Orbán is an outspoken foe of mass Muslim migration into Europe, and of Europe’s Islamization.
“Trump Invites Hungarian PM Orbán to Washington D.C.,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, November 25, 2016:
U.S. President-Elect Donald Trump has invited Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to visit him in Washington D.C.
The Prime Minister said that Mr. Trump then praised the Hungarian government and called the people of Hungary “brave freedom fighters” during a telephone conversation on Thursday night, Hungarian paper Magyar Hirlap reports.
Mr. Orbán also noted that Trump congratulated Hungary for its economic success in recent years saying that he has called the nation’s achievements over the past six years “outstanding”.
After being invited to Washington D.C., Orbán said: “I told him that I hadn’t been there for a long time as I had been treated as a ‘black sheep’, to which he replied, laughing, ‘Me too’.”
On Mr. Trump’s open attitudes toward Hungary, the prime minister said: “He is much more interested in success, efficiency and results than in political theories,” adding: “This is good for us, as the facts are with us. The economic cooperation has always been good, only the ideologies presented obstacles.”
One of the first European politicians to come out in support of Trump, the maverick Hungarian leader has been a fierce opponent of the migrant policies of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the European Union’s plans to redistribute migrants across the political bloc.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, shortly after the Hungarian migrant referendum, spokesman for the Hungarian government Zoltán Kovács said the Obama administration had left the country feeling abandoned. “My first-hand experience, the experience of the government, [is that] the U.S. has lost interest, and probably with it, knowledge about the region. Europe in general, but most certainly about Central Europe,” he said.
While Mr. Orbán had come out in support of Mr. Trump, Kovács was more cautious than to offer an official governmental endorsement, but did at the time note that the migrant policies of Trump and the Hungarian government aligned.
“If it’s about migration, which seems to be the most acute challenge we face, it’s definitely true that Mr. Trump and the conservative philosophy on migration is a lot closer to us,” he noted.
Hungary, along with neighbours Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Poland, constitute the Visegrad 4 group, who have been a major bloc in opposition of mass migration within the European Union. The V4 now look to the presidential elections in Austria for another potential ally in the anti-mass migration Freedom Party (FPÖ) candidate Norbert Hofer….

That would be the Hungarian Border Barrier:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_border_barrier
It is marvelous not on that this barrier exists, but that Hungary erected it in the course of under *four months*–construction started in June of last year. From what I have heard, it is working quite well.
According to The Guardian, “the number of illegal entries to Hungary declined greatly after the barrier was finished”. Sounds good to me.
Hungary intends to extend the barrier along their border with Romania next.
As bad as things are in Germany, they would likely be even worse if many of these Muslim invaders had been able to illegally pass through Hungary.

Burt, It’s not just Christians who welcome the new broom in Washington. Many people of other religions, and atheists, are hoping that Trump sweeps away the garbage from the past; and puts the US on a new track, both domestically and internationally.
If Trump rids the US of the scourge of Islam, he will win many more friends in Europe and elsewhere. Nations can survive financial and other crises, but they will not survive the continuing Islamic jihad, unless our politicians take some very hard decisions to stop it.

As an American Christian who held his nose and voted for Trump, I am taking a wait and see approach. Had I known Trump would do so badly in my deep indigo state, I would’ve written in Darrell Castle. I remain apprehensive about a serial adulterer with zero government experience who could well get in trouble when he finds he cannot run the US government the way a CEO would run a corporation.
Of course, I voted against Shriillary Shrooooooooooo. Her statements that religious groups would have to change their minds about homosexuality (and which perversion next?) and that it’s alright to abort a child even deep into the ninth month were clear messages that she is a woman for whom the First Amendment does not exist, and that she is utterly lacking a moral compass. The O [mal-]administration’s accommodations to Islam (along with those of liberal courts) bother me deeply.
I pray that God would work on Mr. Trump, and that his administration will be successful. But I remain apprehensive.
Further, I hope my Christian brethren remain aware that bringing the Assyrian down on ‘Eretz Yisroel back in the 7th century B.C. was also the will of God.
Ron says
Despite everythng we know about Islam and those who follow it—the rape of Europe, for example—there are apparently millions of Americans who actually believe we can make good citizens of the world’s worst possible candidates. Indeed, Hillary Clinton and those who follow her seem totally oblivious of the facts that the average I.Q. in the Middle East is 82, that birth defects there are the world’s highest, that women are treated like cattle, and the level of sheer ignorance there is incredible.
Still, Hillary and others would, given the chance, open our doors to the barbarians.
Toleration of those who are different from you has limits and when you invite those who despise everything about your religion and culture and who seek your destruction, it is not magnanimity. It is sheer stupidity.

