Despite the profusion of criticism heaped on George W. Bush for invading Afghanistan, including the myopic comment by Barack Obama that “Americans have learned that it’s harder to end wars than it is to begin them,” 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed “credited” Bush:
“‘How was I supposed to know that cowboy George Bush would announce he wanted us ‘dead or alive’ and then invade Afghanistan to hunt us down?’” Mitchell writes. “KSM explained that if the United States had treated 9/11 like a law enforcement matter, he would have had time to launch a second wave of attacks.” He was not able to do so because al-Qaeda was stunned “by the ferocity and swiftness of George W. Bush’s response.”
Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) states much more that reveals what it is to “stare in the face of evil.” Perhaps most frightening is that Mohammed it is not as uniquely evil as Westerners may deem him to be. Take for instance, his words about defeating America, which bears a remarkable resemblance to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Plan for North America:
“We will win because Americans don’t realize . . . we do not need to defeat you militarily; we only need to fight long enough for you to defeat yourself by quitting.”
large-scale attacks such as 9/11 were “nice, but not necessary”
“…jihadi-minded brothers would immigrate into the United States” and “wrap themselves in America’s rights and laws” until they were strong enough to rise up and attack us. “He said the brothers would relentlessly continue their attacks and the American people would eventually become so tired, so frightened, and so weary of war that they would just want it to end.”
KSM also reveals his bloodthirsty hatred; yet more horrifying is that, once again, all this is not unique to him. All too many Muslims display the same attitudes globally, persecuting Christians and other religious minorities, and even Muslims whom they deem not Muslim enough.
But peaceniks and delusionists will parrot the same message: that Khalid Sheik Mohammed is an aberration of Islam. Through political correctness amid charges of “Islamophobia” and racism, we have collectively been conditioned to forget the millions murdered (in recent history) in the name of Islam; and the out-of-control crime that the Muslim refugee stream has brought to Europe; and that Israel is targeted for obliteration by jihadist states; and the Muslim Brotherhood’s call to jihad and its clever marketing strategy throughout the West, utilizing its large networks of henchmen (and women) who have managed to infiltrate Western institutions of power and beat down critics with its invented and much-ballyhooed term “Islamophobia” — thus slowly imposing upon us a kind of Sharia-compliance. The same victimology narrative continues to be deployed to manipulate Westerners and inspire self-hatred within them.
The West is indeed in danger of becoming “so tired, so frightened, and so weary of war that they would just want it to end”, even if it means subjugation and dhimmitude, as we see creeping into Europe. Peculiar indeed that Khalid Sheik Mohammed would be the unlikely source to elevate the image of George W. Bush and validate Bush’s decision to invade Afghanistan. Perhaps this will encourage Westerners to acknowledge the real face of evil: the threat of jihad against America and the West by stealth and violent means.
“A horrifying look into the mind of 9/11’s mastermind, in his own words”, by Marc A. Thiessen, Washington Post, November 28, 2016:
What is it like to stare into the face of evil? James E. Mitchell knows.
In his gripping new memoir, “Enhanced Interrogation: Inside the Minds and Motives of the Islamic Terrorists Trying To Destroy America,” Mitchell describes the day he was questioning Khalid Sheik Mohammed, when the 9/11 mastermind announced he had something important to say. “KSM then launched into a gory and detailed description of how he beheaded Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl,” Mitchell writes. Up to that moment, the CIA did not know KSM had personally carried out the murder. When asked whether it was “hard to do” (meaning emotionally difficult), KSM misunderstood the question. “Oh, no, no problem,” KSM said, “I had very sharp knives. Just like slaughtering sheep.”
