Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Israel: Student gets deluge of death threats for “anti-Islam” art project

Jan 12, 2017 1:25 pm By Robert Spencer

It’s really more of an atheist art project than an “anti-Islam” art project, and the term “art project” is used quite loosely in this case, but anyway, Muslims are enraged. It is good to see that the university is standing up for her. Probably in the U.S., she would be expelled and have to go into hiding.

“Israeli Student Gets Deluge of Death Threats Over Anti-Islam Art Project,” by Benedict Spence, Heat Street, January 12, 2017:

An Israeli student has received death threats after submitting an art project criticizing Islam – but was defended by her university, which stood up for her freedom of speech.

The unnamed student, who attends Haifa university, 60 miles north of Tel Aviv, handed in a Muslim prayer may [sic] with the words “God is dead; keep praying” painted over it.

The project sparked a furious reaction from Muslim peers, who posed photos of the piece online, which had previously only been shown to a few other students.

According to local news site Ynetnews.com, sharing the image led to a deluge of death threats, which led her to go to the police.

She said: “I got a lot of support, except for two students who photographed what I was presenting without my approval.

“They gave the piece a completely different interpretation. I received death threats and messages from people who said they wanted to kill me.”

She added “in everyday life, when you describe someone without pity, you say ‘you don’t have God’. I meant ISIS, which doesn’t believe religion is morality.”

Another student, however, told Ynetnews “[she] wanted to receive attention by harming religion. It’s unacceptable to write things like this. To write that God is dead really harms us.”…

How? Why do you care what she thinks?

And we have few who iterate the important theme, Robert focuses upon- Who cares what she thinks’? How the heck does that harm religion, when she just expressed her own opinion. The muslim view is that no one may disagree with anything Islamic, or else…. now that’s a harmful view, and harms people, and murders them, and no where are we allowed to show this, or discuss this, and especially to condemn all that. In Israel, where four young people were slaughtered by the serial killing of Islam, for being Jewish, for being Israeli, and the widow of the serial killer just received a lifetime stipend for her ‘martyr’ husband, the Israeli’s wouldn’t be allowed to critique the ‘faith’ the ‘religion’ that the serial homicidist just depended upon for his murders.

“The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God. The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg. … Reason and free enquiry are the only effectual agents against error.”

    T. Jefferson

The only reason, the only reason, that Muslims are complaining about this free expression art project is to bring the artist and the rest to heel, and force all non-Muslims to acknowledge the superiority of Islam.

Governments bringing in “hate crimes” are extremely effective in making people afraid to talk. The ;police in UK, who seem to see themselves as auxiliary social workers rather than a force in keep law and order, are only too happy to chase “hate crimes”, rather than burglars.

Hate crimes ( my experience) only when the so-called victim is black or a Muslim.

Some examples- this past week, three synagogues that are within about 1 and 1/2 miles of each other had graffiti on their property-like swastikas, die Jew, etc. The three are all on borders-hence three police departments. One decided- well, nobody was hurt, and the writing was in chalk and similar and could be washed away, and only some hedges were broken (not to mention trespassing, but that was ignored)- so forget about it. However, if ti were a mosque- the National Guard would probably be called out-or at least asked for. ( Consider NY a few years ago, when Bloomberg was mayor- and there were BACON WRAPPERS on a field that Muslims were going to use. Overtime; detectives etc- until the “guilty culprit” called a freebie newspaper to clarify. (bacon was spoiled, left on the field for seagulls- the field was near the water- and other scavenger birds. The wrappers came out of the garbage can- by wind or birds).

Or, a few years ago, five or so black girls attacked and beta up a white girl- and called her various names. But, no hate crime, the victim was white. (Largo, FL) (near Tampa)

Figured this wasn’t on a, let’s say, American or Swedish campus the moment I read the University stood by her…

Another student, however, told Ynetnews “[she] wanted to receive attention by harming religion. It’s unacceptable to write things like this. To write that God is dead really harms us.””

