Islamophobia is a trumped-up term designed to further an agenda, as indicated by Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, a former member of the International Institute for Islamic Thought, who was there at the inception of the term:
This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliche conceived in the bowels of Muslim think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics.
The Canadian Parliament has now passed an “anti-Islamophobia” motion, “amid increasing attacks on mosques and Muslim communities in the country and throughout the world.” This is beyond bizarre, considering the truth about attacks throughout the world. Such attacks are most commonly on Christians by Muslims; against Muslims by Muslims, against apostates and infidels by Muslims. Add to that the jihad attacks in Europe and the rampant sex assaults and crimes by Muslims upon innocents. As for attacks against Muslims on Western soil, they remain very low. A much greater problem tabulated in hate crime statistics is against blacks and Jews.
Canada is slipping down a dangerous slope. The government and Islamic supremacists have now partnered to attempt to silence anyone who criticizes Islam. The Canadian anti-Islamophobia motion resembles a kind of blasphemy law in favor of one preferred religion above all others in Canada; one may be persecuted for expressing any criticism of Islam even when warranted. Yet despite its ominous implications, the anti-Islamophobia motion received little media attention. Interestingly, that includes the leftist media; and the Huffington Post article expressed its disapproval:
Canadians can’t be blamed for missing the anti-Islamophobia motion that passed in parliament last week. If you Google it, you won’t get a single hit in mainstream media: not in CBC, not in Postmedia, not in the Globe and Mail, nowhere.
In fact, when this piece is published, it may be the first media piece talking about Canada’s successful anti-Islamophobia motion.
The Huffington Post report by Thomas Woodley, President of Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME), also made obscene and insulting comparisons about the silence of the media on the subject:
Imagine if Canadian media hadn’t bothered to cover parliament’s 2004 recognition of the Armenian genocide in 2004. How might Armenian-Canadians have felt?
Or imagine if Canadian media hadn’t bothered to report on Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s 2008 apology to Canada’s indigenous peoples for the horrors of this country’s residential schools. Most would see it as yet another insult to Canada’s beleaguered indigenous communities.
Yet Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East is also known to be hostile toward Israel and light on its jihadist enemies. As reported by CiJ News:
An organization which, whether intentionally or unintentionally, omits key facts about Hamas, including information which is readily available on Hamas’ own English-language website cannot claim to have any credibility whatsoever and should certainly never be relied on by anyone except agenda-driven hardened anti-Israel activists.
Conservative government members of Parliament did not support the motion, and the Liberal MP from Mississauga Centre, Omar Alghabra, referred to the Conservative attitude as “troubling.” Back in 2002, Alghabra stated that he did not believe that Hamas (Muslim Brotherhood proxy group) or Islamic Jihad were terrorist groups. Alghabra has also “openly stated that he favors Sharia Law for Ontario and that he was disappointed when he did not happen in Ontario after the 2003/2006 debate in Ontario.”
This bogus victimology narrative, fanned and flamed by stealth jihadists and their enablers, is fully recognized by Abur-Rahman Muhammad, who also stated:
This sense of victimization has now reached a point – especially given the consistent rhetoric of groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations – that many rank-and-file Muslims now genuinely believe that they are a persecuted and oppressed group.
“Canadian parliament passes anti-Islamophobia motion”, by Nurbanu Kizil, Daily Sabah, November 3, 2016:
The Canadian Parliament has passed an anti-Islamophobia motion on October 26, amid increasing attacks on mosques and Muslim communities in the country and throughout the world. The motion has received almost no attention from Canadian media outlets, to the dismay of the Muslim community living in the country.
According to reports, it took a while for the parliament to adopt the motion, which was brought up after 70,000 Canadian citizens signed an online petition condemning Islamophobia. The petition was launched on June 8, 2016 and was closed for signature on October 6, 2016.
“We, the undersigned, Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia” the petition read.
However, when the motion was brought to the parliament, Conservative Members of the Parliament prevented unanimous consent….
Liberal MP from Mississauga Centre Omar Algabra called Conservative attitude ‘troubling,’ saying that the motion was a non-partisan, positive and symbolic one.

