Harald Lamprecht is right. You remember that radical Christian who shot all those children at a McDonald’s in Munich yesterday. And that radical Christian who killed all those people by driving a truck through a crowd in Nice. And that radical Christian who murdered all those nightclubbers in Orlando. And those radical Christians who murdered so many people at the Brussels airport, and the theatre in Paris, and the Christmas party in San Bernardino, and the military recruiting station in Chattanooga, and on and on and on. Clearly radical Bible groups are a serious threat to peace, and something must be done: churches should be monitored, and required to institute programs to teach against the radical Christian ideology that gives rise to all this violence.
In reality, useful idiots such as Harald Lamprecht should be dismissed from all positions of authority they may hold. I’m sure he could find work at…a McDonald’s in Munich, or at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, or the Bataclan theatre in Paris.
“Protestant Theologian: ‘Radical Bible Groups’ A Bigger Threat To Teens Than Islamism,” by Victoria Friedman, Breitbart, July 22, 2016:
A German protestant theologian said that ‘radical’ bible groups are a bigger radicalisation threat to adolescents than Islamists, and downplayed the number of minors who have converted and left Germany to fight for Islamic State.
Harald Lamprecht, Christian theologian and sect commissioner for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony, in an interview with Der Morgenpost claims that “radical bible groups” are more of a risk to the youths of Saxony than Islamism.
During the interview, in which the theologian was asked to advise parents of how to look out for signs of Islamic radicalisation, he told parents “not to panic” and advised them, rather, to be more prepared to keep watch for warning signs of Christian radicalisation:
“As for the threat of Saxon youths, be prepared for radical Bible groups. They are a much bigger problem than Islamists.”
Downplaying the significance of the 810 young people nationally who have been radicalised by Salafists and Islamist propaganda online and have proceeded to leave Germany to join Islamic State, he pointed to the figures of radicalised youths in Saxony being in “low, single digits”.
Mr. Lamprecht, who speaks to the regional church’s three-quarters of a million members across 719 congregations, advised that interest in the Quran does not equate radicalisation and urged parents to teach their children “the difference between Islam and Islamism”.
Speaking to the German Evangelical News Agency after the Der Morgenpost interview, Mr. Lamprecht attempted to clarify his comments, stating that he did not mean to “equate the terrorist organisation with Christian fundamentalists”, but rather draw a comparison of how Bible study groups outside of mainstream Christianity “radically distort the Bible” with how Salafist groups “twist the Quran”.
He stated: “Such cases [of Christian radicalisation] are purely numerically up more frequently than the current three known cases of successful Islamist radicalisation in Saxony.”
However, the results of Islamic radicalisation and Christian radicalisation are vastly different. A joint study by the German interior ministry and the independent Institute for Criminology Research of Lower Saxony found that devout Muslims in Germany are more prone to violence than Christians.
German state broadcaster Deutsche Welle reported of the research’s findings that “the willingness to commit violent crimes grows” among young Muslims “the more religious they become”, whereas the opposite was true of Christians where “the willingness to commit violent crimes, such as armed robbery or assault and battery, among young Catholics and Protestants decreases with religious fervour”.
Germany has experienced a series of shocking Islamist-inspired attacks by radicalised youths including the stabbing of a police officer by a 15-year-old girl, the bombing of a Sikh temple by teenaged boys, and an axe attack on a train by a 17-year-old Afghan refugee.
The interview came following the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl identified as “Linda” who ran away from her home in Pulsnitz, Saxony, in early July. The parents fear that their daughter has attempted to join Islamic State.
It is believed that the Linda flew to Istanbul, Turkey, intending to travel along one of the various documented routes used by radicalised individuals to get to Syria. Just last year eight British girls travelled to Turkey and onwards to Syria on the so-called “jihadi bride trail”.
Prior to her disappearance family and friends noted that Linda had “changed”. She started to read the Quran, wore a headscarf and Islamic clothing, and told her sister that she converted to Islam.
It has been suggested that Linda was brainwashed by an Islamic State adherent via Facebook. Last year a senior female Islamic State commander who left the terror group has claimed the organisation has a specialised social media grooming unit, where fighters work in shifts to radicalise vulnerable young people online….

