Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Cometh the Hour, Cometh the (Wo)Man, Or, Ayaan Hirsi Ali for Ambassador to the U.N.

Nov 10, 2016 4:12 am By Hugh Fitzgerald

ayaan

Donald Trump’s first appointment – one he could announce urbi et orbi within the week, if the person I have in mind is willing – should be that of Ayaan Hirsi Ali as the next American ambassador to the United Nations.

What are her qualifications?

She is supremely intelligent, articulate – soft-spoken but steely – in speech, a lucid and impassioned writer, and, what never hurts in making a case at the U.N. or on television, unusually attractive.

She has written four books: The Caged Virgin: An Emancipation Proclamation for Women and Islam; Infidel: My Life; Nomad: From Islam to America. A Personal Journey Through the Clash of Civilizations; and Heretic: Why Islam Needs a Reformation Now.

Were she to be appointed, those books will no doubt be reprinted, and read, by diplomats at the U.N. who want to find out more about her, by people in chanceries all over the world, and even in courses on Islam (those that are not taught by propagandists for the faith).

She was born in Somalia, and spent her first nine years there. She then lived in Saudi Arabia and Kenya before moving to the Netherlands. There she worked with mistreated Muslim women, learned Dutch, and became a member of the lower house of the Dutch Parliament.

In the Netherlands, Ayaan Hirsi Ali had the freedom to study and question Islam, which ultimately led to her abandoning the faith forever. But she did not drop the subject. She did not forget what so disturbed her about Islam, a faith which, through no fault of her own, she was born into. She has seen Islam as it was practiced in Somalia, in Saudi Arabia, in Europe and in the United States. She was a friend of Theo van Gogh, with whom she made the movie Submission, about the position of women in Islam. For his pains, van Gogh was murdered by a Muslim. Ayaan Hirsi Ali moved to the United States.

As the American representative at the U.N., she would make the freshly-minted charge that the presidential election signaled the triumph of “white nationalists” look ridiculous. And on meeting with her predecessor to discuss the job, Hirsi Ali would be able to speak truth to Power.

And she would be able to drive the Muslim representatives mad with fury as no one else possibly could. Every attempt at Taqiyya or Tu-Quoque by these representatives will be held up by her for inspection and mockery. She will be able to quote – and will be sure to quote – from the Qur’an and the Hadith. What will they say? How can they respond? That she doesn’t know what Islam is all about? She knows.

Ambassadors from the non-Muslim lands have so far not dared to speak truthfully about Islam. No doubt some are willfully ignorant, or intolerably stupid, while others have a hypertrophied fear of offending the Muslims who are now in their midst, living in the countries that these diplomats represent. Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s ability to discuss Islam with authority, to quietly but relentlessly refute what the defenders of the faith offer, will at first be a source of secret delight. And then some of those formerly fearful representatives will be emboldened to add their voices to what started out as a chorus of one: Ayaan Hirsi Ali.

There is one more thing. It’s the matter of security. Wherever Ayaan Hirsi Ali goes, wherever she speaks, there must be bodyguards. There are already plenty of guards all over the U.N. But more would be needed to guard a particular person, Ayaan Hirsi Ali. There are logistical problems. There is the extra cost. But it would be worth it. The very presence of those bodyguards would be a constant reminder to everyone of the threat of Muslim terrorism and of what Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and others who leave Islam and proclaim the reasons for their apostasy, must endure. And that’s not a bad thing. It should even be possible to have the U.N. pay the bill for her security, because “the terrorism that threatens Ayaan Hirsi Ali threatens the world” – or at least for the American government to loudly make that request of the U.N. and, if turned down, at the very least make that refusal widely known, or even threaten to deduct the cost of that extra security from what our government contributes to the U.N.

As they used to say on Delancey Street, what’s not to like?

Ha ha just imagine the Leftard conniptions! “Raaycist! – no wait, er, Bigot! – no wait …”

The Gramsciites will, of course, try the “more in sorrow than in anger” routine to raise “concerns” about her personal background. Trump’s spokesperson will sweetly counter by observing that “the President has spoken with Ambassador Hirsi Ali and is confident that she will strictly follow legal rules and protocol for email communications at the Department of State.”

  13. billybob says

    Nov 10, 2016 at 6:02 am

An excellent idea to empower this woman, in any way. Give her the financials assets of a corporation. Give her the persuasive capabilities of Madison Avenue. Give her an army of intellectual footsoldiers. Set her loose upon the world. Let her be the spearhead of nothing less than a full frontal attack on the idea of Islam.

Wage jihad against Sharia. Bomb Islamic nations with the truth about Islam. Start a global revolt against its hegemony. Let social networks become saturated with her message – liberty of thought and freedom from oppression.

