Planes have bombed Pearl Harbor. President Roosevelt said that authorities were trying to determine their motive, and cautioned against painting all Japanese with a broad brush and blaming them all for the actions of a few.
This is a war. The motive of Ahmad Khan Rahami couldn’t possibly be clearer. It is called “jihad,” it primarily means warfare against unbelievers, and is a core tenet of the Islamic religion, Any federal or New York official who is trying to determine Rahami’s motive today should be fired, and, if we had sane administrations in Washington and New York, would be.
“U.S. probing Afghan-born bomber’s motive, foreign travel,” by Joseph Ax and Mica Rosenberg, Reuters, September 20, 2016:
LINDEN, N.J. (Reuters) – U.S. investigators were looking on Tuesday for clues to why an Afghanistan-born man might have planted bombs around the New York area over the weekend, including whether the suspect had accomplices or was radicalized overseas.
Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, was arrested on Monday in Linden, New Jersey, after a gun battle with police. They were summoned by a neighborhood bar owner who thought the bearded man sleeping against his closed tavern’s front door in pouring rain resembled the bombing suspect….
The suspect’s foreign trips were coming under scrutiny, with U.S. media reporting that he had traveled to Pakistan and his native Afghanistan multiple times. Police were looking into whether he was radicalized during that time.
U.S. security sources have confirmed that Rahami underwent secondary screening after returning from foreign travel in recent years and passed on every occasion.
Travelers coming from Afghanistan and Pakistan, which both have a strong Taliban presence, are routinely required to undergo secondary screening.
“There could have been a more intensive holding and screening in that situation,” U.S. Senator Angus King, an independent from Maine, told CNN. “The problem is what happened next didn’t really go into any depth.”
Rahami’s wife left the United States a few days before the bombings, CNN reported on Tuesday, citing a law enforcement source.
‘ACT OF TERROR’
Authorities did not offer any immediate information on the possible motives of Rahami, whom Union County prosecutors charged with five counts of attempted murder in the first degree and two second-degree weapons charges….
More charges were expected to be brought against Rahami in federal court. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio called the Saturday night bombing “an act of terror.”…

Watch the Jamie Glazov Gang current post up at Jihad Watch here, with the brilliant Daniel Greenfield, speaking at 1:05 to 1:10 in that video.
He gets right to the essence of what Lefists just cannot seem to figure out: “If you get Islam immigration, you get Islamic terror. They kind of go together like peanut butter and jelly.”
The entire length of what Greenfield says runs a bit over 10 minutes, but there is so much common sense, context, and observation on collateral damage of terror events.
PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VIEW IT AND PASS ALONG TO FAMILY, FRIENDS, YOUR CLERGY PERSON, AND ELECTED FEDERAL AND STATE OFFICIALS.

You picked the worst example in your generally entertaining sarcastic lead sentence. Most would agree that the Japanese interment (concentration) camps and forced relocation of Japanese US citizens was wrong. The Japanese Americans did not participate in terror attacks within the US for years. There was no “stealth” Japanese movement to destroy America from within.
Your enemies can use this example to support THEIR position. Please be more careful.

IT’S THE IDEOLOGY, STUPID!
To Dave: I EMPHASIZE: Robert Spencer is NOT condemning Japanese Americans…he is condemning the SHINTO RACIAL SUPREMACIST FASCISM of Tojo and his gangsters who sent their country on a suicide mission!
Islam is also a suicide mission! Shinto Fascism is an almost perfect analogy for Islamo-fascism…beheadings, torture, supremacism…the lot.
Dave, you are not reading carefully. No disrespect for Japanese Americans is expressed by Robert Spencer and HE WOULD NEVER THINK SO EITHER.
dave says
Your quick use of the word “stupid” reflects on you own inability to understand sarcasm. Here is the intro:
“Planes have bombed Pearl Harbor. President Roosevelt said that authorities were trying to determine their motive, and cautioned against painting all Japanese with a broad brush and blaming them all for the actions of a few.”
This fictionalized statement of Roosevelt is supposed to satirize the lack of acceptance of the obvious by US officials, as though everyone did not understand the motives behind Pearl Harbor.
The problem is that innocent Japanese Americans WERE treated unfairly by being taken from their homes and forced into relocation centers. This is exactly what the leftist critics of Robert say he is inciting. Therefore, it was a poor example to use.
I understand you probably lack the higher-order thinking skills to understand my comment.

