A glutton for punishment, I turned to the Vatican paper, L’Osservatore Romano, to read the Pope’s exact words, in the original Italian, about the killing of the indomitable priest in Rouvray. Here is what the Pope had to say to the journalists flying with him to Cracow:
“When I speak of war, I’m talking about real war, not a “war of religion, no!” the Pope exclaimed. And then he extended his thought further: “There are wars over interests of all kinds, wars over money, wars over natural resources, wars fought to establish dominion over other peoples: those are all real wars. Someone might think: “You’re talking about wars of religion.” No. All religions want peace. It’s others [the non-religious] who want war. You understand?”
And he then started to talk about a ”war” being conducted piecemeal, which according to him better described the current situation than the term “insecurity,” On the question of war, he maintained that “there was the war of 1914, with its methods, then the war of 1939-45, another world war, and now there is this one. It’s an organized campaign, although not planned at every step.”
Take a minute to rub your eyes in disbelief. Apparently the Pope, like the shallowest campus Marxist-Leninist, believes that all wars are caused by conflict over resources of one kind or another: land, natural resources, populations to be plundered. Apparently the Pope, the head of the Catholic Church, cannot believe that religion can ever be the cause of wars. Apparently the Pope has never heard of the Wars of Religion with which the Papacy was deeply involved over several centuries. Apparently the Pope believes that once a set of beliefs manages to be called a “religion,” it immediately is transformed into some kind of ambulating peaceable kingdom, incapable of participating in, much less causing, a war. For Pope Francis, the apparent template for wars are the two world wars, which were indeed over such interests as land (Hitler’s lust for Lebensraum), resources (Japan’s Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere), or simple military rivalry (such as that between Germany and Great Britain, for control of the seas, which was of such importance before World War I). But even if the many wars of religion in Europe have slipped his mind, let’s help him, and fish up from the Lesser Lethe, with the aid of Wikipedia, some of those wars of religion:
The German Peasants’ War (1524–1525)
- The battle of Kappelin Switzerland (1531)
- The Schmalkaldic War(1546–1547) in the Holy Roman Empire
- The Eighty Years’ War (1568–1648) in the Low Countries
- The French Wars of Religion (1562–1598)
- The Thirty Years’ War (1618–1648), affecting the Holy Roman Empire including Habsburg Austria and Bohemia, France, Denmark and Sweden
- The Wars of the Three Kingdoms (1639–1651), affecting England, Scotland and Ireland
- Scottish Reformation and Civil Wars
- English Reformation and Civil War
- Irish Confederate Wars and the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland
I can understand someone not being able to remember the Schmalkaldic War, but the Eighty Years’ War? The French Wars of Religion? The Thirty Years’ War? Even the most basic course on European history would cover these. Why does the Pope overlook them? Or does he assume that those “wars of religion” were really about something else, and if so, what?
Even until very recently, we could still find in Europe the smoldering embers of a “war of religion” between Catholic and Protestant in Northern Ireland. Surely the Vatican hasn’t forgotten the Rev. Ian Paisley, the intermittent firebrand behind that conflict’s flare-ups.
But why limit ourselves to the wars of religion in Europe? Does the Pope recall the Biafra War (1967-69) between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria, a war that began when Muslims – Hausa and Fulani – conducted “pogroms” against Christians in the north? And then, in response, the southern Christians attempted to declare the independent state of Biafra. It was the Biafran head of state, Colonel Ojukwu, who in his Ahiara Declaration described the Muslim campaign as nothing less than a “jihad” to Islamize the south:
“Our Biafran ancestors remained immune from the Islamic contagion. From the middle years of the last century Christianity was established in our land. In this way we came to be a predominantly Christian people. We came to stand out as a non-Muslim island in a raging Islamic sea. Throughout the period of the ill-fated Nigerian experiment, the Muslims hoped to infiltrate Biafra by peaceful means and quiet propaganda, but failed. Then the late Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto tried, by political and economic blackmail and terrorism, to convert Biafrans settled in Northern Nigeria to Islam. His hope was that these Biafrans of dispersion would then carry Islam to Biafra, and by so doing give the religion political control of the area. The crises which agitated the so-called independent Nigeria from 1962 gave these aggressive proselytizers the chance to try converting us by force.”
