Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Cancel your vacation plans: Iran bans US citizens, says US ban is “obvious insult to the Islamic world”

Jan 28, 2017 1:33 pm By Robert Spencer

Oh, this one hurts. I already had my flight booked to Tehran for a three-week vacation. I guess I’ll just have to go to Mogadishu instead.

Seriously, while Iran has a great history, as I explain in my book The Complete Infidel’s Guide to Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran is so repressive and authoritarian, and so hostile to the United States, that American citizens would be foolish to go there. Hardest hit by this will be people who have family in Iran, and that is unfortunate, but the choice is between admitting people among whom may be jihad terrorists or inconveniencing some others for a temporary period.

Others hard hit will be the likes of Carl Ernst, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill pseudo-academic whose work on Islam is so whitewashed, so fawningly apologetic, so complete in its denial of the jihad doctrine and Sharia oppression, that he was given an award in 2008 by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the genocide-minded anti-Semite who was at that time President of Iran. Ernst happily flew to Tehran to accept. The incident was emblematic of how much American academia has degenerated.

Note also that it’s an “obvious insult to the Islamic world” when the U.S. takes steps to defend itself from jihad terrorism. Any defensive move by any non-Muslim entity is always seized upon by Islamic supremacists and jihadis and presented as if it were an unprovoked act of aggression. This is a tried-and-true response from Islamic entities going back all the way to the Crusades.

“Iran to ban US citizens in response to Trump’s order,” by Ralph Ellis, CNN, January 28, 2017

(CNN)Iran says it will ban all US citizens from entering the country in response to President Donald Trump’s executive order limiting immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries, according to an Iranian Foreign Ministry statement published on state media Saturday.

Iran is among seven countries whose nationals are barred from entering the United States for 90 days under Trump’s order.

The US ban is “an obvious insult to the Islamic world and in particular to the great nation of Iran,” the statement said.

First, the extreme incompetence, folly and foolishness of Obama and Kerry must have no limit that they feel that they could have come to a worthwhile deal of good value with that tyrannical “mullah regime” of Iran by attempting to work out a compromise with those Muslim tyrants in power in Iran. The outcome of foolishly trying to work out a compromise resulted that the hoax and farce of a “deal.” A former US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt , had well-spoken when he said “There has never been – there never can be – successful compromise between good and evil.”
Second , There now may be real hope since those two pro-Islamic stooges ,Obama and Kerry, are out of office. President Trump will do much better than Obama did on handling the subject of the dangers posed by the Islamic rogue state of Iran. It’s rather obvious that President Trump will do better since Obama could not have done much worse. Furthermore, it’s very obvious that the tyrants in power in this Islamic regime had and have no real or sincere intentions even for the start of keeping any of their promises in a nuclear “agreement deal” with Western nations. As for ,example ,the other month a “test firing” of a missile by Iran, In addition , it was reported on CBN on 5/7/16 only two days before this CBN report the Iran not only launched other “test firing” of missile. The “test firing” of that missile and it even had printed on that missile words in Hebrew that read “Israel must be wiped off the map.” This along exposes the vicious and destructive intention of the mullahs and others in power in this Islamic rogue state of Iran. There were other “test firing of other missiles by earlier this very year by the Islamic tyranny of Iran. This shows the gall and defiance of those mullahs and ayatollahs along those other Muslim villains in power in this tyrannical Islamic regime of Iran their total arrogant contempt for the US and the other Western nations in this so called “deal.” Those Muslim clerics and other Muslim tyrants in power in this cruel and oppressive Islamic tyranny are, in character, reflected in the Bible in Psalm 73:6-9. Which reads, “Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their mind know limits. They scoff and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.” [N.I.V.]

Anyone who knows my posting history here knows I am *anything* but soft on the horrors of Communism. But allying with the Soviet Union–as repellent as it was–made sense at the time to defeat Fascism.

That *does not* mean that I any fan of the genocidal Stalin. This was a brief alliance of necessity, and one that–unsurprisingly–fell apart as soon as Hitler was defeated.

After that, we stood strong against Communism.

Yes. Why fight the lesser og two evils?

