Belgium: Muslim migrant stabs priest who let him in to use his shower

Aug 1, 2016 10:04 am By Robert Spencer

Authorities are insisting that the attack was not terror-related, which they would probably be doing even if it were. What no one is considering, however, is that it is a manifestation of the very different culture of the migrants: one that considers non-Muslims obligated for the financial upkeep of Muslims (cf. Qur’an 9:29), and which sanctifies violence as a holy act (cf. Qur’an 2:191, 4:89, 9:5, 47:4, etc.). The consequences of admitting large numbers of people from such a culture into Europe could well be catastrophic, and spell the end of free societies in Europe and elsewhere.

“Priest in Belgium stabbed ‘by asylum seeker in his own home after letting him in to use shower,'” by Richard Wheatstone and Sam Rkaina, Mirror, July 31, 2016:

A priest has been stabbed in his own home by an asylum seeker he allowed in to use his shower – according to local prosecutors.

The priest – named locally as 65-year-old Jos Vanderlee – suffered injuries to his hands during the incident in Lanaken, Belgium.

Public Prosecutor of Limburg Coppin Bruno said the attack happened at around 2.40pm local time (1.40pm UK time) but have stressed they do not believe it was terror-related.

Prosecutors say the suspect had knocked on the priest’s home to ask for a shower and help.

After the shower the man allegedly asked for money and stabbed the priest when he said no.

An investigation has been launched but authorities have stressed they do not believe the incident is linked to terrorism.

The mayor of Lanake Marino Keulen, said: “Despite the fact that we are shocked, we must stress that this incident can not be linked to terrorist acts at this stage of the investigation.”…

NPR-BBC were a while back talking about this very thing.

It was in a small at one of the border countries (possibly Monte-Negro) that was flooded with more migrants than residents of the town.

One of the Muslim ‘migrants’ complained bitterly that the none of the fearful residents would allow him into their homes to take a shower for only five minutes he insisted. BBC was sympathetic to the Muslim’s tale of Islamophobia and rights of special entitlements to impose themselves into non-Muslim’s homes at will of course.

  4. Iggy A says

    Aug 1, 2016 at 10:34 am

The concept of “terror related” has become bogus by now due to the number and public knowledge of them.

We have reached a point of Saturation with these issues involving the massive refugee flows, horrors of ISIS, individual terrorist acts, the debate in Western Societies, and so on…

…Saturation influences many things. It will encourage radicalization, for example, convincing individuals to attempt to join ISIS or locate a terrorist cell to join or carry out an individual act of violence. —– Another outcome of Saturation is that it will cause isolated incidents to escalate beyond what they might have in normal conditions.

I got to know this well in South Korea.

I lived about 7 years total in South Korea and watched the anti-US culture there which was a fundamental part of Korean Nationalism. It was also part of a much broader cultural phenomenon of staging semi-violent to violent protests annually. — Spikes in anti-US and US military sentiment would arise about once a year —- either in the form of saturation news coverage of small protests on some issue – or – large-scale protests and saturation coverage.

In the worst periods, with the media beating the drums around the clock, and protests swelling into the tens of thousands or becoming more violent —– you would get a spat of isolated attacks on US soldiers or someone mistaken for a soldier. — On rare occasions, an attack would be attempted murder – usually by a homeless or mentally ill-person. (In my own experience in Korea, where Westerners stood out in the crowd, the few negative run ins I had with a Korean was either a drunk or mentally-ill homeless person.)

My point is — when Korean society decided to work itself into a boil, if it reached a certain point of saturation in the culture — you could expect targeted acts of violence – and – an escalation of a typical event to a life-threatening level. Rather than yell obscenities at you, or grabbing your arm, a mentally ill homeless person in tune with the national outrage might stab you to death – as happened to a US military doctor in Seoul once…

We’ve reached that point of Saturation in this conflict between the Islamic Middle East and Western Society.

Which means – yes, any event like this stabbing of the priest is most likely Islam related.