Pierce says
It is not a phobia if the theoretical basis on which this religion is based as described in their Quran gives nothing but exact instructions of the necessity to kill unbelievers and the followers of this vile religion for 1400 years did just that, making them the biggest mass-murderers of all of history.
Sog says
No. Of course it’s a phobia. The tolerance for unbelievers is the phobia in the case you cite. The intolerance for unbelievers results directly from islamophobia.
The mistake is fighting the conceptual core of Islamophobia. We need to embrace and extend the definition (which is currently vague, amorphous, and limbic), with a definition that includes real destruction and the harmful aspects. We can cite specific examples of the new definition of Islamophobia. Lets pin down a more specific and useful definition of Islamophobia rather than simply rail against it.
I added some elements below. Lets pin down more specific examples of the harmful aspects of Islamophobia.
Chris says
Why not include all religions in this protection? Why favor any specific group?
Sog says
I know of no other religion so afraid of equality with other religions and so afraid of apostasy that they rule specifically against such allowance. I only see Islamophobic similar action in human relations with Islam, not so much with other religions. Do you have some examples of Islamophobia like reactions with respect to other religions?
Cretius says
Pandering for the Muslim vote. In 50 years of voting I have never seen a Prime Minister with fewer qualifications for the job than Justin Trudeau! Pierre got elected on a similar wave but at least he had brains.
Len Vaness says
Define Islamophobia, please…I cannot tell if you think that it referes to people who fear Islam or Muslims who fear persecution
Cretius says

This loathsome term is nothing more than a thought-terminating cliché conceived in the bowels of Mohammedan think tanks for the purpose of beating down critics. It is sad and a real danger that western leaders and the mainstream media have bought into this canard.
Wrong on all counts.
A phobia is an abnormal or morbid fear or aversion. [Concise Oxford Dictionary]There is nothing abnormal about recognising Islam and all the barbarism it brings. Therefore, there is no such thing as Islamophobia.
Secondly, being against a system like Islam is not racism. Racism is the belief that one race is inherently better than another simply on the theory that human abilities etc. are determined by race. [COD] By definition, Islam is not a race.
Lastly, Islam is a supremacist totalitarian political system that includes a religion defined by holy war, bigotry, intolerance, sexism and barbaric cultural practises. Mohammedans are their own worst enemies. They even kill each other! No one has to lie about Islam. Simply bear witness to the intolerance, bigotry and hatred spread by imams online. Mohammedans demand respect and rights that they deny to everyone else. This makes them unfit immigrants/refugees to modern western democracies.

Islamophobia: the supposedly irrational fear of a totalitarian ideology, not unlike Nazism, that advocates killing or subjugating anyone who will not swear allegiance to said ideology.

I agree, it does appear to be the case, especially with the election of Justin Trudeau, a Globalist Elite who is simply another “useful idiot.”
Ditto for the U.S.A. especially if the Dems win the election.
Canada and the U.S.A. are not too far behind Europe and their Secular Humanism. The natural result is tyranny and enslavement to the “power elite.”

I voted against him- I sure agree with you – and he’s in the news with soros – makes me want to get into politics
Greg says
It was a protest vote against the Conservative establishment that went too far trying to police and regulate Muslims, among other things. But there’s no good reason to go full throttle in the other direction by offer special recognition or protection for religion, and certainly not for one that is entirely antithetical to democratic secular pluralism. Petition e 411 is the beginning of political jihad in Canada. Write your MP, Frank.Baylis@parl.gc.ca and thomas.mulcair@parl.gc.ca to voice your opposition to Parliament offering Islam or Muslims any special recognition or protections and to repeal S 296 of the Criminal Code, Canada’s ‘blasphemy law’ http://centreforinquiry.ca/canadas-blasphemy-law/

