Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

US cardinal: “It is clear that Muslims have as their ultimate goal conquest and power over the world”

Oct 8, 2016 9:58 am By Robert Spencer

Cardinal Burke’s line runs directly counter to the rainbows-and-moonbeams Islam of Pope Francis. He is, apparently, too prominent for Catholic authorities to try to silence, unlike other foes of jihad terror whom the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and individual bishops have worked so assiduously against. Cardinal Burke must get a chilly reception from his peers when they all get together.

Cardinal Raymond Burke

“Top Cardinal: Islam Wants to Conquer the World, and the West Is Letting It,” by Nick Hallett, Breitbart, October 8, 2016 (thanks to John):

Speaking in an interview with Italian newspaper Il Giornale, Cardinal Raymond Burke accused Westerners of being too weak to acknowledge the incompatibility of Christianity and Islam.

“It is clear that Muslims have as their ultimate goal conquest and power over the world,” the American cardinal said. “Islam, through sharia, their law, will rule the world and permit violence against infidels, such as Christians. But we find it hard to recognise this reality and to respond by defending the Christian faith.”

“Many people do not understand what Islam really is,” he added. “They create these slogans: we all believe in the same God, we are all united by love and so on. It’s not true.”

He also said that modern Christians are often unwilling to proclaim their beliefs, and should not be afraid to convert people of other faiths.

“Christians have neglected a fundamental truth: there is only one Saviour of the world: Jesus Christ. We must not proselytize, imposing Christianity, but if we believe in Jesus it is our duty to bear witness.

“I think that this witness is not very strong, even in countries that were called Christian once upon a time, such as the European nations.”

Cardinal Burke, who is regarded as a leading traditionalist within the Catholic Church, went on to say that Islam poses a threat to the Western order because it makes no distinction between religion and the state.

“Islam is a threat in the sense that for the true Muslim, Allah must rule the world. Christ said in the Gospel: ‘Render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s’. By contrast, the Islamic religion which is based on the law of the Koran aims to govern all countries where there are Muslims.

“While they are the minority they cannot insist, but when they become the majority they must apply the Sharia.”

We can already see this in some Muslim-majority neighbourhoods, the cardinal added.

“Today there are enclaves, entire neighbourhoods, in Europe where there is in fact Muslim rule.”

Speaking about so-called “no-go zones” such as Molenbeek, Cardinal Burke said that the existence of such neighbourhoods represented a failure of integration, calling them “a state within a state”.

“The problem is that Muslims aim for expansion,” he added. “The whole history of the Islamic presence in Europe is an attempt to conquer it.”

Rather than through arms, that expansion will come through immigration and high birth rate.

“Several times I have heard Islamists explaining: ‘What we failed to do with weapons in the past, we are doing today with birth rate and immigration.’ The population is changing. If this keeps up, in countries like Italy, the majority will be Muslim.”…

Isn’t this what the Pope of the Catholic Church should be saying loud and clear for everybody to hear? I am an atheist and approach this from a completely unattached perspective when I say that the Catholic Church is operating without a Pope right now. Considering all of what it was founded upon and stands for, it no longer has a leader for any of that.

      Don McKellar,

      Thank you for the comment.

You say, “Isn’t this what the Pope of the Catholic Church should be saying loud and clear for everybody to hear?”

A resounding yes – that is the message that the Pope, along with many others, should be shouting loudly and clearly from the rooftops

What Cardinal Burke has said is especially interesting in light of the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.

A few quotes from the book: “50 Years in the Church of Rome by Charles Chiniquy, a former Roman Catholic Priest who served for 25 years in the RCC.

The words of Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.

“As for holy obedience, this virtue must be perfect in every point, in execution, in will, in intellect; doing which is enjoined with all celerity, spiritual joy and perseverance; persuading ourselves that everything is just, suppressing every repugnant thought and judgement of one’s own in a certain obedience; and let everyone persuade himself, that he who lives under obedience should be moved and directed, under Divine Providence, by his superior, just as if he were a corpse (perinde acsi cadaver esset) which allows itself to be moved and led in every direction.”

“We ought to hold as a fixed principle that what I see white I believe to be black, if the superior authorities of the Church define it to be so.”

