Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Obama: “Unfettered support for Israel” hurts “prospects for peace”

Jan 12, 2017 6:57 am By Christine Douglass-Williams

Obama is still accusing Israel of being the barrier to peace, as he refers to “Netanyahu’s government policies” with regards to “Israeli settlements.” He even went so far as to imply that friendship with Israel is adding to the problem:

“If that’s what qualifies as a good friend, then I think that we will see a worsening situation over time.”

Nowhere does Obama condemn the goal of Hamas, the PA and Fatah: to obliterate the state of Israel, as stated in their charters. Nowhere does he refer to the fact that Israel has already given back 96 percent of the lands it won in past defensive wars. He says nothing about the fact that these concessions only emboldened Israel’s jihadist enemies to attack innocent Israelis even more.

Netanyahu has accused the Obama administration of colluding with the Palestinians when it abstained last month from voting on a U.N. Security Council resolution condemning settlements. On Tuesday, Netanyahu reiterated that claim, saying Israel had “solid information” that proved the U.S. was behind the drafting of the resolution.

Right after the passing of the UN anti-settlement Resolution 2334, leaked documents revealed that the resolution was was orchestrated by the Obama administration. As Obama packs up to leave the White House, he leaves behind a legacy of betraying Israel and rallying support for the Palestinian jihad. As the clock ticks on his presidency, let’s hope Obama’s propensity to lash out against Israel does not lead to still more rash actions. Remember that the virulently anti-Semitic former President Jimmy Carter called on Obama to unilaterally recognise Palestinian statehood before leaving office.

“Obama Warns Against Support for Israeli Settlements”, New York Times, January 10, 2017:

JERUSALEM — U.S. President Barack Obama warned in an interview broadcast Tuesday that “unfettered support” for Israel’s settlement policies would lead to a “worsening situation” over time between Israelis and Palestinians.

The interview with Israeli TV program “Uvda” comes 10 days before Obama, who has been an outspoken critic of Israeli settlements, hands over to President-elect Donald Trump, who is expected to pursue a starkly different approach to the conflict. Trump’s election has buoyed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his pro-settler government.

“If the notion is that unfettered support for Israel or more specifically support for the Netanyahu government’s policies — no matter what they are, no matter how inimical they may be to the prospects for peace — if that’s what qualifies as a good friend, then I think that we will see a worsening situation over time,” Obama said during the interview, filmed in Washington last week.

The White House has denied the allegations, and Israel has not publicly provided evidence to back them up.

Obama defended the abstention in the interview, saying “I believe it was the best move for peace.”

Nearly 600,000 settlers now live in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, territories the Palestinians want as part of a future state. Much of the international community as well as the Palestinians view settlements as illegitimate and an obstacle to peace. Netanyahu routinely dismisses international criticism of the settlements, saying the conflict predates them.

While Trump has indicated a willingness to help broker peace, his election platform did not mention a Palestinian state and he has taken steps that show he plans to side with Israel. He has appointed an ambassador to Israel with deep ties to the settlements and he has pledged to relocate the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, a move likely to enflame tensions and anger the Palestinians….

What he means by peace is dominance for Islam. Obama has demonstrated through his rhetoric and his actions he is a rabid antisemite

I agree Richie… his “peace sign” and the tolerant persona is the deception, he knows he can flash, without detection to the western world and U.S. leaders without knowing that they will be conquered soon but not understood by the west as danger sign. So we are entering the most dangerous time. With all the muslim brotherhood support groups playing their part as peaceful, but funding jihad, as another prominent conservative is bent on destroying his rival, that would only accommodate our enemy.

Unfettered support for anyone, including Israel, is a recipe for disaster. If you want to be the arbiter of a deal, you have to be evenhanded. With all the disinformation and fake news swirling around mid-east machinations, it is nearly impossible to figure out. Of course, Obama’s “support” has been hardly “unfettered”. And at the other extreme, there are the Ted “Israel can do no wrong” Cruzes. Good luck brokering a deal.