What about the Hindus and Muslims at each other’s throats in 1947, at the time of partition in India, when hundreds of thousands died, and many more millions, both Hindus and Muslims, sought refuge among their coreligionists on one or the other side of the lines of partition? What about the war carried on for decades by the northern Muslims against the southern Christians in Sudan, a war that ended only when the country was split in two?
And what does the Pope think explains the continuing Muslim attacks on Christian communities in Iraq and Syria, and on a smaller scale, against Christians in Pakistan, and Bangladesh, and Indonesia, on Hindus in Kashmir, on Buddhists in Bangladesh, attacks which have nothing to do with land, or natural resources or money, but only with the spread and dominance of Islam? Why does the Pope think churches are attacked? Or Christian girls kidnapped in Nigeria by Boko Haram and then either converted to Islam or used as sex slaves by Muslim fighters? How can the Pope overlook so much?
What land, money, or natural resources did the Yazidis possess that Muslims coveted? They have nothing, but they are being subject to a genocidal campaign by ISIS for one reason: because they are not Muslim. The Bamiyan Buddhas were blown up by the Taliban, because statuary is forbidden in Islam, and because the visible signs of other religions are to be vandalized or, if possible, destroyed, as part of asserting the rightful dominance of Islam. Pope Francis won’t allow himself to believe that Muslims believe in Jihad, that is, in Islamic Holy War, a war to spread Islam. A cursory search suggests that he has never even used the word. Religion, he claims, being A Good Thing, can never be the real cause of war, ever. Take it from him; he knows. As the Pope told the reporters, “Capito?” [“Understand?” or “Get it?”]. Ipse dixit.
But what about what we read in the Qur’an and Hadith? The Pope is silent on their contents. Presumably he believes they must not be taken by non-Muslims at face value. Instead, we should accept the assurances of Muslims with whom we engage in “dialogue,” who, when not managing to divert our attention from those texts, allow us to believe that terrorists rely on a “twisted” interpretation. The Pope steers clear of confronting those texts. Were he to study them, and discuss them truthfully, he would have to admit that despite all his talk about the essential peacefulness of all religions, one religion, Islam, today, as for the past 1400 years, places great importance on Jihad, a holy war to spread the faith across the globe, not for the sake of natural resources, land, or money (those “interests” the Pope insists explains all wars), but so that Islam can everywhere dominate, and Muslims rule, everywhere. And that would mean he would then have a big problem on his hands. He would have to recognize that pieties about peace, and all that “dialogue” to date with representatives of Islam, have merely been occasions for Muslims to listen to Christian mea-culpas, and that the Islamization of Europe, through demography, constitutes the greatest threat to its survival that Christianity has ever faced.
And if the reason two Muslims entered a church in Normandy, and slit the throat of a priest when he refused to kneel down at their command (according to a nun who was present) just possibly had something to do with religion, then the Pope has a lot of ‘splainin to do about quite a few things, including his lecturing Europeans on the need to let millions of Muslim migrants in, just to show how nice Christians are, and what, aside from “dialogue,” he thinks might be done to safeguard Christians and other non-Muslims. Even now, after the latest Muslim atrocity, he’s content to keep whistling in the dark and to give Islam, because it is a “religion,” what appears to be a permanent pass. “Credo quia absurdum” – I believe because it is absurd — is the famous phrase of Tertullian, a Father of the Church who came from North Africa, where Christianity once flourished and then was almost wiped out, someone should remind the Pope, when the Muslim Arabs invaded and spread Islam, as they are still spreading Islam, by terrorism, by demography, and even by “dialogue” in Europe, and everywhere else they can.

