Jihad Watch

Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

PA threatens to cut US ties, turn to UN if US embassy moves to Jerusalem

Jan 24, 2017 12:55 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams

Appeasement of jihadists and jihadist states does not work. It strengthens their resolve against the House of War and weakens democratic interests and those of human rights.

History and hard archeological evidence proves Israel’s full right to its land. History also reveals Israel’s need to defend itself against obliteration by jihadist thugs and the necessity of ignoring and rejecting the global voices that strengthen jihadists against it.

As much as every Westerner wants peace, jihadists do not. It’s time that the West stops appeasing jihadists while hoping for peace in return. The Arab Muslim states that surround Israel have repeatedly tried to destroy Israel militarily. Nor is the jihad imperative limited to Israel. “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people” is an accurate description of jihadist ambitions. Thus the news that Nasser al-Kidwa, a Fatah central committee member, has threatened to downgrade US ties if America moves its embassy to Jerusalem, should come as no surprise. America can, in fact, expect more conflict with jihad entities now that Obama’s policy of appeasement has ended. But appeasement leads only to full surrender.

President Mahmoud Abbas, added that the Palestinian leadership should also declare, in the event that US President Donald Trump follows through with his campaign promise to move the embassy, that the US is no longer a broker in the Middle East peace process and turn to the UN.

“Fatah official: Palestinian leadership should downgrade US ties if embassy moved”, by Adam Rasgon, Jerusalem Post, January 23, 2017:

The Palestinian leadership should downgrade its diplomatic ties with the United States if the American embassy is relocated from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a top Fatah official said on Monday.

“If that [the relocation of the embassy] takes place, the Palestinian side would have to sever its ties with the official staff of the illegal US Embassy in Jerusalem. In addition to that, there is the issue of the Palestinian political representative’s office in Washington; it would also be necessary to close [it],” Nasser al-Kidwa, a Fatah central committee member, told Al-Quds, a Palestinian daily newspaper, clarifying that the relocation the of the US Embassy would leave the Palestinians with “no other choice.”

The Palestinian leadership and the US have had a close relationship since the establishment of the PA in the early 1990s, to which the US has sent hundreds of millions of dollars in aid.

Kidwa, who is considered a contender to succeed PA President Mahmoud Abbas, added that the Palestinian leadership should also declare, in the event that US President Donald Trump follows through with his campaign promise to move the embassy, that the US is no longer a broker in the Middle East peace process and turn to the UN.

“It would be necessary for the Palestinian side to make clear that it no longer officially considers the United States an interlocutor and that it cannot cooperate with it directly or through the Quartet,” Kidwa stated, adding that it would also be imperative “to go to the Security Council to raise a complaint against the United States of America.”

In every round of bilateral negotiations, including the most recent talks mediated by former secretary of state John Kerry, the US has been the primary peace broker between the Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams.

The Palestinian leadership launched a campaign two weeks ago to mobilize the international community against the relocation of the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

Abbas sent a letter to Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, UK Prime Minister Theresa May and many other world leaders, warning that moving the embassy would have “destructive” consequences for the region’s stability and the two-state solution.

Abbas also met with King Abdullah in Jordan on Sunday to discuss the possible relocation of the American embassy.

According to Wafa, the official PA news site, Abbas said that he and Abdullah agreed to take a series of coordinated steps if the US relocates its embassy…

The point about saving a pile of money should be made, over and over.

“Millions for defence; **not a penny for tribute**” … so said Jefferson, when he realized that it was time to STOP paying ‘tribute’/ bribes/ payola to the Muslim Barbary Pirate extortionists and blackmailers and, instead, put the money into creating a Navy with which to protect US merchant shipping from Muslim attack.

Any chance that the slime, I mean Palestinians, will return the $221,000,000 (two hundred and twenty one million dollars) that Obama ordered sent to them, hours before he was no longer Pres.?

And, as to the appeal to the Useless Nations and other world leaders- Pres. Trump–nice to type that- has indicated that he does not care that much about their views–as he said in his inaugural speech, AMERICA FIRST.