Let America offer refuge to those fleeing the oppression and persecution of Islam, these same gaining refuge for the price of offering testimonials renouncing Muhammad and all he stands for if they were Muslims. Isolate Islamic nations from commerce and the world banking system. Let every free nation turn their backs upon them and shun them. Let the voice of Islam become muted to a faint whimper. Offer people a reward for voluntarily turning in their Qurans and burn them by the hundreds and thousands in solemn celebrations conducted by cheering ex-Muslims and their supporters, broadcast around the world.

    Let the revolution begin!

    • t. says

      Nov 10, 2016 at 11:38 am

billybob, I agree with what you say and that would be a dream come true, for me personally, given my deep knowledge of Islam, for over thirty years now!

Nevertheless, I think that would be too much hopefulness on our part given the weight given to the exaggerated importance of money, an economy that is mostly axed and measured by the accumulation of wealth in terms of materialistic possessions and industrial output, and above all, whole populations of individuals, mainly in the west, conditioned since a young age to and take for granted a certain life style, sustained by a steady stream, if not river, of hard cash.

Take for example the automobile industry, the US, Germany, and Japan, all have huge profits from selling high end luxury cars in many gulf states and Muslim countries. Not a single one of the former countries is ready or dare to do or say any thing which risks to offend their base customers in these later ones. If one of them dared to do so, not only that would affect the profitability of its whole economy but the other two competitors would happily rush in to fill the vacuum and increase their riches, then brag about it later!

Another good example would be what was supposed to be a tool to help us understand our psychology, mind and body inner workings, emotional well being, social interactions and basically why we do what we do- authentic, qualified and well read motivational speakers, life coaches and researchers who could have helped a lot, not only large swaths of the population but our governments and leaders to work out this seeming puzzle of Islam, its motivational system, the psychology behind its followers and the unjustified favorable response that it is getting in the west.

Here is why they are not doing that- they are busy with their talk engagements in Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore and Qatar and t don’t want to offend their clients and their YouTube channel followers.

Do you see how it comes back to money, every time!

      • billybob says

        Nov 10, 2016 at 4:50 pm

You make a good point there Mr. T. I’ll admit I was daydreaming. Whatever response we make to Islam will have to be done by we citizens. We cannot count on the powers that be. But I think we could do a lot to undermine the idea of Islam. In fact, we already are by just talking about it on the open internet in our minions. Personally I enjoy discussion forums all over the internet, where I rarely find myself alone in my negative view of the Islamic cult.

Withdrawing from the UN would rob the americans from an important podium and I strongly believe it is worth to be heard. When the US would leave the UN we would seriously let down Israel in a way that even I would hope to be unthinkable. Ayaan would be a perfect party to convince women from muslim countries that they are heavily suppressed, exactly because she has a somewhat more practicle stand and chooses to speak TO muslims and not only ABOUT muslims. She is an extremely persuasive women, relentless in her fight to expose the nasty sides of islam!

  18. Gray says

    Nov 10, 2016 at 8:16 am

I respectfully disagree. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is an amazing woman, but she is not an American, is she? If she is not, would her appointment imply there are no Americans capable of fulfilling the role? Hopefully not. I’m sure there are any number of eminently qualified Americans who could fill the post with distinction. Could I suggest Allen West, a career soldier who has no illusions at all about the true nature of Islam? He has served in Congress, and knows about Government practices. He would fill the post with great distinction.

She is an American citizen, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayaan_Hirsi_Ali. Although Wikipedia isn’t a vetted site, such a statement (being three years old at least) has had ample opportunity to be corrected by now.

The statement: “She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2013 and…”

Thus she *is* eligible for government positions.

Interesting idea, but the population is about 325m. Trump should be able to find someone isn’t a recent convert. (He could solicit her advice for a candidate, however.) Also Trump has far more important problems than selecting the next ambassador to the UN of One Worlders. In fact, it wouldn’t hurt to leave that post empty for a while. Doing so would give America’s angry “progressive” children something new to focus their rage upon and to keep them busy for a while.

Right now, he must nominate qualified people for each of the five most important members of his cabinet AND obtain Congressional approval AND harmonize them:

    (1) Attorney General
    (2) Secretary of State
    (3) Secretary of Defence
    (4) Secretary of Homeland Security
    (5) Secretary of the Treasury

Each of the respective departments is utterly infested with pests and in need of deep cleaning.

Hillary, in her crying jag after losing (according to Edward Klein anyway) angrily blamed Comey for her loss. Comey and Obama both, not herself, not Huma and Podesta either. Trump could see it that way too, but likely he is just as pissed at Comey for letting her off the hook. At any rate, FBI agents will no longer have Obama and his DOJ at their necks.

