Orlando jihadi bragged to coworkers about jihad ties, FBI called off investigation: “Islamophobia”
2013: Orlando jihadi threatened to kill sheriff & his family, FBI dismissed threat
FBI training material purge likely caused agency to drop the ball on Orlando jihad mass murderer
FBI “never guessed” gay club would be target of jihad attack
Orlando gay club jihad mass murderer was “person of interest” to FBI in 2013 and 2014
My experience with Obamoid FBI agents has generally been negative: they’re as condescending as they are clueless, and don’t know what they don’t know — they’re smug in their ignorance and don’t realize the huge gaps in their training. The Orlando jihad massacre demonstrates that Obama policy for the FBI and other agencies has left Americans outrageously vulnerable to jihad attack: agents are deliberately kept ignorant about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, such that they don’t have any idea how to evaluate people like Omar Mateen.
The Obamoid FBI is so worried about “Islamophobia” and so busy conducting “outreach” to mosques linked to jihad terror that it is incapable of doing its job.
An update on this story. “FBI never even VISITED the gun store after owner reported suspicious Omar last month when he tried to buy ammo and surveillance has since been erased,” by Alexandra Genova and Mia De Graaf, Dailymail.com, June 17, 2016:
A gun store owner who reported Orlando shooter Omar Mateen to authorities weeks before the massacre has said the FBI did not investigate the store and that no copies of surveillance had been taken.
Robbie Abell, co-owner of Lotus Gunworks, told ABC news that while there was a follow-up conversation with agents, the FBI never visited the south Florida store after he alerted them and failed to investigate further.
Mateen came into the store in May and asked for heavy-duty body armor like the kind used by law enforcement, which they did not sell.
After the 29-year-old was denied he asked to buy bulk ammunition. The request was shut down by staff who refused to sell him anything else.
Speaking Thursday Abell said: ‘He slipped through the cracks.’
He also told how staffers had contacted the FBI after the shooting to remind them about their run-in, but the store’s surveillance tape had since been overwritten….
But even after Abell’s report, the 29-year-old self-radicalized gunman obtained an AR-15 and a semiautomatic pistol from another store in the area, bought stacks of ammunition, then opened fire at Pulse nightclub, where he killed 49 people and wounded 53….
What arrant nonsense. How does the criminally clueless Daily Mail know that he was “self-radicalized? They don’t. It just fits their narrative of how Islam is a religion of peace but its adherents are peculiarly and inexplicably susceptible to being “radicalized” by shadowy forces on the Internet who are somehow able to overwhelm years of teaching of the benign, peaceful Islam that the Daily Mail is sure is taught in every mosque in the West.

All those red flags and smoke signals. Given all these signs, what is the chance that someone by the name of Omar could turn out to be a terrorist and a mass murderer? Huh? Then they stop old ladies and little kids at airports and frisk them.

as long as islam is completely accepted as a religion, one cannot discriminate against them. They have prepared the ground very thoroughly: most people dislike racial profiling and somehow islam is a race…
I like Zuhdi Jasser’s concept: islamopatriotism. It makes clear that Muslims already have a nation (the ummah) they are loyal to and therefore can never be loyal to America or any other civilised nation. We we should make that part of ou counter-narrative.
Dean says
This minute there are Feds investigating conservative churches, so it is a mistake to buy into this notion from the left’s song and dance about religious freedom. Such investigations have been happening since our beginning and the courts correctly upheld Giulianni’s monitoring of Mosques and it was simply politicians that closed it down. Furthermore, immigrant applicants have no Constitutional Rights regarding their religion and the President has the power to place requirements on them for security reasons. Soon after this country’s birth serious patriots considered banning Catholics because of loyalty conflicts with the Pope, but patriotic American Catholics changed their mind with reason not threats that they couldn’t do it. Islam can be completely accepted as a religion but with some beliefs that are incompatible with American culture if practiced and advocated, and he latter can be legally used to deny immigration. From the earliest times in our history Culture was a major consideration in every immigration policy. As an example, freedom of speech did not extend to communist advocacy with immigrants and they were summarily denied Visas. All that Freedom of Religion was intended to protect was to stop the government from infringing on one’s beliefs so long as they did not violate the rights of others. Snake handling in private church ceremonies OK, in public not OK. Once Muslims are citizens they cannot advocate anything that is likely to lead believers to injure other citizens just as Christian oppositions cannot advocate illegal action against legal abortion activities. What the leftists have done is create a special category for Muslims that is novel and never before accorded to any other religion or group and their justifications are all false.

I am not from the US, I’ve had a few interactions (work and getting security clearance) with the FBI, I found them very professional.
So i find incompetence unlikely, this looks like negligence, and as they have a duty to protect, that would make it criminal negligence in ignoring all these red flags. They need to state the cause, overworked/under staffed, or was it orders from above. I suspect the latter, but they have to give an account surly?
RichardL says
all the FBI guys (and gals)I know are utter professionals and the Constitution and the law are holy for them. No negligence. They are ordered by the political level. And they are seething. Wait until they leak the Clinton investigation…
Jack Everett says
The FBI is certainly understaffed and under funded..
I use to have a lot of respect for the FBI until I saw how they are handling these terrorist attacks.
Their is no excuse for allowing the Orlando shooter to slip by or the Boston bombers for that matter. In both instances they were warned about these terrorists.
Our legislative body is just as guilty of allowing these attacks to take place with their phony minute of silence for the victims while taking huge bribes from the NRA to be complacent.
This is only going to get worse until Americans stop making guns a political issue and start supporting good gun checks and regulations.
Every attack costs us more and more innocent lives and billions of dollars and it costs the terrorists nothing.
Doug says
At some point the FBI has become criminally responsible for these murders through their refusal to address the clear and present danger this man posed to the public. Heads of the FBI,DHS,and DOJ need to lose their jobs over this but Congress is gutless.

