“Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them.” (Qur’an 4:34)
“Saudi jailed for call to end male control over women,” AFP, December 27, 2016 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A Saudi man has been jailed for one year for calling for an end to the Muslim kingdom’s guardianship system that gives men wide controls over women, local media said Tuesday.
The man, who was also fined 30,000 riyals ($8,000) by a court in the eastern city of Dammam, was convicted of “inciting to end guardianship of women” in statements he posted on Twitter and in public posters, the Okaz daily said.
He was arrested while putting up posters in mosques in al Hasa district calling for an end to the globally unique system that subjects women in the ultra-conservative kingdom to male control. During questioning, police found out that the man was also behind a wide online campaign to end the guardianship, the paper said.
The defendant admitted pinning up the posters in several mosques, saying he solely launched an “awareness campaign” after finding that some “female relatives were facing injustice at the hands of their families,” the daily said….

How different from the West where we could need women calling for an end of female control over men; Merkel – among many – a case in point.
gravenimage says
Um…right. God knows, I am *no* fan of Merkel and her suicidal policies.
But she *was* democratically elected–and there are many male dhimmis out there, as well.
The idea that Merkel–or any other female leader–is preventing you from driving, or going out without a veil, or marrying who you love, or is allowing your spouse to beat you–as is the case with women in Saudi Arabia–is just ridiculous.
Benedict says
Nobody said that.
Female “subjugation” of men in the West is more subtle. A catholic blogger in an article, “Migrant harassment of women as sign of Western emasculation” wonders why Western men have not risen to the defense of women from Muslim savagery and says:
“I imagine the real answer, however, has something to do with the decades long feminist-leftist campaign to emasculate men and render them essentially neuter. Feminism has degenerated from a campaign to ostensibly elevate women into one that now nakedly seeks to lower men, especially outwardly masculine men. That campaign has taken a huge toll. Not that many men have fought it. Far too many have simply rolled over and submitted.”
– and protest in sympathy with harassed women by putting on miniskirts – literally or metaphorically.

Allah’s puppet-master, A.K.A. “the perfect man”, told women they were inferior and quoted his Quran as proof. What a rancid desert legacy that wastes the minds of 10% of all humanity and 50% in Islam.
And all of that free money from oil in the ground, what has is it brought to the intellectual advancement of Saudi Arabia and Qatar? Where are their intellectual stars? They will never, as a nation, be able to compete with the infidels with one gender bound; without freedom.
And when the world moves past dependence on oil, KSA will be just another society gone the way of the Aztecs. All those beautiful resorts will be in neglect after the Saudis are overthrown by groups hostile to infidels.

They claim that ALL knowledge worth knowing is in the Qur’an so no need to go looking elsewhere. If not for Standard Oil where would they be now?

Will put it here for not knowing where to.
Any need to respond to that piece from the Shoebats aginst yourself and Pamela Geller? (Link not necessary. (You’ve already seen it, am sure. They seem t have a bone between their teeth.
Can guess, maybe, where this need to “expose” stems from: hoping their will stir of the dogs for a federal investigation against the co. of Spencer & Geller –
There are several agenda items on which I find the Shoebats useful: thew father’s take on Turkey & the son’s understanding of the vile drug/death cults of Mexico. Beyond that I find their analysis overridden with a soured Catholicism. (They’re pulling the Catholic League – of the Religious Wars of France and the Hapsburgs – into nearly every discussion pushes their look-about into the distorted (and dangerous) realm of romanticism. (Was going to say of the Bryonic sort, but that would offend them!)
Of course, much of their dog-snarling goes back to that squabble with you (and Pamela) – after you manly defended her – over Islam and homosexuality.
I could go on and on but I won’t. Yes, Islam, in some sense, Islam finds theologically and culturally homosexuality compatible, and, from a side glancing viewpoint, violently not. (The point is well understand to anyone acquainted with islamic societies.) Such a worldview is polarizing and contradictory but what else would one expect from a religion whose arbitrary & capricious god constructs his “kingdom” on earth under the hermeneutic of Dual-Truth Theory coupled with a savage denial of the Law of Non-Contradiction.
I understand your strategy of bringing up the issue of Islam & homosexuality the way you do. It is both an exposure of the Left’s folly with a (not holding one’s breath) attempt to convert them.
Here I’ve gone on & on!
Anyway, the Shoebats have announced that, unlike your Leftist and Islamist enemies, they will be taking you and Ms. Geller down. Will they succeed?

Bravo to the brave Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller!

Went over and read the Shoebat article and came to the conclusion that it was written by a conspiracy fruitcake. Just more fake news creating a tempest in a teapot. Full of claims as legitimate as the claim of perpetual motion.

Can’t even convince my own sisters of the evilness of the Islam threat. They look at me with patronizing pedantry – have I by any chance missed the point that there is freedom of religion and that we are “above” all this? I’m not giving up, I am still making an effort to send the news by Robert Spencer on this site to any newspaper I can find. It will be too late and too little though. What will 2017 bring?

Johan, I think we all have loved ones in deep denial over the threat of Islam. Keep loving them, and don’t give up!
