitious “Allah” and whomever wrote those books.
Wellington says
Agreed, PRCS. If I could impress just one thing about Islam upon others who don’t yet understand how iniquitous it is it would be that the term “radical Islam” is redundant. If one grasps this in its entirety then everything else about Islam will start to fall into place.
PRCS says
Hey, Counselor. Haven’t “seen you around”, lately.
I understand the point you’re making, but I see it from a different perspective.
IMO, the notion of a “radical” Islam–as cowardly/clueless politicians & so-called journalists use the term– perpetuates amongst the unwashed masses the false impression that it is somehow–though never defined–separate and distinct from the “kinder, gentler, peaceful Islam” meme so many have bought into.
I do wish/hope that someone in a position to do so will eventually ask Jeh “Duh” Johnson–or any other denier–to explain (with whatever illogic they think makes their point) how the IS does not represent Islam/is/is not Islamic. The results should be hilarious.
That won’t be Cruz, though, as I believe he holds the record for most uses of “radical Islamic terrorism” in a single conversation.

And there, not only by “the hands” of Muslims but there also by the efforts of fools who buy and thus propagate the lie of a Moderate Islam whose byproduct is Moderate Muslims.
Norger says
Cruz was effective in this cross-examination.
Intentionally choosing to ignore your enemies’ incessantly stated motivating ideology can only be characterized as “willful blindness” (Andrew McCarthy’s term). What this really means is that law enforcement is essentially prohibited from undertaking a proper assessment of the jihadist belief system and mindset in preventing future attacks. Unlike many posters here, I believe that Obama is actually well-intentioned, but from the most basic, common sense standpoint he is 1000% wrong on this. This approach has and will cost American lives here at home.
PRCS says
Unfortunately, my friend, Cruz is either ignorant about Islam or is afraid to simply and accurately define/describe to issue at hand: Islam. Just Islam. The Islam of Qur’an and Sunn’ah.
His use of euphemisms which whitewash the real deal cast a pall on his credibility.
Norger says
He knows enough; he was quite effective. You’re not going to get a blanket condemnation of Islam from any politician except perhaps Trump, who knows less than Cruz. I get your point that “radical” is arguably redundant in describing Islam. I consider myself quite Islamophobic and fairly well read on the subject, and even I don’t necessarily agree that ALL of Islam can be lumped together. To be sure, there are mainstream interpretations of Islam that are anti-American and anti-western, to the point of justifying or advocating violence against us. That’s all the Dept of Homeland Security needs to know and act upon. Mainstream segments of Islam are the enemy, and we can’t be afraid to say that.
PRCS says
I don’t think “radical” is redundant in describing Islam.
There’s no such thing. There is Islam–amputations and all.
The term “radical Islam” perpetuates the false notion that compliance constitutes a perversion of “the faith”. And it confuses the ideology with the degree to which a Muslim chooses–or is forced–to comply.
Qur’an 5:38 commands the amputation of thieves’ hands.
Is that “radical” Islam or regular Islam?
Qur’an does not address America or “the West”. It addresses “unbelievers”. Everywhere.
We need politicians to step up to the plate and cause a gigantic national gasp by just calling it Islam, and let Muslims prove him wrong.
Debi Brand says
“Cruz is either ignorant about Islam or is afraid to simply and accurately define/describe to issue at hand: Islam. Just Islam. The Islam of Qur’an and Sunn’ah.”

If, according to Jeh Johnson, and other officials in the gov’t, the word doesn’t matter at all then why go to lengths to remove it? The administration’s actions say the opposite of the placating words that it doesn’t matter.
And yet this administration has used the words for far right whites and through the IRS has targeted tea party members, etc. but most definitely not some org. like CAIR.
It’s as clear as a neon sign Obama’s administration has been filled with those sympathetic to the Islamic cause. It will only continue to get worse and the body count will continue to increase while this administration and possibly a clone of it afterwards are in charge.

Remember all the examples of self-censorship news stories with respect to Islam (see LINK: http://quotingislam.blogspot.com/2011/06/are-lights-going-out.html )
Obama scrubbing Department of Homeland Security documents of the words “jihad,” “Islam”, etc., is part of that. The public discourse is already warped by jihad terror, since one side of the debate has very few representatives willing to speak out publicly, for fear of getting a target on their back. The current public Islam debate is effectively censored by Islamic terror. See the link.
People are afraid, and a blanket of silence is trying to descend. Obama is mistakenly trying to increase the silence for a combination of misguided reasons.