Trump, as you note, is *far* from perfect–I knew that ever since he lambasted Pamela Geller for exercising her freedom of speech against Shari’ah demands that we “respect” the “Prophet”.

I am an Atheist and of course my voting for Mr. Trump was because I believe he was the best candidate to attempt to save the US from the Muslim hordes. I don’t think Satan (If such existed) has anything to do with it.
While I do not wish to offend religious people, I can’t believe a merciful and loving God would bring down the Assyrians on anybody. When ( not IF) ISIS is defeated in Iraq & Syria; the Syrian War is ended, we ( the US, Europe and the world) will still have Islamic terrorism. ISIS has supporters (almost) worldwide–many of whom are natives of the countries where they live- not immigrants/refugees.
A few months ago ( not sure exactly when-I beleive during the summer) The Wall Street Journal (I THINK) had an article where they interviewed this GERMAN NATIONAL, who went to Syria to join ISIS, and ISIS sent him back to Germany, as ( my terms– the article I think- had others)- sleeper; 5th columnist,) and that he could be more valuable to ISIS in germany, than in Syria as a fighter. And the recent JW post- and comments about this Green- (name) in the UK- white man; born in Britain- .
The US had a creep from FL who went to Syria and came back to visit his parents before leaving. (They had non Muslim sounding names).
The Pakistani who tried (some years ago) to blow up a car in Times Square (NYC) -don’t recall if he claimed allegiance to ISIS or was just a wannabe terrorist,
The list could go on, indefinitely.

Damocles Junior says
True, I think it is mainly the word “Galah” rather than the actual bird. A flock of galahs in flight is quite a spectacular site.

Dom, I must protest. We are here because of one thing which unites us all – Islamofear.
The brutal totalitarian ideology which pretends to be a religion and is called Islam. Don’t run away with the idea that we have anything else in common. There are probably Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Atheists and others amongst us. I don’t wish to know your views outside of the one big issue. Let’s stick together, and not fall out over side issues.
eduardo odraude says
A mistake to think atheists are necessarily more or less virtuous than religious people. There have been good and evil in both camps. And even if all religions are assumed to be tissues of pure fantasy, some religions lead to benign social outcomes, and others — Islam, for example — lead to disaster. Why, for example, did constitutional societies evolve in Europe? Historian Stephen Morillo, who is neither a Christian nor a Jew, places a lot of weight on the fact that the Bible emphasized covenants — contracts — between God and human beings. That paradigm — even if one assumes God to be a pure fantasy — had a benign affect on Europe. The separation of religion and state, moreover, stems in significant part from the fact that the central figure of the New Testament said to give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. He is also reported to have said, “my kingdom is not of this world.” Again, even if you think Christianity is pure fantasy, it had many benign effects. In any case, atheism is a form of metaphysics just as much as theism. Even agnosticism, which takes a stance of not knowing, is arguably at bottom a form of metaphysical commitment, but one that is usually unrecognized by those who hold it.
Kepha says

DJ, It’s an old Ozzie saying meaning ‘a stupid person’. But calling Tony Blair a galah is an insult to galahs. Galahs are lovely birds. We had one as a pet when I was a kid. I rescued him after he was injured, and he became very friendly and even learned to talk.
Useful idiots like Tony Blair have an IQ (Islamic Quotient) lower than that of a moron. He did more damage to the UK than any other British PM – although many others were also to blame. Only Enoch Powell got it right, but of course he was branded a ‘racist’. Blair had a perverse desire to invite an unprecedented number of Muslim immigrants into Britain – “to rub the Right’s nose in diversity.” What a fool! Blair has done enough damage; he should get the hell out of politics and keep his ‘New Labour’ (Neo-Marxist) opinions to himself. Brexit will prove to be the best thing that has happened to Britain in a long time. They now have the opportunity to forge new relationships and treaties with the Commonwealth Countries, the US, and European countries like Mr Orban’s Hungary.