And Sen Cruz has introduced-I hope it goes through- for the US to defund the Useless Nations. Let Iran and SA and the 56 OIC fund it. And support the “Palestinians”- who were Arabs, then became “Palestinians”.

And if Soros (may he die- and quickly-one of the most evil men of the 20th and 21st century) and other lefties with shit for brains but a lot of money to to give to it- fine. Just don’t let it be tax deductible.

Also, limit the UN reps to just the New York city area so that they don’t go around committing treason against the US. Better yet, build them an isolated area somewhere and keep them there.

Possible know that the world and the US (and Israel) is safer. Abbas (and/or his cronies) will have less money to spend on themselves and their friends, and the pittance they give to their people, and for arms.

A few years ago, the EU found, doing a “routine audit” that somewhere between $3 and 6 billion or so (not sure if dollars or Euros- either way, a lot of money) was “missing” or “misspent”.

Anyone know the definitions of corruption; embezzlement; thievery? (Yasser Arafat-before he died of AIDS); Abbas and the PA are three that (my view) fit the definitions.

A large proportion of Phakestinians are of non-Arab and in even non-Muslim descent, hence their crippled Arabic and their non-Arab, Mediterranean customs.

Phakestinians famously cannot pronounce the Arabic Q sound in “Al-Quds” (Arabic name given to Jerusalem) and say “Al-‘uds” instead.

You mean the Christian Palestinians? The Arab ones are just migrants from Arabia or from areas outside the Palestine Mandate of 1922. The accent thing is problematic because Englishmen from England speak with different accents than their kin who migrated to Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.

After all: paying them heaps of money hasn’t done one iota toward ‘peace’.

      The jihad continues regardless.

So: cut off the entirely wasted bribes/ jizya/ tribute/ danegeld-by-any-other-name, and redirect the cash toward homeland security and our own infidel militaries.

*Every* western country that currently pays any kind of ‘aid’ to the ‘Palestinian Authority’ or any *other* Islamic entity, should STOP. NOW. That money given to Muslims is NOT received with gratitude, but with an arrogant sense of entitlement. It allows Muslims to engage in jihad all the more readily. (Which is what the jizya from Dhimmi populations was used for, back in the day, as well).

      Cut the bastards off.

    Jan 24, 2017 at 1:32 pm

As positive and as promising as a Trump presidency is, he has made two outstanding claims which cannot, even in an imperfect way, be accomplished:

    1) Trump said: “We should keep the oil” re: the areas controlled by ISIS. Of course this doesn’t make sense unless he’s talking about heavily armed oil rigs, shipping lanes across land, harbors — and on and on — with a massive, permanent military force on the land with no end in sight as the oil is pumped from the ground and shipped to the US. This statement doesn’t make any sense economically or militarily. He needs to drop it.

    2) Trump said: “My son-in-law can bring peace to the Middle East” re: Jared Kushner. Of course this doesn’t make any sense. Unless he’s going to help organize the complete clear out of moslems from ALL areas which are Israel’s — followed by helping out somehow in a complete and devastating defeat of all moslem countries until they are so wiped out that they give up completely as there is no hope. No mercy and nothing spared. Even then, they have only given up until there appears to be some chance — so they must be left with no hope or chance in sight. So if those are the things Trump has in mind for Kushner to have a hand in, maybe there can be be some peace in the Middle East for a decade or two.

Trump said that if his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, can’t broker a peace deal between Israel and the “Palestinians,” no one can. Well, I doubt that Kushner or anyone else can accomplish this, for reasons that have been endlessly articulated on this website by Robert Spencer, et al. As Hugh Fitzgerald has stated repeatedly here, jihad cannot be stopped entirely, but it can be managed. And Israel has been, and remains, far too accommodating toward her implacable Muslim enemies, which further embolden them. Evidently, or so it seems, at least, Israeli leaders are still largely clueless about Islam’s jihad imperative, its belief that a territory remains Muslim in perpetuity, even if retaken from dar al-Islam; the Koranic view of Jews and of Al-wala wa al-bara (loyalty and enmity); taqiyya, kitman; Sunna, and the significance of the hudna and the Treaty of Hubaidiyya. Wise up, chaveri.