It’s the first time I’ve heard Mr. Cruz; he came across very well.
What a contrast to, as Robert puts it, the ‘arrogant irritability’ of the weirdly named ‘Jeh’ Johnson. In fact, I was taken aback at his body language, and facial expression – all *dripping* with contempt for Mr Cruz, and the whole process, and he made no attempt to hide it. What does that tell you, Americans ?
Norger says
It says “We’re smarter than you and we’re doing this for the greater good.” Cruz clearly has some experience as a cross/examiner, and he was also very well-prepared, in contrast to Jeh,who seemed largely unprepared for a line of questioning that any second year law student could have seen coming. That’s real arrogance; going in unprepared against a skillful questioner who you know is going to end loaded for bear. That says you don’t care how badly you do. And this arrogance is understandable. Unless the MSM picks up on this (and they won’t) this shoddy performance will be known only by those who frequent this site and others like it. Jeh will likely emerge from this relatively unscathed.
The body count must rise considerably before this idiocy will be reconsidered.
Shmooviyet says
@Mirren: yes– the set mouth and jutting chin, as well as the contempt in his eyes, followed by the bored chin-on-hand as the questions continued. His whole countenance was reminiscent of HRC during Benghazi.

GOOD for Senator Cruz, who maintains a statesman-like composure when dealing with a lying ‘islamo-sympatic’ like Jeh J.

It is truly sad that nobody in the political arena or in the mainstream ever speaks the blunt truth when it comes to challenging the issues we face today and for that matter, have always faced. There is no such thing as radical islam; islam is islam. Why is it that we have fourteen centuries worth of history that none of these people ever choose to bring up when addressing this false religion, it’s false prophet and the atrocities committed in the name of it? Long before isis, the muslim brotherhood, boko haram, the taliban, hamas, the oic, cair, isna and all the rest of these islamic entities and long before the United States ever came into being, muslims were torturing, murdering, raping and enslaving non muslims in accordance and adherence to islam. Anyone in a position of authority who chooses not to identify isis or any of these other groups as being islamic, needs to be releived from their duty. The arrogance of Jeh Johnson is offensive and disgraceful. He, along with obama and all the rest of these muslims within the government and their sympathizers should be given a one way ticket to Guantanimo Bay, never to be pardoned.
Champ says
Bravo, Ted Cruz!
Johnson is an unethical lawyer and ‘Homeland Security Secretary’ who kept dancing around Ted’s very straightforward questions, and Johnson used every manner of deceit and wordplay he could muster to avoid answering these questions. And Johnson certainly is NOT securing our homeland from islamic terrorism! …my gosh he can’t even say those words! The man is completely incompetent and ought to be fired. But of course he won’t be replaced with someone more competent, since he’s a useful idiot for obama who’s also a tool for islam, as well.

Trump isn’t afraid to call Islam what it is either! Believe me,. we have an elitist Liberal up here in Canada who was elected PM, and he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, never had a job in his life except that of a substitute gym teacher. Trudeau is a separatist and thinks that all of Canada belongs to Quebec. Trump is a conservative alright, he needs a better speech writer is all, and he doesn’t have the 25 or years of lying experience that Hillary has. I watched the final report on what happened in Benghazi, which the Democrats are just poo-pooing it as a Republican pile of made up crap. Well, someone appointed this groups to investigate it. Please don’t tell me that people still believes that that terrorist attack, as that what is was, was caused by some stupid video on YouTube! Hillary was lying! She lied to the face of one of the mothers whose son died! She commented on it yesterday and said that it was time to but it behind us! I hope people know that the navy seals or whoever was waiting in an airplane to go and save these poor Americans were told the change clothes a total of FOUR times – uniform on, no, take it off, no, put it back on, no take it off..all because she didn’t want to hurt Libya’s feelings? It was a bunch of American military – Navy Seals I think, who, when and got out who they could. Yes, it is true that no words relating to Islam, Muslim, Jihad etc, etc, can appear anywhere on any document……if it is already there, it has to be blacked out. Watch Rebel.ca and watch the report by Faith Goldy and she tells it like it is! Even the print out of the 911 call between the Orlando shooter and the 911 caller already has any reference to Allah, Islam, etc is blacked out. Watch Faith’s report and you will find out what other words are on the non print list……it is designed so that people will forget – when one doesn’t hear certain words in quite awhile, they soon leave our memory Oh, I am sure most have heard about the accidental meeting on some plane between the AG of the US and Former Pres, Clinton! My my, they had a little private meeting that lasted 30 minutes! She said they just talked about their grandchildren. The AG is suppose to be heading the investigation about Hillary her e-mails….we all know that all her staff will take the fall for it I was no surprise to me to hear of FAX news this evening that the department that is trying to “find” the e-mails – sorry I can’t remember the name of the department – all of sudden say that they need 29 more months to investigate this e-mail crap. How come one watches crime shows like “the First 48” and once they get their hands of the suspects computer, it is only a matter of weeks before they have all the stuff hidden on the hard drive. Trump has pushed this issue that neither Hillary or Obama cannot say the words “radical Islam”, not Ted Cruz. Trump’s problem is is that he isn’t a polished speaker like Hillary is. Also, next time Obama starts with his “psycho babble, I must get a pad and paper and write is all down. I am sick of hearing that we are all racists, bigots, then he says, we are all xenophobes, believe in populism etc, etc, etc…..good GOD! I am NOT a racist nor a bigot!.
PRCS says

