Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

EU orders British press NOT to reveal when terrorists are Muslims

Oct 5, 2016 9:31 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams

A report from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) found there was an increase in hate speech and racist violence in the UK.

The report makes a whopping 23 recommendations to Theresa May’s Government for changes to criminal law, the freedom of the press, crime reporting and equality law.

Note the astronomical number of victims of violent jihadists; e.g. Muslim-on-Muslim violence; violent persecution of Christians, other infidels and apostates; the Islamic charters to obliterate Israel, and the hatred against Jews routinely propagated in Islamic states, as well as in mosques in Western lands; the abuse of up to a million girls in Britain by Muslim rape gangs; etc. etc. It is peculiar, in light of all that and more, Islamophobia continues to be prioritized by the ECRI.

So now the EU is said to be ordering the British press not to report when terrorists are Muslims, for fear of stirring up “Islamophobia.”

“Islamophobia” continues to be indoctrinated into Western minds as part of a strategy created by stealth jihadists to beat down critics of Islam; this EU order to the press will keep the voting public (which pays the wages of political authorities) in the dark as the West continues to be infiltrated by jihadists.

The ECRI Chair, Christian Uhlund, who blames the press for racism, also blamed Brexit for causing “anti-foreigner” sentiment…

“The Brexit referendum seems to have led to a further rise in ‘anti-foreigner’ sentiment, making it even more important that the British authorities take the steps outlined in our report as a matter of priority.”

In a further mockery, the ECRI is supposed to be a human rights body:

ECRI is a human rights body of the Council of Europe, composed of independent experts, which monitors problems of racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, intolerance and racial discrimination.

Hardly an accurate description. The ECRI has become an accomplice in jihadist crimes against innocents, completely abandoning the human rights of victims of jihad.

“FREE SPEECH CRACKDOWN: EU orders British press NOT to reveal when terrorists are Muslims”, by Katie Mansfield, UK Express, October 5, 2016:

A report from the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) found there was an increase in hate speech and racist violence in the UK from 2009 to March 2016.

Blaming the press, ECRI Chair Christian Ahlund, said: “It is no coincidence that racist violence is on the rise in the UK at the same time as we see worrying examples of intolerance and hate speech in the newspapers, online and even among politicians.”

The report makes a whopping 23 recommendations to Theresa May’s Government for changes to criminal law, the freedom of the press, crime reporting and equality law.

And despite the report not analysing coverage of the historic Brexit vote, Mr Ahlund saw fit to comment on the UK’s decision to leave the EU.

In a sweeping statement, he said: “The Brexit referendum seems to have led to a further rise in ‘anti-foreigner’ sentiment, making it even more important that the British authorities take the steps outlined in our report as a matter of priority.”

The report lays into the British press and urges the government to “give more rigorous training” to reporters.

In the 83-page report, the Commission said: “ECRI considers that, in light of the fact that Muslims are increasingly under the spotlight as a result of recent ISIS-related terrorist acts around the world, fuelling prejudice against Muslims shows a reckless disregard, not only for the dignity of the great majority of Muslims in the United Kingdom, but also for their safety.

“In this context, it draws attention to a recent study by Teeside University suggesting that where the media stress the Muslim background of perpetrators of terrorist acts, and devote significant coverage to it, the violent backlash against Muslims is likely to be greater than in cases where the perpetrators’ motivation is downplayed or rejected in favour of alternative explanations.”….

But as Britain prepares to leave the crumbling bloc, the Government waded in to defend freedom of expression.

In a written statement to the ECRI, the Government said: “The Government is committed to a free and open press and does not interfere with what the press does and does not publish, as long as the press abides by the law.”

ECRI is a human rights body of the Council of Europe, composed of independent experts, which monitors problems of racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, intolerance and racial discrimination.

The group writes reports on every member state every five years and says the documents are “analyses based on a great deal of information gathered from a wide variety of sources.

ECRI visited the UK in November 2015 as it gathered evidence for the report….

So from where does the authority come that says the press has to listen to the orders? That’s kind of like my neighbor telling my kids they can’t have desert.

The British press should have freedom to print the truth…even if it hurts the widdle, evil feelings of the moslims who are raping, murdering, threatening, etc. and not have to listen to any orders from people in other countries.

When will people realize a backbone and principles are necessary to keep from being defeated and subjugated by islam and its adherents from satan.

Being in the US, not Britain-I would venture to guess, from what I have seen in HONEST REPORTING and similar websites, that THE BRITISH–AS WELL AS THE AMERICAN PRESS OFTEN-(USUALLY?) DOES NOT PRINT THE FACTS, IF THE FACTS ARE, THAT MUSLIMS COMMITTED THE CRIMES.

