Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

NY Times calls Aleppo capital of ISIS, then capital of Syria while chastising Gary Johnson for asking, “What is Aleppo?”

Sep 9, 2016 3:07 am By Robert Spencer

Raqqa is the capital of the Islamic State. Damascus is the capital of Syria. The New York Times, the “Paper of Record,” is not only a tired Leftist propaganda organ, but also about as reliable as to fact as The Onion. The New York Times is emblematic of the political and media elites with their failed policies, failed analyses, failed solutions, and relentless drumbeat of lies.

“New York Times Mislabels Aleppo Twice While Chastising Gary Johnson’s Gaffe,” by Russ Read, Daily Caller, September 8, 2016:

The New York Times incorrectly cited Aleppo as the capital of the Islamic State while skewering Libertarian Presidential nominee Gary Johnson for his embarrassing lack of knowledge regarding the city.

NYT journalist Alan Rappeport described Johnson’s gaffe as a being a potentially “serious blow” to his hopes of making the debate stage, as he himself labeled Aleppo as ISIS’s de facto capital. To make matters worse, NYT had to run a correction to the correction after describing Aleppo as the capital of Syria….

The series of fumbles regarding Aleppo began Thursday morning, when Johnson was asked by MSNBC’s Mike Barnicle what he would do to solve the crisis in Aleppo.“And what is Aleppo?” replied Johnson….

Gary Johnson is a nice guy but unfortunately he is only going to take votes away from Trump, hence assuring that Hillary will win. For the sake of saving the US from Hillary, he should drop out!

He won’t get enough votes to matter much, but you are right that he should drop out…

Gary Johnson is another Clinton con job (and anti-Trump attack dog) to steal votes from Trump similar to Ross Perot stealing votes from Bush senior.

Gary Johnson also said (paraphrasing Sultan Kinish-mentioned in my previous post) that he shares same values and ideals as Bernie Sanders. AN AVOWED SOCIALIST.

Perhaps someone can explain the shared values? (between a libertarian and a socialist? Sanders is probably more sincere).

Shouldn’t Rappeport’s logic disqualify the NYT from commenting on the debates?

    “ISIS rooting for Trump”

All the usual leftist MSM clowns pop up as well as a few conservative sites
    http://freebeacon.com/politics/hillary-clinton-says-isis-is-rooting-for-trump-white-house/

    Hillary is attempting to say:

    Hillary is the problem.

How disturbing it is to know that Hillary Clinton is aware of what ISIS prays for. Rather like the IRS asking what conservative groups pray for.

    Clinton’s “Potatoe” moment
It is all but ignored by the MSM as she attempts to ‘correctly’ redefine Islamic based terror for the (unenlightened) as:

“A madman filled with hate, with guns in his hands and just a horrible sense of vengeance and vindictiveness in his heart, apparently consumed by rage against LGBT Americans”

I believe the US should be better not interfere in Syria, with Russia ( a potential friend for the Republican ) there. This actually war between Sunnis Saudis-coalition against Assad Alawite. Afterall its just a game played by the Democrats & their now lost partner Turkey. I know that Syria have make so many troubles in the middle east, but with today`s situation, it`s better to recalculate.
What Mr. Trump said about how the States should think / calculate for what they get for each war they interfere is brilliant. Why waste money on war that give you nothing.
& This also comes in my mind, remember when those moderate countries keep saying that terrorist is not part of islam, why don`t we give them chance to prove it. Why don`t we give Syria, Turkey, Arabs fight ISIS in their own & The US / European work on their domestic ISIS/lam terrorism. & The US / European should help them only under a condition, they BEG for help with the world see it as an official request & the US will get something in exchange.

Hillary is a perfect recruitment tool for ISIS.

She will drag us into more wars in the Middle East at the urging of so-called moderate Muslims and be baffled at why the same Muslims who instigated her to get involved will not praise her as she expects and will instead end up condemning her and the US.

“We came. we saw. we killed,” She said while laughing at the horrific death of Kadaffy. I do not wish to be a part of an organization which invades another country with Tomahawk missiles at the whim of Hillary Clinton. It has completely destabilized the Middle East and engulfed it in flames. Nice going, Secretary Clinton, and you want to be what?

Trump must win in order to save the country.

I don’t think Johnson was asking, “What is Allepo?” He was asking, “What is a “lepo”? He just had a little trouble making the transition between topics of conversation. Or …….. maybe he needs an earpiece like the one Hillary uses.

My guess is that Gary Johnson is a typical American politician who gets elected by being closely attuned to his constituents concerns, but perhaps doesn’t pay that much attention to the rest of the world. Heck, I suspect he may think Taiwan and Thailand are the same, as well as Austria and Australia.

Now I think I know what a LEPO is. It’s a person who wins office because the voters just wanted to keep someone else from winning. That elected official becomes a LEPO (low expectations public official).

      • Oliver says

        Sep 9, 2016 at 7:01 pm

        Cogito,

Your definition of LEPO probably, in my view, fits 96% (perhaps more) of the members of Congress ( both parties) and many members of the state legislatures.

Might even go down to the local level-although perhaps there people know what they are doing.

For many years I have challenged the notion that the NYT was the paper of record. Time has proven me correct. Aleppo is in northern Syria. It was once the manufacturing hub of Syria until Sultan Erdogan and Muslim Brotherhood Obama decided to destroy another secular arab state that had done nothing to the United States. Why is the peace movement in the USA silent. Many on the left are say that Assad must go;bernie Sanders was one of these. I say that Erdogan and Obama must go.

Something you line the cat box or bird cage with.

  14. Carolyne says

    Sep 10, 2016 at 11:54 am

I agree with you Eric. I do not think it is the proper role of the united States to change leaders of foreign countries at the whim of Hillary Clinton and the Kenyan. Syria was in no way threatening the United States, nor was Iraq or Afghanistan which were invaded by that genius of world affairs, George Bush–Both of them. Iran is, however, threatening the security of the US yet the Kenyan sends them billions of dollars with which to do it.

I think we should be ashamed at the horrific way both Saddam Hussein and Moammar Kadaffy were murdered at the hands of our surrogates. It is a stain on our country which will never go away.

  15. Geppetto says

And it’s a mystery why American’s, many of whom rank the NYT as the pinnacle of objectivity and reliability, remain ignorant about the true nature of Islam? This is a vivid example of why, 15 years after 9/11, Islam is still considered “a religion of peace” and critics of Islam are considered to be psychologically afflicted with the entirely fictitious, emotional condition called “Islamophobia.” It’s the willful blindness created by the antithesis of knowledge, indoctrination.
