Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

French burkini controversy was set-up by Muslim activists and Australian TV station

Sep 24, 2016 5:45 pm By Robert Spencer

How obliging and helpful the Australian television station was! Islamic supremacists must be laughing up their sleeves at the eagerness of the kuffar to further their goals.

“French Burkini Controversy Was Set-Up By Muslim Activists In Concert With Television Station,” by Oliver JJ Lane, Breitbart, September 24, 2016:

“Selectively edited” Footage of a young Muslim woman wearing a so-called Burkini being threatened on a French beach was a deliberate set-up for the benefit of a Channel Seven Australia television crew, according to revelations in the Australian press.

Newspapers around the world sympathetically reported the plight of 23-year-old Australian Muslim university student Zeynab Alshelh this week after images emerged which purported to show her being harrassed on a French beach.

British titles including the Daily Telegraph, Sun, BBC, Mirror, and others reported Ms. Alshelh had been “chased off” the beach, while she and her family were “met with abuse”.

Yet calls for the young Muslim activist to issue an apology to France for her deliberately provocative stunt are growing after claims that the anger of those on the beach wasn’t directed at the woman’s attire — but at the presence of television cameras, in clear breach of French privacy laws.

The Daily Mail Australia reports the remarks of an eye witness to the confrontation, who said: “The man on the video who said, ‘You turn around and you leave’, was my uncle. He never asked these three people to leave the beach. He spoke to the camera because he was asking the cameraman to leave.

“There were children on the beach, including our own, and we didn’t want them to be filmed”.

These claims stand in sharp contrast to Alshelh’s claims on her Channel Seven show when she recounted per experience in France, where she had travelled expressly to protest the so-called Burka ban:

“We were threatened by locals to leave the beach and if we didn’t they were going to call the police. They weren’t happy with us being there, even though it was on the beach that the burkini ban was overturned but the locals were not happy”.

The apparent duplicity of the activist has led The Australian , the nation’s best selling newspaper to state in an op-ed this weekend: “The Seven Network and the pugnacious Muslim Aussie family it flew to the French Riviera with the aim of provoking beachgoers into a “racist” reaction to the “Aussie cossie” burkini owe the traumatised people of Nice and France a swift apology”.

The newspaper said the footage had been selectively edited and distorted in order to reach “predetermined conclusions”. The paper called the exercise unethical, and “the latest example of calculated French-bashing fuelled by collusion between the goals of political Islam and compliant media outlets seeking culture clash cliches”.

While the Television report on Australia’s Channel Seven suggested a man telephoning the police was making a complaint about the presence of women wearing so-called burkinis, he was actually reporting the presence of television cameras….

No surprise, media in Australia heavily biased. Channel 7 largely irrelevant. I refuse to watch it. Lots of left wing bleeding hearts in Aus also. Not as many terrorist attacks here as in the rest of the world. However, the silent majority is starting to wake up. People are starting to openly discuss the benefits of Islam. Anti-Islam political parties on the rise. Left wing pc celebrity snowflakes in media starting to panic.

      Hello Vae Victis

Turnbull is weak and his government can easily be bullied by America. If Trump is not elected, then there is every chance that Turnbull will fall under the sway of the Democrats and bring in more Muslims to wage their bloody jihad on Australians, particularly when pressure is applied by those bleeding hearts and pro-refugee advocates who care only about Muslims. The danger in all of this is that there are plenty ex-Muslims in the Middle East who want to get rid of theocracy in favour of secularism, but if the west keeps on pandering to Muslim hardliners, this will never happen. What the left is doing in the west is nothing short of pure evil – they are condemning the west and the east to the perpetual intellectual darkness and murderous savagery of Islam.

      Benefits of Islam? Do tell…

Channel 7 has gone down the ABC route. Channel 9 is salvageable. On ACA on Monday niggt, their revamped Sharia Law story that was cancelled abruptly last week is scheduled to be aired.

I refuse to watch any of the channels. Oh, how they fucking love Obama and Hillary. And I loathe that fucking Waleed Aly, his wife, and the stupid program The Project.

That wife (Carlan) -the celebrity Convert to Islam. She used to be a Baptist or something like that. She is an apostate to her Christian religion but that’s ok because Australia is a secular western democracy. She is paraded all the time on television and she looks likes a commercial for expensive dental work. She loves herself. A Muslima Nuova Done Over but I can’t see her bending over 5 times a day (at least not for praying). Sickening. Non serviam – I flick the channel.

The burkini is a cocktail not to be confused with a martini

25% cyanide and 75% Brucine, it tastes way better and is way more attractive.

“Contrast”? What “contrast”? Looking at it from the angle of “locals wanted the TV crew gone” (as opposed to the “people came after us because of the clothing” it was being sold on), there’s nothing in those statements that make it about the burkini. “They weren’t happy with us being there, even though it was on the beach that the burkini ban was overturned but the locals were not happy”. Very well – they were not happy and wanted you out because they didn’t want to be filmed by strangers, especially with the ongoing controversy.

Well – *almost* everyone at JW already knew this.

How about channel 7 do a program in Saudi Arabia with the same burkinid woman driving a car.
Or take a group of Mozzie supporting gay activists and academics over to Pakistan, Saudi, Iran etc?
It says a lot about the level of intellectual debate down-under when the media has to resort to breaking the laws of a country reeling from terror attacks and rub salt into their wounds like they did here.
Don’t think the television station or the Muslim agitators gained any sympathy from this low stunt.