Pope Gregory XVI in his Encyclical of the 15th of August 1832: “If the holy Church so requires, let us sacrifice our own opinions, our knowledge, our intelligence, the splendid dreams of our imagination, and the most sublime attainments of the human understanding.”

So, it appears that Cardinal Burke is a glimmer of hope, a clear voice in a murky world.

Don, Dan, etc: and members of mainstream churches: There are many protestant church leaders who remain silent on this issue and other moral issues in the past. The 501c3 gov controlled churches have muzzled clergy, are told to be politically correct, and focus on churches being social clubs and businesses. Best to leave these churches now, and get with small groups off gov. radar or home church with family. Lutherans and other liberal church denominations are getting gov. funds to resettle these invaders in the U.S. to later become jihadists taught in the mosques. ‘Best to leave these churches now and get with small groups off…radar…’.

I’m a Roman Catholic who never entertains the idea of ‘leaving’ my church. The Catholic Church is my anchor, it is my path to God. In like manner: As we speak our country is corrupt from bottom to top, in great peril, and engaged in acts so ‘un-American’ that Alinsky himself would blush…

        Well, maybe not Alinsky…(!?)

But my point is, do any of us contemplate ‘leaving’ the USA? Renouncing our citizenship? Anybody? Of course not. And if one is in a ship at sea at the height of a typhoon, with the captain drunk in the wheelhouse, does one jump over the side?

You’re right Laura: To the great majority of Americans, their church is not some club they join for fun and laughs. Instead it IS their foundation. Recall the impression we-the-people made on the young French nobleman Alexis De Tocqueville, when he visited us in the 1830’s. ‘I looked for the secret to American in her courthouses, in her town squares. I looked for it in her schools and universities. I did not find it there. Then I ventured into America’s churches, and there I found the secret of America’s freedom. For there they worship with a full confidence that, whatever may be lacking in their individual substance or resolve, their God will timely supply.’

“…too prominent for Catholic authorities to try to silence…”?

    Nope.

Soon after he was elected, Pope Francis – abruptly and without *any* ostensible reason – removed Cdl. Burke from his position as Head of the Roman Rota [Court] and relegated him to an obscure post with no real power, as “Patron of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta”.

It would be like taking the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court and relegating him to “Patron of U.S. Law School Societies”. It was widely seen as politically motivated, arrogant, and harsh.

Pope Francis tries to portray himself as soft and sweet, but he is not. Those who know him well say he is an authoritarian and someone who rules with an iron fist. He is known to have quite the temper and will brook no opposition. Cardinal Burke’s demotion is an example of this harsh side of Francis.

Rich, it is a demotion as you said, but maybe the hand of God is behind it after all. The knights of Malta along with the native Maltese, after all, held out against a siege by the Turks in 1565 under the leadership of Jean de la Vallette. Vallette fully understood what jihad meant, and what the Maltese were able to withstand with him at their head was unbelievable. I would be proud to become a member of this group. Maybe Cardinal Burke will have a great role in the present and upcoming battles, which are also being fought on a spiritual plane.

Regardless of political titles, Cardinal Raymond Burke speaks as the Pontifex Maximus should. He should be the Pope.

This man of God should be God’s Supreme 5-Star General in the largest Crusade ever. Although the Pope commands no military and has no nuclear weapons, he should be rallying every Christian on Earth about the truth and threat of Islam. And please stop making me barf with the pics if you washing Muslims’ feet. This makes excellent propaganda for the Ummah.

If the Pope truly believes The Trinity is God; the ONLY God, then he must SAY IT, loud and clear to everyone, including to the Ummah. No more of the John Lennon bullshit where we all must respect each other’s beliefs, because if he’s read the Quran and Sunnah, then he knows such a Coexist fantasy is impossible. Moreover, The Trinity is the ONLY Divine Authority, and he knows it, so he must start showing it. That’s his job.

The Pope has influence, and the ears of World leaders to help them form Alliances to extinguish Islam from God’s Earth.

The Ummah cares not about John Lennon. They care about fighting with unthinkable terror until all Kaffir on Earth believe in Allah. They’ve been trying for 1400 years, they’re deadly serious about it, and they’ll never give up.

