French PM: “France is going to have to live with terrorism”

Why not identify its cause, fight it, and eradicate it instead? There were no jihad terror attacks in France in the 1970s and 1980s. What has changed? Why not examine that?

But this defeatism is not surprising. Valls has predecessors who long ago said: “France is going to have to live with Nazism.”

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said on Friday that the country was “faced with a war” after a suspected Islamist extremist attack in the southern city of Nice a day earlier that left at least 84 people dead.

A suspected terrorist rammed a truck into revelers in the city’s Promenade des Anglais in an attack that French President Francois Hollande said was of an “undeniable terrorist nature.” The French Interior Ministry confirmed that scores had been injured, with 18 victims in a critical condition.

Valls announced that the state of emergency put in place after the Paris attacks would be extended for a further three months to October after the deadly attack that came on France’s Bastille Day.

“Times have changed, and France is going to have to live with terrorism, and we must face this together and show our collective sangfroid,” he said.

“France is a great country and a great democracy and we will not allow ourselves to be destabilized,” he added.

“We want to bring the French nation together. The only dignified response (to the attack) is for France to stick with the spirit of July 14, a France that is united around its values.”…

To pretend that the victims are totally innocent is to close the eyes on reality. They had a choice, like americans do now. We don’t live in a vacuum. To be firm with jihad we have to be firm with ourselves. Leave vigils to women, old and children.

  5. The French are very good at surrender. It’s a much practiced cultural value in the last few generations.

    There is ZERO practicality in France.

    France is more interested in licensing it’s hairdressers (yes seriously) then even asking a few simple questions to a Muslim immigrant.

    For decades French people with any ambition have been bailing out and moving to other countries.

    Some of the other countries in Europe might be capable of eventually turning around and dealing with the Sharia Muslims. Germany, Italy etc.

    France? Not a chance. The world will be able to point at France soon as a failed experiment in decades of Muslim NON INTEGRATION and burgeoning civil war.

    • When has France surrendered? Napoleon fought to the last. Norman France successfully invaded England in 1066. WW1 the French valiantly fought for victory. French capitulated under a massive invasion during WW2, even the British had to retreat back to Britain.

At first that jihadist opened fired into a group of people and then he plowed into and through, with a large truck, a crowd of people. In that deadly Islamic terror attack in Nice it was so awful and hideous that one witness, just after that Islamic terror attack, described the scene as “bodies everywhere.” Another wittiness said “I was standing in blood, It’ everywhere.” This Islamic jihadist attack in Nice resulted in 84 murdered and dozens injured. This violent and heinous murderous action of Islamic violence is based on the violence and killing that is part of the doctrines of the Koran, as some call Islam’s “holy book” the Qur’an . To give only a few of many example of this from the Koran is Sura 2:191 which instructs “Kill the disbelievers wherever you fine them.” Likewise, the Koran also teaches “Whenever you encounter the unbeliever’s strike of their heads, until you make a great slaughter among them…” Sura 47:4. Let’s face it , using a firearm and a truck can sure make a greater “slaughter among them” then a sword can . In addition, that jihad –minded Muslim also died in the brutal and deadly Islamic attack. This too is Koranic based. For the Koran instructs “The believers fight in Allah’s Cause, they slay and are slain, they kill and are killed.” Sura 9:111. So it’s not wise to be taken in as in fool as or snowed , by the many apologists for Islam who make the false claim that “Islam is a peaceful religion that was hijacked by criminal for politics” That is a lame attempt to hide as in cover up the violent and deadly essence of that religion which is Islam.

  27. Some words of advice for the French PM and for any politician around the world who wants to stop their citizens being potential bowling pins in a Jihadist bowling alley:
    France does not need to live with terrorism. All that is required is the political will to pass laws that enable the Government to round up all the suspected jihadist the intelligence agencies have identified and either incarcerate them – if they are French born to French born parents; or deport them.

    To the French people: Contact your politicians now and demand they introduce internment and deportation of suspected jihadists. And if they refuse then remember that at the next election and vote for a political party that will.

  33. I don’t recall us living with Nazism 76 years ago. Where are the Churchillian speeches backed with action? Churchill swore to gain us victory whatever the cost. That has to be the maxim today, not in 10 years time when the non-Muslim part of the West will be top heavy with 50-plusses, meaning the vast bulk of that particular part of the population will be outside the combat age range, up against a Muslim population less than half the age.