Let us see; in the New Testament, Jesus commands us to LOVE our neighbors as our selves and even to love our enemies and do good to those who persecute us. There are NO passages in the New Testament of the Bible that allows or encourages any violence against anyone, so a “radical” Christian would be like Mother Theresa of Calcutta or Franklin Graham.

Not entirely true.Jesus is quoted as saying it would be better if child abusers had a millstone tied around their neck and they be cast into the sea.As an atheist I am right there with Jesus on that one.If we had carried that out however there would a severe shortage of Christian clergy throughout the world and that delightful character Mohammed wouldn’t have got a chance to inspire all these mentally troubled Islamic young men who rape and pillage european towns and cities today. But as Frau Merkel maintains, they are not terrorists just misunderstood youth and we should all go and look at religious pictures in churches to calm down.In the words of that great former tennis player John McEnroe

So along comes the delusional narcisstic desert war -Lord, Mohammd to disturb the peace back then. And for 14 centuries.

JOHN SPIELMAN says
Jesus was not ordering those who lead children into sin to be executed BUT rather comparing the WRATH of God on judgement day which is much greater than being drowned in the sea before one sins by leading children astray!
Western Canadian says
“If we had carried that out however there would a severe shortage of Christian clergy throughout the world ”
ANY organization that has authority or care over children MUST be very vigilant when approving of those to be given the authority or care. The RC church let down its guard, and was pilloried for doing so, as many, too many, young men (most were NOT children) were subject to sexual abuse and rape, usually by adult homosexuals who should not have been accepted into the clergy. And yes, females were also targed for the same sickening abuse and rape. On the other hand, the Boy Scouts of America were very strict in their efforts to keep the young in their care safe…. and were viciously attacked for trying to do so….
And if you were to compare the rates of abuse by RC clergy, public school teachers, scream and shriek ‘pastors’, etc…… public school teachers do NOT come out of the comparison very well….

I think I see how this works. Start with a legitimate dangerous problem that has been demonstrated several times. Then blame it on someone without any role in the problem and/or say they are actually worse than the problem. Introduce more extraneous information to further obfuscate and divide people. Oh, and every time the problem recurs say that it has nothing to do with its actual cause; in fact, say that actually cause is a good thing and propagandize it in order to make those affected become confused and brainwashed to the point that they may actually parrot the falsehood. If they finally catch on, divide and conquer more with violence and/or other discord.
There. Did I miss anything?
Maybe you see this even better than I do…

Such an apt phrase. I visited the website mentioned above (www.confessio.de) to see what it was like. Oh My God. Dear Lord….
One can “select” from among “religions” that include not only the well-recognized Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, and so on, but also Atheism (!), Satanism, Ritual Magick (“Magie” on the website). There are no helpful guides, no adjectives to assist in discerning good from evil. Just “pick one; it doesn’t matter–they’re all the same” text.
BTW: It helps to read German. I couldn’t find any English-language pages.
gravenimage says
More concerning, here’s a whole section on Islam, Cynthia.
I do read German, but put it through Google translate here. The translations are a clunky, but quite clear in their meaning:
“Plea for free civic discourse Islam
The public debate about Islam suffers from too many prohibitions and thought a taboo real problems. It lacks a sober and objective debate on the relationship between Islam, Islamism and jihadism. Then the Berlin historian and political scientist Johannes Kandel pointed in the material service of the Protestant Association for philosophical questions.
In six theses he advocates, the problematic aspects of ‘real dominant’ Islam no longer exclude from the discussion. The numerous Muslims in Germany, who see their Islamic way of life is no contradiction to democracy of the Basic Law, deserve respect. State and civil society need support especially those Muslims who work from within to reform the Islam towards the compatibility of Islam with universal human rights, democracy, pluralism and the rule of law.”
Notice there is no explanation as to *why* Islam might need reform in order to become compatible with civilized values.
Here’s another one:
“appeared dialog Guides
Together with the EKD the Coordination Council of Muslims has published a booklet “dialog guide to encourage the meeting between Christians and Muslims in Germany”. The signed by the EKD Council Chairman Dr. Bedford-Strohm and the spokesman for the Coordination Council Erol Pürlü document initially treated in a concise form the basic principles of dialogue (trust, appreciation, eye level, language barriers, peacefulness) and are in a second section ( ‘Challenging’) Notes for items that can jeopardize dialogue…”
In other words, be careful not to mention that Islam is horribly oppressive and violent. That might “jeopardize dialogue”…
Foolish dhimmis…

