“Witnesses said at least one gunman shouted ‘Allahu akbar!’ while opening fire at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night, killing six men.”
“A possible motive was unclear. Police said they did not believe there were other suspects.”
But since witnesses said there was “at least” one gunman, it may be that another suspect or suspects may emerge.
Meanwhile, the “Allahu akbar” remains mysterious. If Bissonnette shouted it, was he an “Islamophobe” mocking his Muslim victims? Or is he a convert to Islam, killing those whom he believed to be members of some deviant or heretical sect, in accord with Islam’s death penalty for heretics and apostates? Or did someone else scream this out, or no one at all? News reports thus far have not been helpful in making much sense of what happened here.
“Only 1 man arrested in Quebec mosque terror attack is a suspect, police say,” FoxNews.com, January 30, 2017:
Only one of the two men arrested in the minutes after the terror attack at a mosque in Quebec City is a suspect, police revealed Monday, saying the other man they handcuffed was a witness.
The lone suspect was identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a student at the nearby Laval University, a law enforcement source told Reuters.
Police initially named Mohamed el Khadir as a second suspect, The Associated Press reported, before cops apparently backtracked.
Witnesses said at least one gunman shouted ‘Allahu akbar!’ while opening fire at the Quebec Islamic Cultural Centre Sunday night, killing six men.
Police said they arrested one man outside the mosque — and another suspect turned himself in, calling 911 less than 20 minutes later and giving officers his location in d’Orleans so they could arrest him. It was unclear whether Bissonnette was the man who made the phone call.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the attack, calling it a “terrorist attack on Muslims.” The attack unfolded in the men’s section of the mosque….
A possible motive was unclear. Police said they did not believe there were other suspects.
One gunman was armed with an AK-47, the Le Soleil newspaper reported.
“The bullets hit people that were praying. People who were praying lost their lives. A bullet passed right over my head,” a witness who asked to remain anonymous told Radio Canada….

Cannot help being suspicious of the new claim that Muhammed was only a witness. Weren’t we told that there were 2 masked attackers? Wouldn’t a witness usually be a victim or bystander, not someone accompanying the shooter?

The event was terror no matter how you look at it and I pray for those who died and those who are left behind. But I also suspect there is more to this than a white guy going in alone. Mostly because of the alleged witness who called 911 and of the accounts of other witnesses in the mosque who have more than once stated there was more than one shooter. The pigs head from a while back is indication that something else may be going on. Justin Beiber will definitely cover it up……..so will Canada’s own government funded fake news CBC
Dee Mac says
First of all, sincere condolences to all the victims, their families and Muslims worshippers at the mosque.
The official version of this story is highly unbelievable. I followed this event for hours that night on Twitter and noted that ALL, every one, of the reports from witnesses who had been fired on, stated that there were 2, and maybe even 3, shooters. The witnesses also reported that one of the shooters yelled A Akbar, and that it sounded like one of the shooters had a Québécois accent. Later on, there was a leaked report from a police radio that said that one of the suspects was in custody and was from Morocco, and another had been chased and caught. Then there was a complete media blackout for many hours with people on Twitter complaining about the absolute lack of info.
Here are some questions: Witnesses heard enough words from one of the shooters to recognize that he spoke with a Québécois accent. So what was Bissonette saying and to whom was he speaking? Was it to the so-called “witness” Mohammed? If Mohammed was a witness, was he praying at the mosque like all of the other witnesses, or what was he doing there? Where are all the statements from the worshippers? Why did Bissonnette phone in a surrender? All shootings like this end in a shootout/suicide or an escape. Why did this young university student have multiple AK47s and handguns in his car, how did he get them, where in the world did they come from? Who uttered the cry of Allahu Akbar that was heard in this case and is heard during such radical attacks?
I smell a massive cover-up/plea agreement/fake news.