How? How is writing “God is dead” harming religion – any of it? How is it harming you personally?

    • billybob says

      Jan 12, 2017 at 5:35 pm

It is harming Muslims because Islam demands total control of people. Someone exercising free will and independent thought is a threat to the totalitarian tyranny of Islam. They just can’t stand that. All Muslims are coerced and bullied into performing the rituals and prayers, and they just cannot bear to see someone “out of control”. Islam only works when it can be imposed from without. It cannot thrive with full freedom of conscience and critical thought.

Imagine you are part of the Ummah (shudder), and you are making the supreme sacrifice of 5 times daily prayers and all the other nonsense, and you see someone who just makes a mockery of that supreme effort. Wouldn’t you be enraged too?

This is why I have so much hope that the Age of the Internet will be the undoing of Islam. It is a communications medium they can’t control. Threatening anonymous posters is hardly going to stop them from speaking their mind. All these ideas about freedom rushing in, as well as all the criticisms of Islam that any Muslim would be killed on the spot for saying in their own countries, make the required control unsustainable.

This is also why they are so desperate to get “hate speech” laws enacted everywhere. They know Islam is unsustainable in the long run in an atmosphere of free speech and critical thought. It just doesn’t hold up to logic.

Seconded, Mirren. It is indeed an important difference and indicative of Islam’s control-freak, supremacist, and “no-one-but us” mindset and behavior.

Ah, what a disgusting religion Islam is. None worse. Time way overdue that Western elites start saying this but I won’t hold my breath, Nonetheless, Trump is a good start and I am very proud I voted for the guy (and in Pennsylvania no less which is the state which put him over the top in the Electoral College).

        “THERE IS NO G-D.

G-D IS DEAD” (OR, PERHAPS THE OTHER WAY AROUND- G-D IS DEAD. THERE IS NO G-D.

Anyhow, that (I am sure) is not why he was murdered. I doubt that the government even cared about that. And, nobody else really rioted about that-nor, when I ( and my classmates) read about it in college-did we consider it worth arguing about, let alone rioting about.

Allah is extremely sensitive if he finds this hurtful. And extremely weak if he needs over a billion of his followers to fight his battles for him.

However, as we all know, Allah was invented by an illiterate thief who liked to beat women and have sex with children. It’s said that God created man in his own image. Muslims created God (Allah) in their own image.

    • billybob says

      Jan 12, 2017 at 6:12 pm

While I certainly don’t speak for Angemon, I would like to make an observation here. You seem to be confused about who is a Christian, and what is the nature of Christianity. We are collectively “Westerners”, not Christians. Although there are certainly many Christians among us, there are others of any number of other religions, and there are atheists and agnostics and people you can’t even classify with a simple label.

You ask “Is atheism acceptable to christians and they still remain believers in god?” That is sort of an oxymoron. Of course Christians aren’t atheists, by definition. Is atheism (of others) acceptable to them? Well it is not there place to tell others what they should believe. Christians don’t control people like Islam does. Christians have a profound belief in it God who runs this universe, not us.

You shouldn’t begin to call us all Christians, or even “filthy Christians”, and consider Christians are this and Christians are that and Christians are the other thing. Every one of us is unique. We aren’t some monolithic block like the “Ummah” of Muslims.

The other profound difference between Christians and Islam (in the context of this discussion), is that there is no central temporal authority or institution that commands Christians. Where Islam is a total way of life, both personal and political, Christianity is an individual thing. We all believe in the concepts of “Free will” and “Freedom of conscience” and “Freedom of speech”. These concepts just don’t exist in Islam.

Everybody marches to their own beat. All members of a particular church, like Catholic or Presbyterian or Methodist or Baptist will follow the creed of that church, but there is no central dogma or doctrine that all Christians follow together as one body.

You ask “Why christians believe in secularism which stemmed from the theory that god is dead or defeated?” Why do you think the notion of secularism would arise from the idea that God is dead? It does not! Again you are thinking from the point of view of Islam, which wants to control everybody. Christians believe God is in control, not them. Jesus said to them, “Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Jesus spoke of a kingdom in heaven whereas Muslims dream of the Caliphate on earth.

