The Religious Freedom in the World 2016 report, produced by the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need, says the kind of religiously motivated violence espoused by Islamic State has given rise to attacks in one in five countries worldwide over the past two years.
It’s puzzling enough that there are still those who do not make a link between violence committed in the name of Islam and Islam itself (including the Pope); but now Aid to the Church in Need has moved slightly toward the truth in coming up with a new term: “Islamist hyperextremism.” “Islamist hyperextremism” is identified by certain hallmarks, including:
…systematic attempts to drive out all dissenting groups, unprecedented levels of cruelty, a global reach and the effective use of social media…
The term is primarily applied to the Islamic State, but it could be used to refer to any Muslim group or person exhibiting such characteristics. However, the term has obvious shortcomings:
John Pontifex, the editor-in-chief of the study, said it was intended to serve as a wake-up call to the “evident genocidal intent” of religious hyperextremism, and urged faith groups to do more to address the hatred within their ranks.
Good luck with that urging. This term appears to be just another attempt to ignore the roots of jihad activity in Islamic texts. Far too many Muslim leaders, advocacy groups and Islamic centers are Islamic supremacists, and only pretend to condemn “Islamist hyperextremism,” while they, too, seek conquest of the West (aka the “house of war”). While such leaders may outwardly condemn the Islamic State, their condemnation is fake, and only serves to cover up their real intentions, which include establishing sharia in the West. Take, for example, the Muslim Association of Canada, which has chapters across the country and condemns Islamic State violence, while being a professed and proud offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB). The founder of the MB, Hasan al Banna, “made violent jihad a cornerstone of his Brotherhood, embracing what he called ‘the art of death.’”
“‘Islamist hyperextremism’ could bring world to brink of catastrophe – report”, by Sam Jones, UK Guardian, November 15, 2016:
A new and deadly wave of Islamist “hyperextremism” is undermining global peace and stability with an impact felt in the Middle East, Africa and the west, according to a new report that calls for urgent action to protect religious diversity.
The Religious Freedom in the World 2016 report, produced by the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need, says the kind of religiously motivated violence espoused by Islamic State has given rise to attacks in one in five countries worldwide over the past two years.
It argues that the “Islamist hyper-extremism” of Isis – a phenomenon whose hallmarks are systematic attempts to drive out all dissenting groups, unprecedented levels of cruelty, a global reach and the effective use of social media – is having a devastating impact around the world.
“In parts of the Middle East – including Syria and Iraq – this hyper-extremism is eliminating all forms of religious diversity and is threatening to do so in parts of Africa and the Asian subcontinent,” says the report. “The intention is to replace pluralism with a religious monoculture.”
The study says that such violence and intolerance have been a major of cross-border migration. In June, the UN said that a record 65.3 million men, women and children had been forced from their homes by war and persecution last year, leaving one in every 113 people a refugee, internally displaced or seeking asylum.
The effects of Islamist hyperextremism are felt most keenly in the Middle East and some African countries, but the report notes that the west is far from immune. “[The phenomenon] is at risk of destabilising the socio-religious fabric, with countries sporadically targeted by fanatics and under pressure to receive unprecedented numbers of refugees, mostly of a different faith from the indigenous communities.
“Manifest ripple effects include the rise of rightwing and populist groups, restrictions on free movement, discrimination and violence against minority faiths, and a decline in social cohesion, including in state schools.”
Father Jacques Mourad, a Syriac-Catholic priest whom Isis held in Syria for five months last year, says that people of all faiths have to find a way to respect one another and their differences. In his foreword to the study, he writes: “Our world teeters on the brink of complete catastrophe as extremism threatens to wipe out all trace of diversity in society. But if religion teaches us anything, it is the value of the human person, the need to respect each other as a gift from God.”
He adds that if the cycle of violence is to be broken, “we need to replace war with peace … It is time to cast aside religious hatred and personal interests and learn to love one another, as our faiths call us to do.”……
John Pontifex, the editor-in-chief of the study, said it was intended to serve as a wake-up call to the “evident genocidal intent” of religious hyperextremism, and urged faith groups to do more to address the hatred within their ranks. “What prospects are there for peace when powerful sections within specific faith groups have nothing but contempt for those who do not share their world-view – and who deny the right to life not just to people of other faiths, but also to moderates from among their own community?” he said.
Pontifex also said that western policymakers had to “rethink their whole outlook” and acknowledge the pivotal role that religion plays in global politics. “It’s no longer compatible to say that traditional faith practice belongs to the past when the evidence shows that for millions and million of people – a new generation – religion is at the centre of their lives, driving everything they do,” he said.