This response by Pope Francis goes to show how religion can corrupt sound thinking and good morals. He want’s to see the best in the enemy, even if it means we die and lose everything. It’s a case of ignoring reality at the expense of human lives and peace. There’s nothing righteous or holy about ignoring the evil truth. If the Christian god is a god of truth then so should the keeper of his faith be a man of truth. That’s where it starts. There’s no wisdom or love of humanity in ignoring islam’s history and tradition of jihad war against the infidel. Jesus was a man of conviction, and to me that’s what made him great. He didn’t shy away from condemning the hypocrisy and moral weakness among the leaders of his day. I don’t see that in Pope Francis’s response to islam’s jihad attack on infidels. It’s obviously not true that all religions want peace, islam is at heart a doctrine of war. This all proves in my mind that the Pope’s agenda is one of conciliation and submission to islam. This cowardliness is itself a kind of evil. Decent humanity needs leaders of truth and conviction and good morals willing to make a stand for human rights and dignity. Presently I do not consider Pope Francis among those chosen for that task.
El Cid says
I’m afraid you may miss the point. The current Pope is expressing a materialistic ideology that comes directly from Marx. Otherwise, he would first recognize the religious aspect of this war. The leftist point of view is that every conflict can be explained by a economic imbalance.
The truth is that both models apply all the time. Of course there is an economic struggle. Of course, there is a religious dimension.
If you read the Pope’s words carefully, you can see that he understands all of this all too well. He just hasn’t joined the fight yet. His predecessor tried, and was beaten down for his effort.