Ibrahim, I invite you to contemplate on what I have just said, though I fear I haven’t expressed it all that well. Especially – what does it mean to have “Free will” and “Freedom of conscience” and “Freedom of speech”. We all have our own view of what is good and right and moral. If we follow Christ’s teachings, we will all share a view based on that, but there still will be broad interpretations.

Even atheists and agnostics will have a moral code, perhaps based on concepts such as Humanism or at least, Enlightened Self Interest. In the end, it matters not from where a person draws his inspiration to be a moral person, what matters is one’s actions. In the bible it says…

Do not judge, or you will be judged. For with the same judgment you pronounce, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ while there is still a beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

In summary, Ibrahim – you have very little concept or understanding of either Western thought or Christians. You are filled to the brim with false notions, and for that reason curse us out of ignorance while we curse Islam out of knowledge.

Firstly, notice that muhammed has no problem with his violent coreligionists threatening death–but then, why would he? This savagery is perfectly Islamic. *Ugh*.

Then, notice what he is positing–the idea that one does not really believe in God unless they are willing to murder people who hold other beliefs.

What claptrap. Secularism either refers to the separation of church and state–which most devout Jews and Christians support–or else it refers to agnosticism or atheism.

But look at how muhammed views it–as a declaration of weakness by Christians, which is utterly false, but should not surprise.

One of the students said, “to write that God is dead really harms us.”…

Apparently his/her entire sense of well-being is tied up in what others think of Islam. If everyone loves what they love, then they feel loved. If half the world hates Islam, then it is a personal attack against them, and people must die. Perhaps the violence feels like emotional self-defense. If Islam prevails, then they are on the winning side, and they belong, and are strong, winners. It’s the type of mentality that leads to gangs, mafia, and other ‘strong man’ societies; the weak gravitate to the strong, who rule with violence and an iron fist. Just being associated with the Strong Man makes you a winner.

They lack the emotional intelligence to stand alone, as an individual. Whether as a believer, or not. They lack the training or perspective needed to be responsible for their own reactions and emotions; instead they react to every perceived slight with anger and resentment, then blame the object of their hated for causing the hatred. They are stuck in a vicious cycle of illogic.

They are stuck in a vicious cycle of illogic.”

And there’s the rub. These cultures see self indulgent anger as normal and a strength. To hell with ‘self control’, reasoning and logic. These are revenge cultures, where any slight is remembered for generations. If one comes from cultures like this and has absolutely no concept of independent thinking, then statements such as the above is par for the course.

There are those who want to move away from that, and not be so suffocated by their religion and culture, but as we know, that often can lead to death threats and even death.

      • Karen says

Exactly. “One thousand years for revenge”. This is also so tied up in the ‘honor’ culture, where the group’s honor is at stake, not the individual’s. The individual has flourished under Western civilization. For the first time, perhaps in the history of the world, the individual has a chance to be exactly what they want to be. Group identity, group ‘honor’, group politics; these need to be thrown into the trash can.

Israel: Student gets deluge of death threats for “anti-Islam” art project
    …………………………….

Bloody barbarians. Death threats are always what savage Muslims resort to.

    More:

Another student, however, told Ynetnews “[she] wanted to receive attention by harming religion. It’s unacceptable to write things like this. To write that God is dead really harms us.”…
    …………………………….

What crap. I don’t care if one has so little faith in their own beliefs–they have no right to do violence against those of others.

This “art project” in aesthetic terms is the usual silly embarrassment–but this student had every right to create it.

I’m so glad that her university stood up for her. This probably would not have happened everywhere in the West.

The art is eloquent ……bless her…..and to think that the artist is referring only to Islam I would assume to be incorrect………..the prayer rug is so ideal for the message !! as art; however the message relates to all who ( still ) accept the ‘God’ construct for all that surrounds them and takes place….(aaaargh)….A man on the beach told me that the weather was wonderful today because ‘God’ had given it to us………ok, i guess.but not my understanding of reality.

