Nowadays even when jihadis say it was jihad, Western authorities say it wasn’t. What does a poor mujahid have to do these days to get recognized?
“IS group claims gun attack in Danish drug neighborhood,” Associated Press, September 4, 2016 (thanks to Lookmann):
HELSINKI (AP) — Danish police say they have no evidence that a gun attack in a Copenhagen suburb known for its hashish trade was ordered by the Islamic State group.
The IS-affiliated Aamaq news agency posted a statement Friday saying that the attacker was “a soldier of the Islamic State who carried out the operation in response to calls to target coalition states.”
But Copenhagen police officer Michael Anderson said Sunday that they didn’t think “it was an attack ordered by Islamic State.” He declined further comment.
On Thursday, Danish police wounded a gunman accused of shooting two officers and a bystander during a drug raid. Police identified him as Mesa Hodzic, a Danish citizen who “apparently” sympathized with Islamic extremists, but said they didn’t believe this influenced the shooting.

Same pitfall ever – law enforcement won’t acknowledge an IS attack unless there’s a direct, documented link between the perpetrators and the IS. The people who act because they saw Al-Baghdadi claiming to be the caliph, reminding them that they must obey the caliph and ordering them to attack non-muslims in their homeland? Anything but IS. Blindness costs lives.

It was an Islamic Jihad attack. Who cares if it was directed by ISIS or not. Attacks by muslims against infidels where the muslims yell Allahu Akbar are Islam-motivated violence.

Indeed what more a poor mujahid can do other than killing dozens of innocent civilians? Authorities allover the world by their ignorance of Islam, deny the martyrdom to these ‘deserving’ muslims.
Do they understand that by denying Islamic links they are robbing the reward of 72 virgins and houris(pearls) to these poor but ‘True Muslims’ ?
Can there be a better violation of human rights than these ?
I wish , no , plead CAIR , ACLU , HRW to take up these cases of martyrs so that people understand their motive and help them reach their goals .

Not enough info.
Shooting over hashish doesn’t make sense. Longer prison sentence for shooting.
Why shoot the bystander?
Did this shooter guy have the drugs?
What were the drugs?

This shows that the authorities have no idea about how this war against secular states is being waged.. They still think in terms of nation states and bureaucratically recruited armies. Whereas the reality is individuals perpetrate acts of religiously inspired political violence.
A one time volunteer need not be registered as a combatant with any officially registered state or islamist group. Because the volunteer believes he is authorised by allah,.and will get a reward after death. Goverments believe that governments have the monopoly on violence and islamists don’t.
