Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Conway explains that immigration ban targets not Muslims, but countries with history of harboring terrorists

Jan 29, 2017 6:58 pm By Robert Spencer

As the Left continues its hysteria over a “Muslim ban,” here is the truth.

“Conway explains why ‘Muslim, Islam’ not in Trump refugee order,” by Anna Giaritelli, Washington Examiner, January 27, 2017:

Democrats have slammed President Trump new executive order that tries to bar foreign terrorists from entry into the U.S. by curtailing certain refugees and other visa seekers as discriminatory against Muslims. However, Trump counsel Kellyanne Conway tried to dispel that impression Friday night.

“Kellyanne, I have the executive order in my hand, I went through this. I don’t see you guys pointing out anyone by religion. It looks like by origin, national origin, is that right?” asked Fox News fill-in host Eric Bolling on the O’Reilly Factor.

That’s right, she said, “It’s actually based on a country’s history: exporting into training and harboring terrorists. The president said this executive order is meant to protect our nation from terrorists. In effect in means that those countries that have this history [of exporting terrorism].”

During his inaugural address, President Trump promised the U.S. would “eradicate” radical Islamic terrorism. Yet the Friday order did not mention the Islamic State or other known terrorist groups in the Middle East region. In fact, the 2,708-word document does not contain one reference to Islam or those who practice the religion….

On Friday evening, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on Friday evening lambasted Trump’s executive order that enhances screening procedures for refugees and immigrants.

“Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight as a grand tradition of America, welcoming immigrants, that has existed since America was founded has been stomped upon,” Schumer, a Democrat from New York, said in a statement….

WTH, l know Trump is trying to keep islam and religion out of it, but how is that possible. Looks like Trump is being pushed into a corner – this will be a huge test for him, because the whole world is against him atm. The targeted countries ARE training ‘islamic’ terrorists – so it’s everything to do with muslims.
Even Theresa May has now caved in [showing her true colors], just as l expected. She just as spineless as corbyn, trudeau, merkel etc. They’re all back-stabbing lslamophiles.

lf you can believe the lndependent:

If Pres Trump folds and gives in to the demands of the left, he’s finished- as the left will demand the right to shape all of his policies to meet their approval. He MUST stand his ground

Yes, exactly. Those around Trump need to stop making excuses, and start calling a spade a spade.

I saw in the headlines this morning that he already caved in, there’s an exception for the UK. That implies that “our” terrorists can move freely into the US from the UK. Others too, once the have a UK passport, easy, family unification/reunification.

If Trump thinks he’s got a Thatcher, he ought to wake up, fast!
        ===============================================

Many of us refer to her as Sharia-May, under her stewardship the number of sharia courts has more than doubled! When she meets with Muslims, she’s wearing hijab (or whatever that thing is called). The economist called her “Theresa Maybe”

If I were Trump, in future meetings with her I’d wear chain-mail or a stab-proof vest…

Muslims see this as a perfect vehicle to paint themselves as victims, getting support from the leftist media and who will give them cover to carry out all manner of attrocities- Next time Muislims kill people they’ll just claim Trump drove them to it and the press will agree. The Muslim way is to blame others for everything

If the ban doesn’t target Muslims, it will not work.

Those 7 targeted countries were first listed as a ‘Security Risk’ by Obama and Clinton. But, of course, no outcry when they bombed the crap out of these muslim countries, because the leftist liberals and Obama were on the same team.

I think Trump is just playing it smart. By writing the order around a specific country instead of religion, they can avoid any supreme court suit seeking to overturn it on the basis of religion. Just like in chess, if you move too fast you expose yourself to counterattack. We need to turn off the influx now and then get to work draining the swamp.

Since he began with the same countries that o had listed, he is less likely to be judged by the courts as doing something outside his authority. His attorneys can argue that a precedent has already been set with those countries.

Later, when the furor dies down, he can add sa and pakistan and all the other of the 57.

The entire roster of islamic states will have to added soon. The route a terrorist takes to U.S. is no doubt fluid and easily adjusted.

      • somehistory says

        Jan 29, 2017 at 11:26 pm

If he adds them two or three at a time, he can have all of them on the no-admit list in a short period of time. And the time will not be the same as for these as the 90 days or 120 days, etc. will begin with each group of countries added. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Leftists want small conservative issues to be broadcast as large and large leftist policies/mistakes to be broadcast as small.

Only 109 people out of 325,000 were affected (less than 0.04%) yet leftists want you to think it’s an outrage. Leftists push EMOTION because they do not have the truth.

““This really comes down to 109 people who are all being processed through the system to make sure that when they’ve gone out of the country, gone somewhere that is one of those seven countries… that they’ve done so and not tried to go there and do anything that would cause our nation harm,” he said.”

He *should* be banning those countries. Because *they* are busy *financing* Jihad: not only violent jihad, but also the ideological jihad that has helped produce these swarms of deluded Islamophiles who are screaming with rage at the very idea that the United States should put up any sort of impediment to the entry of Mohammedan potential mass-murderers.

And that’s how you gain credit with the undecided voter: on one hand, the President issued a ban based around nationality. On the other hand, his detractors are claiming it was based on religion. Who comes out smelling like roses?

The problem is Islam. Not all terrorists are immigrants; many of the attacks in Europe were perpetrated by Muslims who were born and raised in Europe so the problem is Islam, not only immigration from certain countries.