This shows that Trump has his priorities straight. He’s staying true to his word, he’s making the right alliances, he’s still thinking about islam. It’s encouraging.
Wellington says
And the Clinton camp accused Trump of being too cozy with Putin. Anyone too cozy with Putin would never extend the kind of courtesy that Trump did to Orban since Russia under Putin, as with First Secretaries and Czars, has looked upon Eastern European peoples (like the Hungarians) as vassals or enemies.
Also not to be forgotten is the way Obama sold the Poles and Czechs down the river on missile defense. And yet that bitch of bitches on steroids (oh, gee, is this sexist?), Hillary Clinton, the doofa Secretary of State who didn’t even know (or claim to know) what “C” meant on certain documents sent to HER PRIVATE E-MAIL SERVER, actually said, and had her diminutives say, that Trump was supporting Putin way too much. Yeah, right.
Hillary Clinton, if elected President, would have also sold someone like Orban down the river, and for sundry reasons, not the least being that he speaks the truth about Islam and Muslims, let alone understanding, as virtually all Eastern European peoples do, that Russia is never to be trusted. One knows all this that I have stated for a variety of reasons or should know such (guaranteed Christianblood won’t).
Jerry says
So true. Had Clinton won Orban would have been marginalized as a right wing extremist. I can just hear that bitch now as she couched Orban’s noble defense of country in the falsehood of islam as a religion of peace. Orban would have been the xenophobic isolationist while she would be the peacemaker for love and unity among all peoples. Never mind reality, never mind the truth about islam. With Clinton the status quo view of islam would have been firmly ensconced like grooves on a gold record album, ready for sale to the gullible public. But fate was kind, we got a man that knows full well the dangers of islam. And he ain’t afraid to talk about it. Trump may be brash, he may be arrogant, but that’s probably a good thing. Such people don’t like to be made a fool of. And I got a sneaking suspicion that’s making a lot of devious muslims nervous right now.
Carolyne says
Even if Islam were a “Religion of peace,” why would we want another religion to invade our country, peaceful or not, with its rules and customs which are so inhumane and oppressive, especially to women and children? They are conquering us without war and It appeared our previous government was laying down at their feet, without violence. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Oliver says
The Clinton group- while accusing Trump of liking Putin- a few points.
Trump said ( and I am paraphrasing) ( this was during the campaign) that he (Trump) was told that Putin called him (Trump) a smart man (or perhaps, a brilliant man-one of the two). Trump replied, ” tell PM Putin, thank you for the compliment”. They never spoke.
The other day, a NGO THINK TANK in France, run by a Frenchman who had been born in Syria ( which was once a French colony) had a symposium/round table discussion on the Syrian War, and possible ways to end it. The invitees included politicians; academics and businesspeople from nations involved. The Russians sent several people. One of Mr. Trump’s sons was invited. He went, ( and as per the ” breaking, shocking news”) he listened; took notes and asked questions. And had brief conversations with others.(I guess, he was supposed to snub the people- and be a snob- then he would have been criticized for that),
But the media has to find fault. Sort of like an old Jewish expression “Cancel the wedding, the bride is too beautiful”.
BACK TO CLINTON:
JOHN PODESTA HAS HAD BUSINESS TIES WITH THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT AND PEOPLE (WITH TIES TO THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT) FOR DECADES.
THERE ARE TWO BROTHERS, IN THE D.C. AREA– REGISTERED LOBBYISTS FOR A RUSSIAN BANK- THAT IS OWNED AND/OR CONTROLLED BY THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT AND/OR PUTIN AND HIS PEOPLE.( THEY ARE REGISTERED AS LOBBYISTS).
THE CATCH-OR HYPOCRISY–THEY ARE MAJOR ” BUNDLERS”, DONORS AND FUND RAISERS FOR THE DEMS., ESPECIALLY FOR HILLARY CLINTON.