What saddens me…angers me….devastates me – we, in the West have been warned on a plethora of websites, directly, by Hindus and Sikhs in India about Muslims…no one learned a thing….we also saw Sweden – the very most affected, country in EU/Europe…no one learned a thing….now France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and my own country – the UK. North Americans – or, precisely, the Globalists, Liberals, third wave feminists, cultural Marxists – need to learn. Sadly, Trudeau proves they won’t, in Canada.
gravenimage says
Some *are* learning–that is true of most people here at Jihad Watch. But I agree–sometimes it is all too slow.
Sog says
We’re going about this all wrong.
Instead of fighting ‘islamophobia’ we should instead broaden the definition to include all unreasonable fear surrounding Islam to include the unreasonable fears spawned from islam itself. We can therefore use islamophobia to avoid the cutting off of discussion, but to instead use islamophobia to stimulate and enhance discussion.
As soon as the topic of Islamophobia is brought up, instead of countering it with “anti-islamophobia” we should instead point out aspects of Islamophobia that spawn from Islam itself. There are many aspects of Islamophobia and discussion thereof that can perhaps soften discussion to include a broader and more gentle audience participation.
We should simply change the discussion of Islamophobia include many phobias spawned from Islam itself. A short list of aspects thus far left out of discussions of islamophobia include:
The fear of apostasy
The fear of Female actualization
The fear of feminine beauty
The fear of other cultures.
The fear of other people: Xenophobia.
especially Judaism.
Please tell me more aspects of Islamophobia that are avoided by the promoters of Islam, but which are avoided. I want a broader list.
I think therefore as soon as the word “Islamophobia” is brought up in any discussion, the discussion should not be countered with direct “anti-Islamophobia”, but instead shifted to include *all* aspects of Islamophobia, including those that aren’t designed solely for the promotion of Islam. We can shift “islamophobia” immediately into a discussion of the fear of apostasy, for example.
Sog says
Add to the list of Islamophobia elements:
The fear of people who don’t pay the Islamic tax (Jizya)
The fear of homosexual behavior
Come on people…. Lets pin down Islamophobia in *all* its aspects!
linnte says
I like your idea! Am gonna have to think about it for a while to figure out how I’d use it in communicating with Muslims.
Also something that has rattled my reality recently is a video Anni Cyrus did about using Islamic words. She basically said that when we use Arabic terms like Jizya, or Jihad, we are unknowingly submitting to Shari’a. (My paraphrase). She said every Arabic word has an English word to match, which is true. So instead of using the term “civilizational Jihad” use civilizational war. By using English terms we force Muslims to think like us, instead of the opposite.
PJG says
I absolutely agree.
I especially don’t like it when non-Muslims talk about the practice of “taqiyya”. Why not simply say “deceit”? Talking about “taqiyya” invites mockery from Muslims who will say it is a Shia thing, only to be used in blah-blah-blah situations, etc etc, but they can’t do that if we use our own words and don’t try to show off.
And yes, it draws us closer to submitting to Sharia as outsiders.
gravenimage says
There are many terms for lying to the “filthy Infidels” in Sunni Islam, as well–Maruna, Kitman, Tawriya, Mudar’at, and others.
linnte says
I just learned this yesterday Graven. Someone had told me about the one that starts with M, (have forgotten it already- bad brain). I found it on a web site. I’m learning painfully slow, but learning after all. Thanks!
Greg says
Disagree! We need to confront Muslims with what they claim to believe or not. Being that many Muslims are seemingly otherwise right-minded people, we need to disabuse them of their self-invented notions of Allah and Islam that have little or nothing to do with the Islam of the Qur’an. We should be asking, Do you hold sharia (Allah’s law) as higher than man’s (secular) laws? If not, why not? Do you agree with jihad in the cause of Islam? If not, why not? Is any form of jihad in the cause of Islam acceptable to you? If so, please explain. Confront Muslims with what the Islam of the Qur’an clearly expects of them and intends for the world and assess the integrity and sincerity of their responses. We can’t, and shouldn’t try to, police what people believe but we can and must assess a person’s intentions concerning the rest of us when they claim allegiance to Islam by identifying as Muslim.
gravenimage says
With all respect Linnte–to both you and Anni Cyrus, whom I very much admire–I think it is important to use Islamic terms here, because this is not just about garden-variety lying, or oppression , rape, or murder–but these are done by Muslims in the name of Islam.
In the same way, it was important to talk about such Fascist concepts as the Master Race, and the Thousand Year Reich, because it would have been much more difficult to understand what we up against with the Nazis otherwise.
linnte says
After much thought, I have come to the same conclusion Graven. For just your reasons and because, when conversing with Muslims on YouTube or Facebook, I want them to know that I KNOW what I am talking about. It is still hard for me to remember some things, but I find the more I see the words of the Arabic, the more I understand Islam better too. For instance, remember the gorilla that had to be shot because the little boy fell into his own? His name was Harambe. Meaning dirty as in Haram for unclean boy.
I thank you for speaking up and giving me your thoughts. What you say holds a lot of weight with me. I respect and adore you much!

there is a clause in the freedom of speech that states that it can be modified if reasonable and justified…in this case I really don’t think it is either…..someone vandalized a mosque…..so what? Churches, cemeteries, statues etc for decades and no one has felt threatened and cried out racism. If the Muslims feel persecuted, it’s their fault for causing trouble…..rape and murder is unacceptable in our country and if u feel u have the right to rape and kill those who have allowed u to enter our country as refugees so that u can get rid of us….then expect persecution.
There r many Muslims in my community who r decent law abiding, friendly part of our community who have done nothing wrong as far as I know…..But to those who have come here and expect special treatment and feel they are above the law…..move to Ottawa and stay with Trudeau or move to a Muslim country…..We Canadians will not bow down to anyone and we will not let Canada turn into France, Sweden, Germany or any other country who’s citizens have felt the necessity to move out of their own country…..u want to live in Canada, then do like the rest of us and abide by OUR laws and conform to our culture…..Canada has always been a country with free religion but that goes for all religions and if there is no room for religion in public schools then that applies to every religion. If you don’t want hate spread against u then stop spreading it against us!!!

that is a logical assumption but unfair to all Canadians….apparently u met the wrong ones. yes there r some that don’t like Americans just as there r many Americans that don’t like Canadians. The anti-Islamophobia motion is generated by islamophobia.
Sog says
What aspect of Islam was feared by the promoters of the anti-islamophobia motion in your opinion?
Mubarak says
Intimidation, violence and terror are well known, effective modi operandi in Islam. The anti-Islamophobia motion is probably a preemptive concession to these facts.
Sog says
Yes. The only thing I can add is that it’s also islamophobia itself that feeds the intimidation, violence and terror. People who engage such behavior are themselves acting out of their own Phobias. We need to extend the definition of islamophobia itself to provide a handle for understanding it.
Mubarak says
Undoubtedly, Sog. That is the theory of psychological projection.
Mubarak says
PS:
The motion is in fact a wonderful, ironic indictment of Islam since no other religion is in need of such a treatment – Christianity a case in point.