What an ignorant man Harold Lamprecht is to make such a fool statement. If ,for example , Harold counts or considers fundamentalist Baptists as “Radical” then he is only exposed just how little he really understand sand knows. .As shown the mid 1970’s There was a Baptist fundamentalist pastor and when he saw a man who he even thought might be a homosexual that cowardly and irrational pastor would literally run away from that man in great fear ,scared that he might be sexually attacked by the “gay” man. Likewise members of his church he likewise behaved in such irrational fear and walked off fast ,away, from a man they even thought might be “gay.” That’s as far racial as those kind of Christians are. In contrast the Sunni Muslims who compose the Islamic “state” brutally murder men is they even thinks might be homosexual Likewise the Shi ite Muslims who have total power in control in the rogue Islamic state of Iran in many heinously malice-filled ways murder men the consider might be homosexuals. As for America there was as Muslim shooter in the city of Orlando . So Harold needs to stop and think before he talks.

Jan Aage Jeppesen says
Harald Lamprecht, Christian theologian and sect commissioner for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony seems to be an admirer of the great German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche who despised Christianity and admired Islam:
I call Christianity the one great curse, the one great intrinsic depravity, the one great instinct of revenge, for which no means are venomous enough, or secret, subterranean and small enough,–I call it the one immortal blemish upon the human race…”
“If Islam despises Christianity, it has a thousandfold right to do so: Islam at least assumes that it is dealing with men. . . .”
“Christianity destroyed for us the whole harvest of ancient civilization, and later it also destroyed for us the whole harvest of Mohammedan civilization. The wonderful culture of the Moors in Spain, which was fundamentally nearer to us and appealed more to our senses and tastes than that of Rome and Greece, was trampled down (–I do not say by what sort of feet–) Why? Because it had to thank noble and manly instincts for its origin–because it said yes to life, even to the rare and refined luxuriousness of Moorish life! . . . The crusaders later made war on something before which it would have been more fitting for them to have grovelled in the dust–a civilization beside which even that of our nineteenth century seems very poor and very “senile.”–What they wanted, of course, was booty: the orient was rich. . . .
Let us put aside our prejudices! The crusades were a higher form of piracy, nothing more! The German nobility, which is fundamentally a Viking nobility, was in its element there: the church knew only too well how the German nobility was to be won . . . The German noble, always the “Swiss guard” of the church, always in the service of every bad instinct of the church–but well paid. . . Consider the fact that it is precisely the aid of German swords and German blood and valour that has enabled the church to carry through its war to the death upon everything noble on earth! At this point a host of painful questions suggest themselves. The German nobility stands outside the history of the higher civilization: the reason is obvious. . . Christianity, alcohol–the two great means of corruption. . . . Intrinsically there should be no more choice between Islam and Christianity than there is between an Arab and a Jew.
The decision is already reached; nobody remains at liberty to choose here. Either a man is a Chandala or he is not. . . . “War to the knife with Rome! Peace and friendship with Islam!”: this was the feeling, this was the act, of that great free spirit, that genius among German emperors, Frederick II. What! must a German first be a genius, a free spirit, before he can feel decently? I can’t make out how a German could ever feel Christian. . . .”

