Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Islamic Republic of Mauritania intensifies crackdown on anti-slavery activists

Sep 30, 2016 10:17 am By Robert Spencer

We constantly hear in the West that Islam forbids slavery. Reality is otherwise.

The Qur’an has Allah telling Muhammad that he has given him girls as sex slaves: “Prophet, We have made lawful to you the wives to whom you have granted dowries and the slave girls whom God has given you as booty.” (Qur’an 33:50)

Muhammad bought slaves: “Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported: There came a slave and pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free man).” (Muslim 3901)

Muhammad took female Infidel captives as slaves: “Narrated Anas: The Prophet offered the Fajr Prayer near Khaibar when it was still dark and then said, ‘Allahu-Akbar! Khaibar is destroyed, for whenever we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned.’ Then the inhabitants of Khaibar came out running on the roads. The Prophet had their warriors killed, their offspring and woman taken as captives. Safiya was amongst the captives. She first came in the share of Dahya Alkali but later on she belonged to the Prophet. The Prophet made her manumission as her ‘Mahr.’” (Bukhari 5.59.512) Mahr is bride price: Muhammad freed her and married her. But he didn’t do this to all his slaves:

Muhammad owned slaves: “Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah’s Apostle was on a journey and he had a black slave called Anjasha, and he was driving the camels (very fast, and there were women riding on those camels). Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Waihaka (May Allah be merciful to you), O Anjasha! Drive slowly (the camels) with the glass vessels (women)!’” (Bukhari 8.73.182) There is no mention of Muhammad’s freeing Anjasha.

“Mauritania intensifies crackdown on anti-slavery activists, says campaigner,” by Nellie Peyton, Reuters, September 30, 2016 (thanks to Lookmann):

DAKAR (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Mauritanian anti-slavery activists jailed last month have been tortured in detention and transferred to a remote desert location in an “intensification of repression” by the state, a leading campaigner said.

The West African nation in August jailed 13 members of the Resurgence of the Abolitionist Movement (IRA) for up to 15 years for their role in June protests by residents of a slum in the capital Nouakchott, many of whom are former slaves.

Slavery is a historical practice in Mauritania, which became the last country worldwide to legally abolish it in 1981.

Today some 43,000 people or at least one percent of the population live as slaves, according to the 2016 Global Slavery Index. Yet other estimates put the number as high as 20 percent in a country that is a focus of activism by the modern anti-slavery movement.

The 13 activists have been tortured and were this week moved to the desert north where they are cut off from their families, doctors, and lawyers, according to members of the IRA in the northern town of Zouerate who were informed of the relocation.

Mauritanian government officials did not respond for requests to comment.

“This intensification of repression is equal to the intensification of the fight (against slavery),” Biram Dah Abeid, head of the IRA and an opposition politician, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation in Dakar, Senegal.

“Our colleagues suffered physical and psychological harm,” he said, adding that people cannot even visit the prisoners’ families for fear of being watched by the government….

The United Nations is under the control of the Islamic bloc, the United States is under the control of Obama the “secret” moslem and Black Lives Matter is infiltrated by moslems pushing their agenda — as has all been extensively documented in news item after news item on Jihad Watch.

You dont actually take BLM seriously do you. They dont care about black rights, just look at the gang violence in the States. Wheres BLM for them

    • Nighttimer says

      Oct 4, 2016 at 3:41 am

That’s because the BLM people and most other US leftists like to tell themselves that ‘slavery is something that white people did to blacks in America’. They simply don’t know about the sordid history of slavery elsewhere – and frankly, they don’t care, either.

But there’s also a more insidious reason, too. Black activists in the US love to portray themselves as *the* victims of slavery. Whether they realize it or not, they are doing everything to monopolize the term. Their whole identity hinges on “We were the slaves”. So of course they don’t want to be reminded to the fact that there’s other people out there who are far more deserving of the label ‘ex-slave’.

And then there’s the rampant islamophilia among the black activists in the US. They desperately cling to their delusions of the pre-colonial Islamic world being some egalitarian wonderland – so *of course* they don’t wanna be reminded that a defacto race-based slavery system (sanctioned and justified by the local Maliki interpretations of the sharia!) was alive and well in Mauritania during Malcolm X’s lifetime.

  2. Don McKellar says

    Sep 30, 2016 at 10:24 am

I’m sure it’s a lot closer to 20% than 1% in that moslem rat hole. I wish we could get some figures on slavery in Saudi Arabia. I’m sure a lot of people have disappeared when they tried to investigate that.

When a government or religion advocates and/or practices slavery, you know it is from Satan the devil. Jesus Christ makes you free.

