How long will it be before someone — anyone — in the Washington establishment wakes up and realizes that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is not really pursuing a “war on terrorism” at all? How long will the U.S. keep pouring billions into Pakistan hoping this will happen, only to see a great deal of that money end up in the hands of the very terrorists it was given to Pakistan to fight?
The political establishment is dominated by fools, charlatans, idiots, and people who are only in it for the money and perks that political power offers them. A massive housecleaning is long overdue.
“Will continue to cooperate with Pakistan in war against terrorism: US,” Dunya News, October 29, 2016:
WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – US Department of State deputy spokesperson Mark Toner while briefing the newsmen in Washington on Fariday said that the United States is will continue to cooperate with Pakistan in war against terrorism, Dunya News reported.
Answering a question regarding this week’s terrorist attack on the Police Training College in Quetta, Mark Toner offered condolences to the families and friends who lost their loved ones in this terrible attack.

The vast majority of the retards in the Sate Dept will be looking for new jobs if Trump is elected and I really hope he is elected POTUS.
Maybe then the west will follow his lead and awake from the comatose state of wilful denial.
The UN should be defunded and the OIC removed from influence ALL aid should be stopped from going to Islamic nations that have been shown to support Jihad against the west.
Moves should be made towards Venezuela to give assistance to them in return for developing oil contracts as they have greater reserves than the Saudis, this would effectively turn off the income to the Saudis that is being used to spread Wahabism around the west
ALL immigration into the west from Muslim countries should be halted and those who have arrived into the west within the last 15 years should be examined and scrutinised and revoked if it is found to be a potential threat to security
groups like CAIR, CAGE ISNA etc should be shut down and their assets seized along with prosecuting the leaders.
Anti terrorism training should reintroduce the manuals showing the influence of Islamic texts upon Jihad groups intent on implementing Sharia across the west
This would be a damn good start across the free world in restoring the values that the west has been built upon.

I certainly hope that’s the case.

But will Pakistan actually cooperate with the US on terrorism?
I’m sure Pakistan will take whatever money and military assistance the US offers but will Pakistan actually do anything worthwhile in return.
The fact that Osama bin Laden was able to live in Pakistan for years doesn’t indicate that Pakistan is a very effective partner.

Time to recall those American ambasadors from Pakistan before their heads go off! The same goes for the one in Bangladesh or other neighbouring areas! Back in the days, it was a luxury and total trust to have a ambasador to a country. Today, you could be an ambasador and have your head off, be iradiated, linched, kidnapped, robbed before you would be recalled!

“How long will the U.S. keep pouring billions into Pakistan …”
Answer: As long as they possess an arsenal of nuclear weapons, we will continue to pay tribute to the Islamic pirates of Pakistan. To keep an eye on those weapons, and in order to to have any visibility into their deployment and to have any influence on their non-proliferation, we pay the tribute. Or else the nukes might get “mislaid” or something.
That’s the way I see it. It’s a classical Islamic extortion racket. They know it. And we know it. The big question is, what have these pirates hidden from all of us in spite of promises (worthless Islamic promises) to abide by international agreements regarding nuclear weapons?
Lawrence says
That doesn’t make any sense. Giving them military hardware does not translate to keeping an eye on their nuclear weapons. How so? See my response below as to why America does this.

Seeing that the attack happened in Quetta, the perpetrators are probably the separatists from Balochistan, a province forcefully annexed by Pakistan at the time it gained independence from the UK.
The Pakistani government is mercilessly slaughtering any dissident voices in the region and my guess is this ‘terrorism’ is a result of the government brutalities.
If the US were interested in being on the side of justice and liberty, it would be criticizing the government crackdown or at least leaving well alone rather than co-operating with Pakistan in quashing this movement.