Lots more ugliness from him on that thread.
He has also claimed we deserve to be raped by his coreligionists because another protest of Muslim rape was performed by men in miniskirts.
Despite his frequent claims, Christianity does not actually demand that we welcome being raped, or act to ensure more Muslim rape.
Chris says
Mubarak,
Although I agree that we should fear God above man, Matt 10:28 is a misapplication. This verse, and what precedes it, is exhorting believers to not allow your fear of man act as an impediment to preaching to gospel. In other words, don’t stop preaching the gospel for fear of being beaten/flogged etc.
I’m sure there are others on this forum who aren’t believers, but are truly concerned about the threat of Islam, especially if they live anywhere near the Islamic State. Quoting Matt 10:28 to these people isn’t going to make any sense to them. It would be a horrible thing to have your daughter captured by the Islamic State, and to be tossed around like a piece of meat. I couldn’t imagine much worse. Saying “fear not, as they can only destroy the body..” would not be the right thing to say to such people.
“Islamaphobia” is a pejorative, invented by left-wing ideologues, who, in their quest for an egalitarian utopia (where christianity has been removed from all parts of society), are embracing a baby covered in thorns. They are spitting on the very faith that protects their right to speak freely, and are refusing to believe that there is something much bigger going on.
Fearing Islam is perfectly rational. People who don’t, are sticking their heads in the sand, and clearly don’t understand the religion. As another poster on this forum has mentioned, the fact that an “anti-islamaphobia” motion has been passed is certainly an indictment of the religion, and symptomatic of a much deeper problem . People know it’s the one religion you can’t speak out against. It’s fine to have fear, as long as you’re not overcome by a spirit of fear.
UNCLE VLADDI says
That sounds downright islamic.
vladkoval says

I see similar things happening in the US. The purveyors of gender and racial divisions have been so inflammatory and in-your-face with bogus claims that women and blacks can genuinely believe they are a persecuted and oppressed group. It’s the usual MO of the left: find a group to champion, take a general problem, focus on the victims of said group and cry “sexism”, “racism” or “islamophobia”. You now have political and moral capital because you’re supposedly standing up for the little guy – you’re standing up for an allegedly marginalized group, and what kind of heartless monster would NOT defend a marginalized group? From there on, you can pass measures that discriminate on grounds of gender, race or religion and get away with it because you’re not being a bigot and pushing a selected class into a position of supremacy, you’re just “striving for equality by offering opportunities for the downtrodden at the expense of the fat cats, who are obviously mad that they are losing the undeserved power they held for so long and used to exploit and oppress minorities”.

How stupid, how “bleeding heart” but wrong defending of “mere criticism in words”, of “hurt feelings of Muslims” and not hurt of bodies of Muslims!!!
If we only look global, then shove MEMRITV in the face of the Canadian Parliament; we can ask; Why the double standard? Why in this day and age you only select criticism of Islam and hurting feelings of Muslims as unacceptable and not Islamic abuse in word and deed done in the Islamic world. Towards Christians, Atheists, Hindus etcetera??
Reciprocity or total acceptance of negative speech!!! Canada is NOT isolated from the Islamic world. If we can’t do so-called Islamophobia, why are the Muslims allowed their own hatespeech (see MEMRITV)???

You can bet money that the Liberals in the parliament are patting themselves on the back and virtue signalling, “Look at what we passed in parliament. See how tolerant we are?” This will tell you what a bunch of buffoons are currently running the country. They appease the Muslims and ignore the real gigantic threat of Islam.
The Canadian people aren’t much better. They are the ones who’ve voted the buffoons into power as though they’re completely unaware of the events in Europe.
The Liberals care about two things: money and votes. That’s it. That’s all. The Canadian people, be damned.
Sometimes you get the government you deserve.