To confirm his story, the CIA had KSM reenact the beheading so that it could compare the features of his hands and forearms to those in the video of Pearl’s murder. “Throughout the reenactment, KSM smiled and mugged for the cameras. Sometimes he preened,” Mitchell writes. When informed that the CIA had confirmed that he was telling the truth, KSM smiled.
“See, I told you,” KSM said. “I cut Daniel’s throat with these blessed hands.”
This is the pure evil Mitchell and his colleagues confronted each day at CIA “black sites.” “I have looked into the eyes of the worst people on the planet,” Mitchell writes. “I have sat with them and felt their passion as they described what they see as their holy duty to destroy our way of life.”
The world has heard almost nothing from KSM in the 15 years since the 9/11 attacks, but Mitchell has spent thousands of hours with him and other captured al-Qaeda leaders. Now, for the first time, Mitchell is sharing what he says KSM told him.
Mitchell is an American patriot who has been unjustly persecuted for his role in crafting an interrogation program that helped stop terrorist attacks and saved countless lives. He does not shy from the controversies and pulls no punches in describing the interrogations. If anything, readers may be surprised by the compassion he showed these mass murderers. But the real news in his book is what happened after enhanced interrogations ended and the terrorists began cooperating.
Once their resistance had been broken, enhanced interrogation techniques stopped and KSM and other detainees became what Mitchell calls a “Terrorist Think Tank,” identifying voices in phone calls, deciphering encrypted messages and providing valuable information that led the CIA to other terrorists. Mitchell devotes an entire chapter to the critical role KSM and other detainees played in finding Osama bin Laden. KSM held classes where he lectured CIA officials on jihadist ideology, terrorist recruiting and attack planning. He was so cooperative, Mitchell writes, KSM “told me I should be on the FBI’s Most Wanted List because I am now a ‘known associate’ of KSM and a ‘graduate’ of his training camp.”…
But perhaps the most riveting part of the book is what KSM told Mitchell about what inspired al-Qaeda to attack the United States — and the U.S. response he expected. Today, some on both the left and the right argue that al-Qaeda wanted to draw us into a quagmire in Afghanistan — and now the Islamic State wants to do the same in Iraq and Syria. KSM said this is dead wrong. Far from trying to draw us in, KSM said that al-Qaeda expected the United States to respond to 9/11 as we had the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut — when, KSM told Mitchell, the United States “turned tail and ran.” He also said he thought we would treat 9/11 as a law enforcement matter, just as we had the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and the USS Cole in Yemen — arresting some operatives and firing a few missiles into empty tents, but otherwise leaving him free to plan the next attack.
“Then he looked at me and said, ‘How was I supposed to know that cowboy George Bush would announce he wanted us ‘dead or alive’ and then invade Afghanistan to hunt us down?’” Mitchell writes. “KSM explained that if the United States had treated 9/11 like a law enforcement matter, he would have had time to launch a second wave of attacks.” He was not able to do so because al-Qaeda was stunned “by the ferocity and swiftness of George W. Bush’s response.”
But KSM said something else that was prophetic. In the end, he told Mitchell, “We will win because Americans don’t realize . . . we do not need to defeat you militarily; we only need to fight long enough for you to defeat yourself by quitting.”
KSM explained that large-scale attacks such as 9/11 were “nice, but not necessary” and that a series of “low-tech attacks could bring down America the same way ‘enough disease-infected fleas can fell an elephant.’ ” KSM “said jihadi-minded brothers would immigrate into the United States” and “wrap themselves in America’s rights and laws” until they were strong enough to rise up and attack us. “He said the brothers would relentlessly continue their attacks and the American people would eventually become so tired, so frightened, and so weary of war that they would just want it to end.”

