We are constantly told that the Islamic State and other jihad groups have nothing whatsoever to do with Islam. So why are these Muslim clerics refusing to pray for those who have been killed while fighting against Islamic jihadists?
“Jordan dismisses 15 mosque preachers in wake of IS attack,” Associated Press, January 10, 2017 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
AMMAN, Jordan – Jordan’s Religious Affairs Ministry says it has dismissed 15 mosque preachers and is disciplining seven for refusing to pray for the souls of Jordanian troops killed in recent gun battles with Islamic militants.
Eleven members of the security forces were killed Dec. 18 and 20 in the Jordanian province of Karak. A Canadian tourist and two Jordanian civilians were also killed, along with five gunmen. The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the initial attack….
Some mosque preachers in Jordan are followers of an ultraconservative stream of Islam that also serves as the ideological foundation of IS.

Once again, Jordan seems to be the best run of all essentially
muslim states.
Saw a TV interview with their king, the most impressive interview with
a political figure from that region I’ve ever seen.

I come from the region and know it well. Jordanians have become very radicalised compared to other Arabs and its because of the king. The government allowed the Islamists to be in charge of the media and education system for so long. I mixed with young men and women (western looks, no hijab or beard) but they are as radicalised as Baghdadi of the Islamic State. This explains to me why the Jordanians are usually the first to go to the streets to protest against what they see as an offence.
I had a look at some of the school books …and I was shocked!
Jordan has the lowest rate of ex muslims, far lower than Saudi Arabia!
If only one leader needed to be changed it is king Abdullah, more so than Mubarak or Bin Ali of Tunisia. But of course the king is the West’s darling.
c matt says
Interesting. Is it your impression the expulsion is just for show? Seems a pretty gutsy move to expel the Imams. Heck, that’s more than what all (current) western leaders combined have done.
Keith Gilbert says
imams are ‘commander’ and now they will become refugees…arriving in different refugee centers with a mission…not their own but islam!

You are right, Salim…Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Egypt’s muslim brotherhood, the so-called Libyan “rebels” and Syrian “rebels” are all allied with the US and yet all of them are the deadliest type of radical islamists! What could be behind this trend, Salim? Why are the US allies in the ME are always the most barbaric jihadists in the region?

After seeing King Abdullah’s response to the horrifying death of his Air Force pilot, I turned to my hubby and asked, “Can he be our king?”
For some reason Pres. Obama wouldn’t seem to do much to assist the Jordanians against IS. I believe what they wanted was weapons and bandages only. They would do the fighting.
salim says
….(I believe what they wanted was weapons and bandages only. They would do the fighting
What they want is desire to fight IS.
Jordan has one of the best equipped armies in the region. They can fight IS if they wished but they are more interested in fighting the Syrian government (because its allied to Russia).
If you like Abdullah to be your king I Suggest you go and live in Jordan. Under him the country gets worse every year.
Keith Gilbert says
It’s all for show…islam is islam…this is just a manifestation of islamic duplicity and deceit.

Why stop short of demanding no less than apostasy?
Angemon says
How does this “ultraconservative stream” differ from the mainstream variety?
Michael Copeland says
It will be the “stream” that does “exactly what this book says”.
Greyhound Fancier says
And exactly what the “prophet” did. 🙁
Islam the religion of killers says
All those men on mats ?
Who are the one’s at the front sniffing ???
Maurits says
Allah is a fabrication and the Prophet never existed. Islam is fake.
Islam is the most deadly poison that mankind has ever taken. It should be eradicated rigorously, in Europe, the USA and throughout the world, before it’s too late, it is ten seconds to twelve now.
Voytek Gagalka says
Consistency and logic is the biggest Achilles’ heel of Islam. They say that ISIS has “nothing to do with Islam” but at the same time the grand mufti of Al-Azhar refuses to condemn ISIS because they rise the black flag of Mohammed (with shahada). So “nothing to do with Islam” can transforms itself instantly to “everything to do with Islam,” depending on circumstances. How convenient!

At first I couldn’t tell the difference – which was the bag of garbage and which was the woman in a burka?

I THINK the larger one was the bag of garbage.

That should be a lesson to all Muslims. “Mosque preachers” pray for jihadis (bad guys) because their views are for supporting what is prescribed by their faith.
If Muslims want peace and harmony, they won’t be able to change Islam’s attitude in this century.
Sadly, if there are Muslims who regard jihadis as evil, they do so at their own risks.
linnte says
Excellent! Good for Jordan.

They keep telling us how ISIS is distorting Islam but these imams who are supposed to be experts in Islam are proving the opposite.
Isn’t this ammunition we can use to tell our “exert in Islam” leaders how they are wrong?
Cleanseignorace says
Moderate Muslims are simply a creation and fantasy of western leaders, as an excuse not to deal with the Islamism and killings of innocent people. There is absolutely no such thing as moderation in Islam, not to mention that a moderate Muslim even exists . They are all KILLERSS. And you are absolutely right, about testing the kafir and then adjusting, to being moderate or hardcore depending on the kefirs reaction. NEVER TRUST A MUSLIM. THEY WILL SLIT YOUR THROAT IN A SECOND, IF YOU DO.

Hi everyone. Been very busy over the past several weeks. Happy New Year, belatedly. My comment is related to Islam in general. I just read that when Twentieth Century Fox was filming “Cleopatra” with Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton back in the 1960s, the government of Egypt did not want to let Elizabeth Taylor in because she was Jewish. BUT they changed their minds when they realized how many millions of American dollars Egypt would get due to American tourists. Sounds like they deviated from the Quran! How curious.
Jean Terry says
She married Eddie Fisher who was a Jew. I think that was her relationship to Judaism. Not the point though. Yes, they are flexible when it comes to getting our money. In this culture lying is fine, especially as a means to an end. Just as Arafat said one thing to our leaders and another to his people. What gets me is the apparent stupidity of world leaders. They are allowing to happen what the Muslims want to happen. Being infiltrated and believing the lies. Europe especially will be sorry one day.
Linde Barrera says
To Jean Terry- Yes, you are correct. World leaders are so dumb when it comes to Islam. Disgusting.
Terry says
Not only world leaders- but religious leaders; and people in government at all levels.
Look at Sen Blumenthat (D/Liar -Conn) questioning Jeff Sessions.
( paraphrasing the questions) David Horowitz said more African Americans are in prison because they commit the most crimes. Do you disavow that? (Hey, isn’t that the truth? highest crime areas are usually African American areas).
David Horowitz said that 70% of the mosques in America preach hatred of Jews. Do you disavow that?
Sen Sessions, to his credit- did not rise to the bait. he merely said that eh is not responsible for everything that Mr. Horowitz says.
Blumenthat also raised two ” large contributions ( then said $1,000 each- in different years) from people who he (Blumenthal) said had “extremest views.”. Blumenthat then asked if he had a comment about that. Sessions said no- ask them why they contributed to his campaigns.
Amazing.
(And Dems were questioning the potential head of the CIA about global warming. His response ( paraphrasing) was great-his job and that of the CIA is to protect Americans. He is not a scientist.
The politicians are effing crazy
Terry says
Two points.
A Jordanian member of Parliament said that BDS harms Arabs ( read M. E. muslims) more then Israel.
And, someone else form the Jordanian government said that Jordan will invest some $11 billion in Israeli stocks and government bonds- as they look to be good investments.