Including the American government, who did not place all and every Japanese-American into an internment camp. Heck, they were allowed to be a part of the military and fought (bravely) against the Japanese forces in the Pacific.
“The Japanese Americans did not participate in terror attacks within the US for years. There was no “stealth” Japanese movement to destroy America from within.”
There was, however, a number of Japanese-Americans that US intelligence, after breaking the Japanese Navy codes, knew would side with the enemies. The best way they could think of to neutralize them without making the Japanese forces suspicious was to arrest several and make it seem that the wannabe traitors were simply caught with the rest.
Not that it matters, since Mr. Spencer’s remark was seemingly aimed not at Japanese Americans but at Japanese people from Imperial Japan who were fighting against the US in the Japanese Imperial Army.

Yes, most people, today, would think that the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans during WW2 was wrong.
But those were not the people of that day.
That was the Era of Eugenics, Nationalism and the older European Empires, opposed to International Bolshevism.
The sides officially switched on June 21, 1941.
The interwar period was one constant civil wars and revolts, in Finland, Baltic states through Poland, Russia, Spain, Balkans, Hungary,,,
It’s entirely possible that the Incarceration did prevent sabotage, since there was a lot to disloyalty to national and imperial gov’ts all over.
It’s always a mistake to judge the actions of the past by the standards of today.
One might try to understand them, but sitting in judgment over people who are long gone is pretty vain and stupid, except for One.

Ha ha, I believe I made him re-start with pre-emptive moderation. I made a long comment where I rebutted his points and it was up for, oh, 30 seconds or so. I was savvy enough to save it in a text file for future reposting. After a couple more tries, I am now greeted with a “your comment is waiting moderation” warning.
ECAW says
Angemon – I have simultaneously decided to keep reposting as you have started to do but I have the advantage that my breakfst time is his bed time. I don’t get the moderation message, just being zapped as soon as he sees them. Perhaps that’s because I’m posting from WordPress…seems odd though. Or perhaps I’ll find the same in a couple of hours.

Mind you, this is what notorious phobe David Cook, professor of Religious Studies at Rice University, thinks about jihad:
“Jihad, like other words taken from a religious context, has a long history and a complex set of meanings. Conventionally it is translated as “holy war”, but this definition, associated with the medieval Crusades, is usually rejected by Muslims as too narrowly Christian. In Arabic, the word’s meaning is literally “striving” or “exerting oneself”, with the implication, on the basis of its usage in the Qur’an, “with regard to one’s religion”. Many contemporary Muslim writers, recognizing the negative connotations that jihad has acquired in European languages, maintain that the word means nothing more than “striving”. Yet this position, predominant among Muslim apologists writing in non-Muslim (predominantly Western) languages, is disingenuous…
“Warfare with spiritual significance” is the primary and root meaning of the term as it has been defined by classical Muslim jurists and legal scholars and as it was practised by Muslims during the premodern era. This meaning is sustained in the standard definition given in the new edition of the Encyclopedia of Islam: “In law, according to general doctrine and in historical tradition, the jihad consists of military action with the object of the expansion of Islam and, if need be, of its defense.” This terse summary of Muslim law and history is the standard, scholarly one.”

Muslims are born radicalized. In most of them it is latent and never comes to the surface. However, I believe many of them are secretly happy when there is a terrorist incident committed by a Muslim. Sort of a pride in their religion. We always see this delight manifested by Palestinians who pass out candy in celebration.
In incidents such as those in Minnesota and New York, one need only look at the religion of the perpetrator. That is the motivation. Wake up DiBlasio. I know he is a Communist, but doesn’t he have a duty to protect the residents of his city and not spout nonsense?