Why? — Because this level of saturation will tend to escalate a bad item into something worse.

It will help radicalized individuals who might have only had a passing interest if this were decades ago.

It will help encourage radicalized individuals gain the motivation to do something rather than rant from the couch.

And it will tend to cause random acts of conflict – like harsh words exchanged in the street in passing – for example – to escalate into physical confrontations turning deadly.

At some point, the level of Saturation will lead to a violent backlash against refugees and Muslims in general.

And all of this is part of the plan in carrying out acts of terrorism. It is a divide and conquer strategy if the orgs using it have enough followers and dedication.

      — Oddly enough, I more recently spent 3 years on the Arabian Peninsula – most of that in Saudi Arabia.

I walked around as freely as I did in Korea. Like I said, in Korea, I average one negative encounter in the street with an angry Korean about once a year – almost always someone very drunk or a mentally ill homeless person. It never amounted to more than yelling at me or perhaps grabbing my shirt or arm and manhandling me a little. It never escalated above that – because – I read an article when I first arrived where a US soldier was clearly attacked in the street, with witnesses, but he was the person arrested…and I read similar cases over the years. So, I just “endured” as the Koreans would say and got away when I could… (You also need to see how Korean drunk friends do something similar too… I learned from that.)

      — Anyway —- as a white American Southern Christian cracker on the Arabian Peninsula — I had — zero —- runs ins like that…

The only one I had concerned road rage, but when that taxi driver forced me off the road and to stop – he had no idea I was was white and not a Turk or Egyptian or something…

Outrageous!!! First, I can’t call him a priest! He may be a priest for the Devil for practicing the demonic doctrine of “moral relativism” but he is NO priest for Christ!

Secondly, in Morocco or in any islamic country, muslims would immediately convert such a child to islam and then take them away from their parents by force and even murder the parents if they complain about it. Thousands of Christian and Hindu children and other vulnerable people are converted to islam by deception and by manipulation each year in Pakistan alone!

How old is she? Seven? Nine? Ten? Twelve? Fifteen or sixteen?

Remember Rifqa Bary, who became a Christian in her mid-teens, in America, and then, when her parents found out about her change of faith, had to *flee* from her home and go into hiding; and then there was a massive court case. She *couldn’t* go back to her parents because they would kill her.

Canon Andrew White, in Iraq, was reluctant to baptise a group of ex-Muslims who requested it. After they insisted, he baptised them secretly in the church. There were fourteen of them. Six months later, eleven out of the fourteen were dead. The dead were those who had been careless and ‘upfront’ about their change of religion.

The priest in the case you mention *might* be clueless and PC.

Or, he might be very well aware of the apostasy law of Islam, and therefore unwilling to expose a minor child to a danger that they might not fully understand – and from which our hopelessly-PC Authorities, in the West, are not the least bit able or willing to protect her. Should she convert to Christianity, she really needs to be big enough and old enough to bolt; leave her family and seek refuge somewhere.

It might be dangerous for her even if the priest were to give her a child’s book of bible stories. But he *should* share with her some of the gospel stories about Jesus, as plainly as possible; and encourage her to *pray* to Jesus.

Pope Francis himself encouraged priests to be more proactive in dealing with the poor. I think it was an article in the NYTimes. It described how Francis chided another priest on his claim that he gave money to homeless men in his parish. Francis suggested that that was no sacrifice on the priest’s part. Invite him to use your shower, allow the lingering smell to humble you. Then you might have an idea of what it means to be homeless. Give the man one of your own sweaters. And importantly Francis stressed that these actions weren’t for the benefit of the homeless man but for the soul of the priest.

I admire that idea, especially for the denizens of Vatican City who are far removed from want. However, the Pope has subsequently shown this as a rather pompous attitude rather than a humble one. He has security and bodyguards of course. His defense of Islam instead of strong protection of his flock shows him to be a moral coward or worse a malfeasant wolf.