Christ anticipated the Muslim’s mindset and their behavior when he said:

“They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.” (John 16:2-3)

Just another signal for the “easily offended brigade” to go on the rampage.
Anyone who believes in ANY of the various Gods would find the statement, “God is dead ..” offensive, and I’m sure that they would vocally express such offence, and they would be justified in doing so.

But there is only one religion that would have its adherents pour out in a swarm like a disturbed ants nest and attack the closest target they can find to assuage their blood lust when confronted with such situations.
The most extreme and barbaric attacks for the slightest of offences (some merely perceived) is common place in the world of Islam.
Such hatred is infused into their essence from birth, producing a continuous supply of ticking jihadis.

billybob, you are telling me that christianity has no control over worldly or political life in the west citing biblical verse “give to caesar what is for caesar and to god what is for god”;and that jesus said that this world is not his kingdom,as authority for separation of church from the state.i know that the genesis of to give to caesar what is for caesar and to god what is for god was that the roman kings were in control of collecting taxes from the subjects and jesus, being not in control of political power, asked the subjects to pay tithe, which is similar to zakat in islam,to him,not that his religion has nothing to do with political control.again, the verse which says jesus kingdom is in the heaven,he was showing his aspiration to inherit the throne of his father in the heaven, according to mithraist bible.this is exactly how the church interpreted these verses when it took control of political power in the christian west until its overthrow by secularist movement.it was a later concession by the church that gave rise to this your interpretation of the verses as authority for separation of religion from the state.hence abolishing moses law, which jesus said he did not come to abolish; and its application will continue to last hour.mr billybob, you can see a serious confusion in your mithraist christianity.afterall, you said the west is not a christian society.then why christian west vs islam? why christian west?lord resistance army reasserts church’s control over political power again. in islam,we have a settled position on that as you rightly stated there is no separation of state from religion.then why are you trying to impose your own perception on muslims to accept secularism?is that not an infringement of our right to practice our religion as it is?

      Hey ibrahim,

When are those violent, murderous Muslims going to stop persecuting Christians in those Muslim dominated countries?

Muslims have freedom to practice their religion in Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, etc., and are simply expected to abide by the same laws as everyone else. If there are Muslims that want to live under some form of Sharia, then they can move to S.A., or some other Muslim dominated country.

      Jan 13, 2017 at 6:10 am

Very interesting. Seems you have been listening and that you understand what I said.

“this is exactly how the church interpreted these verses when it took control of political power in the christian west until its overthrow by secularist movement.” I’m not how this statement arose from what became for it, but your complaint is, I think, that eventually the church took political control “until its overthrow by secularist movement”.

Ok – I guess we can take it from there. As I have mentioned previously, the “church” became corrupted from the moment the Roman rulers used Christianity as authority to rule. I have not expressed this well, but the “Church”, which later became the Catholic Church in the West, was a corrupt institution. This was no reflection on Christianity. This is a reflection on human nature. Human nature is that power corrupts. The scum of the earth will always seek out wealth and power, driven by greed and lust.

Christ did not seek out worldly power. Nor did he lust after women or wealth. You know that he was without sin. He was compassionate and loving and called us to love one another. You know all this. You also know that His teachings in the New Testament are a beautiful thing, even as you disparage that same book as being a corruption, something for which you have no evidence whatsoever beyond what your Quran says. In other words, there is no historical evidence whatsoever. And even if it was, the story of Christ is an inspiration – even if you want to consider it a work of fiction, I don’t care.

Here is the point Ibrahim – you see how easily I admit that the church soon became corrupted. I admit that because since the dawn of time people driven by greed and lust for wealth and power have always risen to the top, or people in a position of power have always become corrupted. Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

You know all this, and yet you think some Muslim Caliphate will bring peace and justice to the world, in spite of all evidence to the contrary all through history, In spite of the fact that every Muslim ruler to this very day has become corrupt. In spite of the fact that Muhammad himself became corrupted when he moved from Mecca to Medina and started robbing the caravans of the Meccan traders.