The problem for the US is, as Trump says, is it’s various arms of government are run by incompetent people. In the intelligence/ foreign relations arena they fundamentally do not understand Pakistan and what motivates the various power brokers. The the Pakistanis have different aims but none are anti islamist. Pakistan’s intelligence service often works for it’s own objectives rather than the Pakistan government or that of a defence partner like the US. Pakistan’s focus is completely against India in the first instance, and this includes countering Indian influence in Afghanistan, which their believe works against them. The intelligence service use certain jihadist groups to further these aims, which has resulted in terror attacks in both these countries. So they will not be crushed while they are still useful to those in power. For America to keep funding such a two faced partner is astounding, but no doubt privately they are told if you stop the dollar pipe line, “we cannot guarantee the security of our nuclear weapons”.
Lawrence says
None of you people get it. So so very very naive. It’s all about money, It’s all about what is good for American corporations. In this case defense contractors. American corporations run America, and own American politicians, Senate and Congress included. They could care less about the fact that Pakistan is Muslim extremist, same goes for the Persian Gulf states. As long as they can sell their F-16s and other military hardware, because it’s all big profits. That’s what it is about and it wouldn’t change under a Trump presidency. He couldn’t change it if he wanted to.
Stendec says
Every business on the planet is about making money. You make money and grow, or your business dies. People who want to make lots of money fast don’t go for defense contracts–very small production runs on fragile contracts having the constant threat of instant cancellation at the whims of government. If you want to make a lot of money, you sell iPads or automobiles or Viagra or insurance. Something with endless, steady demand and high volume of sales. The reason that companies get into defense is that that is where cutting-edge technology is first applied–to stay competitive, the high-tech companies want to stay on the cutting edge, and ceaselessly look for commercial opportunities to apply that technology. It is those spinoff high-volume commercial products where there is big money to be made.
As for foreign military sales, these give you influence in the country that is getting the weapons. Such weapons have to be supported and sustained. That takes frequent contract with the elites of that country, who usually are closely involved with their military. So this contact gives you some diplomatic leverage. The recipient country also becomes dependent on the supply chain of spare parts and technical support. That real dependency also gives you some influence in what they do with those weapons, and what they do generally in foreign affairs. Finally, if you don’t sell them weapons, they will get the weapons from some other, potentially hostile supplier, like Russia or China, who will then accrue all that influence, such as it is. Of course, the recipient country will play us off against the Russians and the Chinese to try to get the best deal. So that is a sad reality.
Selling weapons to Pakistan (or anyone else) is NOT about big profits for greedy defense contractors. It is about government policy and global strategy, trying to keep some kind of stability in a corrupt and violent world, chock full of greedy people everywhere.
Deals have to be made somehow. It would be better if those making the deals were on our side, and if those making the deals put our interests first instead of last. Integrity is crucial–deals have to be made with our eyes wide open. In the case of Pakistan, a thorough understanding of Islam is needed, but is totally lacking in favor of some fantasy concepts held by mal-educated and mis-informed diplomats, military, and government apparatchiks. That ignorance is bad enough. But today we have our government and other institutions compromised–completely infiltrated by the enemy. These moles are buying influence (that’s where the real “dark money” is), subverting our laws, and steering our diplomacy in a self-defeating direction.

The Mumbai attacks were coordinated and perhaps instigated by members of the ISI, Pakistan’s intelligence organization. They were given instructions as they tortured to death two friends of mine, Gavriel and Rivki Holtzberg. Pakistan should not get a penny from the United States.
Cecilia Ellis says
FedupAmerican, thank you for posting your comment. While I did not know Gavi or Rivka, I recall my sense of horror at hearing of their slaughter in Mumbai. They were specifically targeted, tortured, and murdered for one reason alone: They were Jews. The memorials at the time revealed just what wonderful, giving people they were. Albeit belated, I extend my warmest condolences to you for the friends you lost that night at the hands of Lashkar-eTaiba terrorists, who indeed had a direct relation with Pakistan’s ISI.
You are right. Not one cent of American money should go to Pakistan, as the ISI is corrupt, as exemplified by the fact that Osama bin Laden was able to live in Abbottobad for years, across the street from the prying eyes of the equivalent of our USMA at West Point.

Robert Spencer asked in the above article: “How long will it be before someone — anyone — in the Washington establishment wakes up and realizes that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is not really pursuing a ‘war on terrorism’ at all?”
The sad reality is that MOST, if not ALL, of the U.S. State Dept. (and throughout the “Washington establishment”) consists of traitorous members of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations), which is simply the U.S. version of the globalist “Round Table” groups that were initially founded in the U.K. early in the 20th century. NONE of them will ever see Pakistan as an izlamic (sic – on purpose) adversary – and THAT is a very real danger to U.S. national security (not to mention to our ever-increasing national debt).
