Iran President Rouhani: Trump can’t reverse nuclear deal

Nov 9, 2016 9:18 am By Robert Spencer

“The United States no longer has the capacity to create Iranophobia and to create a consensus against Iran.”

Maybe not. And certainly the billions that Obama gave to them will go to jihad terrorist groups, and cannot be recovered. But Trump can move now to stop Iran’s nuclear program in all sorts of ways.

Rouhani4

“Rouhani: Trump cannot reverse nuclear deal,” al-Arabiya, November 9, 2016:

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani said there was “no possibility” of its nuclear deal with world powers being overturned by US president-elect Donald Trump despite his threat to rip it up.

“Iran’s understanding in the nuclear deal was that the accord was not concluded with one country or government but was approved by a resolution of the UN Security Council and there is no possibility that it can be changed by a single government,” Rouhani told his cabinet, according to state television.

Last year’s accord with world powers saw international sanctions on Iran lifted in exchange for guarantees that it would not pursue a nuclear weapons capability.

During the election campaign, Trump described the deal as “disastrous” and said it would be his “number one priority” to dismantle it.

Rouhani, a moderate who has pushed for closer ties with the West, said the United States’ standing in the world had been weakened due to its “wrong policies”.

“The United States no longer has the capacity to create Iranophobia and to create a consensus against Iran,” he said.

“The constructive engagement policies of Iran towards the world, and the fact that international sanctions have been lifted, have placed the Iranian economy on a road where there is no possibility of going backwards.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign minister called Wednesday on Trump to stick to international agreements regarding the nuclear deal with Tehran.

“Every US president has to understand the realities of today’s world. The most important thing is that the future US president stick to agreements, to engagements undertaken,” Mohammad Javad Zarif said in Romania.

Tehran insists its nuclear program is peaceful and has so far met its obligations under the deal, but supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said he would happily “burn” the agreement if Trump decides to tear it up.

Some Iranians believe the US president-elect will not make good on his threat.

“The Trump of the campaign is different to Trump the president,” said Allaeddine Borujerdi, chairman of parliament’s foreign affairs committee.

“It is natural that the American president is constrained by international rules and must apply them, notably on the nuclear deal,” the ISNA news agency quoted him as saying.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation said it was prepared for any eventuality.

“We have defined our nuclear programin such a way that we can continue in any situation,” spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told the state broadcaster….

What? Al-Arabyia is running propaganda? Gee, who could have ever imagined that?…

“The United States no longer has the capacity to create Iranophobia and to create a consensus against Iran,” he said.

There’s no such thing as “Iranophobia” or a “consensus against Iran”. People see Iran shouting “death to America” and “we’ll wipe Israel off the map” and they instinctively want nothing to do with them.

Calling him a “moderate” is pretty laughable–but I have heard this bs before.

Only one point Mr. Rouhani, or shall i say demigod Rouhani, you did not hold up to your end of the agreement and therefore you already made the agreement “null and void”.

But we could bomb the Nuclear Bomb building facilities and oust Iran’s radical Jihad government and replace it with a government that gives woman and non muslims 100% life liberty and the pursuit of happiness like we have in America.. Trump and Russia just has to do is to join forces to take out every ((Destroyer of Human Rights) Sharia law governed nation on earth and allow all people regardless of their ; religious beliefs or sexual preferences, gender etc. to have life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness… End Sharia Law’s enslavement of the Islamic world…

Don, Exactly. There is no decorum whatsoever–a fight designed for Mr. Trump’s style. These are the same people who destroyed the US Embassy. Note that his concern is the image of Iran in the world. Al the bad stuff has been pushed under the rug by Mr. Obama. They are very sensitive about this kind of thing. This is a showdown Iran will lose.

Does anyone remember what the founders wanted? Citizen politicians and not career politicians who hold office perpetually. Remember this Senators and Congressmen. You were not supposed to make this your career! finally a true Citizen Politician in the office of the President, maybe the rest of the politicians will listen and see the bigger picture. Ted Cruz knows because he was the best candidate who was even considered an outsider but not enough so that the American People were willing let him be the candidate.

Iran will soon find that now they are playing with the big boys not a community organiser. Despite its problems the USA is still the wealthiest and most powerful military nation on the planet. The mouse has been pinching the bulldog; it may now find out that wasn’t a good idea.

Rouhani to Obama: “We have an invincible military. That’s right, b**** – you set foot in our waters and we’ll kick you back to the gulf of Mexico. That mock ship we destroyed? It was an American ship. I’m in your ships, taking your sailors hostages. See how they cry? Watcha gonna do, b****? Yeah, that’s right – nothing! Because you are NOTHING. You’re a worthless raisin head that needs to be put in its place – and I’m just the man to do it!”

Rouhani to Trump: “We have a deal! It’s signed! No take-backsies! There’s other countries involved, you can’t arbitrarily decide the agreement is null and void!”

They don’t need to. The Sunnis, 90% of Muslims, already would push the big red button on Iran if they had the means. Remember your cleric whose head was removed in Saudi Arabia? Do you remember that you were banned from Mecca? Allah couldn’t care less.

Iranophobia? A phobia is an irrational fear.

With all their talk of “death to America” and the “Great Satan”, the “Little Satan”, their sponsorship of terrorism throughout the world, their threats to wipe out Israel and their threats against their Arab neighbors, the Iranians have created a very rational fear of their regime.

WHAT ‘nuclear deal’? Iran never had any intention of abiding to any ‘deal’. Obama sold out the US, Israel and the rest of our allies by secretly agreeing to every ridiculous Iranian demand and by removing any serious threat of enforcement or return to sanctions. Obama’s ‘deal’ with Iran was nothing short of treasonous.

Well , once is not a real habit , but for this time , I think , we will do like MUslims do. When we are in weak positions we sign contracts and treatise but once we are in up hold position we tear them off . That is what we will do with Iran nuclear deal . Thank you , have a good night sleep .

  23. Risto Kantonen says

The nuclear deal is nothing more than a paper proclamation that doesn’t have any real impact to one direction or another and it’s not even worth the damn ink used to print it.

    Laughable.

Rouhanis’s statement is for internal (and western dhimmi politician) consumption, while contingency plans are made.
Though strategically it may be better for Trump to let Iran run as a counter-force to Saudi Arabia and the Sunni majority that is the muslim world. The more they fight among each other, the less we have to mop up. And I think the west will have to step in after the muslims have waged war amongst themselves for ultimate authority and laid waste to their own lands. Containing jihad in the middle east is the best option and I suspect Russia/Putin agrees. Having a non-nuclear, but economically vibrant Iran may be what Rouhani gets from a Trump presidency, but he will get loads of body bags full of iranians in fighting the wahabist nuslims he hates more than america.

Iran has already broken the agreement numerous times, so it is null and void anyway. But Mr. Trump can rescind any of Obama’s Executive Orders and ask Congress to rescind any of the parts of the Iran agreement to which they assented.

  28. Barry says

    Nov 10, 2016 at 9:43 am

Rouhani, you forget one important factor. If the US leaves the UN, then it no longer has any obligation to adhere to any decisions or deals made by the UN. He may not be able to reverse the nuclear deal, but he will no longer support it either. And there goes a majority of funding for your little build up to an attempt to start a nuclear war. It may not stop it, but it will put a very big dent in it.