“hence abolishing moses law, which jesus said he did not come to abolish”

You misunderstood. Christ said: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

The Law was kept perfectly by Christ. And all its penalties against God’s sinful people were poured out on Christ. Therefore, the law is now manifestly not the path to righteousness, Christ is. The ultimate goal of the law is that we would look to Christ, not law-keeping, for our righteousness.

Romans 10:4: For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Therefore with the coming of Christ virtually everything has changed:

“you can see a serious confusion in your mithraist christianity.afterall,”

The confusion is all yours, Ibrahim.

“You said the west is not a christian society. Then why christian west vs islam?

Ibrahim – you have that backwards. it is Islam versus the West. Your religion wants to be supreme, to dominate us and make us dimmis. Sorry – don’t take offense but I don’t want to be a slave or dimmi.

“Lord resistance army” What a joke. Never mention that again. They are a band of thugs and Africa and they have nothing to do with Christianity. Their existence is meaningless to our conversation.

“in islam, we have a settled position on that as you rightly stated there is no separation of state from religion. then why are you trying to impose your own perception on muslims to accept secularism? Is that not an infringement of our right to practice our religion as it is?

Yes it is an infringement on your supposed right to practice your religion as it is. Absolutely!

Because Islam is not content to just rule over Muslims. It wants to rule over me and everybody on this forum and everybody in the world. And as stated above, it wants us all to become slaves and dimmis. Of course we are not going to allow that. Never, never, never! We will fight to the death to prevent that. We will never surrender!

More from the appalling Muslim supremacist ibrahim itace muhammed:

billybob, you (sic) are telling me that christianity (sic) has no control over worldly or political life in the west citing biblical verse “give to caesar (sic) what is for caesar (sic) and to god (sic) what is for god”;and (sic) that jesus (sic) said that this world is not his kingdom,as (sic) authority for separation of church from the state.i (sic) know that the genesis of to give to caesar (sic) what is for caesar (sic) and to god (sic) what is for god (sic) was that the roman kings were in control of collecting taxes from the subjects and jesus, (sic) being not in control of political power, asked the subjects to pay tithe, which is similar to zakat in islam,to (sic) him,not that his religion has nothing to do with political control.
      …………………………………….

What claptrap. Tithing is nothing like Zakat–Zakat goes more to fund violent Jihad than anything else.

And for Christians, the idea that Jesus was simply too weak to stand up to the Romans is absurd; if he had wanted to take over and set up a theocracy, it would not have been a problem–but that was never his goal.

      More:

again, the (sic) verse which says jesus (sic) kingdom is in the heaven,he (sic) was showing his aspiration to inherit the throne of his father in the heaven, according to mithraist (sic) bible.
      …………………………………….

And muhammed shows again that he understands nothing about Christianity. With the Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one–it is not as though Jesus is lounging around Heaven waiting for the old man to kick off so that he can ascend the throne.

      More:

this (sic) is exactly how the church interpreted these verses when it took control of political power in the christian (sic) west until its overthrow by secularist movement.
      …………………………………….

And muhammed shows that he knows no more about history than he does about Christianity. The church *never* “took control of political power in the christian west”–the church was an important power, but there were *always* secular powers–kings, emperors, independent cities–there was never a real theocracy in the Christian West.

This Wikipedia article gives a broad general sense of things in the Medieval period in Europe:

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_and_state_in_medieval_Europe

Christendom was never a single political entity.

      More:

it (sic) was a later concession by the church that gave rise to this your interpretation of the verses as authority for separation of religion from the state.hence (sic) abolishing moses law, which (sic) jesus (sic) said he did not come to abolish; and its application will continue to last hour.
      …………………………………….

Jesus never said he came to enforce Mosaic law, either. Again, muhammed is incapable of envisioning a world not warped by the bloody horror of Shari’ah law.