Correct here. And there is a big inconsistency because Marx quipped that “religion is the opiate of the people” implying that people can be driven to commits of terror purely on the basis of the opiate of religion–as is the case of Islam.
As an aside, the author shows himself to be uninformed about the Biafran war. Not about religion at all but the material interests of the separatists who wanted to have full control over the oil producing areas of Nigeria–based in the South East. The top military men of the national Army were Christians: Gowon, Obasanjo and others.

Well spoken! “This cowardliness is itself a kind of evil.” Right on, only I’m not sure it is cowardliness or willful blindness, but either way it is “a kind of evil”. Afterall, this man is the leader of an institution that pretends to concern itself with at least the spiritual well being of many millions of people. The Pope is leading his faithful followers astray. Leading them into harm’s way. Like lambs to the slaughter. Culpable negligence! This Pope has jumped the shark.

Agree. Francis lives in the 1960s with a flower-power Catholicism.
He’d better stop this trendier-then-thou mix of Marxism and religion before the faithful (people equipped with historical knowledge like Fitzgerald and Spencer) quietly walk out the door and stop donating their hard-earned cash to a papal fool.
The Curia made a bad mistake thinking Francis would solve their problems. He could live long and destroy the church.

The pope needs to have a reality check. For all those Islamic terror attacks around the world are ,indeed, Islamic. That is those murderous jihad attacks are ,very much based on religion. The religion of Islam For Islam’s “holy book” the Qur ‘an [the Koran] instructs on the uses of violence and killing for the advancement of Islam. As found in ,for example 2:191. 4:89. 5:33. 9:5,111,123. 47:4. Furthermore, it may be illustrated that if Islam is represented as a tree then the fruits then the fruits of that tree are the many brutal, violent and deadly jihad terror entities. Such as ISIS, Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, al Shabaab , Hamas, Hezbollah, P.I.J. etc. With this statement, the Wisdom of the teachings of Jesus may, very much, apply to this subject. For Jesus taught “Ye do know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” After saying this Jesus told them what He told them when He said “By their fruit ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:16, 17, 18,.20. [K.J.V.] In conclusion, Islam is a corrupt tree and also a false religion, Proverbs 14:12. John 14:6. First John 2:22,23. 4:14,15. 5:12,13,20.

It’s called Christianity, and the Jewish king is Jesus the Messiah and the documents detailing the plan are the New Testament. I cheerfully, humbly, and gratefully own myself part of it.
Or, perhaps, it was launched in the Garden of Eden when God promised that the Seed of the Woman would bruise the head of the serpent…

……………………………….
This video rants about the “Lucifarian” Illuminati–there is actually no mention that Jews are behind this. “King Tut” seems unaware that the conspiracy theory video he linked to, although pretty unhinged–for instance, these idiots seem unable to grasp that the “wizards” of the Ku Klux Klan are not *actual* wizards–does not even support “King Tut’s” own antisemitic views.
The video repeatedly cites conspiracy theorist William Guy Car–this great seer claimed that WWIII would start within five years of 1952, and that countries would align either with the Soviet Union or the West, and that this would end with no more religion and no more white race. He does not actually mention Islam at all. This scenario is clearly a cold war fantasy.
But the morons behind this video claim that 9/11 was “blamed” on Islam–which suggests that “King Tut”, in addition to all his other disgusting qualities, is likely a “Truther” who does not believe that Jihad exists.
More, to Western Canadian:

……………………………….
Why is “King Tut” quoting a music manager–does he consider him another “prophet” like the loons cited in the video? We never took any of Iraq’s oil–it didn’t even pay for the war, as George Bush had hoped. By the way, Afghanistan ranks *66th* in the world for natural gas reserves, behind even Denmark and Italy–so invading Afghanistan for their oil seems like a *really* bad idea. Moreover, it remains so dangerous and chaotic there that few of these meager reserves have been able to be tapped.
As for the proposed Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline, that has not been built. Moreover, it would run through Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey–it has nothing at all to do with Afghanistan or Iraq.