All boneheads remaining politically correct for barack hussein obama and his muslim sympathizers. The Director of the FBI really believes they did all they could to prevent Orlando. All boneheads.

This is just sooooo bizarre! After not having brought a gun in many years, some time back, ON MY BIRTHDAY, I decided to replace my semi automatic.45 that was lost when our boat sank in a muddy bog.
My own state police held up my purchase for almost a month! Over a traffic ticket that I had got why back in the mid 1970’s.
I had to make about 6-7 phone calls AND be interviewed TWICE by state police detectives.
This is the state that i’ve been living and working in since 1968. And only got ONE TICKET in my entire life.
So how a “suspected TERRORIST” could buy any sort if gun in Florida is just, well BIZZARR!

If the protocol for dealing with a situation is wrong, by design, or due to ignorance..
then officials can ‘honestly’ say they followed the official guidelines ( to appear to have done the right thing – whether or not they believe in to protocol or not )
BUT…
The problem starts at the top, with obama, and like an oil spill, slowly contaminates everything below.
Imagine if a president decreed that the KKK was no longer a racist or hate group, that law enforcement could not label anything a KKK member did as racist or hate, nor could law enforcement use KKK membership to target or investigate members, that KKK members got special accommodations at airports, and were allowed to openly wear their hoods and gowns in public and while at work, ( and people that complain about KKK members wearing hoods and gowns in public were marginalized and accused of hating and bigotry ) And if a black church got burned, or a burning cross appeared in someone’s yard, or someone was found hanging in the woods that the incident could not be labeled racist or hate related nor could KKK beliefs be considered as motivational factors.
Just substitute KKK for Islam, and well, that’s what Obama has done to the USA.

Exactly. It is Muslim Privilege, the kid gloves treatment, and it is set from the Top.
Obama is very intelligent and speaks well in public ( a good Performer), but he was raised as a Muslim and we all know what that means for his primary allegiance. His appointments of Muslim Brotherhood characters to Federal employment and DHS positions is outrageous and traitorous.
What is happening in America right now, from the Presidential Candidates to the Corporate Takeover of our Government, to the willful ignorance about the threat from Islam it is almost unbelievable. Like a science fiction novel.
maghan says
Doubtful whether he is “very intelligent”. Doubtful he speaks well in public–without a teleprompter. What is so intelligent about “hope and change” and “yes, you can”? Yes you can, what?
Only a person of low critical intelligence would be so committed to Islam. “The future will not belong to those who slander the name of the Prophet, Muhammad”. Does this prove intelligence–or otherwise? Only a person of frivolous intelligence would say that “Beyonce rules the world”.

If our FBI can’t identify a Jihad-esq event in the making, with the potential perp in their custody and being questioned three times, what hope is there that we’re ever going to be winners at this?

Geppetto says
Given 36,000 employees (https://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/todays-fbi-acts-figures/facts-and-figures-031413.pdf) it stretches credibility to believe that all could be convinced by a documentation purge (https://www.wired.com/2012/02/hundreds-fbi-documents-muslims/) initiated at the behest of a Muslim Brotherhood organization, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, MPAC (http://www.investigativeproject.org/documents/misc/358.pdf). A more logical if unproven conclusion is that those who represent hierarchal control over these men and women, starting with Obama himself, maintain this control, that is the general reluctance or outright refusal to consider or even mention, any connection of the obvious dots between terrorism, Islam and Muslims, by strict rules that demand obedience as a condition of advancement or employment. Violate the rules and risk demotion, reassignment to some innocuous, inconsequential position in some remote location, or termination, with strictly enforced, post termination gag orders.
If this is the case, all of it could be instantaneously reversed by the next President with the stroke of a pen. Hope and speculation spring eternal.
Adrian says
I pray once Trump gets elected, Robert Spencer will be back educating the FBI and other anti-terrorist staff in Washington and elsewhere…
Then there will be hope that meaningless drivel like “self-radicalized” will be eliminated from any discussion…
“self-radicalized”? u mean like a virus that randomly hits only those with Islam backgrounds?.. what a bunch of malarkey.
Jerry says
What is needed most urgently is not more gun control.
What is needed is Koran Control, Hadith Control
Mosque Control and Islam Control.
Preaching the genocidal contents of the Koran and
the Hadith is hate speech and has been for about
fourteen centuries and cannot be dismissed as
mere rhetoric.
Guns do not become “self-radicalised” and do
not transport and discharge themselves.
If the Orlando club had armed and trained
security personnel and some of the patrons
even if the Islamic Jihadist massacre could
not be totally avoided, maybe some of the
victims would have still been alive today.
If law enforcement agencies were not
shackled by the Obamination’s pro
Muslim policy both the Orlando and
the San Bernardino massacres would
have been avoided.
