In this twelfth segment of my Basics of Islam series, I explain hudud punishments, the punishments for that are mandated by Islamic law and considered to have been commanded by Allah.

Do they not read these things in the Qur’an with horror?
Why are Muslims not deeply ashamed?

Because they’re doing what allah mandates and allah knows best – says so in the quran.

this is why islam is growing so fast in prisons – because it appeals to the unrepentant, debased hearts of rapists murderers thieves, extortionists and pedophiles! All of their behavior is sanctified (made holy) and by doing the above to unbelievers, they gain bonus points to enter the great drunken brothel in the sky!!!!

Converts to islam have no excuse not to spot the problem with Islam immediately.
However, I excuse Muslims by birth for not noticing any of the ‘serious’ problems with islam (I can explain why, but this article does a good job in understanding the formation of a Muslim’s mind).

This is the kind of stuff I love to learn, besides Roberts genius reports! From their point of view. Thanks so much!

Jay Boo,
What you say suggests a social experiment: Find an adult Muslim who has never before read the Quran, and have him (or her), after reading each verse, jot down a number on an disagree-agree scale. How often will this Muslim encounter a passage where he thinks the author of the Quran got it wrong? Do “moderate Muslims” really agree with Allah that people should be *fought* merely because they do not believe as Allah and Muhammad do (9:29)?

Robert, you forgot that death for apostasy is also a hudud law.

String around your wrist as a protection against harassments during Summerfestivals. Handed out by police in Sweden.
Ingenious, is it not? To protect from men not used to such festivals, but to “taharrush”.
(“tafsa” in Swedish means “touching in a bad way”. “Inte” means “not”.)

Sharia: empire of fear and/or path to water? Certainly the amount of hudud present will influence one’s answer.
Thank you Robert as always for your excellent videos and articles. Also please check out Nabeel Qureshi’s video presentation (especially 37 minutes in) to learn more on this and other related bits of Islam: https://youtu.be/YqmAQbSHhdY
More people will learn that Islam is more than just a “religion”…

I thought the cover shot on the video before you click play was pretty cool. There was Robert with a finger in the air in the manner of these jihadis – finger raised to signify “one true God”. Behind him I’m certain is a shot of some famous mosque where he is transported to by the magic of blue screen technology. He certainly has an excellent sense of humour!

Just today a Muslim man with tin can shaped white hat had remarked that he observed me putting alcohol (wine) into my trunk from the store he was approaching. I could only muster the point that “it is allowed.”
Now if I had just seen this video I could have said: “So, you would like to give me 80 lashes?!”