So please Francis, abdicate your post. You’re unfit for the unprecedented duties required of human’s highest religious leader during this Existential threat to God’s people. You’re not the right man for the job. This is not a time for kissing babies. This is a time for war on a scale the World had never seen.

We need a Crusader in your position. We need a fighter. Cardinal Raymond Burke is that man. Step down and let him lead.

For God’s Sake, His civilization is at stake.

Now would be a good time for a worldwide campaign to broadcast the truth about Islam. As I understand it all the latest evidence suggests the Koran may in fact have been written before Mohammad was even born and his uncle may have decided to make everyone believe he was the chosen one (see Christian apologist Jay Smith on YouTube), and that the Koran could never be the original words of God handed down to Mohammad via the Angel Gabriel because the handful of “original” Korans that exist today are incomplete and don’t even agree with each other (see Jay Smith and also see James White on YouTube). These and other scholars point to the fact that Muhammad was not a prophet because he never prophesied anything. In fact early Islam’s followers actually faced the wrong direction when praying because the Caliph-in-charge wanted them facing toward him; don’t believe Allah would have approved of that. Isn’t it time for a 21st century “Crusade” to do battle against the Nazi-like false beliefs and practices that demean woman and minorities and falsely cotton-up to American blacks when in fact historically (and even today in the modern world) they were the ones who were instigators of the slave trade and still enslave women and men. May the force be with us all as this battle goes forth. Although I am a non-believer in both the Muslim and Christian camps, I was raised in a Christian environment and still cherish many of those values, as do my both Christian and Muslim friends and relatives. And in closing I’d have to say thank God for Cardinal Burke; finally a leader with balls enough to stand up and tell the truth.

While I agree that the Muslim belief system IS illegitimate as Religion, and Dictatorial as Political Doctrine, I’m thinking that a “CRUSADE” isn’t exactly the solution…but a REVIVAL of Christianity is more the need, and THEN, a purging of the Nations that are being over run by immigrants would be the next needed action; (A Christian, just witnessing to a Muslim, can give cause for a battle); — This is something that we Christians NEED to realize; how Muslims dominate…first they intimidate, then attack verbally, then physically! And, the time between one method and the physical attack, is VERY SHORT. We need to become more Christian Warriors that refuse to yield to the Muslim attitudes of intimidation & superiority, and we NEED to stand up for our Faith, and Culture!! But, an ALL OUT WAR might very well be the ONLY solution that the Western Muslims allow us…so be it!!

Muslims that grow up and learn of goodness elsewhere than the pure evils of their chosen way of gang life, (“the life we’ve chosen”), will repent, and apostasize, the rest who remain at war with all others whom they intend to conquer, need the lesson of war applied to their personal failures to grow up to be good:

The lesson of all war torn time of history, Lemay understood well, Patton and MacArthur too, “I’ll tell you what war is about: you’ve got to kill people, and when you’ve killed enough they stop fighting.” – GEN Curtis LeMay, USAF (1906-1990)

There is no excuse for no go areas, distributed gangland headquarters, that if not taken out, will coalesce, as they will.

A massive difference between the authentic migrants of the past, who had enclaves of Irish, Italian, etc. None of them were dedicated to violence, nor to taking over their new adoptive country, America, absolutely none, but all muslims are charged with exactly that mafia, nazi goal – to conquer!!

Muslims are not true migrants, it is war by hijra, and herd breeding. Muslims are split offs of a gang, no more-no less!!! For those who actually don’t yet know that, because they have never read their manuals of gang warfare, (koran, hadiths), when they do so read, they will either reject it bravely and intelligently, as so many already have, of adopt the full way of the gang!

The idea that there was no resistance to the Nazi’s Blitzkrieg is utterly false.

This is like saying there was no resistance to Islamic conquest across North Africa, the Middle East, and Anatolia. Good people fought and died for this cause–that it was not successful does not invalidate their sacrifice.

And notice that, once again, “Defen0derofIsliam” refers to Muslims not as “peaceful”, but as “preacefull”–i.e., Da’wa artists–a Freudian slip?

        Certainly, Muslims are *not* peaceful.

Pope Francis is simply another “useful idiot” in the Spiritual Battle that is raging all around us. The Scriptures tell us that there is coming a One World Government and a One World Religion and it appears that the Roman Catholic Church will be at the forefront, thus, people like Francis are necessary for these changes to take place.