A mere rational strategy would have been the one Senator Truman Suggested:

“If we see that Germany is winning we ought to help Russia, and if Russia is winning we ought to help Germany, and that way let them kill as many as possible although I don’t want to see Hitler victorious under any circumstances.”

/Harry Truman, one week after Hitler invaded the Soviet Union in 1941).

Jan Aage Jeppesen, I believe that Roosevelt and Churchill made the best possible choice in a profoundly difficult time.

If I thought that China were really serious about fighting Jihad now, I would probably recommend a limited alliance with them, as well–this would *not* change how I hate Maoism–just that I consider Islam a greater threat against us at this time.

I haven’t felt like laughing a great deal prior to the election.
But I’ve had cause to laugh every day since.
Trump seems to exceed everyone’s best expectations and hopes and leaves his opponents and the MSM trailing in his wake.
He doesn’t have to rely on the editors of the media for press coverage and he even excludes them which is a fantastic power to have.
He has certainly broken the mould/mold in world leader terms.

          Posted on another JW post-

The WSJ (freebie websites) has videos (more or less daily)- short interviews (usually) by the Senior Editor with other editors; sometimes with third parties/experts.

Anyhow, on Friday, the interview was the Senior Editor (Mary Kissell) and James Tarantino, who used to write a blog, now is an editor.

The topic was (in essence) the media and Donald Trump.

And Mr. T had this interesting observation.

President Trump will say something, usually/often inconsequential- and the example used, who had a larger crowd at his inauguration? He or Obama in 2008.

The media goes bonkers, doing all sorts of columns, articles, etc.

In the meantime, President Trump does something important ( that the lame stream media and the lefties would not like) and they don’t even know about it- they are so busy with this inconsequential crap.

          A brilliant strategy

        Hi Linnte,

nice to see you posting again. Re Iranians, they were once a very open minded and sophisticated people. They produced the very first charter of human rights – then came Islam….

Come to think of it, that may explain the relatively rapid spread of Christianity, and other religions, among the Iranians, with the governing regime becoming more and more oppressive inn response.

Only among the Berbers is Christianity spreading faster, so it seems. Though, for the Berbers it may simply be that Christianity is the opposite of Islam, and thus the opposite for Arabs. The Berbers dislike Arabs, very much so.

Newsmax had an article this morning about the judges issuing stays- and one of the comments ( a quite long one, looked like written by an attorney) quotes these laws, and the sections, etc.

Later this morning, i met with a retired attorney-who confirmed (he checked before we met) that Obama had laws passed restricting immigration, visas, etc.

There is one clear downside to Donald Trump’s desire to bar all Muslims from entering the United States: A lot of his company’s meetings with its business partners will need to be held overseas.

The extensive conglomeration of businesses that bear the Trump name — either because of his active involvement or thanks to one of his lucrative branding deals — spans the world. The sun may never have set on the British Empire, but on the rare occasions it sets in the empire of Trump, guests who are watching enjoy the classiest views and most luxurious cocktails. And that holds true for Trump’s customers in the heavily Muslim countries of Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and even Azerbaijan. Multiple golf courses, hotels and housing projects bear the Trump name in those countries, as do consumer products in stores dotting the Arabian peninsula.

The Financial Times estimates that Trump earns at least $3.5 million a year from licensing agreements on just two of those properties. The Trump PRVT “mansions” near his golf course in Dubai sell for $1.8 million each — although it’s not clear how much of that money goes to Trump. The point being: Trump makes an awful lot of money from an awful lot of people he’d rather keep from entering the United States.

Below, a necessarily incomplete map of the places where Trump has business partners in the Muslim world. Let us know in the comments if we’ve missed any.

So, my question is, will Trump forego the millions he makes in these Islam countries for the sake of the security of Americans and America? https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/12/08/where-donald-trump-does-business-in-muslim-countries/?utm_term=.658170b1b701

We need some help from Churches in those countries to train very good interviewers and come up with lists of very clever questions… As I understand, the Christian communities are not that large and are very tightly held together and spread out. Due to the relentless persecution they have had to know each other well and rely on those who could help them and recognize those who would turn against them. Whether Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant/Evangelical–it all centers on Jesus and his salvific work. I believe most Arabs are not that acquainted with our Bible, the Gospels or the person of Jesus or see God as our Father, unless they are Christians. The Muslims would easily trip on simple questions.