The PLO made up their own narrative. Does anyone remember when Arafat stood in the UN and declared that he was offering an olive branch or a gun? That’s the stance of a thug!! He threatened the entire world and appeasement was born. The Arab world and their resolve to subyugate only got stronger and stronger. Under the semblance of victimhood they take advantage and move their jihad forward. And we remain in the dark. That was the beginning of the illegitimate Pallis rhetoric and victimhood that has plagued us ever since. The Pallis never existed as a people and yet through the gullibility of the West and our desire to appease–and the UN, the Vatican, many evangelical churches and the world at large continue to kowtow and try to change everything we fought for to accommodate their self declared victimhood. Do we ask questions? Do we challenge their claims out in the open? Seems that anyone who tries to speak out is vilified. We must ask: has the appeasement strategy changed anything? No, it has emboldened them and the lies have continued to become stronger, more outrageous and pervasive.
Today, there is a generation of people who don’t even know that there is a Magna Carta establishing the borders of land of Israel forever. Additionally, the Mandate of Palestine and the San Remo Resolution clearly stated the land was given to Jewish People to set up their State and reconstitute their historical roots. This statement is not made in any part of the Mandate for any other country.
Jordan is the land ceded to the Arab Palestinians, and it was carved out of the land originally mandated to establish the Jewish National Home. So 78% of the land was given to Jordan. Still, they want the 22% that is Israel today.
So I say to the PA. Good riddance. You have lied to and milked the world long enough. Go to Jordan and get a job. Build a life. You’ll be happier among your own.
But if you continue in your quest, you will meet Allah sooner than you thought.
    We have had enough!

Abbas also met with King Abdullah in Jordan on Sunday to discuss the possible relocation of the American embassy.

According to Wafa, the official PA news site, Abbas said that he and Abdullah agreed to take a series of coordinated steps if the US relocates its embassy…

If Abdullah acts belligerently, I strongly suggest Israel rescind its agreement to allow Jordan to retain its role of custodian of the two mosques on the Temple Mount, a role that never should have been granted to hostile Jordan in the first place. I would also suggest closing both mosques, turning them into museums. Let all non-Muslims enter these citadels of hate, with their (according to Abbas) “filthy feet,” while Muslims seethe.

If America is going to reaffirm Israel as an ally then this works out for the best in our interests. Israel was always told by God to purge the land all through the old testament history. This time (in 1948) they didn’t and this is the result of that. If the Palestinians find that they cannot get a two state solution nor live peaceably within and with the Israeli’s than maybe it would be better for them to go back to their Arab countrymen and assimilate in those countries.

PA threatens to cut US ties, turn to UN if US embassy moves to Jerusalem

Seems like the PA can’t tell the difference between a “threat” and “encouragement”…

Abbas sent a letter to Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, UK Prime Minister Theresa May and many other world leaders, warning that moving the embassy would have “destructive” consequences for the region’s stability and the two-state solution.

So, what’s the angle on that one? Are Putin, Theresa May and the others supposed to tell Trump not to go through with it?

Sounds like a good deal to me. We cannot justify funding the PA. We never could. We now have someone in the White House that hopefully understands this. Let the Palestinians get their funding from Saudi Arabia and if the Saudis can’t find it in their hearts to pick up the tab, then oh well. It’s simply perverse for any western country to be funding the Palestinians while they support Hamas, reward terrorism, and openly incite and indoctrinate successive generations to hatred of jews and non-muslims in general. Hopefully the days of our leadership looking the other way are over.

    • Custos Custodum says

      Jan 24, 2017 at 6:00 pm

Why does everyone assume these guys need “funding”?

It wouldn’t be because for decades, they have intentionally been breeding faster than they can earn?

    • Oliver says

      Jan 24, 2017 at 7:36 pm

I had read, a few months ago, that the Saudis cut their funding to the PA because of the theft of prior aid.

And that money given was also used for tunnels and arms and violence, not to help people.

Don’t know if the Saudis reversed or not.