Obama said many years ago that the future must not belong to those who slander Islam.

He is just living up to his words here – hence why he does not denounce the PA or Hamas.

Much easier for him, true to his character, to blame Israel and the Jews.

He is following sharia law, from the legal doctrine that is sharia and hides behind slander laws that would expose, it is not a religion. It does not get a pass, nor should the constitutional quoting/ sharia law quoting muslim brotherhood revolutionary. Charming and clever.

Yes, unfettered support for Palestine is a much better option.
They have made it blatantly clear that all hate for Jews will vanish as soon as the two-state solution becomes a reality. There will be no more anti-semitic indoctrination of their children, Hamas will be history, and instead of Jihad there will be love and unity with their Jewish neighbours.
If only Israel would let down their guard…it won’t be a trojan horse…honestly…

To Barry, “peace” is often a synonym for “Islam” which in fact means “pacification” or “submission.”

U.S. abstention on the un* resolution engineered by Barry’s cabal was certainly intended to further the interests of Islamic totalitarianism.

      *Capitals not warranted.

Like all other moslims, he speaks in *code* as they have their own…wrong…definition of words, as the one you mentioned…”peace” does not mean the peace that non devil worshippers do. Putting islam where he said peace, fits what he really meant.

Abstaining was actually a yes vote.

Well Obama will live to see Jerusalem being made the capital of Israel. This will surely get his goat, but the muslim will not be in a position to do anything. More so he will have to tread very carefully

Isaiah wrote that people would call *bad* good and *good* bad.
Isaiah 5:20 says *woe or sorrow* will come to those calling evil good and good evil, calling bitter sweet and sweet is bitter, saying light is dark and dark is light.

There is no future for liars. God says they will end in the pit of no return, the lake of fire and sulfur..

I hope with all my heart that the US moves its embassy to Jerusalem. That would surely vex Obama and set his “legacy” off.
Unfortunately, IMHO, Obama is not just quietly going away. He’s not a friend to our allies, and much less to Israel. He has reneged on all US previous agreements and standing policy and subscribed wholeheartedly to the PAs revisionism. The latest betrayal before the UN 2334 was dismissing the Bush-Sharon letter in 2009 after he took office and changing the standing policy with Israel. No wonder Netanyahu was so demoralized and upset. Pulled the rug from under him and preferred to believe and espouse the lies.
Obama is a smart man in the prime of his life who has been schooled and groomed in a deathly ideology for years. His ideology is what drives him to act no matter what or who gets in the way. Look at his actions in the last 8 years. He doesn’t even see that those actions have basically destroyed his own party and he cared nothing about the trust the American people and the world community had deposited in him. Yet, he believes if he had run instead of Hillary, he would have won. He wasn’t ready to quit. He sees no consequences to his actions and the repudiation of the people. Now that he has tasted what it feels like to be king of the world manipulating governments and people in the US and abroad, he is not going to retire. He also has plenty of money and backers. There is so much to do!
His ideology is very similar to the caliphate’s. Look at how well he fit in with the EUs open borders and mass immigration delusion. World domination = NWO. In his own eyes, he is invincible and he has a cause and mission. Let’s not be deceived.

Ibrahim – how do you justify this?

The Muslim armies consolidated their conquest of the Levant as Shurhabil and Amr went deeper into Palestine after the decisive Battle of Fahl. Bet She’an surrendered after a little resistance followed by the surrender of Tiberias in February 635. Caliph Umar, after having received the position and strength of the Byzantine army in Palestine, wrote detailed instructions to corps commanders in Palestine and ordered Yazid to capture the Mediterranean coast.

The corps of Amr and Shurhabil accordingly marched against the strongest Byzantine garrison in Ajnadyn and defeated them in the 2nd Battle of Ajnadyn after which the two corps separated, with Amr moving to capture Nablus, Amawas, Gaza and Yubna in order to complete the conquest of all Palestine, while Shurahbil moved against the coastal towns of Acre and Tyre. Yazid advanced from Damascus to capture the ports of Sidon, Arqa, Byblos and Beirut. By 635 AD, Palestine, Jordan and Southern Syria, with the exception of Jerusalem and Caesarea, were in Muslim hands. On the orders of Caliph Umar, Yazid next besieged Caesarea, which was lifted but resumed after the Battle of Yarmouk until the port fell in 640.

