Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Abbas orders Palestinian flags to be set at half-staff to honor Castro

Nov 27, 2016 2:50 pm By Robert Spencer

“He always supported the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian people in their struggle to establish an independent Palestinian state, and he welcomed president Arafat to Cuba in the early 1970s.”

Castro thus epitomized the Leftist/jihadist alliance, manifested in the hard-Left’s support for the “Palestinian” jihad against Israel.

“Castro Dead, Left Inconsolable,” by Robert Spencer

“Palestinians recall fond memories of late Cuban leader Castro,” by Adam Rasgon, Jerusalem Post, November 27, 2016:

Palestinian leaders on Saturday and Sunday reacted to the death of former Cuban president Fidel Castro, remembering him as a strong supporter of their people and cause.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas hailed the former Cuban president on Saturday in a letter to his younger brother and successor, Raul Castro.

“On behalf of the Palestinian people, the State of Palestine, and myself, we offer you and the friendly Cuban people our deepest condolences on the passing of Fidel Castro, a man who spent his life sternly defending his country’s and people’s causes in addition to just and righteous causes around the world,” the PA president wrote.

Abbas ordered Palestinian flags to be set a [sic] half-staff on Sunday, according to Wafa, the official PA news site.

A Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, who spoke to The Jerusalem Post on the condition of anonymity, said that Palestinians have fond memories of Castro. “He was a symbol of the national struggle. His relationship to the Palestinian cause and Mr. Yasser Arafat was very strong,” the Hamas leader stated. “He was a brother in the resistance and stood in the face of colonialists, similar to Nelson Mandela.”

PLO Executive Committee member Wasel Abu Yousif told the Post Castro’s death is a great loss. “He always supported the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian people in their struggle to establish an independent Palestinian state, and he welcomed president Arafat to Cuba in the early 1970s,” the top PLO official remarked. “We thank Castro, who represented the revolutionary spirit, for everything that he did in terms of his political and moral support for Palestine.”…

To Canada’s shame, our Ptime Minister Justi Trudeau touring Africa (he spends far time in other parts of the world than remaining at home to look after domestic business, spoke with huge praise for Castro today and his years as a leader he Trudeau praised the monster.. He actually said that Canadians were in awe of Castro which is totally wrong. However, Justin’s father was a real fan of Castros and when he died, the dictator came to Montreal to be a pall bearer at his funeral. Justin’s comments have brought much disgust to many Canadians. Several federal members of parliament have remarked with disgust with Trudeau considering Castro was a thug and his harsh treatment of those who disagreed with him.

He does not speak for me. He should be removed from power at that disgusting remark. Canadians are getting further disallusioned with this and his cow-towing to Muslims. Trudeau is a disgrace to our democracy.

As an American I wish Canada well, but Justin Trudeau is even more a fool and an apologist for evil than Barack Obama, and Obama is fool and apologist enough where exculpation of true malevolence lies. It’s almost as though Trudeau is trying to outdo Obama in tragic and harmful silliness.

I think he’s succeeding. My God, what a travesty that that man ever became PM of Canada. His father was bad enough but he’s seemingly outdoing his father——-ah, maybe this is the real reason for his stupidities, i.e., surpassing daddy.

I’ve been disgusted with justin trudeau ever since he entered politics, everything he has done. But this takes at least part of the cake. It is one thing to open relations with Cuba (as obama did) but it is another to praise its dictator!!!

The globe and mail (a constant propaganda site) tried to spin this into another moment of Canada exulting in little actions to snub its big neighbour. Well, as the saying goes, not my canada.

The passing of an iron-fisted dictator is always so sad. I can see President Obama dabbing his tears at the passing of a man he admires so much. Sniffle.

Here’s Obama’s morally neutral reaction to the passing of this brutal dictator:

President Obama, who offered condolences to the Castro family and extended “a hand of friendship” to the Cuban people.

Acknowledging that Castro’s death would be greeted by “powerful emotions” by Cubans in the country and in the U.S., the president left it to history to “record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.”

In contrast, here is what Donald Trump had to say:

“Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights,” Mr. Trump said in the statement. “While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.”

      http://www.cbsnews.com/news/fidel-castro-death-obama-donald-trump-react-cuba-leader-passing/

Vice-President elect Mike Pence called Castro a tyrant.

I still have a few reservations about Trump, despite my voting for him–but with good, strong, statements like this, I feel better and better about my choice all the time.

The darling of the “Green Parties” in Europe as well. I understand where the perceptions comes from but Castro is a communist, marxist and I’m a bit old-fashioned in that I associate it with Sovjet style communism. There is no love for religions among communists. Mao massacred monks, Stalin interned, tortured priests, today’s China still “persecutes” muslim minorities. If you are in the same age group as me you will recall the romantized perception of being a “revolutionary” and communists tried to export “the revolution” globally. In latin america, in Africa (Angola). “Palestinians” where seen as “brothers” in a global revolution, fight for the “oppressed” etc etc. . It was NEVER about supporting the religious concept of “Jihad” and I challenge anybody here bringing me quotes from 60s or 70s leader speaking in positive termos of “Jihad”. I do however recall Republicans salivating over “mujaheedings” in Afganistan fighting against the godless (infidel) “Empire of Evil”.

