Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Twitter bans Breitbart bad boy Milo, but not ISIS-linked London jihad preacher

Aug 18, 2016 2:40 pm By Robert Spencer

Revealed here: the priorities of the hard Leftists who control Twitter, and of Leftist social justice warriors who in general turn a blind eye to the jihad and consider it “Islamophobic” to stand against it.

Anjem-Choudary

“Bias alert: Twitter bans Breitbart bad boy, but not ISIS-linked London loudmouth,” Fox News, August 18, 2016:

The Twitterverse has more to fear from a gay conservative than a fire-breathing ISIS recruiter if the social media giant’s treatment of a pair of prolific and provocative posters is to be squared.

Twitter banned Breitbart tech editor and openly gay conservative Milo Yiannopoulos for life last month after his followers tweeted objectionable comments targeting African-American “Ghostbusters” star Leslie Jones, but a recent case in London’s Old Bailey shows Twitter took a hands-off approach to the poisonous posts of Anjem Choudary.

Jurors in the United Kingdom were told this week that British authorities repeatedly sought to get Choudary’s Twitter posts and YouTube videos taken down after his pledge of allegiance to ISIS surfaced online. Choudary, who in interviews with Fox News and other media has for years made no secret of his embrace of Shariah law and Islamic radicalism, was convicted Tuesday of “inviting support for a proscribed organization,” namely ISIS. He faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.

During the trial, prosecutors complained that despite Choudary’s incendiary Tweets and YouTube videos, they had no power to force social media companies to remove the material.

It’s a sharp contrast to the treatment Twitter last month afforded Yiannopoulos, who was banned from the 140-character forum after his “Ghostbusters” tweets, but says the ban is a reaction to years of conservative posts.

“An Islamic hate preacher convicted of inciting terrorism: fine,” Yiannopoulos told FoxNews.com. “A gay man expressing concern about Muslim immigration: not fine. Welcome to the new, Shariah-compliant Twitter.”…

The ban of Milo doesn’t necessarily represent Twitters political stance. Some interest groups are well organised, operationg with multiple accounts and report “breaches” against community guidlines.

The real smart ones don’t have the time nor the inclination to spend their time switching accounts and falsely reporting abuse.

    And off they are….

Milo was accused of orchestrating an harassment campaign against Leslie Jones. This after Jack Dorsey, Twitter co-founder and CEO, asked Leslie Jones to DM him after she complained, on Twitter, about how hard she was having it and that Twitter needed better guidelines. Milo’s posts, where he pointed out she was playing the victim, in no way broke Twitter’s ToU, and it’s not Milo’s responsibility if people who follow his twitter engage other users. On top of that, the alleged “harassment campaign” began long before Milo said his 2 cents.

The stupidness just keeps rolling along…I have very few years left in this confused world. But sure wish I could come back in about 25 years to verify what I’m sure Is coming…God help us! We sure don’t seem to be able to help ourselves!

Thanks King Tut, I feel that a YUGE Gag has been placed on Free Speech. Why have the Internet? Without the free flowing ideas of people, who are not PC, I would not be interested at all in Social Media. The silencing of a Free People, is a GOVERNMENT INTIMIDATION ACT. The Election of DONALD TRUMP HAS PUT FEAR INTO THE PC RULERS. I will not STAY SILENT, this is the end of the Internet era, what a cowardly ending.

Has every Christian Person been barred by Twitter? This is craziness on the part of Twitter, & its enforcers. The Left moves fast to cut down all, whose views are not LEFT-WING. Silence, Silence, but no one dares to stand up to these effete bullies, who are pampered to by State Owned Media & the Regime .

Choudary’s pledge of allegiance to ISIS was inevitable.
    Muslims follow —- Muhammad’s example.
1 Join a child rape gang,
    2 join ISIS
As an alternative, some other Muslims try, as best they can, to ignore Muhammad’s life of disgrace and the feelings of bitter emptiness from living a spiteful life filled without any true spiritual fulfillment.

How ever do Muslims manage such a total lack of shame?

instead of bitching and moaning, conservatives, libertarians, Christians, Jews in need of sending 140 character messages to others should create their own service.

No, I don’t use Twitter or the equally stupid Facebook precisely for the same reason that I only post within communities of people who think that communication should be worthwhile. I just don’t think “chattering fools” are role models.

And yes, I despise all organisations that are sharia-friendly.