That might be racist, but who cares?

I agree with most of your post but I truly believe that if Trump and Putin establish a good relationship and unite with Europe and this includes Eastern Europe to get rid of Islam danger things might improve and trust can be attempted to be established between East and West.
Interests and alliances change throughout time and we have seen during the 90s so I see no reason why relationships can be improved especially when we all have the same enemy.
Maybe I am being too optimistic but unless we give it a go we won’t know.
Angemon says
“ I truly believe that if Trump and Putin establish a good relationship and unite with Europe and this includes Eastern Europe to get rid of Islam danger things might improve and trust can be attempted to be established between East and West.”
That’s not dependant on Trump. For example, Putin could show good faith and stop the mass production of rabid anti-Western propaganda, get Russians out of Ukraine and point out how the Fakestinians are a product of the KGB meant solely to act as a foil to America-aligned Israel.
Oliver says
Angemon– about a week or so ago, some high ranking Russian officials ( close to PM Putin) were in Israel. My guess is that there was ZIP; ZERO; NADA; NOTHING ABOUT THIS IN THE LAME STREAM MEDIA.
They ( the Russian government officials) were there (in Tel Aviv, Israel) to sign treaties and agreements with Israel, about economic matters, and other things.
AND THE LEADER OF THE DELEGATION- WENT, WITH ISRAELIS TO TEMPLE MOUNT- although the Fakestinians did not want that to happen, and were, well, pissed. His view- —– them.
These things were in some Israeli and other Jewish blogs and websites. (I beleive Israel Today and/or JTA -two that I get) and a few others.
Putin and PM Netanyahu have met several times, ( and Putin showed Bibi more courtesy then Obama did).
Angemon says
Like I said, Putin, a former head of the KGB, could show good faith and point out how the Fakestinians are a product of the KGB meant solely to act as a foil to America-aligned Israel.
Peggy says
It’s dependent of both. Trust is earned and both parties have to be willing to work for it.
They could both stop propaganda against each other. Again, it works both ways and as far as Ukraine is concerned the part which Russians are in was not always Ukraine.
Maybe you should research a little about ethnic diversity especially in Eastern Europe and who had what lands until even recent history.
It’s obvious you are either only getting your information from MSM which we have already established lies or for some reason back Ukrainian government of now which as we all know was enabled by Soros paid unrest in order to get rid of the former elected government. Yes, the former president was pro Russian but he was also elected and nobody was overthrown to get him in.
Eastern Europe is a complicated region and definitely not black and white as in good guys, bad guys.
Angemon says
Peggy posted:
“It’s dependent of both. Trust is earned and both parties have to be willing to work for it.”
And, like I said, Putin could show good faith for a change. Which he won’t.
“They could both stop propaganda against each other. Again, it works both ways”
Fake moral equivalences won’t help you here. There’s simply no equivalence between the anti-Western, especially anti-US propaganda emanating from the Kremlin and whatever you are trying to pass as propaganda emanating from the US and the rest of the West.
“and as far as Ukraine is concerned the part which Russians are in was not always Ukraine.”
Do you speak for Ukraine?
“Maybe you should research a little about ethnic diversity especially in Eastern Europe and who had what lands until even recent history.”
Maybe you should stick to the topic at hand instead of resorting to leftist bullet points.
“It’s obvious you are either only getting your information from MSM”
It isn’t because I’m not.
“which we have already established lies or for some reason back Ukrainian government of now which as we all know was enabled by Soros paid unrest in order to get rid of the former elected government.”
Citation needed. The paid Russian troll, Christianblood, tried to argue that before. Why, he even gave me a link so I could see for my self. And the link he gave me to prove that the US were behind unrest in Ukraine said that claim was false.
“Yes, the former president was pro Russian but he was also elected and nobody was overthrown to get him in.”
Morsi was elected and overthrown. Do you want to see him in power in Egypt? After all, he was overthrown because he did not represent the will of the people there. Of course, you have to say you want to see Morsi back in power, or else you have no internal consistency and randomly apply your standards to suit whatever happens the current case.
“Eastern Europe is a complicated region and definitely not black and white as in good guys, bad guys.”
I’m just going to quote from your previous reply to me:
Gee, it certainly looks like you’re engaging in a simplistic, black-and-white, “bad guys/ good guys” view…
Anyway, like I said, Putin, a former head of the KGB, could show good faith and point out how the Fakestinians are a product of the KGB meant solely to act as a foil to America-aligned Israel, as well as ease down on anti-Western – and especially anti-American – rabid propaganda. If I were to believe 1/10th of what comes out of Russia, I’d think I was living in a place where Christians are being dragged from their homes and shot in the streets, Russian Revolution style, and everyone here was either an Arab raping women and children or gay. And who am I going to believe, Russian propaganda or my lying eyes and ears?

