Last week, Senator Ted Cruz’s hearings graphically revealed the true extent of the Obama administration’s politically correct denial and willful ignorance concerning the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat and the ongoing attempts to assert Sharia principles and practices over those of American law and culture. DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson in particular demonstrated a contemptuous indifference to the importance of identifying the enemy ideology properly. Meanwhile, the role of Muslim Brotherhood-allied groups in influencing the Obama administration and guiding its hamstringing and deforming our response to the jihad threat has never yet been adequately addressed. The worst manifestation of this baneful influence is the administration’s “Countering Violent Extremism” policy, which pretends that “right-wingers” are as much or more of a terror threat than Islamic jihadis — and generally ignores the existence of Islamic jihad altogether.
But tomorrow Reps. Kevin McCarthy and Mike McCaul plan to make things even worse. They’re pushing for a rule to bring up a bill that will give Jeh Johnson an Assistant Secretary whose job will be to “partner” with “communities” against “radical Islamist terrorism” — a slightly more accurate and truthful phrase than “violent extremism,” but unfortunately, not one that heralds a positive change: this new Assistant Secretary’s office will have at least a $10 million budget for this “partnering,” and its “partners” will almost certainly be Muslim Brotherhood-linked and Hamas-linked groups such as the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Enough is enough. Americans are fed up with the Obama administration’s denial, willful ignorance, and pandering to Islamic supremacist groups. It’s time to repudiate the entire “Countering Violent Extremism” and call Islamic jihad what it is: Islamic jihad.
McCarthy and McCaul’s travesty has to be stopped. In its place, we need legislation that will bar individuals or groups linked with Hamas and/or the Muslim Brotherhood, and that were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation trial, from ever “partnering” with U.S. government organizations in any way, and from receiving federal grants for countering “radical Islamic terrorism,” “violent extremism,” or anything else.
And beyond that, we must put an end to the “Countering Violent Extremism” approach, and devise one for “Countering Jihad.” The key premises of the “Countering Violent Extremism” strategy — that Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing to do with “violent extremism”; that those who engage in violence in its name are twisting and hijacking its peaceful tenets; that jihad is an interior spiritual struggle that has nothing to do with violence; that mosques are entirely benign places of worship, akin to churches and synagogues, and that it would be “Islamophobic” to subject them to surveillance; that intelligence and law enforcement agents must work to win the “trust” of Muslim communities, rather than the other way around; and that “right-wing extremists” are more of a threat than violent (and stealth) jihadists — must be decisively and explicitly rejected.
What should be put in its place? Reality. The U.S. government should recognize that there are aspects of Islamic law (Sharia) that are directly contradictory to Constitutional freedoms and protections, and make it clear that preaching and spreading those aspects of Islamic law in the U.S. will be regarded as sedition. It must recognize the ideology of the jihadis as rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and require U.S. mosques and Islamic schools to back up their pro-forma condemnations of jihad terror with genuine action, including honest and inspectable programs teaching against the ISIS/al-Qaeda understanding of Islam. Mosques must be monitored to ensure that sedition, violence, and hatred of unbelievers is not being preached. The government must also recognize that jihad and Islamic supremacism are global, and have no counterpart among returning veterans, Tea Party activists, etc.
The time is now. Please contact your Congressmen and exhort them to repudiate the McCarthy/McCaul initiative, and the entire “Countering Violent Extremism” superstructure. Obama’s fantasy-based policies are costing lives. One death for political correctness was one too many, and there have been many more than one. It is time to call a halt to this suicidal nonsense once and for all.

FOR THOSE OF YOU IN MCCARTHY’S AND MCCAUL’S STATE DISTRICTS, EMAIL AND FOLLOW UP WITH A PHONE CONVERSATION.
But politely insist on speak to the Chief of Staff or Legislative Director — not an overworked young intern. Give the contact in that office a path to Robert’s post here. AND BE SURE THEY BOTH READ ROBERT’S CREDENTIALS — in the top black bar (“About Robert Spencer”).
And remember that even if you do not live in their states, A FAX CAN STILL BE SENT. To be sure of it being noticed, think about using the largest type font available on your computer. Make the message short, on point, and totally polite.

This administration and to some extent the last administration also are/were sympathetic to Islam and Muslims. This is the only reason they will find excuses for Muslim terrorism. And they will coin all sorts of imaginary delusional verbiage and succeeded to a large extent to deflect the blame from Muslims. Say anything, just don’t say the I word or the M word. What a bunch of morons we have here. They would still be blaming violent extremists when Muslims will be chopping their heads off!!