Totally agree this wreaks of foul play.
Trudeau is an absolute grub, and I have no doubt he and the mounties have manipulated evidence here.
Originally several witnesses said there were 2 (or 3) shooters who were masked and entered the Mosque and began shooting.
The vehicle belonging to the person several km away was reported to have two AK guns and one pistol.
In original reports, the Moroccan was said to attend the same university as the Quebecan.
In later reports, the Morcoccan was said to not a member of the Mosque, but just a coincidental passerby.
I would bet my life that this is a cover up manipulated by Trudeau and other libtards intent on demonizing Trump and supporting mass Islamic migration into Canada.
It is astounding that the final story was withheld for at least 36 hours, and then it contradicted earlier reports eye witnesses gave to the news media.

Now they say that. Started with 2-3 masked Shooters. Why would you wear a mask unless you plan on getting away with the crime ? Bisonette gave up, didn’t run. The morrocan was not a member of the mosque he just happened to be there? This mosque is a moderate one as well. Why the media blackout for 36 hrs? Then boom it all comes out that it was just a single white shooter who supported trump and le pen.
This is a false flag. Don’t think it can happen? Watch ‘LOOSE CHANGE’ and you will see another official story get taken apart at the seams with hrs of video evidence and eyewitness testimonies.

The true genius here is the founder of Islam…. Mohammed (pbuh?). I mean think about it. The man deviced such a fool proof system that encompasses religion and politics to attain world domination.
Think of all the other tyrannical dictators with similar schemes of global conquest, before and after Mohammed, Alexander the great, Hitler, Stalin et al.
The masses eventually saw right through their plot and destroyed their schemes of world domination, labeling them as such.
However with Mohammed even though his “revealed scriptures” are littered with blatant commands for believers to kill, destroy, maim, take captives and eventually seize control of the entire world governance and place it under the darkened flag of Islam, leaders of our enlightened western governments don’t get it.
The bulwark of our western civilization is crumbling because we are bleeding tears of compassion for the ones who want to eventually enslave us.
Their taquiyya tactics are working well on our leftists politicians, media and even Christian and Jewish leaders.
While they use our own freedoms to erode our liberal values, they preserve their own backward barbaric Islamic conservative ones to subjugate their women and impose laws on our societies…. Yet with rose colored politically correct glasses on, we are rather oblivious to or blinded by our tendency to tolerate even their worst laws.
No matter who commits a the crime, Muslim vs the world or a westerner against Muslims, the Muslims will always be given the privileged status of the victim, either of a backlash that never happens or being the brunt of a “hate crime”.

The news media doesn’t care about the victims, though. They are using this horrible act to demonize all individuals with conservative views. The left blames Trump, even though the vast majority of Trump supporters are not bigots and would never murder another human being. They also implicated Marine Le Pen because Le Pen is against the globalist movement that is ruining Europe. Never mind that Bissonnette lives in Canada and couldn’t vote for either candidate.