        • linnte says

          Nov 13, 2016 at 8:49 pm

I am fully aware of my Irish/Scot history of indentured/slavery. American blacks are not my enemy unless they proclaim to be, like the Black Lives Matter movement. I grew up in Flint Michigan where 75% of the population are black. I can even speak a pretty good jive. I am not saying there is no predijist against whites or blacks. That is pretty evident with your own words. What I am saying is blacks comprise 12% of the population and the majority are not a danger to me or you. They are just as patriotic, loyal, hard working and as fun as you and I. I know! I live it!

And I also know that if the heartfelt “realness” of feelings like yours continues, the racial divide will continue. Personally, I don’t give a rat’s puckie what color someone is. We all bleed the same red blood. What DOES matter to me is how you as an individual treat me. If all people would ignore color we wouldn’t have a problem.

Blacks don’t have a consensus on an ideology that commands them to hate white people. Islam does. Which is why I frequent this blog. And Islam is made up of a myriad of different colored people. THAT makes Islam much more dangerous in my book.

How about Robert Spencer for a high position in the Dept of Homeland Security?

    Great suggestion Hugh.

If nothing else, this appointment would drive the Organization of Islamic Cooperation totally apoplectic.

It would also be an unmistakable signal of the Trump Administration’s foreign policy direction.

Great lady incredible story I liked her from the start. We’ll see, its all very exciting.

So our most powerful and recognizable Muslim citizen (Mr.Obama) just got a first hand look at how sincere and dedicated President Trump really is.

Ayan is very admirable, but isn’t it time for the US to withdraw from the UN?After all it’s very inception was a slap in the face of all nation states. Seriously, no one needs Agenda 21, global education, UN soldiers, UNESCO or their secret satanism or anything they do. Withdraw all financial support from the UN now! Maybe the land and building could be confiscated too and put to good use.

Ayan could be very helpful in cleaning out the rats’ nests in American “anti-terror” operations. Get her together with Phil Haney and Steve Coughlin and some other true patriots. Now that would be awesome!

Trump will soon have a historic opportunity to “drain the swamp” and appoint patriotic non-Muslims in place of all the many MB connected people who were promoted by Obama.

Hope he seizes his chance. Ayaan would be a great choice.

I disagree. It would be cruel and dangerous to send her to the UN, into the clutches of Saudi Barbaria. She should be an advisor on muslim immigration related issue.

I have a feeling that people of her mettle don’t seek the easy road in life! 🙂

What an honor it would be to have her represent this country!!

Great Idea. Ms. Hirsi at UN and hopefully Mr. Farage in EU the left would have sleepless nights. Mr President go help us the civilized World at large.

Excellent idea! And, I suspect Donald Trump reads this blog, so come on Mr. Trump, let’s do it! She is an articulate, internationally acclaimed advocate to stop Islamic terror. She shares all your views on Islam (not a full Muslim ban, but you changed your mind on this) and she would add an air of dignity, class and credibility to your administration. Please consider!

That would be great feminist could say nothing againest here as she was born in Africa and a women . Or another great women for the job for the UN would be Briggit Gerable . Form act for America

I think that Trump appointing Ayaan Hirsi Ali as our ambassador to the U.N. is a stroke of GENIUS! Yes, she is occasionally a bit soft on Islam, hoping to reform it, but that is understandable since she has experienced both the good and the bad that Islam has to offer. And “Yes”, she would indeed require additional security protection. But she has been in government before, she is smart, educated, articulate, experienced, intimately familiar with Islam, and NOT A WHITE PERSON. She may not be interested, but I truly cannot think of a better person for the job.

My own view of Islam and what to do about it has been primarily influenced by her. I think that her analysis that the real problem is that Islamic culture needs change, to become much more tolerant for example, is the most incisive out there. She notes that Mideast peace is not dependent on Israel, but on Islamic cultural evolution. I’d rather see her as Secretary of State than hang around that madhouse known as the UN. And she sure won’t be playing peek-a-boo with e-mails.

I would be so impressed if she became the U.S. Ambassador to the UN…as long as the UN exists, it’s time someone like her set the record straight about Islamic totalitarianism w/o fear of being labeled Islamophobic.

If I were to list 10 people I have known during my 71 years who were true “heroes,” Ayaan Hirsi Ali would be one of them. Hope we can send a letter with thousands of signatures to President Trump asking him to consider appointing her.

I have two problems with the admirable woman.

    1) She is not a hard borders advocate IIRC. Indeed she sees migrantion as an opportunity for oppressed Muslim women etc. The is absolutely key to the survival of the west.

    2) Amazing though she is is she ‘American’ in having an intuitive, gut knowledge of what is in the best interests of the American people. Is she – in Carl Schmitt terms – wholly on our side or is she a weaponised idea off no fixed abode?