Bonnie Prince Charlie says
Islam is the only religion I know of where its followers object to the words of its founder and leader – all contained in the Quran – being broadcast to the public at large. Why? Surely they want others to embrace Islam and what better way of going about this than by preaching the word of the Prophet Mohamed to all and sundry?
And what is Islamophobia? According to the Oxford English Dictionary, Webster’s and other reputable dictionaries, a ‘phobia’ is an irrational fear. It has nothing to do with hatred. I am not Islamophobic because my fear of Islam is not irrational: it is based on the words and actions of many of its followers throughout the world and the reluctance of fellow Muslims to condemn these word and actions publicly.
We keep getting told that these acts of barbarism do not represent true Islam – although the Quran seems to indicate otherwise – and are the actions of only a small minority of its followers; in which case where are the voices of the vast majority objecting to those who are hijacking their religion?
davej says
Making “Islamophobia” illegal is an endorsement of the Sharia law concerning blasphemy and is the end of free speech. It also endorses the idea that Islam is special and deserves preferential treatment over any other religion, again reinforcing the Muslim view that they are the best of people and all non-Muslims are filth.
The next step is to frame jihad attacks as defensive or in retaliation for Islamophobia and therefore good and blameless. The bumpy road down to complete dhimmihood. Personally I’ve got Idiotophobia for all our deluded politicians.
mortimer says
Preciously! These arrogant fools have virtually made Islam the official religion.
Cretius says
“Islamophobia” is really “an industry” invented by Islamists to attack the West:
“The whole premise is based on a lie.” The term comes from Islamists. It is bad enough that our half-witted politicians have been taken in but then the block Islamic vote is seductive.
Any belief system that openly promotes deception and lies to protect or further it’s goals is despicable to non-believers. Unfortunately, Western leaders and politicians are abysmally ignorant about the teachings of Islam and it’s bloody and aggressive 1,400 year history of conquest of non-Mohammedan peoples. Islam makes no compromise or accommodation to non-believers. Democracies are fools to not follow the same policy.
Cretius says
A phobia is an abnormal or morbid fear or aversion.[Concise Oxford Dictionary] There is nothing abnormal about recognising Islam and all the barbarism it brings. Therefore, there is no such thing as Islamophobia.
Secondly, being against a system like Islam is not racism. Racism is the belief that one race is inherently better than another simply on the theory that human abilities etc. are determined by race.[COD] By definition, Islam is not a race.
Lastly, Islam is a supremacist totalitarian political system that includes a religion defined by holy war, bigotry[COD], intolerance, sexism and barbaric cultural practises. Muslims are their own worst enemies. They even kill each other! No one has to lie about Islam. Simply bear witness to the intolerance, bigotry and hatred spread by imams online. Muslims demand respect and rights that they deny to everyone else. This makes them unfit immigrants/refugees to modern western democracies.
Allowing such a poisonous political system/religion in is tantamount to committing national suicide.

BLC says
On a positive note, you don’t really have to criticize Islam. All you have to do is quote the Koran and assorted other Muslim literature. That would be enough to let anyone know that the majority of Islamic teachings on the subject of women, for one example, are illegal in courts of law in the West.
All you need to do is report the news of what’s happening with the Islamic State in Syria and parts of Europe.
People will get the idea.
Bonnie Prince Charlie says
But I suspect that any non-believer quoting the Koran will be regarded as Islamophobic because we’ll be accused of doing it to criticize Islam. Similarly the use of the word ‘Islamic’ when talking about SIS.
BLC says
I’m thinking if Mohammed said it, they’ll have to accept it because whatever he said or did is law and they’re all supposed to follow it unquestioningly.

According to the record in Hansard, the official record of proceedings in the House of Parliament, immediately after the motion brought by the Hon. Candice Bergen (Portage—Lisgar, CPC) brought forth the following motion…
Mr. Speaker, in light of the motion that was just adopted by the House, and given that tomorrow is International Religious Freedom Day, I would like to seek the unanimous consent of the House for the following motion. I move:
That, this House condemns all forms of persecution against all religious groups including Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Muslims.
The Speaker:
Does the hon. member have the unanimous consent of the House to move the motion?
Some hon. members: Agreed.
The Speaker: The House has heard the terms of the motion. Is it the pleasure of the House to adopt the motion?
Some hon. members: Agreed.