Persecution and discrimination of Christians by jihadists in Muslim majority countries
Persecution and discrimination of Christians by Muslims in refugees shelters in western countries

Terrorist attacks by jihadists against non Muslims all over the world
I suspect they don’t like us, infidels. It seems Muslims actually believe all that stuff in the coran about hating infidels and killing them.

This is regular Islam – murder, rape, loot , steal invade, lie, deceive, etc, etc,.. It is not hyper extremism and taught in their mosques everyday right from impressionable age of five or six. Why we keep deceiving ourselves as if the Islamic terrorism is not regular Islam – it is regular Islam which Muslims will deny with the help of the Western leaders and media!!

muslims advocate doing all the above( murder rape lying stealing etc) BECAUSE muhammed, the perfect man of islam, did all this and more1

Islam is a fascist, totalitarian political system that includes a religion of holy war, bigotry, intolerance, sexism and barbaric cultural practises. Muslims are their own worst enemies. They even kill each other! No one has to lie about Islam. Simply bear witness to the intolerance, bigotry and hatred spread by imams online. Muslims demand respect and rights that they deny to everyone else. This makes them unfit immigrants/refugees to modern western democracies.
Allowing such a poisonous political system/religion in is tantamount to committing national suicide.

OK I was wrong. I used to say that Mohammed was an extremist but it is clear that he was actually a hyperextremist.
It’s getting difficult to keep up.

According to folklore, for hundreds of years people detected the presence of EVIL or demons by the horrible putred STENCH it always emitted.
And that’s the stench that surrounds islam even in todays world.
I’ve spoken to many an International Traveler, and they all talk of how horrible it is riding in a plane full of Muslims! They are all agreed, the oder is unbearable! Everyone thinks it’s either because they simple don’t bath OR because the dont use toilet paper.
But, in reality, it’s the stench that has come with the presence of Satan and his Demons since the beginning of time.
Do the research yourself. It’s there for all to read!

I would suggest that someone like David Wood,if he hasn’t done it already, do a well researched dissertation on the reality and danger of Islamism and send it to all the world’s political and religious leaders to open their eyes to the naivety, danger and foolishness from which many of the suffer.
The first copies should be rushed to Angela Merkel,Pope Francis, and Swedish Government but all the Western leaders would benefit from this education. The Eastern and African countries know only too well the anti-life ethos of this religion as they live with it every day !

I wasn’t paying close attention when I began reading this article. I had been reading the news and articles for a couple of hours straight, and my mind was drifting off, thinking it was about time I stopped reading and go to the kitchen for a bit of supper and perhaps, grab a beer. Then what I saw when I read “Islamist hyperextremism” was “Islamophobic hyperextremism”. Imagine my confusion as I began reading from that perspective. Now my confusion could be forgiven when I saw it was a Catholic charity talking about Islam. All we ever read about these days is how the pope and the Catholic church loves Muslims, so it was quite logical that I got it wrong.
So I saw Islamophobic hyperextremism being described as “…systematic attempts to drive out all dissenting groups, unprecedented levels of cruelty, a global reach and the effective use of social media…” I thought gee – that is pretty harsh, until I read on a little further and took a double take when it began to talk about “evident genocidal intent”. I might hate Islam, but I’m not quite there yet!

Scientifically, logically and rationally when we evaluate a religion or an ideology, any religion or ideology, we have to evaluate first the behaviour of its founders. For example to evaluate Christianity we have to examine the behaviour of Jesus. When we want to evaluate Islam we have to examine first the behaviour of Mohammed. The same criteria apply to Buddhism, Shinto, Hinduism or Bahai. Comparing the KKK or any white supremacist group to Christianity is total insanity and ignorance, since Jesus did not behave like the members of the KKK nor did his teachings ever influence the mentality of white supremacists or spawned their actions. Buddha is a symbol of peace and that’s how Buddhists behave. Krishna did not teach hate. That is why Hindus don’t have any problem coexisting peacefully with everyone. Comparing ISIS to Islam is valid and proven by the Islamic texts themselves since not a single action ISIS did was not done beforehand or not taught by Mohammed. The atrocities and the persecutions witnessed by religious minorities in Islamic nations didn’t just happen. They are the direct consequences of what Mohammed taught and how he behaved. Ignorance is the weapon western politicians kill their people with. None of those politicians bothered to open a Koran, the Hadith or read the Sira of Mohammed. Or anything about the violent and aggressive 1,400 year history of Islam before spouting their nonsense in front of the media.
The only thing more ignorant than a politician is what the mainstream leftist media reports or omits to report about Islam.