Carmel says: “I suggest the biggest problem here is christian theologian . What do you think ?”
Nah. I don’t think he’s either one.
Looking at the photo, this guy looks like he’s somewhere around 40 years old, give or take 5 years. That means he was born in the ’70s and went to university, perhaps even secondary school, after the Reunification in 1989 (Collapse of the Wall), when the socialist theorists of West Germany were in charge of education. So long as he spouted back what he heard from them, his degrees and certificates were assured. The Lutheran Church is tax-supported in Germany; therefore, my hypothesis is that he was ordained in West Germany (or former West Germany) and has now found a position in Saxony (former East Germany). It’s not necessary for a Lutheran pastor to have a congregation in Germany to draw a salary.
Interestingly, Saxony is where PEGIDA was born perhaps a year and a half ago. The Ossies (former East Germans) remember all too well what it’s like to live under an authoritarian regime and thus resist the “Islamisierung” of their country. However, most Ossies also were raised in a religious vacuum or were forced to be atheist (communist) and don’t have a gut knowledge of Christianity or other Western traditions. The Ossies were completely isolated, in ways that even the Polish, Hungarians, and others were not.
Thus this miserable excuse for a Christian theologian (wrong on BOTH counts!) can sit in Saxony blathering away because no one pays attention to him–and if he spouts such cr*p, who can blame them? Now, if a true Christian voice were raised, some would hearken. He, however, Is. Not. That. Voice.

They found justification for race hatred in the Bible:
“The inequalities of the Races have never been more apparent than that in the Bible. Here are just a few Bible scriptures:
Exodus 33:16 “So shall we be separated: I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the Earth”
Leviticus 20:24 ” I am the Lord they God which have separated you from other people”
Joshua 23:12-13 “If you do in any way go back and cleave unto the remnants of these Nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in unto them and they unto you: Know for a certainty That there shall be snares and traps unto you, and scourges in your side and thornes in your eyes. Until ye perish off from this good land which the Lord your God has given you.”
The list goes on and on: Deuteronomy 7:3, Proverbs 23:27, Psalm 144:11-12, Hosea 5:6-7. So We, the True Chosen people of God, the True Tribes of Israel, are commanded not to Race mix. We are NOT EQUAL IN THE EYES OF YAHWEH.”

God had named a Man Abraham (meaning a Father of Many Nations)…What Nations…the One called Israel today is just a single nation…Abraham Had a Son Named Isaac…and Isaac had a Son named Jacob…God changed Jacob’s name to Israel…and Israel had Twelve Sons…One was named Judah…He is the One all of the Jews come from (Just Like all Californians are Americans…yet most Americans are not Californians) All Jews are part of Israel…most of Israel are not Jews…We know a large part of Judah is in a Country called Israel today and some Jews live elsewhere…But Where is the rest of Israel not the Jews, but the rest of Israel (more than a Billion People somewhere) where are they Today…What Nations did they become…Why Does the God of The Christian Bible Keep Mentioning…this Israel…h’m.

Well, from MY point of view, we should not compare the bible ( or any other religious book ) with the coran. We should compare it with the Québec civil code ( in quebec), the Canada criminal code, the canadian chartef of rights and freedoms, the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights. And whatever is equivalent in the U.S. for state laws and federal laws, the U.S. constitution and it’s amendments…… etc.
Those are the laws we follow….. and THAT is what needs to be compared to the coran.
Just my 2 cents.
Carolyne says
I believe your two cents to be worth much more than two cents. Our law is not the Bible, but the civil and criminal codes and sayings which in some aspects resemble the Code of Hammurabi which precede Jesus by many centuries. “An eye for an eye” is one example. The Hammurabi codes even set a minimum wage.
But my point is not to try to dissuade anyone from Christianity. It is simply to point out that many do not believe in religion at all and wish not only freedom of religion, but freedom from religion as well. A religious belief is only true for the person who believes it. It is not an empirical truth.
Bezelel says
Gary Devouges and Carolyne, I’m not taking issue with either of your comments when I point out the topic of the article is about the remarks made by a “Theologian”. Since neither of you claim to be one your comments from MY point of view, are off topic. Men and women of conscience have been around a long time and some have found themselves in positions of authority. That is not the point. That’s just my two cents.