I have been quite concerned about Trump stickingwith and addressing the national security problems and find a solution of the hijra to the U.S.. Under the blanket of religious presecution,or as victims of the war in Syria, many are here to disrupt, as seen in Europe when the facts and reason were hidden the welcome matt for refugees and diversity was advertised. So it is good news to hear him speaking to Orban. and it shows he has a understanding of the islalmic history of conquest and it’s methods.

This is a wonderful start at new relations with all of Europe. With or without the EU. Lets dump Turkey and hope that the right wing party wins next year in Germany too. That will be a long shot. But we will keep our fingers crossed that sanity will prevail in Germany too as it did in America earlier this month.
Oliver says
Phil,
I saw today ( was in the WSJ-print edition, anyhow- a few days ago)– that the EU is having second thoughts about Turkey.
I would guess that nato is also.
Angemon says
I’m not sure how much of it is “second thought” and how much is “there was never a first thought to begin with, just a polite way of keeping them out permanently without outright saying they’re permanently out”. Turkey will never comply with the EU demands for entry, and I don’t see the EU caving in to the threats of “opening the floodgates” – it’s either a few millions of “Syrian” “refugees” or tens of millions of Turks. Not that I think Erdogan will make good on his threats – unless, of course, he wants to go down in Turkish history as the man who single-handedly ensured Turkey would never be accepted into the EU.
Anyway, 2017 is promising to be a… very interesting year, with all the elections. Let’s see how the “far-right” “racist” “bigot” “xenophobic” “populist” candidates (i.e., the people who have a realist look on enforcement of borders and the “migrant” “crisis”) fare. Maybe it can counter the appointment of pro-taking-in-“refugees”-in-Western-nations Guterres.

Nancy, about a year or so ago, a high ranking Saudi military person (I don’t recall if he was a Colonel or General) went to the King, and wrote an open letter TALKING ABOUT:
THE MUSLIMS HAVE WASTED ALMOST 70 YEARS AND TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVES AND TENS IF NOT HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, TO FIGHT AGAINST ISRAEL.
AND ALWAYS LOST.
He went on to propose that the Saudis stop looking to fight Israel, and look to cooperate — and solve problems that both sides have.
The Saudis and Israel share intelligence; there was a Saudi delegation in Israel a few months back. There have been quiet, out of the lame stream media’s eyes and nose, talks and discussions.
And, (Saudi has 2 capitals, not sure in which one) there is an ENGLISH LANGUAGE NEWSPAPER, WITH THE CHIEF EDITOR A WOMAN, that was critical of Hillary Clinton, not enamored with Mr. Trump, but the few editorials I read, she felt Clinton was a disaster.

Peggy says
Yes, me too. Orban has his head screwed on correctly and he can help Trump to understand the Islam problem in Europe, especially Eastern Europe where Muslims have occupied for centuries.
Maybe they can revert back to Christian rule in Bosnia and return Kosovo back to Serbia which will be in Christians hands. There’s 2 new Muslim countries gone back to rightful governments.
Muslims have the upper hand in Bosnia and are breeding jihadists when Serbs and Croatians have always been on that land and outnumber them. Ottoman empire invaded those lands and they were finally defeated after centuries of ruling there only for those lands to be given to Muslims because it was something Clinton found useful at the time.
Hungary and other countries can form a block and lobby Trump to help get Christian rule back in and shut jihadists safe places down.