9/11 mastermind credits George W. Bush with preventing more jihad attacks in US
………………………….
I do not doubt this. Despite George Bush’s mistakes, Jihadists were *scared* of him. Despite his launching sporadic drone strikes, the same has *hardly* been true of Barack Obama.
Let us hope, whatever else Donald Trump accomplishes, that he makes Jihadists fear the US once again.

Graven, you are right!! I do believe there is already a nervous pale for the incoming President Trump.. among Muslims. That in it’s self a good thing… BUT only the beginning!!
I still believe if the USA had used a nuke on Afganistan on 9-12-2001 this whole problem would be a mute point… That is why we have nukes!!!
don vito says
what if…..we (US) do get so tired of war that we do indeed just nuke em? KSM is treating the USA the same way as moslems have treated other kufr over the centuries.

In heading of this article that mentions 9/11 and then that photo of that jihadist chief KSM who had a hand in creating the murderous affront against humankind and attacks against America on September 11, 2001. is very much a reminder the day this year on September 9 2016 when man I know who works as a security guard at a public place told me a Muslim actually had the nerve to walk over to him and said to him two Muslim “Jokes” about 9/11. As if it was a funny subject. It’s wrong to even try to “joke” about 9/11. Talk about bad “jokes” those two are the very much worst of all. The first was “What is the difference between September 11, 20001 and a cow?” answer “You don’t keep milking a cow after fifteen years.” Not only is that “joke” awful but those Muslims trying to be funny by say that cruel thing do have some gall because they have no room to talk . For they are still are “milking” the topic of the Crusades and the Crusade have been over for well more than seven hundred years. What gall they have! The second “Muslim “joke” about 9/11 is “On September 11, 2001 the people trapped on the upper floors of the WTC had ordered their pizza sent to them plane.” To say that such “humor” is terrible is an understatement. Furthermore, those Muslim who say those “jokes” are really only exposing their own sick, vicious, callous and heartless Islamic mindset.”

There is no real humor in Islam–just cruel taunting.

If your friend was islamo-savvy enough, all he had to do was slightly make fun of their beloved MuhamMAD, and watch as the muslim’s smiling face from 9/11 jokes turns grim and threatening. With little luck, the mudslime would physically attack your friend — a security guard — giving him full self-defense rights. It would be one future terrorist off the streets.

Douglas Saballos says
KSM is a monster by his own admission, yet he is one among many millions of Muslims who walk our street with the same hatred of us and of our institutions. Perhaps that is our problem and he has read us well. We extend to them all the civil rights enumerated in our Constitution and we will die because of it. We attack them in their countries while we tie the hands of those we send on harm’s way with the contrived ‘Rules of Engagement”. It will take a miracle to save us from our enemies.

Boy, those people who claimed over and over that waterboard… I mean, “enhanced torture techniques”, did nothing must be fuming…
You mean that not going after jihadis with the anger of a vengenful God whenever their raise their ugly little heads does nothing but encouraging them? Encouraging the people whose book says that if they are steadfast their enemies will not be able to defeat them? Well, imagine my surprise…
Something about Sun Tzu and knowing your enemy? This falls in line with the captured documents of jihadis in Iraq, asking bin Laden for reinforcement because the Americans were not the effeminate pushovers lambs they were promised. Anyway, thank God for that military-industrial complex that “fabricated” the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan when there was no need to go there to begin with. Isn’t that how the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are presented nowadays?

We get sick of it, because we don’t go in and deal with it, then go home.
What we should do, is publicly list EVERY Islamist or Islamist group we’ve identified, throw all their names in a hat, and then announce if ANYBODY is harmed by anything even remotely resembling Islamist we’re going to send assassination teams to hunt down all we believe involved.
And if we don’t know who was, we’ll just pull a few names out of the hat because we KNOW these guys have done stuff.
That way every crazy knows his head is on the block for anybody esle’s actions, and either way, we’ll be eliminating the problem.
If these so called moderate muslims would be turning in their own, like those guys who came from that Mosque Dana Loesch referred to the other day, then I’d believe most Muslims were moderates who hate Islamists.
But they haven’t, so the only moderates I’ll believe are the ones who are personally dragging their friends, family and/or acquaintances into the cops.
And if they’re worried about their identities, I have no problem with them wearing masks while they do the job. They can just call the cops, that they’re going to be dropping of a sack of crap they just beat the snot out of because he was up to something, and we stopped him, then secretly reveal their identities to some trusted officials, (That way the police can deal with false accusation.)
Islam the religion of killers says
Agree ,,,,, it’s the moderates who are the lubricant to the Jihadi’s, driven out of fear or the sick reality of Islam, the Jihadi’s couldn’t operate if it wasn’t for the moderate’s …
If the moderates want to live in western society, they need to be under pressure, any association with Jihadi’s,,, bulldoze the mosk, jail the Imam, “persuade” the moderates to keep the jihadi’s under control..
Financial trails to Jihadi’s should be asset stripped (just like tax fraud or drug dealing)
We have to provide a climate for change, for recognising western culture and for respect ..

