Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

European Commission top dog: “We must distinguish between Islam and terrorism”

Dec 3, 2016 10:09 am By Robert Spencer

Great idea! Now if we can just convince the terrorists themselves to do this.

“No religion would do that,” the soldier said, pointing to the badly vandalised church. “They’re terrorists.”

Why virtually everyone feels the need to cover for and burnish the image of Islam remains unexplained, but superficially this soldier, and Ján Figeľ, seem to have a point: the Quran says: “If Allah had not driven some people back by means of others, monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques, where Allah’s name is mentioned much, would have been pulled down and destroyed.” (22:40)

However, Muslim clerics often interpret this as referring only to the churches and synagogues in which everyone became Muslim, and not to churches and synagogues of the “unbelievers among the People of the Book” (Qur’an 98:6) — that is, actual Jews and Christians. The destruction or conversion into mosques of the churches of those people is just fine, and there is abundant precedent for it in Islamic history, especially when lands are newly conquered by jihadists, as in the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Damascus and others.

“‘We must distinguish between Islam and terrorism,’” World Watch Monitor, November 28, 2016:

Keeping the distinction between Islam and terrorism clear could prevent an ultimate ‘Clash of Civilisations’, an EU diplomat says.

“All this hatred and bloodshed is a misuse of religion,” said Ján Figeľ, the European Commission’s first Special Envoy for the promotion of Freedom of Religion or Belief outside the EU. Failure to separate fanatics from the religion they claim could even spark World War III, the Slovakian MP said on 26 Nov. in Vienna at an event organised by religious freedom organisation ADF International.

Figeľ, who has been in the role since May, highlighted the words of an Iraqi Christian soldier returning to a church in the recently liberated city of Qaraqosh.

“No religion would do that,” the soldier said, pointing to the badly vandalised church. “They’re terrorists.”

“I applaud this distinction,” Figeľ said, adding that Christianity has been misused to achieve violence aims in the past. “Don’t mix [up] criminals and the religion they misuse,” he added.

Other speakers at the event, ‘Embattled: Christians under pressure in Europe and beyond’, included Swedish MEP Lars Adaktusson and Hungarian MP Tamás Török, Under Secretary of State for Hungary’s new office focusing on the persecution of Christians.

Adaktusson said that although “there is a very clear connection” between organisations such as the Islamic State and Islam, “we need to be very careful not to blame individual Muslims for terrorist attacks”….

This oppressive, medieval crap called Islam will never be shoved down our throats. We’ve advanced too far not to throw it back up. Politicians are likely to bring on WWIII by this absurd denial of reality and callousness toward the citizens who gave them their jobs. If we turn on them soon what will they do? Side with the Muslims perhaps? We’re starting to wonder. Look at videos of someone like Keith Ellison, he turned Muslim at 19 and it’s obvious he doesn’t even understand what he’s involved with and yet he hopes to represent the Democratic party. What a suicide pact!

Copeland, you said it all!! The filthy Koran is a handbook for terrorists..The stupid commission is just that IGNORANT!!! If they are not ignorant, then they are traitors.. Either way better get them out of office, and do so fast!! The EU I pray will soon become the thing of history books, like the Roman Empire.. Or the Holy Roman Empire, which gave way to nationalist preference !!

Lift up any stone, pretty well anywhere and you will find an Islamic apologist crawling there. They are usually on the left wing politically or liberals. With all the evidence now (and increasingly becoming) available which conclusively confirms that Islam, Jihad, terrorism are all one of the same thing, it is currently impossible to comprehend the mind set of anyone brought up in the West who is supportive of Islam or fails to understand the massive dangers that it brings to western society. Fortunately, slowly but surely the average citizen of the West is grasping the danger the left/liberal politicians have allowed in to infect their peoples. Despite the left/liberal’s long term plan to flood the West with Islam and with the tacit approval of everything Islamic, I fear there will be a bloody backlash in the not too distant future. It is impossible to live with an unpredictable rabid dog with a superiority complex.

Comments like this one, by the European commission top “?”, about Islam, make me feel very motivated about starting to look for another place to live, in this vast universe.

It’s beyond being mortally sick and stupid, this world is!.