Who is “King Tut” quoting here? Does it even much matter? And thing nuts ‘knowledge’ of the illuminati, is as lacking as his knowledge on everything else! Hope I didn’t shock anyone with that revelation!
Some Q/A with a former illuminati trainer:
Q: I’ve received some Neo-Nazi-white power-invitations through e-mail. I’ve read some of the stuff and (to put it short) they argue with considerable elegance – backed up with historical “facts”- that the Illuminati, of course, is a Jewish Conspiracy, and that Hitler was “on to them”, and we all know what happened next. My simple question: Is the Illuminati a JEWISH conspiracy?
A: My answer: absolutely not. In fact, Hitler and his people (especially Himmler and Goebbels) were top Illuminists. The Illuminati are racist in the extreme, and as a child, I was forced to play “concentration camp” both on my farm in Virginia, and also in Europe in isolated camps in Germany.
The Jews historically fought against the occult. See Deuteronomy and the Old Testament for how God through the Jewish people tried to cleanse the land of the occult groups that were operating there, such as those who worshipped Baal, Ashtarte, and other Canaanite and Babylonian gods.
Since the Illuminati trace their roots to these ancient fertility deities, they also have an in-ground antithesis to the Jewish race. Also, I would never trust literature sent to me by Neo-Nazi or any extremist hate groups, since they are founded on the tenets of racism, egalitarianism, the concept of a master race, and other things that are also espoused strongly by the Illuminati and many other occult groups. Simply put, this group was lying to you, and counting on your not knowing that Nazism was founded by German Illuminists.
Q: The dream of someone wanting to rule the world is nothing new, obviously. History is littered with failed attempts to conquer the world and subjugate the population. How old is the dream for the ’NEW WORLD ORDER’ per se, by the Illuminati?
A: The Illuminati themselves teach that they have been around for centuries and centuries, even during Roman times, and that Alexander the Great was one of their “prototypes” in the ancient world, as was Hitler in modern times. But the Illuminati as we know it today was formed in the 17th century (out of Catholic roots, ie. the Knights Templar and Roscicrucianism). The idea of a modern ’One World Order’ became popular in the 1700’s with the ideas of Weishaupt and others, and they have been working towards this goal since the mid 18th century.
Q: Did the Illuminati manipulate societies throughout history, such a the Egyptian, Roman, British empire, etc. How far back does the history of the Illuminati stretch and were they always known as the Illuminati, or did they at times operate under different covers with the same goals?
A: The Illuminati SAY they date back to ancient Babylon on the Fields of Shinar around 3,900 B.C, give or take. But this is probably cult programming and boasting. They state that they are founded on the occult base of all ancient mystery religions and occult practices. But they actually seem to be descended from the Knights Templar during the medieval ages, and the Rosicrucian’s who were also founded back then. I myself have trouble knowing how much of the “cult history” I was taught as a child by my scholarship teachers was merely programming, and how much is accurate truth, so I cannot really be an objective source of information. Like any group, they tend to want to “idealize” their roots.
Western Canadian says
Or how about another history of the illuminutti……
A Metaprogrammer at the Door of Chapel Perilous
In the literature that concerns the Illuminati relentless speculation abounds. No other secret society in recent history – with the exception of Freemasonry – has generated as much legend, hysteria, and disinformation. I first became aware of the the Illuminati about 14 years ago. Shortly thereafter I read a book, written by Robert Anton Wilson, called Cosmic Trigger: Final Secret of the Illuminati. Wilson published it in 1977 but his opening remarks on the subject still ring true today:
Briefly, the background of the Bavarian Illuminati puzzle is this. On May 1, 1776, in Bavaria, Dr. Adam Weishaupt, a professor of Canon Law at Ingolstadt University and a former Jesuit, formed a secret society called the Order of the Illuminati within the existing Masonic lodges of Germany. Since Masonry is itself a secret society, the Illuminati was a secret society within a secret society, a mystery inside a mystery, so to say. In 1785 the Illuminati were suppressed by the Bavarian government for allegedly plotting to overthrow all the kings in Europe and the Pope to boot. This much is generally agreed upon by all historians.1 Everything else is a matter of heated, and sometimes fetid, controversy.
It has been claimed that Dr. Weishaupt was an atheist, a Cabalistic magician, a rationalist, a mystic; a democrat, a socialist, an anarchist, a fascist; a Machiavellian amoralist, an alchemist, a totalitarian and an “enthusiastic philanthropist.” (The last was the verdict of Thomas Jefferson, by the way.) The Illuminati have also been credited with managing the French and American revolutions behind the scenes, taking over the world, being the brains behind Communism, continuing underground up to the 1970s, secretly worshipping the Devil, and mopery with intent to gawk. Some claim that Weishaupt didn’t even invent the Illuminati, but only revived it. The Order of Illuminati has been traced back to the Knights Templar, to the Greek and Gnostic initiatory cults, to Egypt, even to Atlantis. The one safe generalization one can make is that Weishaupt’s intent to maintain secrecy has worked; no two students of Illuminology have ever agreed totally about what the “inner secret” or purpose of the Order actually was (or is . . .). There is endless room for spooky speculation, and for pedantic paranoia, once one really gets into the literature of the subject; and there has been a wave of sensational “ex-poses” of the Illuminati every generation since 1776. If you were to believe all this sensational literature, the damned Bavarian conspirators were responsible for everything wrong with the world, including the energy crises and the fact that you can’t even get a plumber on weekends. (pp. 3-4)
That short excerpt is perhaps the most honest and succinct introduction to the Illuminati as you’ll ever come across. So it is more than a bit ironic that Wilson, throughout the rest of the text, proceeds to perpetuate and expand upon similar myths, and in the process manages to take it to a whole new level.2 In the end, the Illuminati had mystified Wilson as much as anyone in the preceding centuries.
Robert Anton Wilson (RAW) is an enigma in his own right: an archetypal Trickster in the tradition of Aleister Crowley or Timothy Leary, both of whom he greatly admires.3 The Cosmic Trigger Trilogy is meant to awaken the reader to multiple mind-blowing streams of thought and completely shatter preconceived notions of perception, time and space – much as the writings of illuminists themselves. Herein lies the seed of speculation to the effect that he must surely be in on the conspiracy – some have gone so far as to believe he’s the Grand Master (or inner head) of the Illuminati himself. Wilson has always toyed with the accusations, and in typical RAW fashion, he’s never denied it outright.
Cosmic Trigger wasn’t the first book Wilson dedicated to the theme, however. Two years earlier, in 1975, RAW and co-author Robert Shea popularized the modern wave of Illuminati conspiracies with the publication of the novel Illuminatus! Trilogy. A veritable cult classic, Illuminatus invigorated the underground market and spawned a whole new generation of conspiracy authors. One cannot read any of RAW’s material without a healthy sense of humor, though, and Illuminatus is definitely no exception. Written between 1969 and 1971 it reads like a subversive anarchist manual, yet satirical and surreal at the same time. The cut-and-paste job of excerpts right into the flow of dialogue – from books and pamphlets on a wide range of conspiracy theories – probably boosted its appeal from the beginning.
Any researcher investigating the Illuminati today would be remiss not to mention RAW – especially in a book or document purporting to cover the subject in detail. With the exception of Myron Fagan, “Wild” Bill Cooper,4 the John Birchers and Biblical endtimes literature, the formation of the current mythos surrounding the subject has a lot to do with the popularity of Wilson’s books: have you ever seen the Illuminati and the star Sirius mentioned in the same paragraph?