Great article, thanks. I just want to add to Mitchell’s point “I have looked into the eyes of the worst people on the planet” – unfortunately it is vital we remember non-Muslim collaborators are even worse.
I’ve watched videos of Pakistani Muslims stoning girls to death, Islamic State’s crimes against humanity, and I’ve watched Muslims who are “moderate rebels” against Assad casually slit the throat of a boy who looks about 10 yrs old and bleed him out (see https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/aleppo-rebels-behead-a-child/ ). These Muslim “moderates” lazily enjoy their crime as if they’re cutting sandwiches on a Sunday picnic. There will be no nightmares for them, no PTSD, and they won’t write books about the horrors of war.
All these Muslims, and the millions of Muslims who give tacit approval – may well be evil scum to the core, but the undeniable fact is they are all copying Muhammad. As degenerate as they are by nature, teasing out the entire truth of their nature – e.g. if they had never known Islam – can be difficult.
Non-Muslim collaborators have no such excuse. They haven’t been indoctrinated into a death-cult. Instead they’ve been raised in the West where verbal bullying is among the most pressing issues which cause public outrage. Yet they see Muslims’ range of torturous executions, mass-rapes and slavery, and the only response that occurs to them is how to run a cover-up, and how to import more Muslims into the West.
Their aiding and abetting of Muslims’ crimes against humanity since 9/11 is simply a genuine expression of their personal nature to the core – the most profoundly degenerate nature ever, and one that must be addressed before this war is over.

They ain’t stupid. They know more about Americans than we know about them. They will use “human shields” because they know how WE will react. Each and every “combative occurrence” emphasizes “women and children” casualties when they report to us. Rarely is the death of women and children included in jihadi victims’ death tolls, However. at the same time they arm and weaponize women and children calling them martyrs.

The right answer to 9/11 would have been to atomic bomb (0,07 kiloTon) the mecca:
Stupid muslims want to pray the mecca? No more mecca! no more AntiChrist tomb! no more satanic black stone! nothing more left! mecca would be radioactive for ever!
But this could instantly be done with a GPS missile the very next time the muslims make like 9/11!

This ought to be plastered all over the West, but it won’t be. Unfortunately, the Left, the mainstream media, the educational institutions, the present Presidency and the Muslims have too much in common – a bitter hatred of the dead white males, and their descendants, who created the greatest civilization on earth, which makes them feel inferior. They’ll never ever forgive us!

George W. Bush has been vilified by many not solely those left if the political spectrum. Bush, however, reacted swiftly to the heinous and tragic terrorist attack of 9/11. Undoubtedly, this did prevent many other attacks on American soil.
One can only muse if such an attack had occurred during Obama’s tenures as president, what would this appeaser have done? More than likely, Obama would have laid the blame at the feet of America, if not openly, privately. A love fest with those bent on our ruination would suffice… after all, he, Obama, does not suffer from an allegiance disorder. His alliance has always been with those possessed by a deep-seated loathing of America, Islam, and the radical left; more so the former.
George W. is not above censure; however, he, unlike his successor, was steadfast in his patriotism of this nation.
Our nation is rife with those whom choose to be apologists, appeasers or acquiesce with Radical-Islam, or those of the left whom deem America the Great Satan. Our educators, the leftist-mass-media disseminate this to minds that are readily hot-wired by these propagandists, especially the pliable minds of students and that of malcontents. The latter being people whose lives are running on empty. Moreover, becoming a revolutionary, in their twisted irrationality, will give their meaningless lives some meaning.