The Siege of Jerusalem was part of a military conflict which took place in the year 637 between the Byzantine Empire and the Rashidun Caliphate. It began when the Rashidun army, under the command of Abu Ubaidah, besieged Jerusalem in November 636. After six months, the Patriarch Sophronius agreed to surrender, on condition that he submit only to the Rashidun caliph. In April 637, Caliph Umar traveled to Jerusalem in person to receive the submission of the city. The Patriarch thus surrendered to him.

The Muslim conquest of the city solidified the Arab control over Palestine, control which would not again be threatened until the First Crusade in the late 11th century. Thus, it came to be regarded as a holy site by Islam, as well as by Christianity and Judaism. This stabilized control of Palestina Prima. In 613, the Jewish revolt against the Byzantine Heraclius culminated with the conquest of Jerusalem in 614 by Persian and Jewish forces and establishment of Jewish autonomy. The revolt ended with the departure of the Persians and an eventual massacre of the Jews in 629 by the Byzantines ending 15 years of Jewish autonomy.

Following the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem, Jews were once again allowed to live and practice their religion in Jerusalem, 8 years after their massacre by the Byzantines and nearly 500 years after their expulsion from Judea by the Roman Empire.

The Muslim invaders have no business in Jerusalem nor the surrounding lands.

billybob,it is good that you stated the historical events that palestine, which include jerussalem, was under roman and persion occupation who carried out massacre of jews and expelled them from jerussalem until when muslim army under caliph umar and his predecessors terminated byzantine rule over jerussalem and allowed jews to retun and stayed with palestinians with with whom they were living together as jews and gentile christians.we are not saying jews have no right to stay together with palestinians, whether christians or muslims.we are saying jews have no exclusive ownership of jerussalem as zionist liars are claiming thereby expelling palestinians from east jerussalem and errect jewish settlements for the whole of jerussalem to be the capital of jewish state contrary to multilateral treaty of pratition contained in un resolution no. 181.that un resolution no. 181 created two states, palestine and israel ,each with portion of jerussalem as part of its territory.note, the majority of palestinians hitherto gentile christians became muslims on muslim conquest ;and the holy aqsa mosque from where prophet muhammad made that miraclous journey falls under palestinian territory.you are therefore wrong to say that muslims have no concern with east jerussalem mostly inhabited by palestinian muslims where aqsa mosque is located.the so-called british mandate giving control of aqsa mosque to jordan cannot override un resolution no. 181 putting the location of aqsa mosque into palestinian territory.during the 1967 israel annexed palestinian portion of jerussalem and other parts of palestine.hence,un resolution no. 242 requring israel to push back to pre-1967 borders.i think i debunked israeli claim that un resolution no. 242 justified its annexation of palestinian land for secured and defensible borders.i said this is wrong interpretation of the resolution. it is also wrong to say it was muslim conquest that brought palestinian arabs to the land.from where? i challenge any one with this notion to prove it with cogent and archeological historical evidence.the jews could not do so.

Well you have me at a disadvantage. I am not well educated on the subject of UN Resolutions, nor the history of the region. If there is strong jurisprudence in favor of the Palestinians on this issue I am sure it will prevail – in spite of Donald Trump.

Only I think the Palestinians have a no claim over the site of the Aqsa Mosque. Muhammad’s night journey on a winged donkey named Baraq was just a fantasy he invented to try and get some credibility. How can anyone possibly take that seriously? Did anyone witness this fantastic journey? Of course not, because it never happened. There is absolutely no evidence. It was all a dream, or at best, the vivid imagination of a schemer. You cannot make a claim on a piece of land by traveling there on a winged donkey in a dream. That is not the way credible claims are made.