Glad The Rebel is still looking at this in spite of being castigated.
Walter Sieruk says
First, is needs to be declared that whoever the men are who committed the shooting in the mosque in Canada are men who are murderous fiends and should be punished for their evil actions. Second, there is a change that those shooter and murders of the Muslim might themselves be Muslims. As strange as this sounds taken at face value. After all, one of the murder suspects in this massacre has the name of Mohamed el Khadir. So to explain this evil and madness is the fact that many time violent jihadist Muslims do gather together chant “Death to infidels and hypocrites.” By the term “hypocrite” they mean peaceful Muslims who want to live non-violent lives and will not engage in the militant jihad. Violent jihadist/Muslims also have the Islamic doctrine of “Murua.” This is the Islamic dogma of doing evil for the greater good. The way this deadly shooting in Canada “is for the greater good” Is that much Islamic internet propaganda making al Westerns look by terrorists is one of the outcomes of the mass murder in that Canadian mosque. Third, if and that is “if” and non-Muslims who hate the religion of Islam and were just mocking when they yelled out “Allahu Akbar” when committing the murders than they are not only evil and murderous men but they are men of very low reasoning power and they also much have an extremely low unintelligent mentally. For as much as I despise Islam in only pity the poor brainwashed Muslims and understand that the way to handle the problem of Islam is by reason and not violence. For it’s very important that Westerners s not sink to the very low level of violet Muslim terrorists. Westerns should be above such brutal and savage behavior.
Getting back to the idea of using reason as a good way to handle the topic of the deceptive power of Islam .An example of the use of reason is as follows.
A claim by Islamic scholars as well as jihadists is that no one can produce something as beautiful as the Quran in the way the words are arranged and thus it can only be of God. This claim should be answered.
First, all someone has to do is examine some of the great works of literature to fine much written beauty. Such as the Greek epic poet Homer with his Iliad and Odyssey and then Virgil who produced the Aeneid has beauty. Even one of the non-Bible books in the Apocrypha called The Song of Three Children is also very beautiful. Thus just because someone sees a work that is written in great beauty doesn’t mean it’s inspired by God.
Second, the scholar Edward Gibbon wrote after an examination of the Quran that it is an “incoherent jumble of fable and precept and declamation which seldom excites a sentiment or an idea, sometimes craws in the dust and is sometimes lost in the clouds…” The writer Thomas Carlyle wrote the Quran is “A wearisome jumble, crude, incondite [with] endless iterations [and] long-windedness…” Likewise, the philosopher David Hume was NOT favorably impressed after reading the Quran.
[Source of the three scholars mentioned – Secrets of The Koran: Revealing Insight Into Islam’s Holy Book .56,66, by Don Richardson]
Furthermore, the following should be taken into consideration. Of course the Muslim who reads the Quran will see great beauty in the way the words are arranged. This is, in part, because of the power of suggestion after being told so many times that the Quran is so beautifully written. That’s an old brainwashing method, repeating and being told that same thing again and again. Since he or she is always being told the same lie will end up believing that lie. In addition to that, the Imams try to discourage their people from reading other works, such as the Bible, so then they don’t have much or anything to compare or contrast the Quran with. Of course there are some Muslim’s that do read other works, but they are exceptions and they read other things only after they were already brainwashed by the Imams. In short, the Muslims can’t read the Quran objectively because their Imams have programmed them to have a strong bias towards it.

Watch all of The Rebel’s reports from Quebec City after the attack
Faith GoldyRebel Host
On January 29, 2017, two armed gunmen burst into a mosque in Quebec City, killing 6 and wounding 19 more.
It was a horrendous attack that must be condemned. And immediately it was.
But within minutes, before any facts were in, the mainstream media had already made up their mind about what happened: it was “Islamophobia”.
Some journalists — and even a Muslim Quebec politician — said that Donald Trump was to blame.
But an eyewitness at the mosque said one of the gunmen shouted “Allah Akbar”. That’s what a Muslim terrorist says, not an “Islamophobe”.
At their press conference this morning, Quebec police refused to name the two suspects taken into custody last night. Why?
What’s going on here — a Muslim attacking a mosque? What are the facts? And can we trust the mainstream media to tell us the truth?
We don’t know all the facts yet. But unlike the CBC, we intend to uncover the truth, not bury it.
So The Rebel sent Faith Goldy to Quebec City with a cameraman to report on the facts wherever they lead.

RAW: Video from Quebec City mosque suggests bitter rivalry with another mosque
January 30, 2016 – A Facebook video, posted two weeks ago by the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec, suggests a bitter rivalry with another breakaway mosque.

In UK they said the mosque which was attacked was a mosque of the Amidaya sect, which other Muslims do not recognise as proper Muslims.

BLC says
Feeling weird about anything like this that happens in Canada is par for the course because you’re not getting the whole truth. They’re desperately trying to figure out how to put Muslims in the best possible light before they give out anymore details.
Raymond William Stewart says
There is so much about this attack that is unclear. One thing that is clear is that the killings have been political fodder for both pro Muslims and anti Muslims. Let us take a moment, before we try to gain political points, to reflect on the fact that people have died and families are grieving. Our hearts should go out to them.
There are many possibilities in this attack. One that no one has yet suggested is that Alexandre Bissonnette is not the killer but just a lonely no body who is seeking his moment in the spotlight by confessing to a killing he never carried out. The other possibility is that the person who handed himself into the police, and who was regarded by the police as a suspect initially was Mohamed el Khadir who could also be the person who rang 911 and was simply a witness.
My point is that we need to wait to hear what the final investigation reveals before we jump to conclusions.