This was January 12th 2016. Ten American sailors, including one woman, were seized and taken to a nearby Iranian island. They were released some 15 hours later after a series of frantic phone calls from John Kerry, but not before the crew were forced to issue abject apologies and thank the Iranians for their “hospitality”. Sim cards and data were taken from crew’s cell phones and laptops.

Kerry later stated “We are not at war with Iran”.

The ban all US citizens from entering Iran may well save the lives of a few foolish tourists. Iran is a country where it is quite possible for individual tourists to disappear without trace these days. There is alot to see in Iran, but the dangers now outweigh the benefits. While travelling on his own in Shiraz Prefecture, an acquaintance of my wife and myself disappeared without trace near Firuzabad.

India is a better safer choice and more interesting s well.

If you are an AMERICAN– SEE THIS COUNTRY FIRST.

It is beautiful. I have been in about 25 or so states, and each has its good ( and bad) points.

One of the most spectacular and beautiful sites I have ever seen is the sun rising-as it hits the Rockies, through the clouds- the mountains seem to change color as the sun moves (or, the earth revolves); and the Grand Canyon; etc.

      Just beautiful.

And little danger of terrorist attacks, unlike say Iran, Iraq, Syria, France, Germany.

    • gravenimage says

      Jan 29, 2017 at 1:29 pm

Awful to hear this about your acquaintance, n tesdorf–but it does not surprise. A number of Americans have disappeared in Iran in recent years.

As ill advised as I though Obama reaching out to Iran was, I had at least hoped that he would insist on knowing the fate of these Americans, and helping those who could still be helped–instead, to my knowledge, the issue was never even brought up. Just shameful.

  44. mortimer says

    Jan 29, 2017 at 9:51 am

Iran is obviously in a state of psychological warfare against the United States. Obama should never have removed sanctions or handed mega-cash to the Iranians.

The US did not modify the Cuban embargo or change its attitude to Castro as long as the evil Castro was alive.

There was no valid reason for changing the policy to Iran.

    • gravenimage says

    • Carolyne says

      Jan 29, 2017 at 10:47 am

I believe that Mr. Trump has advisors who helped decide which countries will be affected by the temporary ban. I would like to have seen Afghanistan on the list but there is likely a reason it is not which I don’t know. Maybe the same with Sudan. Certainly Somalia should have been on the list as they are among the most vicious and barbaric group, but again, there might be a logical reason. I trust President Trump.

    • Terry says

      They are savages.

      • gravenimage says

        Jan 29, 2017 at 1:40 pm

Yes–Sudan is enslaving and mass slaughtering Christians. They are also a state sponsor of terrorism:

        https://www.state.gov/j/ct/rls/crt/2014/239410.htm

Sudanese Muslims were also involved in the killing of U.S. Embassy staff members in Khartoum. Sudan has also released large numbers of Jihad terrorists from prison.

They probably aren’t the worst sponsor of Jihad terror on the list, but they are pretty ugly.

Like ALL Muslims, the despotic leaders of Iran are Cowardly THUGS who threaten and terrorize UNARMED civilians all over the world

When confronted on the battlefield, Muslims have been on the losing side every single time for the last 300 years

The fledgling Republic of the USA beat the hell out out of the Barbary Pirates staring with President Jefferson 1801

1917 The fall of the Caliphate of the Ottoman Empire

1948-49 Six Arab armies soundly DEFEATED by the newly borne State of Israel

1967 Israel DEFEATS yet again the might of the combined Arab armies of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Saudia in SIX Days

1971 India DEFEATS the Pakistani army in the war to liberate East Pakistan

1973 Israel once more DEFEATS the combined arms of Egypt, Syria and their Russian Soviet supporters

Thereafter another ten military debacles all over the Middle East and North Africa

The ONLY time Muslims ‘win’ are against UNARMED civilians

With DJ Trump at the helm, Iran will be pushing against STEEL not the Obama STRAW

The Muslim world should really be very WORRIED because PATRIOTISM is rising all over the Western world and “We the People” have had enough from our current spineless leaders in Europe GROVELLING to Muslim terrorists