    • Don McKellar says

      Sep 30, 2016 at 10:33 am

Was the United States founded by Satanists? Many of the founders were slave owners. The government of the United States advocated/recognized and practiced slavery from (before) 1776 all the way up until the Civil War.

You need to think a little bit before you start throwing around your silly religious claims.

          JIMJFOX,

Do you consider it rational to judge a group people (you’ve not met in person) as incapable of rational thought because they hold a single particular belief? Or is that just hyperbole, and you really are quite a reasonable person?

Even if there are unjust Christians or people who claim to be Christians, i can assure you that they are acting contrary to its teachings. For there is no bond or free, Jew or Greek in Christ. The Lord did not die and suffer on the Cross so as to allow you to enslave or do any harm to anyone. This is precisely why Christianity inspires abolitionists like Bob Brown who fight against the injustice. Islam is the exact opposite it being founded by a slaver, warlord, plunderer and false prophet. Think of it, in contemporary terms if mohamed atta of 9/11 infamy is the poster boy of islamic radicalism, then for Christian radicalism you are gonna get someone like Mother Teresa. Peace be unto you.

Show me in the Bible where slavery is advocated, and I will show you the part of the Bible where Biblical (Mosaic) law calls for the death penalty for buying and selling of slaves. Slavery was never a christian institution. Lets face it every war that comes down the pike is justified with religion. George HW Bush had the reverend Billy Graham come to the white House the night of the opening of hostilities in the first Gulf War
        Exodus 21:16
And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.
Unlike other religions, The JudeoChristian God (Yahweh/Jesus) forbade such practices. The question we need to ask ourselves is where was the clergy during the 17th and 18th century when our ancestors committed this crime against humanity??? That being said. The white Christian man was very late getting into the slavery business and the first culture to abolish it. Slavery still exists in Africa, Asia and the Middle East all areas where the white Christian man does not dominate culturally. Europe Russia North America South America or Australia, anywhere the white Christian man dominates, slavery is pretty much unheard of and if it does exist is ruthlessly stomped out by Police.
Yes religious people are capable of higher thought patterns …and No Christianity is not responsible for Slavery…and yes Jesus Saves

Islam is a Slave Trade based ideology.
Go on and say it Dom107 “Muslims are imitating Muhammad.”
Islam’s foundation was for the purpose of promoting the slave trade.

Nonsense. Islam was founded to sanctify all of mohammad’s practices by way of convenient orders from ‘allah’. Robbery, violence, terror, genocide and yes, slavery. WHY do you suppose that Islamic countries were last to give up slavery? Who provided the great majority of slaves to the European traders- Arabs, of course. Slavery was without any doubt whatsoever a central tenet of Islam, initially one of mo’s ways of rewarding his armies.

Looking at something in an Islamic country and saying “That’s religion for ya!” is a bit like looking at Communist North Korea and saying “That’s political philosophies for ya!”

Religions have very different beliefs and practices. Different ideas have different consequences. This is an Islam problem, not a religion problem.

    White Liberals have problems too.

What about those unfortunate white liberals with manicured lawns who drive around the upscale shopping centers in their new hybrid SUVs and Crossover sedans.
    They must be so confused.
“Yes — Slavery is wrong, Isn’t it?” they ask — while seeking permission to be against Islamic inspired slavery.

If only the MSM could magically take away all reference to Islam, the hand wringer Libs could get on board.

The first US fatality in the Revolutionary war against England was Crispus Attucks, An African American.
    .
And the UN talks of reparations?

Britain abolished slavery throughout the British Empire with the Slavery Abolition Act 1833, the French colonies abolished it in 1848 and the U.S. in 1865 with the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Prior to 1833 slavery was being practiced nearly everywhere on the planet.

Yet currently in Africa and the Middle East, kidnapped women and girls are tied to posts , sold to harems to be sex slaves for the duration of their tortured lives.
The purchasers of these slaves include the friends and families of the Holders of Seats in the UN from countries that still practice rape and enslavement of others in accordance with religious law.

“Koran is not even third grade literature. You can see this man (Muhammad) seems to be not normal. In koran, there is nothing elevating. It is so full of rubbish. It is not a religious book at all. It has come out of a feverish mind and very mediocre. Muhammad’s life was just fighting, killing. On his sword, he has written, ‘My message is peace.”” ~ OSHO, from a series of You Tube videos on Islam, something OSHO studied in great depth.

My neighbour across the street is from Mauritania. He has a wife and 7 children and one more on th way and we suspect that there is another wife and more children in another house/ A year ago this gjuy, Brahmani disappeared for 3 months with his two teenage sons/ his younger son blurted that his dad and brothers went to some country where they kill people and teach people to kill.

the father is back now but the boys had never returned. He waves when he sees me and other neighbours and so far did not cause any trouble. but I am cautious.