billybob says
While I certainly appreciated Christine’s discussion, she was wrong to state…
“The Canadian anti-Islamophobia motion resembles a kind of blasphemy law in favor of one preferred
religion above all others in Canada; one may be persecuted for expressing any criticism of Islam even when warranted. “
In no way does the motion resemble any kind of law, especially, it does not resemble a kind of blasphemy law, because it is not a law and has no legal effect whatsoever. It is merely a feel-good motion for MPs to gain votes from their Muslim constituents.
As I pointed out in my comment above, this motion was immediately followed by another that “condemns all forms of persecution against all religious groups including Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs and Muslims”.
Furthermore, the article quoted above from the Daily Sabah states “However, when the motion was brought to the parliament, Conservative Members of the Parliament prevented unanimous consent….”
According to the official record in Hansard, the motion was supported unanimously…
The Speaker:
Does the hon. member have the unanimous consent of the House to move the motion?
Hon. members: Agreed.
The Speaker: The House has heard the terms of the motion. Is it the pleasure of the House to adopt the motion?
Hon. members: Agreed.
(Motion agreed to.)
So either the Conservative Party dissenters were not in the House Of Commons that day, or they did not object.
billybob says
This petition was very disturbing, as it is chock full of inaccuracies that it seems nobody decided to check on…
Petition e-411 (Islam) aims at condemning Islamophobia throughout Canada. It reads as follows:
« Whereas:
Islam is a religion of over 1.5 billion people worldwide. Since its founding more than 1400 years ago, Muslims have contributed, and continue to contribute, to the positive development of human civilization. This encompasses all areas of human endeavors including the arts, culture, science, medicine, literature, and much more;
Recently an infinitesimally small number of extremist individuals have conducted terrorist activities while claiming to speak for the religion of Islam. Their actions have been used as a pretext for a notable rise of anti-Muslim sentiments in Canada; and
These violent individuals do not reflect in any way the values or the teachings of the religion of Islam. In fact, they misrepresent the religion. We categorically reject all their activities. They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world.
We, the undersigned,Citizens and residents of Canada, call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia.” (emphasis in original text)
Petition e-411 (Islam) was Initiated by Samer Majzoub from Pierrefonds, Quebec, on June 8, 2016, and is Sponsored by: the Liberal MP . MR. Frank Baylis, MP for Pierrefond for the Liberal party of Canada.
Significantly, while Petition e-411 (Islam) states: “We the undersigned Canadian citizens and residents”, it is open to global citizens against discrimination based on religion. Upon completion, the petition will be presented at the House of Commons to be voted and adopted by Federal Parliament of Canada.
***
There is no evidence that “Muslims have contributed, and continue to contribute, to the positive development of human civilization.” There is much evidence to the contrary.
“These violent individuals do not reflect in any way the values or the teachings of the religion of Islam. In fact, they misrepresent the religion … They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world.”
The actions of “these violent individuals” are based on the Quran, Hadiths, and Sunna, and very much reflect the values and teachings of the religion of Islam.
Furthermore, there is no evidence whatsoever that “Muslims desire to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world.”
This was a very irresponsible motion that should have been shot down before it began.
BLC says
“This was a very irresponsible motion that should have been shot down before it began.”
To tell you the truth, the more frivolous, flighty, errant and irresponsible a motion is, the more likely the Liberals are to vote for it. That’s their M.O.
Mubarak says
How many of these “Citizens and residents” were devout Muslims and Imams with a proper and thorough understanding of Islam, one would like to know? And was the motion a result of their initiative? If so, it would be more logic to write “they misrepresent OUR religion” and “They in no way represent OUR religion, OUR beliefs and desire of Muslims” instead of “they misrepresent the religion” and “They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims.”
The motion reads thus more like a wishful prescription by infidels than a real description of the tenets of Islam.

Most of the rest of the supporters were likely Liberal Infidels–dhimmi fools, just as Mubarak likes it. Conservatives appeared to be the only ones opposing it.
The implication that many of the Muslims involved probably know nothing about Islam is ridiculous; Taqiyya is, in fact, a mainstream part of Islam, and screaming “Islamophobia” has become very much a part of that in the “politically correct” West.
vladkoval says
Mubarak, this video is about your claims that muslim rapes are the result of Christian leaving God and dressing immodestly. Or maybe you are the man on the video??)))
Mubarak says
Summa summarum:
Islam serves a purpose in the overall economy of God. A culture that “pisses” Christ and disfigures the image of God, in which man is made as man and women, will have its own “piss” sprinkled upon its head *AND ISLAM WILL BE IT.* The Left, especially, is busy with this enterprise of mocking God and it provokes the anger and judgment of God; Muslims, with God’s permission, complementary invokes the judgment of their Allah – who is vehemently opposed to the gospel – *AND SHARIAH WILL BE IT.*
By these two hands of God, the miserable house of the West will increasingly be left to itself desolate.
It is a frightening subject that doesn’t spur entertainment and I understand it offends many people. —
But: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.”