This all sounds like a targeted attack. Are there no mosques or friendly head-bangers in Lanaken, Belgium, willing to offer shower facilities? Of course there are and if the priest was unable to defend himself, who knows the outcome. The priest would have been terrified and no doubt, is still distressed, because of this attack. The eagerness with which the authorities stress that this attack is not terror-related may be explained by their desire (or under instruction), to keep the numbers down. Forget the man concentrate on the numbers. Is it any wonder that few of us trust these bean counters.

Mubarak has said many times that we deserve to be raped and murdered by Muslims for–among other things–the existence of nude protests in Europe.

He is just using this story as an opportunity to castigate the West.

In other words, he has *no* problem with his coreligionist stabbing this priest, but just with nude performance art.

Why did this Muslim knock on THIS door? Because he was a Priest. Why did this Muslim ask for charity? Because he knew that nature of Christianity to give and he felt it was OWED to him(jizya). What this Muslim really wanted was money. When he didn’t get it he was shamed and retaliated. Sounds Islamic to me. Therefore it’s a small act of terrorism. Not all terrorism is a huge display. It also takes the form individually.

I fully agree with you. I am a priest in Spain and I have found the same attitude. They come to demand charity. They think that we have a duty to help them. I told one of them that if he demands help, he will get nothing and he said that we Christians have a duty to help. I read this story in a Spanish Catholic website, but it didn’t mention the detail that the priest had let him into his house to have a shower.
I also read another similar case in Spain. A Franciscan friar was having a cup of coffee in a bar and up comes a Muslim and he grabs the crucifix he had around his neck and when the waiter came to help the Franciscan, he got hit by the Morrocan Muslim with a bottle. This is becoming an everyday affair.

The West is truly doomed as long as we persist in using the term “terror” instead of “Islam” to define these incidents. In this case the Christian priest failed to fulfill the terms of the dhimma contract under the Pact of Umar and therefore lost his “protected” status when he refused to give jizya to the Muslim. Was this a manifestation of terror as a political tool, intended by the perpetrator to have a broad effect upon the greater population of Belgian Kafirs? Probably not. Was it one Muslim, deputized (as all of them are) to uphold Shari’a law, punishing this priest for his rebellion against Allah? Absolutely.

It doesn’t matter whether this can be classified as “terrorism” or not. This guy is all too typical of a Islamic supremacist mindset that believes a dhimmi owes temporary shelter and aid to any Muslim who shows up and asks for it. In any large mass of Muslims you’ll have those who subscribe to this orthodox Islamic view.

While you’ll also have among a large Muslim group those people who aren’t very Muslim, who have more normal, reasonable ethics, the people like this guy are supported in their sense of entitlement by Islamic texts.

I am beginning to get concerned about all the Muslims working in hospitals in North America. Some of them visibly Muslim women wearing head scarves. How are we to know when one of these gets “radicalized” and kills an infidel through “medical error”? It is challenging enough to get a doctor or surgeon or nurse to admit a mistake was made, but can you imagine the unreported cases of stealth jihad committed by Muslims in operating rooms and other parts of hospitals? It’s frightening to think about it…..

    • KnowThyEnemy says

      Aug 2, 2016 at 2:11 am

Don’t forget to consider the Muslims who are working in schools, government, police, and especially defense forces. The special thing about being in defense forces is that you have a job where you basically put your life at risk. And if there are Muslims present in your unit, you don’t know whether to trust them or not, and that saps your energy.

The only solution to this that I can think of, is to keep their numbers from growing. This needs to be done via- 1) keeping more of them from coming in (in other words, vote Donald J. Trump), 2) converting the ones already here, and 3) sending links to David Wood’s videos 🙂 to [the rest of] Muslims so as to let them know that we know about their Qurappy religion. (This will hopefully sap their confidence and they will refrain from committing “medical errors”.)

Oh, and since you mentioned “Muslim women wearing head scarves”, send them this video link 🙂 –