One minor exception to the article:

That one example may be a bit of extrapolation to suggest it was “over religion”.
It was not about doctrinal differences.
Luke says
In a sense I understand the Pope’s position. He can’t call jihad out for what it is, without risking a great deal. If he takes a hostile position to Islam he will be putting a lot of Christian minorities around the world in extreme danger.
DFD says
So, that implies that hey are currently not in extreme danger.
But does that mean that the murder, persecution, torture and wholesale massacres of Christians, the ethnic cleansing of Christians, the destruction of churches, and and and, is not even dangerous? Or not extremely dangerous? Obviously you can see, like the pope, beyond all that. What a relieve that his position is understood.
Perhaps you care to enlighten us what “extreme danger” entails, the kind the pope wants to avoid for his flock. Actually, it’s Jesus’ flock, not the popes – minor detail apparently.
You know, I really thought the being threatened or having to endure torture and murder is extremely dangerous for the victim, silly me.
Luke says
Yes, it’s already bad, but it could get much worse. I mean the wholesale butchering of the remaining Christians of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon etc. And what would the solution be to that? An invasion? A crusade? We all know that the political elites of the post-Christian west are not interested in helping Christians unless there’s some sort of oil pipeline in it for them. They are on their own and completely at the mercy of the Muslims they live amongst. This is not to mention the millions of Muslims in Europe who can cause much more mayhem here also.
What would you like the Pope to say? “Islam is a cult of death”? “Islam must be stopped”? This would lead to open warfare.
DFD says
Luke says…
Quote 1:… “Yes, it’s already bad, but it could get much worse. I mean the wholesale butchering of the remaining Christians of Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon etc.”
Answer 1: –- They ARE being wholesale butchered, tortured etc. Haven’t you noticed that?
Quote 2:… “And what would the solution be to that? An invasion? A crusade?”
Answer 2: –- INDEED!
Quote 3:… “They are on their own and completely at the mercy of the Muslims they live amongst.”
Answer 3: — Yes, because of traitors like Francis. Simple solution, we do what the (REAL) Christians, the Nazarenes in the Muslim countries are begging of us: We send lots of aeroplanes, dropping lots of bombs. We send troops, yes, CRUSADERS, with artillery, tanks and various other items. Trust me, that will stop the filth from killing our people! Instead of that, they will show the usual Muslim courage, they will throw away their boots so that they can run faster. Don’t worry, happens all the time when they meet western troops and technology.
Quote 4:… “This is not to mention the millions of Muslims in Europe who can cause much more mayhem here also.”
Answer 4: — You have a case in point here. They could axe people, bomb people, burn, torture, rape & rape (I mentioned that twice ’cause they’ll love it), they could mutilate, desecrate churches and attack church goers. ……………. And I thought they are doing that already. How stupid of me. Of course, now I understand, all these actions in Europe and the US, these are the evil deeds of right wingers and Nazis. Typical, isn’t it? Those Nazis, running around beheading Europeans, Euro-Americans plus some others, always shouting Allahu Akbar… Yeah, those bloody Nazis and Crusaders. Just good that there are Muslims and their collabo… —- sorry, helpers, friends to “protect us”. We couldn’t do that our selves? Could we?
Quote 4 AGAIN:… “ This is not to mention the millions of Muslims in Europe who can cause much more mayhem here also.”
Answer 4 ..MORE.. : — Mayhem? Don’t worry. We could hang them onto meat hooks, throw them into waste and animal incinerators, and they will shriek: “No more backlash please, stop backlashing please. Calm down please, all we did was to murder and torture you. As Muslims we have to do that. So let us all calm down, and give us some more money and even more privileges.” Then they hope that we will stop, and immediately they’ll plan the next atrocity – and laugh at us behind our backs. Till then they’ll f..k our children, our women, lurk and launch sneak attacks on us, terror. You know, terror, the thing that living Muslims do, as they are instructed to do in the quran. Unless we brutalize the with them utmost ferocity. Then they don’t dare. Courageous as they are.
Quote 5:… “What would you like the Pope to say? “Islam is a cult of death”? “Islam must be stopped”?”
Answer 5: — Exactly, you got it! As Pope Benedikt said in Regensburg.
======================================================.
Remember Benedikt, a real Pope? He “resigned” for health reasons. Strange, he seems to be healthier than the current one, Francis, the traitor and deceiver.
Quote 6:… “This would lead to open warfare.”
Answer 6: — You’re having us on, don’t you!? I thought we are already in open warfare, their Imams, Mullahs etc. constantly say so. Trust me: It will improve your understanding to no end if you listen to what the enemy says and does – for nearly 1,400 years. Have you noticed that the Muslims are bombing us, shooting us, slitting our throats, stabbing us, raping us, have you noticed? Believe me, it’s true. If that’s not open warfare….
That leads back to to the traitor and to **real Popes **. They called for Crusades, and guess what, you wont believe it: Attacks on Christian lands stopped! Pilgrims were safe! Stunning, no? Then came the deal making and the traitors, your friends wasted no time….
Your moniker is “Luke”, if you are truthful, follow Luke’s, and our, boss. If not, that is if you are a taqyian like ‘ex-Muslim’, ‘African-Infidel’ etc., didn’t work. It’s so easy to show you for what you are.