I too totally agree that the distinction between radical Islam and Islam of Quran and Sunnah (Sira and Hadiths) is superfluous. And see that the potential of every Muslim to interpret Quran and Sunnah sooner or later in a way that is in opposition and detrimental to essential laws, Tenets, values of true democratic nations and citizens.
The name Moderate Muslim by now abhors me. It implies that this sort of Muslims LACKS something due to a shortage of knowledge and interest in Islam. Something which can at any time can become bad and dangerous due to increased interest and knowledge in Islam of the “lacking” moderate Muslim.
But I do see so-called “Combi-Muslims|”who seem to combine their Islamic faith with Western values, if not in their mind, then at any rate in their words and actions. And these “Combi-Muslims”do have varying, sometime very strong incentives for that.
Because of modest to outrageous dependence on”democratic nations and citizens, even if they are infidels.
So many Muslims in the West disproportianetely depend on ….. welfare, jobs. career but also for medical care for themselves, their children and elderly. And on education and security as well. FROM THE INFIDELS.
And for that so many “”Combi-Muslims”express all these appeasing, sweettalking,, peaceful, harmless words and attitudes.
So much so that some of their own children actually seem to believe this, as is shown by some of their incredulous expressions if once again they perceive that some Ïslamophobe” is “brushing all Muslims with one brush”.
I am just saying; Muslims can also lie too much, on penalty of internalising their own or other Muslims and Political Correct lies also too much.
Demsci says
I guess some Muslims strike me as Combi-Muslim, because they follow Islam by the letter in many aspects, like Ramadan,
but at the same time present themselves and are seen by the people around them as bonafide pro-democratic, loyal citizens, so much so that any suggestion of anti-democratic, disloyal, treacherous intent of them is immiediately vehemently denied by almost all, not just them, but also by the vast majority of their colleagues and other fellow citizens.
And such “combi-Muslims”are also expressing their opinion in articles, on TV and parliaments,in detail and often. Expressing pro-democratic opinions and exhorting Muslims to warn the police about terrorists and radicalisation and so on. All of which they do while being a devout Muslim.
So I don’t need to “paint all Muslims” with one brush, although I really do that in respect to Radical and Moderate Muslims.
But I can see a distinction between “Islam-only Muslims”(NOT Quran-only Muslims by the way) and “Combi-Muslims”.
At least this is my thought-experiment for now. And I discussed this distinction with a Muslim-colleague and he at least did not contradict me. As he as a matter of course distanced himself from ISIS (for good measure he also called ISIS an instrument of Israel, but this aside).
Demsci says
Of course I remain suspicious, even about “” combi-Muslims”, As I would be concerning “Combi-Nazi’s.
But at the same time Combi-Muslims might well have been more or less heavily”ïnfected” by our Democratic and moral values, Tenets, societal system, government et al.
And it is this “infection”which we should be interested in to augment in them. Up to the point of conversion ideally.
linnte says
Demsci, that is my hope and prayer for Western Muslims: conversion to Christianity!