It’s logic. simple.
If the US didn’t go in to support the Muslims there would be no new Muslim countries there now. Bosnia would have been absorbed by Serbia and Croatia and that would mean that there would be no Islamic activity there. Now we have that region turning into Afghanistan in some areas and breeding Jihadists which are also endangering the rest of Europe.
Same for Kosovo. By forcefully breaking it away from Serbia and handing it over to Albanians hasn’t made that region safer at all.

Or so you say. In any case, you made a claim about Bill Clinton’s motivations. Rambling about possible alternate history does not address it.
“and that would mean that there would be no Islamic activity there.”
Really? Because it seems that islamic activity there was strong enough to spark a war. In any case, your delusional claims, ungrounded in reality as they are, are not addressing what I inquired you about – Bill Clinton’s motivations.
“Now we have that region turning into Afghanistan in some areas and breeding Jihadists which are also endangering the rest of Europe.”

To be completely fair, Orban is a very controversial leader. Just as Trump seems to become to.
Orbans politics within Hungary has a lot of critics, accused for corruption and dictatorical leadership, declining the democracy. So don’t lift him up on a piedestal blindly.
But yes, his determination to stop the invaders at the borders of Hungary is the most correct deed, and also his resistance to the forced placement of the migrants to Hungary is honorable.
The EU tries to find a way to punish Hungary for that. I hope Trump will stand up for Hungary for this time, as the US let that country down in every conflict, 1st WW, 2nd WW, 1956, 1989 -yes every time that little country was in need.
Let’s hope Trump changes this to the better.
Peggy says
To be fair Hungary let itself down in WW2. It was allied with Germany and only in 1944 when Germany was defeated by Soviet Union did it want to pull out of the alliance.
The US was fighting the Nazis and their allies so Hungary couldn’t expect any support from the US.
Orban is doing the right thing by his country and should be supported and I expect that Trump will support him but I can’t see how you can blame the US for not standing by Hungary in WW2.

“To be fair Hungary let itself down in WW2.”
Partly true, partly not. At the Jalta Conference the US – UK – Soviet Union promised free elections in among others, Hungary.
This promis was never kept, the US just looked the other way. So did in 1956 as well.
Let’s hope, Trump will change this.
Peggy says
I truly hope so. Hungary is obviously trying to do what’s right by their citizens and I admire Orban for that. Orban can show how to be a patriot to many people in Europe and he should lead the way. Eastern Europe is very vulnerable especially the Balkans where there are many Muslims. They are the converts to Islam from Ottoman era. Not much can be done about them but countries like Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Slovenia still have a good chance of remaining relatively Muslim free. I am saying they are a problem living on Christian lands and the Balkan being the place where they have lived for centuries is especially vulnerable.

If you think that I am saying that Muslims would be fine if they were forced to live in a Christian country that’s not it. They are a problem in western countries too but Easter Europe is used to dealing with them and knows how to handle them if the country is Christian.
Now that there are two Muslim countries there it is a bigger problem. There is no checks of any kind on them by the government.
Angemon, you know that I am totally anti Muslim and would never give them an inch and yet you still seem to find some point to argue. Like Russia, who gave them Chechnia to do as they please just as they don’t cause Putin trouble? Or in Serbia, where they rebelled and started a war? Did you not disagreed with my assertion that the wars in the Balkans were not solely for religious motives?
“Now that there are two Muslim countries there it is a bigger problem. There is no checks of any kind on them by the government.”
And there it is again – everything would be OK if they were forced to live among Christians. The “checks” and being “used to deal with them” didn’t prevent the wars in the Balkans, did it? Didn’t you went after me because I had the unmitigated gall to suggest that the wars in the Balkans were not solely about religion? Yet again you argue against points you made.

Even if that were the case – and it isn’t – you recently chastised me for using “vulgar language”, only to do the same.