Notice that Mubarak does not even bother to deny that he is spouting *exactly* what the repulsive Muslim cleric, above, has to say.
As for his link, I am not great fan of Johnathan Edwards, but I must have missed the part where he demands that Christians let in hordes of Muslims to rape them so that they could atone for their sins…
Also, this shows–once again–just how little Mubarak understands about Christianity. That he apparently believes that Christians follow the beliefs of an early 18th-century Puritan who rejected the idea of free will is really quite bizarre.
But, as noted, Edwards still does not call for what Mubarak does; a deliberate surrender to evil, in the (alleged) belief that surrendering to evil is atonement for such matters as allowing women to go out without a “Mehram”.
Christianity *does not* demand surrender to evil; it teaches that evil must be opposed.
So–who benefits from a surrender to Muslim savagery? It is obvious–Mubarak and his own violent coreligionists do.
vladkoval says
Mubarak,
again about your idea of “the West deserves what it gets from muslims”
You are not “qualified” to to comment on antimuslim resources.
You are not familiar with problematics of Islam.
Islam has concept of arwa – nudity – the parts of human body to be covered.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intimate_parts_in_Islam
According to Arwa – woman is equal to Arwa wholly. That means even modest clothes and headscarf are not enough to please the sick views of muslims.
Youtube is full of videos named in Arabic “Taharush al-muhajaba” (Harassment of woman in hijab), where we see a totally modestly dressed woman in hijab sexually harassed by a group of muslims – because only burqa is what makes her “look modestly”.
During the Egyptian revolution of Maydan-at-Tahrir, there was famous slogan of egyptian women: I am for Thawra for I am not Arwa (rhyme) – that means – I am for revolutin coz I am not Arwa – because even them are fed up with concept of Arwa which implies total cover and doesn’t work if less covered.
And I know what you answer: “Those details don’t matter – Islam is like Nebuchadnezzar – evil sent by God to punish wicked nominal Christians”.
I wish you by miracle of Pentecost to understand Russian language for at least one year, and to study what ROC says and said through its multitudes of literature. They explain the rise of Islam as punishment of wicked Christians. Actually ROC always sticks to idea “the victim is guilty”. ROC is dhimmy fake church. And we know the lot of Russia – ever-backward place with zero contribution to.. everything what is good. Even “Orthodox Greece” is breaking up with Russia.
You should move to Russia and stay there forever – there you belong for what you claim constantly.
Mubarak says
I think it is worse than that, v. – ROC and the Catholic Churches, in fact the whole church system is a carcass and I consider:
– The Muslim invasion of the “Christian” West is the fulfillment of the words from Matthew 24:28:
“For wherever the carcass is, there will the vultures be gathered together.” –
Anyhow, I don’t insist, that I am right or express myself in a prudent way – I like the expression that “even when we are right we are wrong.”
But this is the comment-section, so be a little tolerant with “dissidents”.

Oh, vladkoval, I believe Mubarak is *very much* familiar with the Islamic concept of Arwa–in fact, he has demanded that we regard women in just this way.
He has said that women and children deserve to be raped because women are allowed out without a male guardian, because they can work and go to school alongside males, because we allow mixed-gender youth wrestling.
In other words, he is demanding *Purdah*–which is not a Christian concept, but a *Muslim* one.

More:
Anyhow, I don’t insist, that I am right or express myself in a prudent way – I like the expression that “even when we are right we are wrong.”

Phobia is defined as a persistent FEAR of a specific object, activity or situation. Examples of irrational phobias: “ablutophobia = fear of washing, “agoraphobia= fear of open spaces, “spectrophobia = fear of mirrors, “tetraphobia = fear of number four. None of those phobias and many more others are object of prohibitions, adverse motions or punishments, in spite of their irrationality, since their manifestation belongs to the personality, intimacy and freedom of the individuals who develop or suffer it. Now there is aother very specific phobia that numerous people don.t think at all that it is IRRATIONAL. I think that you will avoid me to explain why this phobia is rational, based this opinion in the endles acts commited by Islam and the Islamists against the non-Islamists, and the “Meinkampish-like” program (Sharia-Koran and so on) of that called religion that compels its believers to put in practice. Despite of the total, full and compulsive rationality of this feeling, the called Islamophobia is harassed, pested, threattened, forbidden and punished by the representants of its victims, being those unfairy policies perfecty irrational, for not saying much more crude epithets. The phobia against Islam doesn,t need and is not in most cases pure hate but exclusive fear and it is a human right not to keep it secret and being able of comment or manifest it. When this Islamophopia falls into true hate should no be called Islamaphobia , but Islamomisia, or something similar using the greek ethimologic word for hate.

Greyhound Fancier says
You know who your masters are, when you know who you can’t criticize, or make sport of them.
We donate monthly to help Christians who have been displaced from their homes by Muslims, whose women and girls (even in some cases, grandmothers) have been made sex slaves by Muslims, and who have been credibly threatened with crucifixion or beheading if they continued to refuse to convert to Mohammedanism. Many of the Christians from Iraq and Syria have had numerous family members killed, and women can find themselves wearing a price tag at an ISIS slave market.
Of course, the US or Canadian governments do not assist the Christians, happily permit Mohammedans to emigrate while keeping Christians and other religious minorities from being taken in as refugees.
As a Christian, I don’t think my fear of Islam is irrational in any respect.