Lamprecht: “Radical Bible groups are a much bigger problem than radical Islamists”
Let me see now, Radical Islamists kill people and radical Christians do not so the statement by Harald Lamprecht apparently makes no sense at all. The questions to ask here are:
1. What is a radical Bible Group?
2. What is the basis for Lamprecht’s thought that “radical Bible groups” are worse than radical Islamists?
Perhaps someone who reads German could give us an idea as to Lamprecht’s logic. (or lack thereof as the case may be)
Cynthia in California says
I only checked out the website. I didn’t look for a statement attributable to Lamprecht. Will look again….
Ted Tyler says
make that – “radical Christians – with few exceptions – do not kill people”. As I recall, there have been a few killings of abortion doctors.
Cynthia in California says
Yes, Dr. George Tiller was killed in his own church. Dr. Barnett Slepian was killed in the kitchen of his own home by someone with a high-powered rifle. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-abortion_violence#United_States for more assassinations and attempted assassinations in the name of “preventing” violence on the part of self-described “Christians.” However, the numbers of the dead do not begin to approach those left in the dust of Islam.
Eric Rudolph, another “militant Christian,” set off the Atlanta Olympics bomb, bombed an Alabama health clinic (maiming some staff, killing others), and attacked two other known locations (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Rudolph for his basic bio).
Rudolph used his “Christianity” as an excuse for violence, but if one reads his statement re. the Atlanta Olympics bombing, it’s clear that he was acting with a political, not religious, viewpoint. (Although he mentions “abortion on demand,” it comes at the very end, after a political screed.)
Ted Tyler says
Thanks Cynthia, Yes we do have a few instances of possible “Christian” violence. I did a quick search on Google for “radical Bible groups” and came up with nothing additional.
I did see many people giving politically correct responses – and usually no reasons for why they reached their conclusions. So what is true? Well, one thing we can say: “If you want to justify violence using Christian texts, it is very difficult, but if you want to justify violence using Islamic texts, it is very easy.”
Western Canadian says
“Yes, Dr. George Tiller was killed in his own church.”
That a piece of vicious garbage like tiller was considered fit for membership in a church that claims to be ‘christian’, says a great deal about the pastor and congregation of the church.. worthless hypocrites, without exception….. They are the same kind of ‘Christians’ who kept or traded in slaves, or cooperated with the nazis in the murder of Jews. That you didn’t suggest tiller the killer as an example of a so called christian engaging in an incredibly vicious and barbaric form of violence, is almost amusing. The so called ‘christians’ who sell out to whatever violence for coins are the ones who should be shunned and condemned…. That some people snap and take the law into their own hands, is a crime in and of itself. But to compare someone trying to stop mass murder…. and compare them to devout muslims, beggers belief. IF a devout Christian in the military, in the role of a sniper, kills a genocide bomber before said bomber enters a crowed of children, would you also condemn him or her?
Luke says
Is this an outlandish movie? Is the Christian west in actual suicidal meltdown? Are human beings actually capable of such extreme cognitive failure?

And one of Robert Spencer’s excellent books pertains to this subject …
“Religion of Peace?: Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t”
Christianity or Islam: which is the real “religion of peace”?
Almost any liberal pundit will tell you that there’s a religion bent on destroying our Constitution, stripping us of our liberties, and imposing religious rule on the U.S. And that religion is . . .Christianity! About Islam, however, the Left is silent–except to claim a moral equivalence between the two: if Islam has terrorists today, that’s nothing compared to the Crusades, inquisitions, and religious wars in Christianity’s past.
But is this true? Are conservative Christians really more of a threat to free societies than Islamic jihadists? Is the Bible really “just as violent” as the Qur’an? Is Christianity’s history really as bloodstained as Islam’s? In Religion of Peace? Why Christianity Is and Islam Isn’t, New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer not only refutes such charges, but also explains why Americans and Europeans must regain an appreciation of our Christian heritage if we ever hope to defeat Islamic supremacism. In this eye opening work, Spencer reveals:
* The fundamental differences between Islamic and Christian teachings about warfare against other religions: “Love your enemies” vs. “Be ruthless to the unbelievers”
* The myth of Western immorality and Islamic puritanism and why the Islamic world is less moral than the West
* Why the Islamic world has never developed the distinction between religious and secular law that is inherent in Christianity
* Why Christianity has always embraced reason–and Islam has always rejected it
* Why the most determined enemies of Western civilization may not be the jihadists at all, but the leftists who fear their churchgoing neighbors more than Islamic terrorists
* Why Jews, Christians, and peoples of other faiths (or no faith) are equally at risk from militant Islam
Spencer writes not to proselytize, but to state a fact: Christianity is a true “religion of peace,” and on it Western civilization stands. If we are not to perish under Islam’s religion of the sword–with its more than 100 million active jihadists seeking to impose sharia law–we had better defend our own civilization.