There is an attempt in the Catholic Church to restore the faith as it was taught before the Vatican II Council ripped it to shreds.. This Council was the rotten fruit of an internal man-centered heresy called “Modernism”. Almost the entire Catholic Church has turned to the Modernist heresy and forgotten the faith as it was taught for centuries. The current Pope and almost all the hierarchy hold to positions that would have been condemned just 60 years in the past

One Archbishop LeFebrve, who attended that Council in the 1960’s started a priestly society called the Society of St Pius X (SSPX) to combat the errors promulgated at Vatican II. One such error is a false ecumenism which causes the Vatican II Church to teach “we all worship the same God” which causes the faithful to become indifferent to their faith and become blind to the threat of Islam. The SSPX has a website which can explain their positions further on all such issues:

      http://sspx.org

Various lay groups such as the people who publish The Remnant regularly publish critiques of most of the idiocy running rampant in the Catholic Church today.

      http://remnantnewspaper.com/web/index.php

So when you hear of some ridiculous statement coming from “The Catholic Church” or one of its prelates or spokesman, you have to understand that there is a de facto schism in the Church between the Modernists and Traditional Catholics. Right now the Modernists have the upper hand., very similar to the Arian heresy when most of the bishops were in fact Arian heretics opposed only by a handful of bishops – who were persecuted like Cdl Burke. This Modernist heresy is why Daneels of Belgium can support blessing homosexual unions and get away with it, and Cdl Shonborn can promote “gay married couples” in his diocese with impunity – something unheard of 60 years ago, and something that would have been widely condemned. The current “Pope” is a Modernist heretic too- which is why Traditional Catholics often feel justified in ignoring him. Also, obedience in the Church is never blind obedience, one has a duty to inform one’s conscience and align it with the teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in Scripture and handed down by the Church for 2000 years. When anyone in the Church takes a stand against such teachings, even a Pope, the faithful have both the right and the duty to oppose him.

      Dear Wellington

You said: “I would have to wonder what God was up to to let such a fool as Francis be elevated to the papacy. Any Catholics care to respond here?”

You might be interested in a little article by Matt Fradd that is a fairly readable answer to the general question: How can a good God permit evil?? Here-

      http://www.catholic.com/blog/matt-fradd/the-problem-of-evil

I am not an apologetics expert, nor can I read men’s hearts, so in the specific case of a weakling such as Pope Francis – I cannot give you a specific answer, but in general we believe in redemptive suffering – joining our suffering’s to Christ’s to take advantage of his merits. Sometimes even God’s people must bear suffering and injustice, as Jesus did. In short, we are honored and happy to emulate Him, to walk and embrace the Cross. Only then are we worthy of Him.

I would like also to point out that Saint Peter, who we Catholics believe to be the “first Pope” , (Jesus’ lieutenant more or less ) was chosen by Jesus, but proved to be a weak man, who ran away and denied that he even knew Jesus when He was arrested . Later he waffled on issues of Jewish Law such that he had to be admonished by Paul.. Popes are not impeccable by any means. But in the end, even the weak man Peter was redeemed. It gives us hope and joy when a weak man becomes redeemed despite his weakness.

Thanks to Michael Poulin and le mouron rouge for their responses. Much appreciated.

I do wish the Catholic Church still had the previous ponifex maximus as its leader. Just as good, if not better, would be an Urban II or an Innocent III (oh yeah, imagine that). Hell, I’d take Alexander VI over the pathetic excuse now functioning as Pope. Sure Alexander was corrupt, but he was no fool (damn good judge of great art as well) and I’ll take a corrupt non-fool over a non-corrupt fool leading the Church if I have to choose between the two. Have to wonder about anyone who wouldn’t, whether Catholic or non-Catholic.

Optimally, the papacy serves as a moral beacon in a world which is in desperate need of moral beacons. And so it is imperative that the Pope is subtle, three-dimensional, shrewd, a political chess master, an intellectual with both feet on the ground, et al. Sure don’t have that now. Not by a mile.

      Free Will, my friend.

God chose Jesus for us. Beyond that, men choose clergy.

Life and history are products of the choices and decisions we make. Fate is fantasy.