However, for unelected bureaucrats to say what should or should not be printed is offensive.

I agree, but EU is still trying to force your government to make it illegal to mention the word “Muslim” and terrorist in the same sentence.

Some years back, I read that back in the 1929-1940 Depression, F.D.R. wanted to give (government, not from the Roosevelt fortune) money to a newspaper (either Detroit or Philadelphia, I forgot) which was in financial trouble. The newspaper had a history of backing Dems.

Nothing new. The press sucks. Now, my view, more so then when I was growing up- then, at least, the opinions were on the editorial pages, not masquerading as news, as they are now.

    INCONSISTENT HUMAN RIGHTS?

Human rights of European indigenes are being taken away (specifically the freedom of expression) in favor of the supposed right of migrants and other Muslims not to hear criticism.

If one group has a ‘right’ not to be criticized, then EVERY group must have the same right not to criticized.

That would then mean that Stalinist or Maoist communists should not be criticized and holocaust-denying neo-Nazis should not be criticized. Of course, then, Islamic terrorists would never be criticized.

Note: if we go through with such an inconsistent scheme, while Islam is not a race, German Nazis definitely are race. To criticize German Nazis would be true racism.

Here is a hint to get around this, every time there is a crime in the UK print in prominent type, “This was a non-Muslim incident, crime’ , murder”. I think this is negative image reinforcement. By implication all other terror attacks will be Islamic.

No wonder the Brits have voted to leave the Evil Empire!

Press freedom, be it print, radio, TV or the net is a precious right, may it continue, it is more important now than ever.

And, what is fuelling all of this pro-Muhammadan apologetics and general insanity? I don’t really know but I am sure international finance must be involved.

UK print in prominent type, “This was a non-Muslim incident, crime’ , murder”.

And then in smaller type put that they are “100% sure the victim is non-muslim”.
his “:iman/mosque said….. there were chronic/koranic mental problems”
being muslim is a lonely business, “lone wolf”
.though is some instances “wolf packs just happen”
even the words defending islam/muslim achieves a different meaning.

negative image reinforcement. By implication all other terror attacks will be Islamic.

That is great, another good way of communication, and all forms of cartoons, subtle that become unsubtle, as they try to control words and language.

Damocles Junior, ;you are quite right that

Press freedom, be it print, radio, TV or the net is a precious right, may it continue, it is more important now than ever.

International finance, feminism, racism etc. are all being used by a chronic/koranic religiosity, political ideology.

Sun light, disinfectant, elbow grease, water blasting, sand blasting to expose the “great words” and full verses with context and abrogation, used in the koran, hadiths sira, that guide the “true believers”.
Their own words and language as R. Spenser and many others use.
Muslims themselves need to learn what their religion fully means then questioned, publicly.
Is that what they believe, Yes or No?

      • Damocles Junior says

        Oct 6, 2016 at 3:05 am

Thank you Simpleton. And yes, I too believe we have to expose their evil religion for what it is.

But in all of these things we have selective human rights that simply protect islam.

Here in Oz & NZ from time to time we have the press run articles exposing the Exclusive Brethren as a terrible religion and run stories, usually of rebellious teenage girls who have escaped from the clutches of this apparently evil sect.(Because they don’t like it’s moral code and discipline etc) They call for the EB to be banned. But why? They have never murdered anyone nor bombed innocent civilians let alone hijacked an aeroplane. But my point is that the press can freely print this sort of article.

Yet if the press says anything bad about Islam or even Islamists who rape, murder, bash their wives, hijack aeroplanes, shout “Death to non-believers in Islam” or throw a bomb etc the press is in serious trouble with the UN, EU and most Western governments. Again, what is happening?

“The violent backlash against Muslims is likely to be greater…” WHAT violent backlash ? Or is Teeside University dealing purely in hypotheticals ?

However, folks. All is not entirely binary. The EU report was right to point to a spike in xenophobia in the UK following the Brexit vote – a sometimes violent, and often brazenly insulting, attack on Poles and people from the Baltic States (including one probable murder). There have been many press reports, and I have no reason to doubt them.

How am I, who believe in upholding European values and uniting Europe against totalitarian ideologies, notably Islam, supposed to feel when I see my countrymen picking on fellow Europeans – hard-working people, most of whom express love or at least admiration for the UK?

Is it because they’re easy targets? I don’t know. Economics plays a big part, it’s “multi-factorial”. But a lot of what i’ve heard and read from Brits directed against Poles and other EU nationals is ignorant, ugly, and should be of huge concern to the many intelligent people that contribute to this forum.