Harald Lamprecht is clearly taking aim at the wrong enemy.
Oceanside says
The “church” in Germany is mostly full of people (especially leaders) who are NOT Christian.
Which helps explain why it’s so easy for “refugees” to “convert” to Christianity and get more state $$$ in Germany.
Carlos Danger says
“sect commissioner” is that like a Komissar?
German protestants…..lol.
Fed Foo says
Someone who doesn’t know Islam spoke as if he was an Islamic scholar. Shame on him.
Doesn’t he know that if he goes to Syria or Iraq, he will end up having his head separated from the body?
Kepha says
People like Zen Unitarian theologian Harald Lamprecht are one reason why modern Europe is so unchurched. Their strategy is to roll over and play dead whenever their cultured despisers tell them to. Maybe, if young Germans studied the Bible and went back to church, they’d demand that people like Herr Doktor Lamptrecht be fired. Lamprecht probably knows that and it scares him.
robm says
He must be one of Kerrys buds, equally insane

Richard Paulsen says
Could it be longtime sympathy between Germany and islamis countries like Turkey causing such strange views?
Germany and islamic countries cooperating during WW2 and long Before.

The biggest problem is that some progressive governments are starting to put the crazy teachings of these false Christian theologians into practice. Not long ago, Denmark took away the children of a Russian Christian family because the family was too Christian and could have radicalized the children.
Cynthia in California says
How horrible! I completely missed that story. Do you have a link, please? thank you
gravenimage says
I don’t know about Denmark, but I found a similar appalling story from Norway:
http://www.churchmilitant.com/news/article/norwegian-govt.-seizes-5-children-from-parents-for-alleged-christian-indoct
Cynthia in California says
Yes, appalling. These countries are laying themselves down before Islam, with NO VISIBLE MEANS of moral support! If the Bodnariu family must remain separated for “excessive Christianity,” why on earth doesn’t Norway break up the “excessively Islamic” families living there???
linnte says
This is so surreal! Millions of Muslims in Europe with an ideology of hate, and this family was targeted? Now I know for sure this is the end times.
Mark Swan says
Thanks graven image, for the link, there is something fishy with this militant government,
willing to traumatize a family like this on hear say.

Very sad and very shocking. And instigated by a principal from a government school. No, we must not contradict the approved ideologies of the government brainwashing centers.

Quote: “Harald Lamprecht, Christian theologian”
This has to be a typo. No “Christian”…theologian or otherwise would tell such lies.
Christians are truthful. Christians encourage, admonish, support, assist, others, esp their brothers in Christ.
This guy is a tool of satan and satans beast. No one should listen to a word he says. If he wants to *take it back*….he’ll have to take all of it back, not try to deflect as though he said something different or meant something different. And he’ll have to do as Christ said and seek to be forgiven by God for the lies he has told.
There is the wild beast from satan (Revelation 13) and there are the adherents of this wild beast (known by the term moslim) and there are enablers of the wild beast and these are all of the people who deny that islam is the problem, islam is the source of terrorism, islam is evil, or claim that it is equal to Christianity, that its false god is the same as the True God of the Bible, or that Christians are a bigger problem than moslims.
Guys like this one are truly disgusting. He should hold his head in shame, and repent in dust and ashes.

There’s a lot of witless “political correctness” among some Christians, just as there are among others in the West.

Interesting…After the Orlando attack, some gay people were saying they were more afraid of Christians than the Jihadi’s.
That, among other things, would make for some interesting history lessons, talks and debates I would think.
An interesting study/survey might be to ask a cross section of the populace, ‘which is to be more feared?’
When someone states…’Well Christianity is violent too’, or “has been just as violent”, or, ‘The Bible is just as violent as the Quran,’ seems, a good first question to engage that would simply be, “Well, is there really an ‘equivalency’ here? Let’s investigate the statement”…

Yes–that was the same sort of idiocy.

These people are utterly amazing. How can so many people be so disconnected from reality? Well, Robert, the liberals are right about there being an epidemic of mental illness, but it’s they themselves that are mentally ill, not the jihadis.

