Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Maryland Muslim charged with plotting to murder U.S. military member for the Islamic State

Oct 4, 2016 12:56 pm By Robert Spencer

The Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….

Wall painted with Islamic State flag“Md. man charged with planning to kill US military member to support ISIS,” Fox 5, October 3, 2016:

GREENBELT, Md. – A Maryland man has been charged with plotting to kill a U.S. service member on behalf of ISIS, officials said.

Nelash Mohamed Das, 24, has been charged with attempting provide material support and resources to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) [sic], a foreign terrorist organization, in connection with a plan to attack a U.S. military member, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

Authorities say Das is a citizen of Bangladesh who came to the United States in 1995 when he was four years old. He became a legal permanent resident and was living in Hyattsville, Maryland.

“The danger posed by Mr. Das during this investigation was very real. He was committed to carrying out an attack against a military member,” said Special Agent in Charge Gordon B. Johnson of the FBI’s Baltimore Division. “Through our proactive investigative stance, we were able to ensure the citizens of Maryland were protected. The covert nature of the defendant’s alleged actions is a stark reminder of the challenges we face in preventing attacks, and underscores the critical need for those with knowledge about terror plots to come forward.”

According to court documents, Das had expressed his support for ISIS and the terrorist attacks in Paris and in San Bernardino, California on social media from Sept. 28, 2015 to early 2016.

Das met with a person believed to be a supporter of ISIS in May, but was actually a confidential source working for the FBI, documents say. Das told the source he knew and communicated with people overseas who were part of ISIS.

In July, Das told the FBI source that he wanted to kill a U.S. service member living in Prince George’s County in Maryland and obtained information the previous year from a list posted online by ISIS. He also told the source he could acquire a firearm and wanted to travel overseas for ISIS if he had the opportunity.

According to records obtained by authorities, Das took a handgun licensing class at a firing range throughout the summer of 2016 and submitted his fingerprints with Maryland State Police to obtain a handgun permit.

After several meetings with the FBI informant, Das said that he was looking for names of potential targets for them to kill while using guns acquired by the informant.

On Sept. 11, Das met with the FBI source and confirmed to him that he was 100 percent committed to conducting an attack, saying, “That’s like my goal in life.” The following day, Das said he wanted to be paid by ISIS for future killings, but was willing to do it for free also. He also confirmed he specifically wanted to target U.S. military personnel.

On Sept. 28, Das and the confidential FBI informant drove to a firearms store in Virginia and purchased ammunition. At Das’ request, the source provided information of a target believed to be a member of a U.S. service member, but was actually false information provided by the FBI. Das also believed the information came from ISIS and he would be paid $80,000 for conducting the attack. After buying the ammunition, Das and the source traveled to a location in Maryland of the supposed military member to conduct surveillance….

“On Jan. 30, 2016, Das reportedly tweeted a picture of an AK-47 assault rifle along with the message, “This is more than just a gun. This is a ticket to Jannah,” a reference to the Islamic concept of paradise.”

To bad we can’t punch his ticket with a .45 double tap. Sure would save the tax payers a lot of money and allow the FBI to move on in finding others of his ilk.

One of the explanation as to how such totally unconscionable, ruthless, vicious actions and murderous are committed by the Muslim terrorists who compose the brutal and deadly jihad entity ISIS is answer in the following . The jihadists of ISIS are engaging in the Islamic doctrine of “Muruna” which is the dogma of Islam that teaches committing evil for the greater good is a noble part of the jihad for Islam. This is, in essence, the same type of “philosophy” that the communists had gone by in the twentieth century. That it’s a “good thing “ to commit many evils to obtain a “worker’s paradise.” Likewise, during World War II even the Nazis had this line of thinking.” To express, as in to illustrate this idea, even more, is by using a twenty-first century movie. Near the end of this movie, just before the final defeat of the super-arch –villain General Zod , that super villain said “No matter how brutal and deadly I was I did it for the greater good.” That is the common mindset of many villains including those of ISIS.

”Authorities say Das is a citizen of Bangladesh who came to the United States in 1995 when he was four years old. ”

He’s lived for 20 years in the US, and presumably was educated in your state schools, has had access to the best democracy has to offer, but ‘ … Das met with the FBI source and confirmed to him that he was 100 percent committed to conducting an attack, saying, “That’s like my goal in life.”

Does anyone *still* really think mohammedans can ever be assimilated into civilised society ? It will only ever be a veneer, because unless they apostasise, mohammedans will always be mohammedans, in thrall to their vile creed.

‘ … a legal permanent resident.” Is that the same as a citizen, or can this creature be deported after serving his sentence ?

      Mirren10,

      Thank you for the comments.

This person was 4 years old when he was brought to America, he was in his formative years, who shaped his future?

It appears a Muslim can be taken out of a Muslim country, but the Qur’an can’t be taken out of the Muslim.

”It appears a Muslim can be taken out of a Muslim country, but the Qur’an can’t be taken out of the Muslim. ”

Very true. Unless, of course, a muslim has an apotheosis and apostasises.

Are you American ? Is ‘a legal permanent resident’ the same as a citizen, or can he be deported ?

And yes you are correct, “Unless, of course, a muslim has an apotheosis and apostasises.”

A bit of background: Greenbelt is a very left of center suburb of Washington DC. Hyattsville is an older working class suburb of DC.

Most people are willing to live and let live even if their neighbors fly the ISIS meatball flag. Furthermore, you’re not likely to find many who are armed.

In other words, Mr. Das couldn’t have chosen a better place to be himself in plain sight of everyone else. I would imagine that had he actually gotten Sudden Jihad Syndrome everyone would have been “shocked” and said that this “isn’t the Islam they know.”

This is how leftist fairy tails are told.

Obama and Hillary have the same mind-set. Mo matter how much lying, illegal, immoral, unconstitutional activity: illegal immigration, import of Muslim jihadist, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, pay and play Clinton Foundation, FBI conspiracy not to prosecute for violations of national security, destruction of confidential and hacked files, etc., it is done for the betterment. It is a lie and they know it is a lie. It is about power. The majority of women will ignore all this evil and vote for Hillary. This is pure gender bigotry. Many women will belittle their country their fathers their husbands, their brothers, their sons and their own gender because they have been influenced by prejudices of the leftist universities and media. They will do just as the African American Christian did when 90% voted for an extreme abortionist, a gay activists, ill advised separation of church and state policies, which is contrary to all of their known biblical and historical teachings. Thus they too, like Obama, are proven racial bigots because they voted for color as women will vote for gender. Shameful.

College Park community gathers to remember Farhad Siddique
    http://www.dbknews.com/2016/10/06/university-of-maryland-student-vigil-farhad-siddique/

Siddique, a junior at the University of Maryland, was killed Sept. 28 — the day before his 20th birthday. Police believe his father, Nasir Siddique, killed his wife, 48-year-old Zarqa Siddique of Bel Air, before coming to College Park and shooting Siddique outside Parkside apartments before turning the gun on himself. Prince George’s County Police and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office categorized the incident as a domestic murder-suicide.