And, why go to Jordan? Jordan is not one of the wealthiest countries. Abbas probably is losing it.

      • Custos Custodum says

        Jan 24, 2017 at 10:11 pm

How can the Saudis even tell that the money they gave to the Phakistinian thieves was “stolen”?

The Saudis wire money and Phaki bigwigs buy Ukrainian hookers, German luxury cars and beach front properties in Cyprus and Spain. How would the ultimate destination of the money be different if the money had not been “stolen”?

        • Oliver says

          Jan 24, 2017 at 11:58 pm

Two possible ways off of the top of my head

          One
          An audit and inspection
The Saudis might not be the smartest
But they can easily hire brains
And on other areas I have heard that they do

          Next
. some of their aid might have specific earmarks. And a visual inspection sees not accomplished
          A third way
Bribe the people. Lower level. Working for the Palestinians leaders
          For where the money goes

    • Guest says

And thus functioning as just one more reason to: 1) despise the UN (Useless Nations); 2) not have America contribute any more money to the UN unless it formally rescinds its latest anti-Israel Resolution, Resolution 2334; 3) have the General Assembly move its headquarters to an “enlightened” city like Pyongyang, Tehran, Beijing, Harare, or Moscow (oh, please let this happen); and/or 4) have the US actually withdraw from the UN, very public and up front like, which would have the effect, a pure viewing pleasure I might add, of seeing Lefties, Muzzies, RINOS and other limited, often vile, people going into hysterics.

The Palis are big bucks ahead right now. It seems that Obama slipped $221,000,000 to them on his last day in the Oval Office. So, right now, they’re well stocked with U.S. bucks.
Even to the point that they threaten to break contact with USA! Do they mean they will “allow us” to save our own money? Just think, they will “break” relations with us and hurt our feelings, which may help us pay-off our national debt if they never again beg at our front door. Sounds like an inadvertent good deal to me!
Let them go to their brethren at the UN, that fake organization receives about 22% of its operating expense from the USA, its largest contributor. Let the Palis go to that bad excuse for a world representing operation. Since Obama did some fancy-footwork in routing millions of U.S. dollars to the PA, the pathetically poor Palis in Syria, Turkey, and other camps on Muslim/Arab lands will surely not receive any financial help in those lands, as they languish away from their West Bank and Gaza territoroes as the forgotten Arabs that Islam uses only when it needs a few jihadis. .
Of course they could go to the peace table with Israel (Oh, my God!), with whom they almost made peace many times, only to choke at the final minutes. Obviously, because Abbas considered he hadn’t yet spirited enough money out of the PA treasury….at least not to the grand total that Arafat had skimmed, that went into French banks until he died. You know, records are made to be surpassed! Money skimmed from Arab governments by Arab offialdom are the Arab sport of choice,.

Americans in the know aren’t interested in having ties to a people who handed out candy and danced in the streets over 9/11.

The day we can classify Islam as a geopolitical movement disguised as a religion in the U.S. – thus being able to ban it – is when I’ll hand out candy, too.

That is what Trump should have his people work on – reclassifying Islam as not a religion.

If Obama can try to create a “race” category out of Muslims then Trump should be able to de-classify Islam as a recognized religion in the U.S.

    • Jay L. Stern says

There are 7 tests to answer the question, “What is a religion?” Islam flunks at least four of them. It is a cult, not a religion. Any courtesy extended to mosques, imams or madrasas should be revoked as “non applicable.” And while we are at it, when are we going to determine that the Democratic Party is a terrorist organization AND sponsor of terror, and revoke its charter (or whatever it cites to justify its existence)?

This long winded, pompous, Palestinian, jackass thinks he’s still dealing with Mr., “peace at any price,” Obama. President Trump should react by accelerating the move of the embassy to Jerusalem and openly declaring Americas renewed commitment to support Israel. The Palestinians have no interest in any so called “two state solution” and it’s about time the west officially recognized that and began working towards a one state solution. As for the Palestinian people, both they and the Israelis will be far better off as citizens of a free Israel, including the West Bank, than Israel will ever be with the current Arab/Palestinian leadership ruling anywhere in that region.