Harald Lamprecht–is neither a Biblical Christian–nor is he a theologian. He is an ecumenist liar–he is clearly anti-Christ, and is pro Islamic terror. The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Saxony–is an anti-Christ ecumenical organization–not protestant, i.e., evangelical, and not Biblically Christian.
Lambrecht is a Devil in Priest's clothing. says

Unqualified and unsuited for his position. He should be warning his friends about the danger that is islam, radical or not.
He should resign, or be fired. He certainly should be opposed.

It should be pointed out that if this ‘theologian’ knows of any “radical Bible groups” that are planning violence (i.e., the wrong kind of radicals) then he should be reporting them to the authorities. The idea that the Christian church was hanging people in the early 19th for saying stupid things is utterly false.

Another useless idiot who claims to be “Christian”. Evidently, he has a brain wiring problem. IOW, he’s nuts.
Les says
A Protestant railing against a Catholic? What a shock! SARC OFF. By definition a Protestant is someone who protests against the Church which was founded by Jesus Christ and is headed today by the Pope who is the successor of St Peter
Carolyne says
Well, Les–there you go. Martin Luther did indeed rail against the practices and power of the priests of the Catholic Church, not Christianity, I can find no basis in the New Testament for the existence of a Pope other than Christ saying to Peter, “On you I will build my church.” How does this justify the power and greediness of past Popes? The gold and treasures in the Vatican? The Vatican itself? On what basis does the Catholic Church rationalize celibacy of its priests–Only on Paul’s words? That being celebate is desirable but if you can’t, well OK.
I will not even go into carrying an old fat man around in a chair as they used to do. I always thought carrying him around in a Cadillac would have been more appropriate–or perhaps a Lamborghini. Do you know that at one time there were two opposing Popes? One in Italy and one in France?
Quoting Obama (For whom I hold no respect because I do not respect Islam) “Before you get on your high horse,” you might wish to investigate the reasons for the rise of Protestantism. It was a protestation against the excesses of Catholic hierarchy and the maltreatment of the common man.
Lioness says

It is painful to hear of such demented people. Is there any hope for someone so idiotic? Doesn’t he provide a good argument for mercy-killing to put him out of his misery?
Tim says
NO, no. I partly agree with him. Someday Christian groups are going to get fed up with being the victims of the muslims and they’re going to let all their anger out at one time. Which means that islam will cease to exist and there will be no more jihad.
Karen says
What a dummkopf Herr Lamprecht is. His own Islam-loving government admits that Christians become less violent as their religiosity increases.

Hell is more likely to freeze over before you’ll ever hear an imam acknowledging that there are radical elements within Islam furthermore declaring that “ISIS or other jihadists are more dangerous than the congregation of Presbyterian grandmothers.

The radical Christians that I am aware of tend to be rather violent. they are the KKK, neo-Nazis, White supremacists, anti abortionists who bomb clinics and kill doctors, Haters who go after the LGBT. Militias who take over federal lands, bomb federal buildings. Since they are white Christian Americans, they get a pass. they are here and they are ours. it is harder to rail against them because they are us.
gravenimage says
My God, what crap. This apologist for evil says this with a straight face while just this week in Europe Jihadists have run down 84 people in Nice; launched an ax attack on a train, gunned down nine victims–many of them kids–at a mall, and murdered a pregnant women in a machete attack, all in Germany; and now beheaded an elderly priest in rural France.
As for going after LGBT victims, it was another Muslim–not a Christian–who slaughtered 49 gay people at a Florida nightclub–the worst shooting in American history.

The KKK who attacked churches, the Nazis that despised Christianity, militias who bomb federal buildings (which ones and when?), white supremacists (apparently the KKK were not white supremacists – who would have figured?), who go after people based on their race – all “radical Christians”, despite none of their driving force being actual Christianity. As for people who kill doctors who perform abortions – and excluding people who kill people that just happen to be doctors that perform abortions – Christians as they may be, they are not representative of any mainstream Christian sect. Finally, regarding the haters who go after the LGBT – was it a Christian that shot up a night club recently?
“ Since they are white Christian Americans, they get a pass.”