Mark I prayer you are correct, situation is critical. But Obama has the power and has staffed as such to infiltrate not only the administration to carry out his deception, but uses his demeanor and looks to the influence the media, hollywood actors, suppress information, lie boldly about the connection of what he says is a hijacked religion when it really is fundamental or the pious who follow the commands to violence, all the while declaring Christians and Jews are racially bigoted, religiously violent, which is done so effortlessly and without a hint of nervousness. The military is staffed with “some” like minded people, untouchable ever though they could be our greatest threat…and now deciding to use “his” people to police Americans….nothing could get much worse in perpetuating the deception and intention. I am seeing suddenly a clarification movement and I am grateful for Senator Cruz, that he spoke out to HLS, it was amazing. I have an original 9/11 Commission Report, yes it very clearly shows we knew very well the connections to the doctrine of Islam. The words were everywhere in describing 9/11. Till the purges of the left and connected parties of terror.

It does seem that OUR letters, emails, and phone calls to our people we are paying in Washington are not doing anything we ask/tell them to do. THEY ARE ACTUALLY OUR EMPLOYEES even though they were ELECTED by us.
What do you do with a rebellious employee who works for you? You wanna and then fire if there is no change. We may not be able to fire these elites but we sure can RECALL them and they should know that.

It’s time for a counter-narrative. Christians, Jews, Hindus, Mormons, even Atheists and anybody else who is a “non-believer” in Islam, needs to start pointing out that non-Muslims are not Islamaphobic. Rather, Muslims are the ones practicing bigotry on a global scale. When over 1.5 billion Muslims are called to pray 5 times each day and in their prayers deride Christians, Jews, and all the rest of us non-Muslims, then such actions (one of many, many if space permitted one to list them all) are massive evidence of their own in-bred phobia. Namely, we need to call out that they are carrying out Christian-phobia, Judaism-phobia, LGBT-phobia, non-believer-phobia, and so on. Cut political correctness loose and start calling it like it is. Only then will the Muslim worldwide community begin to feel the force of the rest of humanity’s fair and just criticism of Islam’s in-humane reliance on ways that have no place in the 21st century.
Robert McKenna says
Their “prayers” to a supposed deity made up by a blood thirsty, baby raping, hallucinating, madman mean nothing except that it gets their feet a little cleaner and improves the blood flow to that part of their forehead they bang on the ground.
The wholes mess was designed to keep them afraid of death if they stopped butt waving and head banging, and to keep the men sexually frustrated and following their little head, while keeping women in virtual slavery, both sexual and physical.
They are so frustrated, their idea of heaven is to have an unending supply of virgins to rape.
That is heaven for the men. I guess all the women get to be the virgins. Really good deal, huh gals ?

COUNTERJIHAD is what we should be doing.
Mach1Duck says
Islam has been violent and extremist since its inception. It is no different now than it was before there was Sharia law, the only difference is that extremist violence has been codified. It was Obama and his administration’s goal to find peace in the Middle East by allying with the Muslim Brotherhood, which was the god-parent of Al-Quada and ISIS. This process failed miserably as one country (Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, and Syria) after another fell under the banner of the Obama engineered Arab Spring. Just look at the attitude of the Obamaites when Egypt pulled away from the Muslim Brotherhood and selected a democratically elected government.
The problem Obama and the mother of the Arab Spring (Hillary Clinton) now face is the program backfired as Al-Quada and ISIS would not play ball by their rules. So the administration is now trying to save-face by half heartedly bombing ISIS targets and strongholds in support of anti-ISIS, anti-Syrian, anti-Russian supported tribes. The only tribe worth supporting and the only ones who are trustworthy are the Kurds with none, nada, zero support from this administration.
Mr. President, the American people are waking up. Ft. Hood was terrorism, San Bernardino was terrorism, Orlando was terrorism and nothing you or your mouth-pieces can or will say will convence the American public differently. If the government, Democrats and Republicans, do not stand up for the truth instead of spinning myths, lies and half-truths, they will lose.
Mary Anne Anderson says
If I may, I’d like to make one small but important addition to your insightful comment. In your last paragraph I would add the word “Islamic” before the word “terrorism” as Islamists are the perpetrators of these atrocities.
Edgar Allen says
I wish Robert Spencer and others stop using the euphemism “willful ignorance”.
Call a pade a spade a spade. This is TREASON.
Giving aid and comfort to the enemy is TREASON. The Iran Nuclear deal is treason.
Literally.
Rich says
I posted a comment somewhere the other day saying almost exactly the same thing. So many in this government are openly aiding the enemy, but that’s one reason they refuse to name Islam and keep striking it from the record. Many should have been jailed already, but nothing is done. Media is complicit. The word “realism” should be substituted for the word “Islamophobia” wherever it has been used. We are beyond just lack of courage or erring on the side of being nice. We have lost all common sense.