Luke, the idea that the pope is pretending that Islam is not a threat, and is supporting the invasion of Muslims into the West in order to–somehow–safeguard threatened Christians in Dar-al-Islam does not really hold water.
Moreover, if this *were* his intent, then it is failing miserably, as these Christians are more persecuted than ever.

I was raised Catholic, and I would like to honor the Pope. God help us (I mean that seriously), Pope Francis has too much in common with the Archbishop of Canterbury. Venetian – Ottman war 1570-1573.
Battles on the Mediterranean Sea: Battle of Djerba 1560 Ottoman victory on the Mediterranean Sea against Christian fleet,
Battle of Lepanto 1571 Pope Pius V, Catholic Maritime States versus Ottoman fleet.
Siege of Constantinople.
Great Turkish War 1683-1699. Battle of Vienna 1683 Johan Sobieski, Mohacs 1687, Zenta 1697 Eugen of Savoi.

…………………………
Clearly, this pope understands *nothing*. Firstly, his comments about the non-religious are calumny; many agnostics and atheists are entirely peaceful people.
Then the idea that all wars are about resources is ludicrous. Many of them have been about *ideas* and values–and this is what religions at base are.
Some religions and philosophies are civilized and compassionate–some *anything* but. Was the faith of Moloch peaceful? How can a *pontiff* be unable to grasp this?
And then there is the false dichotomy–sure, WWII was about the German push for “Lebensraum” and the desire to establish dominion over others for ‘practical’ purposes, but it was not *just* or even primarily about this–instead, it was about the applying the supremacist ideas of the Nazis.
It is the same with Islam–yes, they believe all of our assets should belong to them, and certainly seek dominion over all non-believers–but this is driven specifically by the texts and tenets of Islam itself. You don’t find other peoples waging violent Jihad.
Then–as noted–taking nuns hostage and beheading a priest in a small town in rural France clearly has no motives that we would recognize as the ‘practical’ ones the pope notes–the little church had no or very little money, and robbery was not an aim, in any case; it had no natural resources the Jihadists wanted; and in this case they could only assert dominion over an elderly priest and a handful of terrified nuns.
It is obvious to anyone–anyone not in deep denial, in any case–that this Jihad atrocity could not be explained with reference to anything *but* the religion of Islam.

Why is the pope doing that? Why is he saying this? Et cetera est.
Either he and his ilk are corrupt, some yes, but they can’t be all corrupt. Frightened? Possible, but at least the upper echelons would get *extensive* police protection. Both the above to varying degrees? Possible.
Alternatively, he/they could also hope that by putting Christians through suffering, setting them up for torture and murder, will convince the Muslims of the better way – fat chance. Would they change? Not as long as they don’t have to do the suffering!
My own view, with hardly any speculation: They ought to change to a milder brand of incense, or exhale more often.

What Manning meant, Belloc explains, is “that all wars and revolutions, and all decisive struggles between parties of men arise from a difference in moral and transcendental doctrine” (p. 48), since no man, “arguing for what should be among men, but took for granted as he argued that the doctrine he consciously or unconsciously accepted was or should be a similar foundation for all mankind. It is appalling the ignorance and callousness, that we people, harbor about religions.
People, including the Pope, should read and research about Islam.
If we seriously look into the Koran, and other Islamic scriptures, we would not have any doubts about what is currently happening.
The Pope should do this.
As long as he, and many of us, remain passive and convinced about Islam being a religion of peace, we are adopting the attitude of silent witnesses to our own civilizational suicide.
Islam is, and has always bee a monolithic belief system. As said by Turkey Prime Minister, there is not a “Radical”, and a “moderate” Islam, but only one Islam.
A belief system, based on teachings of a deranged and very questionable prophet, is a very dangerous force. History has shown this over the last several centuries.
And socio economical factors have never affected the bellicosity of Islam in History.
They have maintained a religious war since day one.
The explosive demographic growth of these countries is the main reason allowing their tsunami like spreading all over the world.

DEAR POPETARD: Muhammad started his “real” wars over money, natural resources, and to establish dominion over other peoples – to enrich himself and his gangster cronies.