    • Frank Courtney says

      Oct 6, 2016 at 4:30 am

Any unprovoked violent attack is despicable. The only violent physical attack against Poles I am aware of is the incident in Harlow, Essex, after which a Polish man died. There may have been similar incidents of which I am unaware but perhaps Nico could enlighten me by listing them with corresponding details.

When a very large influx of foreigners settles in an area over a short period of time, as has happened in eastern England, problems are inevitable with likely ensuing resentment from the existing population. The incomers are given priority on social housing, take over local jobs, undercut wages and put pressure on local services, particularly the National Health Service, and infrastructure. Take a look at Boston (Lincolnshire, not Massachusetts) where the indigenous population has been most affected. When I wish to enjoy wonderful Polish culture and hospitality, which I do, I expect to visit Krakow rather than Boston.

Nico extols “European values”. If by this Nico means freedom of expression, true democracy, Christianity, love of old European culture then I’m on board. Unfortunately the Brussels Eurocrats have turned their backs against all of these values, in fact they despise them. The EU exudes totalitarian ideology.

The EU intends to destroy the Nations that belong to it, replacing them with a grey, undemocratic “EUSSR” under the control of an unelected Commission elite. One way to do this is to flood individual countries with foreigners under “freedom of movement” and to forestall protest against it with accusations of xenophobia. Sometimes a phobia is a justified defence mechanism.

The British majority have proved by the Brexit vote they want none of this. It has nothing to do with “hate” but everything to do with wisdom and common sense. The old English word “gumption” comes to mind.

Nico uses “xenophobia” in the same way Moslems and leftists use “Islamophobia”. A pox on such subterfuge.

I love Europe but I despise the bureaucratic nightmare that is the EU. The two should not be confused.

Frank Courtney—You are absolutely correct by pointing out that the EU exudes totalitarian ideology
that is no exaggeration—Great Britain and The United States of America—have gave until it hurts
and far too often, Europe will get its way, sort of, but minus the control of such English speaking
peoples as still exist in Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and America. The New E. U.

Yes, Britons were happy, loving people minding their one business until one fateful day Brexit came long… I honestly can’t tell if people like Uhlund are lying through their teeth, are chronologically and logically challenged or simply buy the nonsense they spout. I mean, from where I’m standing there’s no operational difference, but a correct assessment of the cause can mean the difference between coming up with adequate counter-measures or not.

In a written statement to the ECRI, the Government said: “The Government is committed to a free and open press and does not interfere with what the press does and does not publish, as long as the press abides by the law.”

How delightfully Orwellian – the government is supposed to pass laws that punish the press for stating facts, like the religion of the perps, which may very well be a factor in *why* they commit crimes, while at the same time saying they don’t interfere with the press with freedom of press…

It’s interesting to try to locate how, when and by whom, newly coined terms like ‘Islamophobia’ and ‘homophobia’ came into being. I expect that these terms are all the creation of frustrated postmodernists who are fixated by the power and magic of language as a lever for social transformation. All of their anointed ‘victim identities’ has to be protected from the scrutiny of the ‘dominant culture’ and so these new ‘phobias’ keep being manufactured to keep the broader populations discourse within the narrow prism of ‘persecution and victim-hood’. If the EU has succumbed to this very narrow focus concerning social issues then the British were wise to leave the union and it may be time for the Dutch and Danes, perhaps even France, to escape from this political stranglehold on open discussion.

One of the officers shouted “Allahu Akbar” – the press exploded, the Police apologized…

Just recently Boris Johnson was jubilant when meeting with Erdogan in Turkey. He was ‘ecstatic’ to be in the land of his great-grand parents…

Oh well. Talk about well, I hope that you are keeping well. Best – and good luck to us.

By allowing the barbarian Muslims into the west to carry out their murderous jihad, the west is barbarizing itself deliberately and willfully. My recommendation to the people of Britain (and everywhere else for that matter) is that next time when there is a terrorist attack, the victims and their relatives sue the government. Perhaps holding governments directly responsible for terrorist attacks is the only way that the menace of Islam can be dealt with.

That’s O.K., we all know that “terrorist” = “Muslim terrorist”. Of course, if the terror source isn’t Muslim, the media will blare it out in caps: “AMISH terrorism”, “ZOROASTRIAN terrorism!”, “TREKKIE terrorism”, etc.

This is unworthy of you Robert I expect higher standards from you. Nobody had ‘ordered the UK govt to do anything. The EU has issued recommendations. I am sure this report was complied before the Br888t
vote. In any case the UK govt will disregard it and is under no obligation to use the recommendations.
The UK press and the Express especially loves to sensationalise this sort of thing.