      More:

mr (sic) billybob, you can see a serious confusion in your mithraist (sic) christianity.afterall, you (sic) said the west is not a christian (sic) society.then why christian (sic) west vs islam? why christian (sic) west?
      …………………………………….

Again, muhammed cannot understand religion in any sense other than that of Islam. Christianity has been *enormously* influential in the creation of the West, morally and culturally–that does not mean that it has ever been a single political power.

And it is Islam that has targeted the Christian West–not the Christian West that has targeted Islam. But then, Muslims target *all* Infidels.

      More:

lord (sic) resistance (sic) army (sic) reasserts church’s control over political power again.
      …………………………………….

Citing the Lord’s Resistance Army as mainstream Christianity is just ludicrous. They receive support from not a single Christian denomination. As of 2011, they had 300-400 members, and their leader Joseph Kony was in hiding. Uganda does not recognize them, and few Ugandans support their goals. No one but his followers accept Kony as a “prophet”.

This terrorist group has been involved in murder, abduction, mutilation, child-sex slavery, and uses child soldiers. There is absolutely nothing “Christian” about this terrorist group.

But it *is* notable that muhammed would believe this to be genuine Christianity–probably because it so closely resembles the horrors of Islam.

      More:

in (sic) islam,we (sic) have a settled position on that as you rightly stated there is no separation of state from religion.then (sic) why are you trying to impose your own perception on muslims (sic) to accept secularism?is (sic) that not an infringement of our right to practice our religion as it is?
      …………………………………….

As Muslims see it, they have their right to practice their religion “infringed upon” if they are unable to conquer, enslave, and mass-slaughter Infidels.

Are you an Infidel living in freedom? Then, you are “infringing” Muslims’ “right” to practice their bloody creed…

Ibrahim, Billybob has provided you with an eloquent, informed, and enlightened response which is also irrefutable. I will not take the time to supplement his points, but rather to expand on his ending.

Muslims are outraged at an Israeli student’s right to protest through her art form? Such an irony! The Koran and other Islamic literature need to be challenged on legal grounds for being hate literature. Many Europeans have been silenced for fear of being charged with hate speech. A political leader, Geert Wilders, was recently found guilty of a so-called hate crime when he asked in a speech if more or fewer Moroccans should be allowed into the Netherlands. [Moroccan immigrants have been given safe haven, and in return they have created much social unrest .] Apparently, Europeans do not have full rights of freedom of speech, and the Moroccans have become a scourge of ingratitude. Both conditions will change.

Voices such as Wilders will never be silenced. Nor will the Israeli student be silenced. Nor will there be any repression of our First Amendment rights here in the US. Such people as Billybob will ever be diligent in speaking out against social evils. Radical Islam has become a social evil.

Beware, Ibrahim, that we are also armed with the Second Amendment, and if challenged, Americans will not hesitate to invoke those rights too!

They better get used to it. We will no longer walk the streets in fear of possible offense.
we will make our point instead as we should.
Art is free en not religious except when it is so called religious art.
In that respect, all cultures have their religious art.
to get interpreted as offensive is not the same as to provoke.
we must continue to make all efforts to make clear to the other side that they don’t have any monopoly on religion.
    All start with respect.

It would certainly have a cast of millions* and would probably be welcomed by the Vatican, leftie liberals and western politicians. But who would play Aisha and would that be a tad controversial-a 9 year old child playing the role of a forcibly married woman? What about the other wives in that polygamous household ?I can think of a few well known Hollywood female actresses who would surely love to play such roles.
And who would play “allah”?pope francis??He’d be an ideal candidate as he is a marvellous actor: he has shown us his acting skills in his pretensious love of the poor and in his most famous role to date-pretending to be a Christian.
Due to the nature of the extreme violence, polygamous perversion, child abuse, slavery and other unsavory aspects of the story, would it need a Restricted or X-rating?
    Probably so,probably so.