For this representative of a terrorist entity to make these threats after Obama just gave them $220,000,000 from the taxpayers of America is ludicrous in the extreme and, more importantly, an illustration of the gross incompetence of America’s foreign policy under eight years of the anti-American Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

    EXACTLY.

    The parallel is precise.

Kashmir is to India, vis a vis the de facto Empire of Islam (currently operating under assorted local franchises, so to speak), as Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria are to Israel.

You are in India? Please urge PM Modi to ally with Israel, and to unashamedly support Israel at the UN and elsewhere. Maybe he could move the INDIAN embassy in Israel, from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, even *before* Trump moves the US embassy!

Wouldn’t it be lovely to have the US and Indian embassies in Israel on the same street in Jerusalem, side by side, or facing each other? Wouldn’t it be great if, at the Islamintern-dominated UN, India were to vote with Israel and a pro-Israel US, whenever occasion arose (and Israel and US would reciprocate for India, whenever the Muslims started squawking about Kashmir and demanding it be ‘independent’ (i.e. be swallowed up by the dar al Islam).

Let Israel, USA and India set an example of pan-Infidel solidarity which is long, long overdue.

Kieth Gilbert I think is possessed of a kind of hilarious genius. Surely in the art of impeccable phraseology, “1/2 Breed Camel Driving Pedophile” hits the spot. Hilarious. It would slide right past any politically/ correctly programmed super computer and raise no howls about “racism” whatsoever. “Half Breed after all can just as validly apply to the camel, right? As in “he who drives the half breed camel.” “Driving” the camel, I suppose, might be construed as some sort of obscure, but affectionate, desert euphemism for an obscene and unsavory, but locally cherished, recreational tradition. But in no sense offensive, since we were all schooled beginning as freshmen in the all leveling tolerance demanded by dear old sacred “cultural relativism.”

On the topics of the UN, etc. I remember a very wise history professor I had fifty years ago now who introduced me to the reality of alternate names, or “trade names” in world affairs and how revealing it can be to look at older and less phony names for the same historical entities. The ironic and laughable fact for us Americans is one of those underlying realities that might be expressed by the statement, “UN R US” (My keyboard is minus the backwards R unfortunately.) But we ARE the freaking UN and always have been. It’s been skating on our dime from its inception, while so many of its 1/2 bred denizens have used the forum to revile us. to our faces. The same kind of whiny, anti-colonialist mind set that inspired No-Longer-President Barack Obama to remove the bust of Sir Winston Churchill from the Oval Office where it had resided in its place of honor for decades.

If President Trump and Congress choose to make our membership in the UN an inactive one, then with amazing speed it will fold up its various carnival joints and head on down the road. The flashiest of these of course is its invention of CAGCC (Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Climate Change) For any lingering doubts on this subject check out https://www.iceagenow.info/ among many others including the great and award winning https://wattsupwiththat.com/.

Anyhow, some of the other brand names, or doing business as phrases are of course Palestinians=Arabs (as pointed out above by Oliver) Holy Roman Empire = Germany, NATO = The Armed Forces of the United States in Europe, et.al. And the strange thing is, we are the ones who foot the bill for nearly all these fictions. Not counting the Holy Roman Empire of course.
Speaking of annoying euphemisms, I would really love it a lot if President Trump would go ahead and change the name of the Defense Department (a disingenuous old Leftist fraud) back to THE WAR DEPARTMENT. Our Founding Fathers gave it that name for a reason. ..

Calling things by their correct names, in fact ? As Danny De Vito said to Richard Dreyfus in that excellent kinematic entertainment “Tin Men” – “You’re right on the money with that kind of thinking, BB” ( or, in your case – “DD”….).

To combine the two strands of your discourse – namely the more correct, older names for institutions, and the inventive but unorthodox uses found by desert-dwellers – (“nomad nobbus maximus”) – for the camel – ( or “camelus camelus carnalus” as it is known thereabouts….) – it may be of some interest to you to know that the camel itself can be more correctly described as “The Ship of the Desert.” – a name whose derivation stems from the circumstance of it being generally full of Arab seamen……..