Just when will these imbeciles learn? Islam is the machine that manufactures the TERRORISTS! !!!!!!
The insane politicians need to recognize the Spiritual Element in these events. They are all connected with islam, like a tail is connected to a Dog!
I thought the most vile Terrorist act of my young lifetime was going to be the murder of the Israeli athletes in Munich of the ’70’s
But not so! The evil and horror of islamic terrorism was allowed to grow vastly worse! As the cash wealth of these animals has grown, so has their ability to destroy!
Any stupid politicians like this one need to be removed! Before they can get anyone else killed.

“we need to be very careful not to blame individual Muslims for terrorist attacks”

Kuffar Americans–of all stripes–need to challenge individual Muslims to denounce and renounce those specific passages from Qur’an and Sunn’ah which conflict with U.S. law and which constitute hate speech.

The challenge needs to be public, factual, and frequently enough that even Ben Afleck will “get the memo”.

One can’t claim ‘islomophobia’ so easily if one approaches scripture in this factual way, and asks where one’s priorities are…Which scriptures does one focus their belief/faith on?

Keeping the distinction between Islam and terrorism clear could prevent an ultimate ‘Clash of Civilisations’, an EU diplomat says.

Sure thing, buddy. You’re going to have to help me, though. Let’s say I have three scenarios:

    a) islamic texts ordaining muslims to attack non-muslims
    b) muslims saying that islamic texts ordain muslims to attack non-muslims
    c) muslims acting in accordance to islamic texts ordaining muslims to attack non-muslims

Under your ideological lenses, where exactly does islam ends and terrorism starts? At the texts? At believing in the texts? At believing in the texts and acting upon them?

F***ing idiot with a saviour complex… The clash of civilizations *is* here, and pretending it isn’t won’t magically make it go away, it’ll only handicap you.

    • billybob says

      Dec 3, 2016 at 2:04 pm

You have misunderstood. That’s not what he is saying. Read it again… He says “Keeping the distinction between Islam and terrorism clear could prevent an ultimate ‘Clash of Civilisations”. That is the current policy of the Obama government and so many others. A policy of appeasement and dhimmitude. A policy of sticking your head in the sand. A policy of sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting “La la la I can’t hear you” as loud as you can. And he is correct. If we all lay down and die, that will prevent the ultimate ‘Clash of Civilisations”. Just sayin’ – He speaks the truth.

      • gravenimage says

        Dec 3, 2016 at 11:38 pm

        Dec 4, 2016 at 1:07 pm

billybob, thank GOD that that Muslim Obama will be OUT in a month and a half of hell to yet endure here… But Europe better find it’s Trump and get it on!! Or hell will be running loose and unchecked on their soil!! It has a good foot hold now, but if laws are passed to make Islam some sort of alternate life style, and except their political and religious patterns Europe will suffer a sound defeat!! Before they can even realize what is going on!!

      • Angemon says

        Dec 5, 2016 at 5:44 am

I understood him fine, billybob, and I’m asking him to explain me the difference between “islam” and “terrorism” with real world examples. Where does the islamic scriptures mandating warfare against non-muslims magically stop being islam and instead become “terrorism that has nothing to do with islam”? That’s what I’d like Ján Figeľ (and a Slovak should know better) to explain me.

        • David Pimentel says

          Dec 5, 2016 at 9:13 am

“We must distinguish between Islam and terrorism”

The distinction exists only in the fact that the former (a tyrannical political ideology) promotes the latter (a means to an end) under a pathetically-thin-veiled guise of religion. All other “distinctions” are lies used to either avert unwanted attention by either the aggressors or their victims.

  10. Shmued B Dovid says

    Dec 3, 2016 at 1:27 pm

More stupidity. This guy mixes up ‘terrorism’ and treats it differently to (Trojan Horse) subversion. Both are the same. Muslim mayors and politicians in the (what used to be) ‘Free world’ fail to place the interests of the (host) country first. They place Islamic interests first and the best interests of the country are academic. Like flowing water obstructed by a stone. The water finds its destination by going around, over and under the stone. When I talk about terrorism it is this internal terrorism which is a much more damaging form of Jihad. Muslims can only refer to terrorism as that which is allowed (it ids not terrorism under Sharia). This guy thinks that violent terrorism is the problem which it isn’t and fails once again to identify and address the problem – ruthlessly.

    • carol says

      Dec 10, 2016 at 9:32 pm

shmued…you’re right on target with Brigitte Gabriel’s warnings. This is where we as individuals must speak up against the lies and subversion and not wait for our governments to do the warlike work. We cannot allow ourselves to be silenced and manipulated by a very determined and tireless enemy. What we are and what we’ve achieved is far too valuable for that.