God gave us intellect and resources. We choose what to do with them.

FDR’s Free Will gave us the Manhattan Project. God didn’t build Trinity, Little Boy, or Fat Man. God didn’t pilot the Enola Gay.

And while my guess is that God would prefer we destroy Islamic evil, the Free Will he gave us must make that happen. God won’t be ordering the nuke strikes, confirming nuclear launch codes, or typing lat/long targeting coordinates into the ICBM MIRVs.

He gave us the intellect and resources to build ourselves an undefeatable advantage over evil.

But He won’t pull the trigger for us. That’s what Free Will is for.

God bless Cardinal Burke. I hope his message begins to spread among Catholics.

I would encourage all Catholic jihadwatchers – but not only the Catholics! – to write personally to him and thank him for his plain speaking. ( I do hope that Mr Spencer has written to Cardinal Burke already, and offered him free complimentary signed copies of “Religion of Peace: Why Christianity Is, and Islam Isn’t” and “Not Peace But a Sword”).

Make a full copy of the original article and share it whenever you get the chance, both electronically or as a print-out.

Throughout the history of the Old Testament, God used the enemies of the Israelites to punish them for turning away and loosing their faith. Europe is blind to its plight because the people have lost their faith. Whereas before, their ancestors mounted the Crusades and the Reconquista to fight against the invaders, today . . . they have fallen asleep spiritually and do not recognize the danger.

The terrible thing is that whereas in the the Nazi era everybody in th free world were against the Nazis (and Japanese) and all they stood for. Today we are infested by quislings and sympathisers of the Islamists, who are doing everything they can to help them.

Maybe that Cardinal didn’t read the bible where it speaks to one of Jesus’s disciples asking Jesus about the other men in the middle east who were doing the same things Jesus was doing. Jesus basically told his disciples to leave those men alone as they were doing the work of God.

IE: Jesus is not the only savior as you put it. All that finery and beautiful robes do not lend themselves to making an idiot sound like a prophet. No matter what walk of life you chose, if you are stupid, there is nothing in this world that will make you sound smart and intelligent.

Religion is losing its place, because it has never addressed humanity’s need for emotional succor, and has replace it with control and guilt. Maybe you idiots need to address why the Pope knows of Extraterrestrials and the majority of Catholics and Christians do not.

You are being led by a sociopath which the Holy See has given Carte-Blanche to do and say whatever is needed to control the largest group of ignorant fools the world has ever seen.

Cardinal Raymond Burke consistently expresses the truth about Islam, warning of its inherent mandates for violence, power and supremacy. Most significantly, he asserts unequivocally the pivotal line in the sand: Christianity and Islam do not worship the same God.

At a previous press conference, Cardinal Burke targeted the deception of the “we worship the same God” mantra.

    http://www.breitbart.com/national-security/2016/09/08/cardinal-raymond-burke-muslims-christians-dont-worship-god/

It is refreshingly apparent that Cardinal Burke responds to the Spirit … not to deceit and political correctness. Indeed, he is a man of God.

“We must not proselytize, imposing Christianity, but if we believe in Jesus it is our duty to bear witness.”

Proselytizing ISN’T imposing Christianity. It is converting or attempting to convert. I can see no reason why Christians SHOULDN’T proselytize. In fact, not wanting to convert others implies that one isn’t a real believer in Christianity.

Seems to me the Church should do everything in its power to bring the Islamic world to Christ. EVERYONE would benefit!

  42. Lucretius says

Why did you leave out the last two paragraphs of the Breitbart article, Robert?

“However, the blame for all this lies squarely on the decline of Western society.

“’All this happens through the corruption of the West. There are not enough families. We supinely accept practices that are contrary to the natural law, such as abortion or so-called ‘marriage’ between persons of the same sex. It is proof that we are not strong enough in faith, and easy prey for conquest.'”

Did you leave these out because you hope to build a tent broad enough to include the decadent freedom-to-spit-in-my-parents’-faces-and-live-and-f**k-whoever-I-want crowd because they should feel threatened by Islam too? Is that why you muted the Cardinal’s remark about natural law? Listen, these decadents undermine EVERY civilization. The modern anti-natural egalitarian movement has freed them from the shadows and shame to which all healthy societies relegate them.
