A hadith depicts Muhammad saying: “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him” (Bukhari 9.84.57). The death penalty for apostasy is part of Islamic law according to all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence.

This is still the position of all the schools of Islamic jurisprudence, both Sunni and Shi’ite. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the most renowned and prominent Muslim cleric in the world, has stated: “The Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-‘ashriyyah, Al-Ja’fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”

Qaradawi also once famously said: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”

“Hairdresser, 35, ‘stabbed to death by her Iranian husband in a Sydney apartment because he was angry she converted to CHRISTIANITY,'” by Belinda Grant Geary, Daily Mail Australia, September 29, 2016 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

A 35-year-old hairdresser was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband inside their apartment because he was upset she had converted to Christianity.

Amir Darbanou was charged with the murder of his wife Nasrin Abek after her body was found inside their apartment in the affluent suburb of Potts Point on Thursday.

The 42-year-old, from Iran, was allegedly enraged that Ms Abek had recently converted to Christianity and killed the hairdresser in a frenzied knife attack on Wednesday night, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Police made the gruesome discovery when they forced entry into the couple’s home at about 6.20am on Thursday after Ms Abek’s father raised concerns for her welfare.

Mr Darbanou had allegedly called his father-in-law in Iran to tell him Ms Abek was dead on Wednesday night and was arrested after her body was found the next day.

Ms Abek’s father said his heartache over her death had been made worse by the fact he had to contact police ‘several times’ before they would act.

He said he became concerned when he had not heard from her for a ‘prolonged period’, Nine News reported.

The 42-year-old, who reportedly ‘stalked’ his wife, did not enter a plea or apply for bail when he appeared in Sydney’s Central Local Court on Friday.

Police said there was no known history of domestic violence between the couple, who had been living in Australia for four years on bridging visas, but neighbours had reported hearing screaming coming from the apartment on Wednesday night….

Those who follow a barbarian are bound to become barbarians themselves. This is the reason that Muslims kill. Killing is what they know. Violence is the only language they can speak.     • This guy was just carrying out the sentence that Mo prescribed for apostasy – death. He is a good muslim and good muslims are the ones we have to fear the most. Luke-warm muslims are not that big a problem except for their contributions to their mosques and radical muslim groups. We must elect Trump who will cut down on muslim immigration.

        Why is it good or bad? It all depends on the vision one has for America. A multi-cultural, polyglot society inclined to vote for big government and moonbeam social theory has the power to block vote and replace the two party system with only one—theirs.

  3. How interesting. News reports here in Australia have stated that she converted to Christianity 5 years ago. That’s hardly recent.

      • I heard of a story where in a Palestinian immigrant family in the USA, the father and a grown son both converted to Christianity unbeknownst to the other, and, out of fear of Islamic traditions about apostasy, neither knew the real story about the other’s “extra work” on Sunday mornings for years.

      However if I Google Nasrin Abek Christianity I get this quote in the Google results:

      The only still present sentence I can find is

    • Note the islamic flag on her tee-shirt. It has quotes from the koran around the edge (allah-o-akbar repeated 22 times). This also has the “allah” written in the center by using four crescents and a sword. The “secular” flag of old Iran (pre-revolution, shah era) had the image of a lion in the middle.

      All I can say is, where are all those feminists and other women, in the west, who seem to be always on the edge in the presence of men, ready to say “excuse me!”, as if they hold up a red flag, whenever the volume of a man’s voice goes a bit higher, not in any threatening way, during a normal conversation?

    Religion is deep conditioning.
    The religion/cult is a major commonality in the marriage.
    How would a Christian or Jew feel if his wife converted to Islam, for example.
    Some reaction from him is par for the course.
    But to kill is primitive.
    He might have at least checked out Christianity first, except that his view has been predetermined by his peers, country, Qur’an etc.
    So she should have known that and divorced, or ran away, so she’s a bit behind the door too.
    He has put God above his wife which is very wrong.
    Not only that but also no babies for Allah the vampire beast in the east.
    When has there been safe outcomes for women in Islam. It is not gonna happen while the Qur’an has influence.

      citycat, Jews and Christians are *not* murdering spouses who convert to Islam–and it is calumny to suggest that they are. It might lead to divorce–after all, your spouse has converted in this case to a creed that wants to subjugate or murder you–but that it hardly the same as an “Honor Killing” like this.

I don’t know if it’s been publicized here, but last week a poll taken by our major left-wing polling company revealed 49% of Australians want all Muslim immigration to Australia banned, 40% are opposed to banning, and 11% undecided.     The results of the poll were widely discussed, with all Islamist parties (Government, Labor opposition, and Greens) outraged, and all TV networks ditto.

    The poll is noteworthy for two reasons: First, *34% of Greens voters* want Muslims banned (Greens leaders are Islamofascist-loving lunatics, whose senators include 1 ex-communist) , and *40% of Labor voters* also want Muslims banned. That is, the pretense that opposition to Muslims is reserved to a few on the political right has been exploded.

    The second reason the poll is noteworthy is because for several years we’ve had *non-stop* promotion of Islam across *all TV networks* (and most print/online – though the vast majority of Australians learn about the world via TV networks).

    In this context, anyone who tended to *oppose* the banning of Muslim immigration would have been more likely to be content to simply answer on that side, as it is the side of the powerful, and (seemed until now) on the side of the majority.

    But anyone tending to think banning Muslim immigration is what is needed would be more reluctant to answer “banning” – given the social pressure created by the media and political class – until they felt absolutely certain.

    If this is true, then the 11% who responded “don’t know” to the poll will almost all ultimately break on the side of banning Muslim immigration – giving a 60%-40% split.