This story seems convoluted and has changed several times in the course of 24 hours. Some reports now say the Moroccan guy was actually the one who called the police from the mosque during the attack, which of course belies the fact the police held him more than twelve hours before announcing he was “only” a witness. The mosque itself is known for its fundamentalist radicalism and ties to Hamas/MB and should have been (if it in fact was not) under surveillance. The mosque (Islamic Cultural Center of Quebec) was prominent 4 years ago in fighting a planned charter of secularist values in the province which most of the province outside of Montreal supported. http://pointdebasculecanada.ca/conference-de-presse-du-centre-culturel-islamique-de-quebec-contre-le-projet-de-charte-des-valeurs/ The charter was defeated and the provincial nationalist party lost the next election. Quebec City is a known stronghold of Quebec nationalists. The other item of interest is the ties of the Islamic Cultural Center to the University of Laval (in Quebec City). The shooter, and the Moroccan are reportedly students, and one of the people shot in the mosque was a professor there.

Witnesses at the mosque say an AK-47 was used. What kind of gun did Khadir have when arrested? Cops say they can’t releases names till they appear in court which is a new rule they just made up because it’s never been used before. Why did all the politicians and MSM seem to know for a fact this was an islamaphobic hate crime? The whole thing stinks of Soros but let’s blame Trump. This mosque and another one were in some kind of rivalry. Both the suspect and ‘witness’ attend Laval university with large Muslim numbers of students. Way too fishy and convenient.
Sam says
Well I do not believe in Canadian or American media. I do not wish also no harm to anybody who is muslim or infidel.
However we all know that these types of incidents will have to increase as people will get more and more upset with what the religion of peace brings to any civilized country. Conflict with Islam is inescapable
Elton says
Update: the cops seem to be getting their story straight if indeed the new version is correct. Apparently Khadir was at the mosque at the time of the shooting. He claims to have been giving a victim cpr when a cop came in holding a gun. He panicked thinking it was another shooter and ran down the street. The cops caught up to him and arrested him but he admits his running away was obviously suspicious looking to the cops so he says they did the right thing by chasing him down – hence the confusion. Meanwhile it was apparently Bissonnette (who actually was the one with the gun) also ran down the street, stopped a couple blocks away, phoned 911 explaining what he had down and then waited for the cops to arrest him. On a personal note I condemn this act of violence no matter who the victims are or what the motives are and my condolences to the victims and their families. Having said that, if indeed this is what happened it is looking like it is indeed a bigoted attack on Muslims. This will certainly give the Islamic invasion supporters ample ammunition to project their agenda as the anti islamaphobic rhetoric is already way over the top.

Thanks if true my theory below is nil except for where Muslims are murder occurs.
josco says
The story still is incoherent in spite of great efforts to whitewash the anti-Islam part.
How would Mohammed not see that cops were behind the guns–and when running down street miss cop cars? Poorly done coverup.
Don’t know how many witnesses said Allahu Akbar but the one sounded pretty specific. So then “maybe it was part of the prayers”
(because Islam defenders still want it to mean “Praise Jesus” or “Dear Lord”)
google the shooting and all you see is how SHAMEFUL Fox was for having to be told TWICE by Trudeau to memory-hole the damned story.
I’ve never seen a foreign government demand that media ERASE all evidence of early report. That seems juuust slightly sketchy. It’s what screams FAKE.
Elton says
Couple questions still remain. Why did witnesses say there were 2 attackers and who yelled Allahu Ackbar?
Tim says
Reports from the UK claims the new suspect “called” the police to give himself in. Sounds a bit odd, doesn’t it? It also negates the witness statements given by the mosque goers.
R. Craigen says
For those noting that Bissonnette has FB likes for Donald Trump and Marine Le Pen it is worth noting that he also “liked” Jack Layton online, the late leader and current patron saint of the NDP, Canada’s official Socialist Party. Either there is nothing to infer from these online twitches, or the guy was a mixed up person with scrambled-egg ideology, probably more of a nihilist or anarchist than any mainstream view.
kessler says
A Muslim extremist shoots and kills an unarmed soldier, then storms Parliament Hill with his firearm, and we’re told repeatedly he’s not a terrorist. Mulcair put the blame on a lack of mental health care in this country.
A white guy shoots up a mosque, and one of the first things Turdeau does is call him a terrorist.
His profile does not seem to fit in with the mental health excuse
moeped says
The attacker obviously has mental health issues and is not a terrorist.
On the other hand, he may be a convert to Islam carrying out a plan hatched by those who converted him.
Many of the terrorist attacks in Canada have been perpetrated by converts, so this may be by design.
Either way I predict Alexandre Bissonnette will be murdered in prison.
Anonymous says
Very odd, indeed. One of the attackers is now just a ‘witness’? (Not just a worshipper, the term witness is odd). Hmm. One of them called the police contemplating suicide after the attack. Is that the “witness”? Was he supposed to attack to but ran and then called the police afterwards? And on the very day Trudeau was behaving as Angela Merkel inviting the Muslim world in. This is just too weird. Something is off here.
Lioness says
So the police is now going to ignore witnesses that stated that there were TWO gunmen, and one was yelling Allahu Akbar. That is very suspicious. Quebec police has a long history of corruption; just recently one of the directors was suspended for corruption. There could be a cover up.