Your point on the whole is excellent, Tony! Only the fine point being that one has no influence, choice in where or how one is born, so criticizing, demeaning Blacks for being Blacks is REAL discrimination, but religions and ideologies are choices of people,
So we see here double standards indeed! And more so because Canadians can only influence Canada, perhaps with a kind of fairness, balance in mind of those in favor.
But in the Islamic world everything is so skewed in Islam’s favor and in disfavor of all other religions and ideologies, with heavy propaganda in favor of Islam and heavy censorship on criticism on and opposition to it.
And it is downright dumb and myopic of these Canadians in favor of this to look only national; it is far more logical and just to take the global view. And in the global context this motion very much upsets further an already unbalanced situation between Islam and the other religions/ ideologies of the world.
Ciudadano says
Notice the definition of Islamophobia according to HufPost article: “dislike of or prejudice against Islam or Muslims, especially as a political force.”
The good news is that most comments disapproved that Canadian Parliament motion.
That bogus definition conflates in a single word criticism of Islam and hate against muslims. That is because Islamophobia is a fabricated word invented by some islamists to stigmatize criticism of Islam. The idea is that if you criticize Islam then you must be some kind of racist.
My dislike of Islam is not a “phobia” nor is based on prejudice. My dislike of Islam is rational and based on information and history. My dislike of Islam is based on the way religious minorities, women, apostates, gays and atheists are discriminated, repressed, and even killed in Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan. My fear is that the same some day will happen in western countries.
Demsci says
Yes, there is conflation of Islam and Muslims, and it is widespread, so much that many consider any distinction between the 2 is artificial.
But if I think this distinction through to it’s logical end and I too now see Islam is “unreformable”, then my and perhaps our logical stand towards Muslims can only be: Many or most of you are very nice people, but we hope and like it very much if you exchanged Islam for some other religion or ideology or just ditched it.

Our ancestors fought and died in wars to keep our freedom, not Sharia law. Trudeau is selling us down the river.

My understanding is that unanimous consent is required for the petition to pass. Unanimous consent was withheld by the Conservatives.

Thank God. Trudeau and his gang don’t seem to know whether they are punched or bored when it comes to Islamic issues. Such ignorance is dangerous to the long term survival of Canada as a democracy.

I cannot imagine it would have to be unanimous–in that case, few motions would *ever* pass. Most such cases require either a rough majority–over 50%–or else some percentage, such a two-thirds vote to pass. Not sure what the situation is in Canada.

I don’t know know what you might think of this, but it’s an idea. What if the Jews and the Blacks, who have legitimate claims to victim-hood regarding Antisemitism and Racism, and also have the stats to prove it, also have resolutions passed in Parliament, thereby cancelling the hegemony of Islam over all others that this motion creates. It would also force the Muslim groups and organizations who lobbied so hard for this motion to pass, to vote in favor of a motion that they themselves have instigated. I, for one, would be very happy to see the face on Omar Alghabra when he is forced to vote in favor of such a motion or else prove to the world that he is nothing but a Anti-Semite and a Racist:) If anyone is willing to start an online petition to have such motions passed in parliament, I will be more than glad to affix my signature to it. It is high time to fight back!!

Wrong on all counts.

We need to make a distinction between hatred of a thing and excessive, irrational fear of a thing. The correct suffix for hatred is -mesia, as in Christomesia, the hatred of Christianity, or, say. gynomesia, hatred of women. The correct suffice for excessive, irrational fear is -phobia, as in claustrophobia.
Thus, the correct term for hatred Islam would be Islamomesia and irrational fear of that religion would be Islamophobia. Someone who declares they want to kill you and has assaulted you on more than once occasion may indeed inspire fear; however, the fear in this instance is well founded and thus not a phobia.

Is there an appropriate suffix for real fear?

Worldwide intelligence services estimate that radical Islamists form 15% to 25% of Islam. Or 300 million+ Mohammedans constitute a real threat to the survival western democracies, cultures and religions. Add to that the fact that holy war to advance Islam is a core teaching of Islam. The ignorance of western leaders and mainstream media about the true nature of Islam is our greatest threat.

There’s a Canadian petition in motion addressing the issue of the Canadian Liberal government passing anti-Islamophobia law. Highly advise reviewing the petition and passing it on. Thank you.

Voter apathy got you Trudeau. Continued apathy will get you — through him — much worse — especially for your children, grandchildren and future generations in your country.
You still have a limited window of opportunity to protect your freedom…

A basic tenant of Islam is to use lies and deceit to further the goals of Islam. Islamophobia and racist are false terms designed to shut down all discussion or criticism of Islam. Canadian Parliamentarians have shown their ignorance of this issue by voting for this motion. Canada already has adequate hate laws and blasphemy laws without this Muslim deceit.
Islam is not a race and accurately discussing the teachings of Islam and it’s aggressive history is not a phobia or any sort of bigotry.