    Further, that doesn’t take into account the confidence people will now draw for siding with the “banning” case as our side gains publicity, and eventually begins to gain more power to tell our side of the story of the profoundly damaging impact Muslims have had on our society.

    • Thank you Lee for reminding us of that poll and the results, especially the 34% of the Greens who are normally left wing immigration supporters. I think the only official reaction to this poll is that Australians must learn to be more tolerant blah blah blah. (And no doubt a taxpayer funded campaign to reeducate us all on the benefits of multiculturalism and the contributions Muslims make to our society.)

      As for this murder, the only coverage I have seen is here on JW and Nigerian news source courtesy of Google.

    • But did you see the poll that a prominent female Muslim did after that one came out. Her comment was ‘Stuff this I’m going to do my own poll’ and asked the same question. She got 46 thousand votes which was far greater than the 1000 that were on the original poll. The results……74% supported banning Muslim immigration. To say her poll backfired would be kind. Given she has a following and early responses (after about 500-1000 votes) were going in her favour, She brazzonly said her poll was more accurate. She changed her tune later when the results started going against her saying that the voters were all zenoists.

      So the truth is a majority of Australians are against Muslim immigration yet not much was made of the above poll. Bet none of you heard about it in the media.

    • Thing is, we don’t have the death penalty in Australia.

      But the murderer doesn’t have an Aussie passport nor citizenship, so far as one can tell from the article. Both parties – the murderer and his victim – were in Australia on “bridging visas”.

      So at least we don’t have any sort of obligation to this evil Mohammedan.

      In the absence of a death penalty, the best option at present seems to me to be the infliction of a long stint in a max-security prison, with no special treatment during incarceration, and no contact with non-Muslim prisoners (so as to obviate ‘prison dawa’), followed – at the end of the sentence, or the end of the no-parole period – by giving him the boot back to Iran, which would work to 1/ rid us, even if not at once, of a dangerous Mohammedan 2/ publicly make the point that murdering your wife – whether for alleged sexual infidelity, OR for changing faiths – is viewed by Australian law and morality, as a heinous crime.

      No human being ‘is’ a demon (that is: an unbodied/ nonmaterial evil spirit-being, incapable of repenting).

      Humans are changeable and therefore capable of repenting.

      You would have been more accurate, had you referred to Muslims as “demon-possessed”.

      That some Muslims are possessed, and that many others are *influenced* by the demonic to some degree, without being what Christians would call ‘possessed’, seems to me to be probable.

    When The Sydney Morning Herald (“The Independent Newspaper”) reported this story
    there was no mention whatsoever of religious motive or an “interfaith” conflict.

    Quite recently a Muslim woman in Australia was feted as a “Young Person of The
    Year”. She gushingly told us that Sharia Law was no problem for Australia because
    “Sha-ree-ah!” can be adapted to Australian Law (or vice-versa?).

    She is now a (gushing) presenter on the national broadcaster’s ABC television.
    I just saw her early this Sunday morning presenting (yet again!) the Australia Wide
    program. It was put on mute and then off.

    They say Australia is rather like Canada except that Australia is closer to the United States.

    Actually it’s all becoming one big Wooly West where we must all cry together, and

      Warren, what you want to say is not clear in the above quoted paragraph. Concerning your first question, many anti jihad news outlets and sites, including this one, already warn and inform the general public about most, if not all, of the points enumerated above.

    • Good for you, Guest. I am a former Foreign Service Officer who has heard a number of tales of what disasters lurk for a Western woman marrying a Muslim man from a core Islamic country. I know teach High School, and the grown daughter of another senior colleague is marrying a somewhat older guy from Kuwait. I privately told my colleague to put his foot down; but I suspect this will be another unhappy story in which experience proves the best teacher (and only because Mr. Experience is the roughest, toughest, meanest teacher who ever got chalk on his coat).

        The concerned father could leave these books accidentally-on-purpose lying around the place. He should also read them himself, so that he is equipped. Rosemary Sookhdeo’s book has some good advice included, by the way, for people like him who discover a family member intends to marry a Muslim.

    He might have premeditatedly murdered his wife for another totally non-religious reason but thinks he can defend himself in court easier if he says he did it for religious reasons. He could claim he was religious and had a spontaneous burst of anger upon hearing about a “conversion” so he could get off from a long sentence.

    Its his word that she converted against her dead corpse which can’t tell the tale. He could be trying to defame and insult her memory by claiming she converted. Proof of conversion from a third party needs to be provided.

      Only the repellent Mazo would consider it slander to say that the victim had left the foul creed of Islam.

      His idea that it looks “better” if the vicious murderer killed the victim because she had left Islam would only make sense in Dar-al-Islam itself, where apostasy from Islam is punishable by death.

      Do we actually have to tell Mazo that it is not illegal to leave Islam in a civilized nation like Australia? Do we have to tell him that that the average Infidel is not going to react sympathetically to a person butchering his wife for having left her faith?

      Once again, notice that while Mazo tries to cast doubt on the motive, he does not actually condemn his coreligionist for having murdered his wife. And why would he? “Honor Killing” is perfectly Islamic.

      • Cravenmirage, courts give lesser sentences for non-premeditated crimes of passion. If he claimed to have suffered an uncontrollable rage at hearing about a “conversion” he could claim it wasn’t premeditated. If he planned to murder her long before the event for another reason, its premeditated murder. Western men have claimed crime of passion when killing their cheating wives in a fit of rage and have gotten lesser sentences for it. If they plotted the murder beforehand they are sentenced harshly. Learn basic law, dunce.

It’s insanely irrational for anyone to not understand that when a religion was founded by a pedophilic, wife-beating, slave-owning, bloodthirsty warlord and its adherents revere him as their ‘holiest’ prophet, many of his followers are going to want to emulate him.