I see any number of desperate, ridiculous attempts to avoid the obvious conclusion that this was indeed an instance of violence directed against Muslims by a Muslim-hating bigot. All I can say is that intellectual and moral honesty would mandate a grovelling apology for the previous piece on a mosque attack “hoax.” Reality doesn’t always conform to the categories with which we are comfortable.
Raymond William Stewart says
Are we getting the truth from the Media? We know the police have charged Alexandre Bissonette with the crime. That there is only one suspect. Other than that the police are saying nothing. The Media on the other hand are saying he is a right wing extremist based on an interview with anonymous university friend. We know the media have come up with false witnesses in the past as in the Orlando terrorist attack. The media are also prone to exaggerate stating that the Mosque in question had been attacked several times in the past but could only state one example in that a pigs head was left on the front door step of the Islamic center in question. Does sticking a pigs head on the footpath constitute an attack? I don’t think so. So before we go pointing figures one way or the other we need to wait until the facts come by which time probably no one will be interested.

I searched the internet to find out if the claims made about Alexandre Bissonette’s Face Book page were valid. Turns out there is nothing really to suggest he was anything other than a normal University Student. He posted pictures of himself, his family and friends doing stuff most young people do. There we no hate messages though he had links to posts about the Trump election, Israel and Le Pen the Right Wing politician in France but no comments that would suggest any violence. The Media have simply made up the facts as they went along, overstating and exaggerating to support their anti Trump narrative. The attacks on Trump are relentless and is causing many people to lose sight of what is really going on. Again, whatever motivated Bissonette to make the attack he made we will have to wait until he appears before a judge in few days for a plea hearing and perhaps latter for a preliminary hearing where the judge hears the evidence and makes a judgement as to whether there is sufficient evidence for a court case to proceed. Even then we may not know what Bissonette’s motives were until the actual Court Case.

The dichotomy of the Left is quite disturbing.
A deranged man mows down unarmed people in an airport (shopping mall, bar, whatever) and pledges loyalty to ISIS. The Left says the man’s beliefs had nothing to do with his actions, and let’s not judge all Muslims!
A deranged man is arrested for mowing down unarmed people in a mosque. Some people say the man supports Donald Trump. The man lives in Canada and didn’t participate in the Presidential election. The Left say the man’s beliefs had everything to do with his actions, and it’s because Donald Trump was elected and everyone who supports Trump is “Islamophobic.”
If one points out the hypocrisy of this inconsistency, they start name-calling.
Why is it always about the Muslims these days? Other people live in this world, too.

One thing is sure RCMP is not revealing to the public how that young man was able to obtain assult rifle ? Canada has a strict laws in obtaining any type of gun or weapon ! So my question is how he was able to obtain a gun?

I’ve been wondering the same thing.

This whole “narrative” is still very weird. These Canadians concur:
