It will never cease to be puzzling and appalling how anyone could possibly expect any semblance of peaceful coexistence with any jihadist entity.
The gunman who killed two Israelis and wounded five during a shooting rampage in Jerusalem Sunday is now being hailed as a “martyr” by the party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
Some months ago, the Palestinian Authority joined Hamas in declaring another jihadist gunman “a martyr.”
In fact, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the Tel Aviv shooter Nashat Milhem was:
“one of the most precious martyrs whose name has been inscribed with his pure blood that watered the soil of our free land.”
Fatah also called the jihadist who stabbed a 13-year-old Israeli girl while she slept in her bed a “martyr.”
In addition, it was announced that the Palestinian Authority will pay money to the jihadist’s family for murdering the innocent girl:
According to Palestinian Authority law, the family of today’s murderer will immediately start receiving a monthly PA stipend that the PA pays to the families of all the “Martyrs.”
Outraged British MPs recently demanded action following news that millions of pounds were being paid to jihadists:
One Hamas master bomber was alleged to have been given £100,000 by the PLO.
Other ‘salaries’ is said to have gone to families of suicide bombers and teenagers attacking Israel.
Britain has now suspended aid payments.
About 400 million dollars of American taxpayer money goes to aid the Palestinians.
More on this story. “Palestinian leader’s party calls Jerusalem shooter a ‘martyr'”, Fox News, October 10, 2016:
The gunman who killed two Israelis and wounded five during a shooting rampage in Jerusalem Sunday is now being hailed as a “martyr” by the party of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Fatah party wrote on its Facebook page that “the one who carried out the operation today in Jerusalem is a pilgrim martyr, one of the most prominent people in Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a released prisoner,” according to Israeli monitor group Palestinian Media Watch.
A post on the Jerusalem branch of Fatah’s Facebook page also announced a general strike “in Jerusalem in memory of the souls of the martyrs of Palestine and this morning’s martyr,” The Times of Israel reported, adding that the leader of the militant group Hamas called the killer’s parents on the phone to “congratulate” him.
Israeli officials argue that support from the Palestinian Authority for Palestinians killed during attacks incites further terrorism, the newspaper adds.
Husam Badran, a Hamas spokesman based in Qatar, called Monday formilitants in the West Bank to get ready “for a new phase of confrontation.”….
The statement came a day after the attacks which, along with stabbings, have marked a year-long surge in violence that has killed 36 Israelis, two visiting Americans and about 220 Palestinians.