  6. JMB says

    Sep 24, 2016 at 8:45 pm

An obviously contrived story barely worthy of comment. It was free publicity for the Sydney company that designs and exports burkinis.
But note, The Burkini was developed as an Islamic compliant swimsuit in a so far futile attempt to get Muslims involved in our beach culture following the 2005 anti-Islam Cronulla beach riot.

  7. Chris Cross says

    Sep 24, 2016 at 9:08 pm

I’m against all Islamic identifiers on people. Why, because when a devoutly religious fundamentalist Muslim (terrorist to us peace going westerners) does a holy jihad and starts murdering people, on a beach in Tunisia for example, the people dressed as Muslims are not murdered. I find this extremely offensive that Muslims are not murdered equally as much as non-Muslims. It’s extremely racist and bigoted of them to not be. We should start demanding that all Muslims do not wear Islamic dress so they can be murdered equally as easily as non-Muslims.

What could one expect from the Aussie media – especially Channel 7? We have Australian news crews arranging televised child abductions in Lebanon – by comparison this is very mild. I am delighted (and astounded) that a major daily paper like the Australian castigated Channel 7. There may be hope for the Fourth Estate yet.
…..now I’m just waiting for ABC Media Watch to report on this – but I won’t hold my breath.

    • Gray says

      Sep 25, 2016 at 12:03 am

I’m so glad someone mentioned Channel 9 and its botched attempt to involve itself in a child kidnapping in Lebanon. The sheer arrogance and duplicity of the Australian media beggars belief. Both Channels 7 and 9 should be stripped of their licences. Won’t happen, of course. They’ll both probably win awards for investigative journalism at the annual TV gabfest. My contempt for Australian TV news and current affair programmes could not possibly be any greater. TV is the communication and entertainment medium of the mid-Twentieth Century, and is now obselete. My TV is gathering dust in the corner. These days it’s only used very rarely, and then only for watching videos.

The media doing selective edits of video to achieve a pre-determined outcome? Who would ever believe such a thing?

    Oh yeah. I would.

This beach birkini incident seemed like a media setup when it first came to light. I remember commenting to that effect on JW when the incident was first reported.

Now we seem to have confirmation of the media set up. Thanks for posting this one JW.

In the Charly Hebdo attack last year and afterwards until today Muslim terrorists killed 238 people in France. That’s the European country that suffers most at the moment, but the media presents the world public a muzzie woman who has to take off her ugly burkini as the great victim. That’s preposterous, as everybody could see the four flics were nice and peaceful. Fuck off muzzies, burkinis aren’t welcome in the civilised world. La laicité, secularism is part of French culture, wear your burkinis at home where people like it

Seven Network is blatantly left wing biased. It starts with its head political reporter in Canberra the nations capital with a Mark Riley who you would swear gets his pay cheque direct from the socialist lefft union aligned Labor Party

Their breakfast TV three hour news show which I never watch but hear a lot about is dominated by left wing hosts and guests sprinkled with the occasional conservative who gets abused anyway by the panel who out trying to impress their feral audience. They tried it on Geert Wilders once and Wilders won that debate making the host doing the interview that day Andrew O’Keefe look like a complete idiot

The entire channel is anti Trump, pro Clinton with those who control the network obviously too stupid to realize they can’t influence a thing , as Australians don’t vote in US elections.

    Its TV for simpletons!

A Very good publication on how islam in France invades, step by step.
From first headscarves at school in 1989, to ‘islamophibia’ invention, to rapes of unveiled muslimas, to hijabs and separate meals at schools, to halal menus, to no-go zones, to burkiny beach identity, and more …

I read about this story on the BBC. The muslim woman claimed she was going to France to show solidarity with French muslims. That should immediately alert readers that she is an activist, who traveled half way around the world. The second thing that struck me was; why was Australia’s Channel Seven present filming what went down and did Channel Seven pay for her airline ticket? These questions were not explored by the BBC, I wonder why? It seemed to me it was a staged incident as we now know is true.
This is another of the muslim victim stunts, like a burqa wearing woman getting declined service at a shop.

  14. Peggy says

    Sep 25, 2016 at 7:48 am

Isn’t it illegal in France to wear a burqua so a burquini is also out.
If this person was breaking the law why not call the police but even then the only reason police were called was because of cameras.
What channel 7 won’t say is that tents are illegal in France in the first place.

  15. Troybeam says

JW readers knew it the first time the story was published, a few weeks ago. I remember the comments, many thought it was staged for propaganda. Now we know it was so. Worked well on the gullible public that buy into the muslim victimhood lie.

Appalling! We all knew it was a set-up (but unfortunately one that many fell for) from the start. But I hadn’t guessed that people flew in to create the farce.

As with so many things, many will not hear the correction; they’ll believe the first thing they hear and solidify their beliefs. I think that is the reason for H’s accusations of Trump.

  19. Risto Kantonen says

    Sep 25, 2016 at 1:13 pm

As I wrote in a thread on the Global Secular Humanist Page thread on Facebook:

If the claims are true, then this media network and those responsible for enabling this dangerous and utterly stupid stunt should be tried in court. France is on the brink of a fucking civil war as Patrick Calvar, head of the General Directorate for Internal Security (DGSI) has warned earlier, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3685561/France-verge-civil-war-sparked-mass-sexual-assault-women-migrants-intelligence-chief-warns.html and these assholes have the nerve to throw gas into the flames. There are no words to express the level of stupidity of those responsible for this stunt.

And if the claims in this article are true, then here we have more evidence of civilisation jihad.

France is foiling terror plots on daily basis now, http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37334836