Citation needed. Anyway, all the same for the jihadis – the Iranian Revolution was supposed to be a Communist Revolution, with the jihadis being nothing but “fellow travellers”. Turns out, they had a mind of their own.

“I do however recall Republicans salivating over “mujaheedings” in Afganistan fighting against the godless (infidel) “Empire of Evil”.”

Is that supposed to imply that Republicans, after decades of the “Gree-Red” alliance, were allegedly supporting the religious concept of jihad?

As for that above picture .it not only figures but it also fits. For both Castro and Arafat do, indeed make a good match. They, very much, deserve each other. They make a fitting twosome After all, they with their history that is both violent and murderous. Even if they don’t actually murder people personally they have had their stooges and goons do it for them .So those two characters are just are guilty and those who carried out the brutal murders. Therefore to reiterate they did make a good match.

They probably were both violent and “murderous”. What’s interesting is to compare Cuba and “Palestine”. What Cuba managed to build despite the US embargo compared the “Palestine”. I’m thinking education, medical cuban envoys to third world countires. I’d prefer a Cuba under Castro anytime over a middle-eastern “democracy” with the exception of Israel.

Of course he did. The old watermelon was a hardcore commie and the Fakestinians and their grievances were a creation of the KGB to antagonize US-aligned Israel. And we all know how much he hated the US – if it were up to him, we would have had a nuclear World War III in 1962.

  9. Jack Diamond says

Arafat and the PLO were all commies at one time. Arafat went to terrorist school in the Soviet Union and the KGB and Moscow had a crucial role in developing PLO terrorism after their client states were humiliated in 1967. According to Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest ranking defector from the Soviet bloc, “Gen. Sakharovsky (head of Soviet foreign intelligence) asked us in Romanian intelligence to help the KGB bringing Arafat and some of his fedayeen fighters secretly to the Soviet Union via Romania, in order for them to be indoctrinated and trained.”

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was a Soviet spy in Damascus in the 1980s. The Mitrokhin archive, kept by KGB defector Vasily Mitrokhin, revealed that Abbas was a Soviet mole in Damascus in 1983. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Abbas studied at the People’s Friendship University of Russia. The KGB also recruited the then head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Wadi Haddad, as an agent in the 1970s.

Of course Castro and the PLO and “Palestinians” go way back. Just as honoring murderers and enemies of freedom comes natural.

All true, Jack. I think Jihadists considered making common cause with Communists a shrewd alliance.

The Ayatollah allied with the Iranian Communist Tudeh Party during the Iranian revolution. Of course, once the Mullahs secured their power they turned on the Communists and savagely liquidated the lot of them.

A lot of Iranian Communists went to their deaths screaming that they had always supported the revolution–they could not understand why their former “allies” turned on them.

BTW, it’s in how Fidel actually died.

He tried to regain power from his brother Raul, failed, and was forced to flee. While on a raft in the Florida Straits, he fell overboard. He was in the water for only a minute or so when a huge cloud of dead fish and crabs rose to the surface and suffocated him. The US Coast Guard has also issued a warning to all boats entering the area about the toxicity.

“…Fidel Castro, a man who spent his life sternly defending his country’s and people’s causes in addition to just and righteous causes around the world,” the PA president wrote…”

A reckless authoritarian dictator, who along with Guevara, were happy to play off the two superpowers of the cold war to further their own internationalist Marxist crusade, while watching Cuba’s GDP drop towards the bottom of comparative western hemisphere nations. There were many Cubans of Fidel’s generation with superior vision but all were exiled, imprisoned or otherwise sidelined enabling this despot to hold the floor and dupe an international audience with his rousing oratory and Mussolini style showmanship. The politics of the New Left which emerged during the 1960’s idolised the likes of Castro, Guevara, Qaddafi, Arafat, Mao, Ho Chi Min, Pol Pot and others and created a lasting fascination and acceptance of the ‘power of the gun’ and violent struggle as a lofty means to an end. Unfortunately this deification of violence, which seems to capture the imagination of large numbers of young people, has found its way into support for violent internationalist jihadist struggles around the globe today.

Yesterday I had keyboarded about the above photo of Castro and Arafat standing together and remarked that “They do make and good match ,they deserve each other.” For they had much in common. Both being violent and murderous. That even in they didn’t commit the acts of violence and murder themselves they had their stooges/thugs to it do them . The they are just as guilty as their goons who carried out the murders. Moreover, new information the all that now should now be added since both Castro and Arafat are dead, is that those now have other thing in common. Which is that according to the Bible, they are both suffering extreme torture in Hell, Luke 16:19-31. Galatians 5:21.