Islamophobia? A phobia is an unwarranted, excessive, or irrational fear, hatred, or loathing of something. Therefore it can’t be objectively determined if it’s clinical Islamophobia unless there is an evaluation whether a comment, belief, or feeling is an evidence based conclusion or is indeed clearly unwarranted. For this there needs to be an unbiased examination of the nature of Islam.

The irony is that it is unlikely such a study will be undertaken because of copious evidence that criticism of Muslim actions justified by references to their holy scriptures would result in deadly violence, violence to protest being called violent.

Consider, if Islam is a “religion” of peace then why is it ordinary for people to be afraid of violence if they criticize it?

As an American, I used to think the Brits were making a big mistake with Brexit, but not any more, not after reading about Mr. Ahlund and the ECRI. If THAT is the kind of thing that membership in the EU means, then I now think the UK can’t get out fast enough.

I always knew that the Channel Tunnel was a really bad idea for the UK. For centuries, many have tried to invade England via the channel, but have not succeeded. Now they have made it easy. Hop on a train and arrive in London. I hope the tunnel is wired with explosives for the time when the rest of Europe attempts to invade with its military. Boom!

    • gravenimage says

      Oct 15, 2016 at 1:21 am

Yes–I believe the “Chunnel” is dangerous for this very reason.

I don’t think the biggest danger right now is an invasion from Europe per se–but Muslims are using the tunnel to invade from Calais. It would be a *lot* more difficult for then to do this by boat.

Now you know why we fought a revolution. Even England got out of the EU before it was too late. Their freedom meant more to them than promises that will never occur. The EU is the center of political correctness, center of corruption, and the centralization of power grabs of all nations of Europe.

    Big headline:

Multiple crimes committed over the weekend. Until details are further confirmed, authorities can only assume that Muslims were involved.

  41. Dandu Sharon says

    Oct 6, 2016 at 5:46 pm

I think this is a GREAT IDEA. How can anyone justify a headline that reads: “Muslim fanatic shouting “Allahu Akbar” slit the throat of Harry White”?

Why not simply write: “A man shouted slogans as he slit the throat of Harry White”?

But why stop there? Identifying the name, ethnicity, or religion of the victim could ALSO shed clues as to the ethnicity/religion of the perpetrator (excuse me) ALLEGED perpetrator – and that would be nearly as awful.

So quick correction to the headline: “A man shouted slogans as he slit the throat of another unidentified man.”

Better – but why the gender identification? Could offend. So, no worries, and final edit:
“A person shouted slogans while the throat of another person was slit.”

Not as upsetting – but why the graphic details; they seem unnecessary. So let’s try this:
“A person stood by while another person died.”

This is very good. But still a little depressing. So last and final edit. Headline should now read:
“Two people enjoyed life together – one more passively than the other.”

There now NO ONE is offended and a positive message is sent to all. Peace.

EU orders British press NOT to reveal when terrorists are Muslims
    ……………………..

That the EU is trying to censor Britain’s press is *appalling*. I can only imagine what they are doing to actual member states.

And note: Muslims are actually mass murdering Europeans, and the EU is demanding Britons censor themselves because they might threaten the “dignity” and safety of the Muslims murdering us.

But this is bullsh*t–the civilized English are not harming Muslims–it is Muslims who are slaughtering Europeans. This is just calumny against the EU’s own citizens.

We’re seeing the same here also, with blaming Islamic Jihad attacks on workplace violence and attempts by main stream news agencies to hide the fact that these jihadist attacks were committed by Muslims.

  45. David says

I’ve been quite astonished at the way governments world wide are trying with desperation, to keep their own citizens in the dark about what is really happening in the world!
Muslims abuse many thousands of children in the UK and the people are lied to by their own Police as well as political leaders? This shows how much contempt the so called “Political Elites” have for the very citizens that voted them in, the very people they work for, and should be accountable to.
It is little different here in the U.S.A. Obama has committed treason against his own people for eight years! And is still in office and smiling.
I only live for the day this CRIMINAL is jailed for his treason and shown to all the world for what he really is.

Please note that ECRI is not a part of the EU, it is part of the Council of Europe, which is another international organisation: http://www.coe.int/t/dghl/monitoring/ecri/default_en.asp.
Not that I condone what the ECRI orders here but you have to get your facts right.

Sounds like the UN and European journalists are getting their orders from Hillary or Bama. One thing I have learned about ineffective leaders is that they play the blame game well. It is their best defense mechanism. This what all socialists and Islamists do.
